If I had a belly to lose and I wanted it gone before the end of the year, this is exactly what I would do. If anyone says it's too late, I can't do this, it doesn't work for me, I need you to listen to me really quick. I've done this for countless men. I've done this for myself. I even studied it at the University of San Diego, where I also played football for 5 years, learning from the best of the best trainers, coaches, nutritionists. The list goes on. So what I'm about to tell you here in the rest of this video works for losing fat and getting in the best shape of your life. I've seen the process in my clients, I've done it myself, and if you want to lose that belly before the end of the year, this is the video to do that. But before I get into all the rules and how you're actually going to lose the fat, I need you to understand this: weight loss and fat loss are not the same thing. And if you want to lose fat and not just overall weight, you have to use the specific mechanisms to actually do that properly. Like I said, I've done it with my clients, I've done it myself, and I've learned from the best of the best. So what I'm telling you works, and it's up to you to implement it. But I need you to think about something for right now before I really get into it. As I'm recording this right now, there's 85 days until 2027. But whether you're watching this with 85 days left, 60 days left, 1 day left, all of these still apply to you. It's not about the timeframe until 2027. It's about implementing them when you learn it. It's been long enough that you've been saying, I'm going to start Monday, I'm going to start next month, I'm going to start on the first of the year. But eventually you have to take your own word for it and actually do it. I have heard that far too many times, but the people who get the results, that get their confidence back, that feel good in their body, they implement what they learn. They don't go watch more videos. They don't tell themselves, I'm going to start next week. They do it right now. That's the main difference, because the more that you tell yourself you're going to do something, the less you're going to do it. So stop talking about it. Stop telling people. Stop thinking about it. Just do it right now. After you watch this video, implement the steps and then go start to change your life. Now, the first tip that I have to lose that belly fat before the end of the year is actually build your leg muscles. I know this sounds very weird, but it's actually backed by science. So your quads, hamstrings, and glutes are the biggest muscles in your body, and I need you to remember that. First of all, muscle is where the glucose that's in the blood gets used for fuel, and that's critical to know because the more muscle that you have, the easier it'll be to be insulin sensitive. And the more insulin sensitive that you are, the easier you can burn fat for fuel and actually use glucose for fuel as well. Think about it like this: if you don't have a lot of muscle on your body in general, It's going to be challenging for your body to use that glucose for fuel. So what does that do? That keeps your glucose and insulin raised, keeping you insulin resistant. Now, the reason that's so important is because when your insulin is raised, you can't burn fat for fuel. So if you built up your biggest muscles, your quads, glutes, hamstrings, it would be easier for your body to pull that glucose out of the blood, keeping you insulin sensitive and actually being able to use fat for fuel. And in a study of over 13,000 adults, every 10% increase in muscle mass was linked to 11% less insulin resistance. And secondly, arguably more importantly, is that muscle burns more calories at rest. 3 times more to be specific. So at rest, muscle burns about 6 calories per day, whereas fat burns about 2 calories per day. So just by increasing the amount of muscle mass that you have on your body, your body also increases your metabolism by up to 3 times. Imagine if you burned up to 3 times more calories throughout the day without doing anything extra. And then think about how much easier it would be for you to burn that excess belly fat. Now, this all ties back into the legs because it's the easiest and the most important to grow because they're the biggest muscles. We can pack on the most muscle in that area. The second tip for you to burn that belly fat is eat more volume. What I mean by this is more volume foods, foods that don't have a lot of calories but fill up your stomach. One of, if not the most challenging aspects of the cutting journey is the hunger that you have. So when you eat more volume foods, it actually widens your stomach, which in turn decreases the amount of ghrelin. Ghrelin is a hunger hormone that gives you that hunger sensation. But when you eat more volume foods that widen your stomach, it decreases that hormone and then it decreases the amount of hunger that you have. So it's really as simple as this: eat more volume foods, widen your stomach, and you'll naturally eat less throughout the day, making the cut effortless. Tip number 3 that I have for you to lose that belly fat is controlling your insulin. And honestly, other than a calorie deficit, this is the most surefire way to ensure that you lose belly fat. So insulin quietly decides whether you lose fat or you lose overall body mass. The mechanism for this can be complex, but let me explain it simply. When you eat carbs, your body produces insulin