There's two simple concepts that everybody should abide by if you actually want to burn fat and keep it off for the summer. It's exactly what I did to go from here to here in just a couple of weeks. And I noticed in this first photo I felt a little bit chunky around the midsection, and I wanted to burn it and keep it off before the summer. So I stuck to these two simple things. The first one is utilizing specific muscle groups to be able to burn more calories and fat at rest. Muscle overall is anabolic, but specifically your quads, hamstrings, glutes the 3 biggest muscle groups in your body. If you can build those up, it'll be able to burn calories and fat more than the rest of your body at rest. Secondly is carb timing, so keeping your insulin low when you're not active, eating carbs right before and right after to utilize it as energy and replenish the glycogen to actually build muscle. But if you keep your insulin low the rest of the day, your body will naturally burn fat for fuel instead of using the glucose for energy. So the more that you work on those specific muscle groups, the more that you keep your insulin low the rest of the day when you're not working out, you'll be able to burn fat naturally for fuel at rest.
