If you can't seem to lose the excess weight no matter what you do, there is a very high chance that you are actually insulin resistant. So even if you're walking the 10,000 steps a day, you're eating right, you're training, you're doing all the stuff that people online tell you to do, and you're not seeing results, insulin resistance is a very high possibility for you. So as quickly as I can, I'm going to explain what this means. Insulin, all it is is a hormone that transports glucose from the bloodstream into the cell. You want to be insulin sensitive, meaning your cells can easily take in the the glucose. But when you constantly spike your insulin and blood sugar through the refined carbs, through snacking and eating all the time, you become insulin sensitive. And when your insulin is high, you basically can't burn fat for fuel and your growth hormone never gets activated. So for a second, forget about all of the influencers telling you what to do. Focus on your insulin. And there's 3 things that you should do. Number 1, 16:8 intermittent fasting. This allows you to automatically keep your insulin low for 16 hours of the day and activate your growth hormone. Number 2, Really try your best to limit the amount of carbs and focus it around your training. So right before and right after, that's all of your carbs for the day. And number 3, cut out all refined carbs, no questions asked. Wheat, bread, pasta, bagels, cookies— everything that is refined and carbs, you have to cut it out. If all you do is focus on those 3 things, forget about the walking, the training, the fat will start to melt off.