to transport glucose into the cell. Your cells use that glucose for energy. But when you constantly eat carbs, you're constantly increasing your insulin. Which is a storage hormone for that glucose. But if you don't give your body time to reset and bring down that glucose and insulin, it can never burn fat for fuel. So your body is constantly battling and constantly in a state of bringing down that insulin and glucose. And if you're constantly in that state, that leads to an excess amount of fat gain and impossible to burn fat as well. So the easiest way to fix this is just eat less carbs overall, but also eat them at specific times of the day. Specifically before and after your training period. You might have seen it before where some people effortlessly lose fat in their cutting journey, and I've seen that before as well. And every single time that I've seen it and I've coached it and that I've done it myself, it ties back to insulin and how they use it and manipulate it to actually burn fat for fuel. I actually have a whole nother video on this and how to manage your insulin to burn fat for fuel. I'll link it in the description. But tip number 4 that I have for you to lose that belly fat is focusing on your inflammation and gut health. Every single mechanism that done in your body— fat loss, muscle building, and everything else— is decided by your cells. But the issue is, with our American diets, it actually inflames our cells, and inflammation in the cells severely limits the electron transport chain. So think about it like this: when you eat foods that your body's not aligned to have, it causes inflammation in the cells, in the mitochondria. That causes the electron transport chain to not function the way that it should. When that electron transport chain is broken, every single mechanism in your body doesn't function properly. The fat loss, the muscle building, literally every single thing breaks down to that electron transport chain and the mitochondria. So you're probably thinking, well, how do we reduce the inflammation and fix that electron transport chain? It's as simple as this, and there's 2 things. The biggest lever to pull is switching your diet to a whole foods focus. Think if it came from the earth or it has a mom and dad, it's most likely okay to eat. Secondly is reducing oxidative stress in the body, because oxidative stress produces free radicals, produces inflammation in those cells. So a mix of a whole foods diet and reducing the oxidative stress will help lower inflammation and fix that electron transport chain. And I know I just said this about the insulin, but honestly, they are both so incredibly important. I cannot stress it enough. But this is one of the biggest levers that you can pull overall, is fixing the inflammation, because when you get your cells to work properly Everything else functions more efficiently. And tip number 5 to lose your belly fat is to focus and prioritize recovery because this is where the results actually happen. In one study, researchers put overweight adults on the same calorie deficit over 2 weeks. One group slept 8.5 hours a night, the other slept 5.5. It was the same exact diet, but the short sleepers lost 55% less of their weight as fat. They lost 60% more muscle and were hungrier the whole time. And it hits muscle building too. After just one night of no sleep, the body's muscle building rate dropped 18%. So even if you're eating right, training hard, working on your insulin, focusing on the inflammation, but you're not focusing on your sleep and recovery, well, you just saw it in the studies. The results simply won't come out the way that you're expecting. You have to treat your sleep as part of the program, part of the process. You have to prioritize this no matter what. When you focus on these 5 things, the fat loss process becomes so much more efficient. I mean, look at my clients. Christian, Issei, Vinci, Dom, Dan, Ken— the list can go on. The reason they were able to get such great results is because they focused on the biggest levers. They focused on the majors and not the minors. That's what you have to do. And honestly, the biggest reason that they got those results is because they took action. They stopped telling themselves on Monday, next week, next month. They looked themselves in the mirror and they didn't like what they saw anymore. And instead of watching another YouTube video, instead of wishing that they had the discipline to go do it, they just took action and they changed something in their lives. And over time, with the right plan, they were able to get the results that they were after. It is a simple math equation. When you put in the work and you stay consistent with it, the results show. Now, if it feels like too much for you right now to create your own personalized plan, go in depth on the training, the progressive overload, the nutrition, what exactly to eat, when to eat it, how to do it, how to stay consistent, and needing the accountability, use the link in the description to book a one-on-one call with me. I've done this for countless clients now where they were in your same position. They kept telling themselves next week was the time. They would look themselves in the mirror and ask, how did I get like this? So if it feels like too much work for you right now where you don't know what to do, don't know how to do it, use the link in the description and see the options that I have for my one-on-one coaching program.
