Faith (Emuna) In Great Neck - 2022

In this extended lecture, the speaker explores several intertwined themes rooted in Jewish law and spirituality. He begins by questioning the halachic basis of matrilineal Jewish identity, asking whether the mother’s egg or womb determines a child’s status, and examines the implications of modern assisted‑reproductive technologies (egg donation, surrogacy) for Jewish lineage and the prohibition of mamzerut. He argues that both the egg and the womb must be from a Jewish, unmarried donor to avoid doubt. The talk then shifts to a vivid anecdote about an electrician in Eilat whose sudden anger caused a fatal heart attack, illustrating the lethal consequences of uncontrolled rage. From this story the speaker derives a broader moral lesson: anger shortens life and must be curbed through daily work on one’s Emunah (faith). He proceeds to discuss the importance of confidence in Hashem, contrasting reliance on divine providence with self‑reliance through education or wealth, and critiques the belief that higher education guarantees material success. Throughout, he weaves scriptural references (Job, Psalms, Talmudic sayings) and personal experiences, urging listeners to cultivate trust in God, pray for faith, and avoid the heresy of placing ultimate trust in worldly achievements.

And now Baruch Hashem, this renovated place, you made it very nice and beautiful. B'ezrat Hashem, we'll be a lot of kedusha here. Amen. I was asked to speak a little bit about Emunah. It's something we all need. Even the most righteous people in the world need a Muna. It's something that comes and goes every day. If you don't work on it, you lose it. But before we get into the topic, this lecture will be L'Ilui Nishmat Avraham Tzvi ben Moshe Aryeh, it's his Yahrzeit today. Also L'Ilui Nishmat Marilyn Yvonne Feldstein and Marcus Berada Feldstein. And also, Lili Shmuel Flora bat Mercedes and Lev Diler Fuah bat Tzvachan Michan bat Sarah, Imenu Veshavon bat Michan. So, as you all know, we are now in delicate days now, when we don't know what's gonna happen this week. There could be a war starting between Russia and Ukraine, something that easily can lead to other countries and can lead, Chas v'Shalom, to a world war. When you have countries that have nuclear, out of nowhere it can start before you realize it will be go-go magog. We don't know. One thing we know that the Gaon of Vilna, 250 years ago, he said that there will be like a sign that when Russia attacked Ukraine, they'll reach all the way to Constantinople, which is next to Istanbul over there. There will be maybe a sign for the Guevara to start. Mm-hmm. Okay. Anyway, so this is one thing the Gaumi Vilna say. Some say also spoke about this island, Krym, which you know now, you know what's the reasons that Russia attacks Ukraine now. They're about to, they want to attack Ukraine And the reason is because Ukraine is going to join NATO. And then it's going to be not just Ukraine, it's going to be all Europe. Before it happens, they want to attack them. It's like similar in sport. Today they have stupid ball and, you know, the best way to win a game is best defense is attack. That's what they say. So best, best way to defend yourself sometimes is to attack first. That's what the Torah says, by the way. It's something that comes from the Torah. Abalo or g'cha, someone who is on the way to kill you, ashkem lo or go, kill him first. Don't wait for him to get to you and have a position to kill you. You go and attack him first. That's what they did on the Six-Day War. They know with the Arabs, you know, you're never gonna finish with them. So, you know what, let's surprise them. They shocked them. Six days, destroyed all of them. I actually was now in Israel in the Knesset, under the ground there, meeting with some key politicians there, and they took me to a secret room. In the Knesset. Most Knesset members are not aware of this room. They've never been there. It's a very, very secret room. This is a small room where the cabinet members of the Israeli government sat the night before the Six-Day War. They made the vote if to start the war or not. You have all their chairs with their names on it. Begin, Golda, all the people there. Rabbi Eben. All the politicians of those days. This is a historical room. There are much the same original chairs there. That's when they decided to start the war, which, Baruch Hashem, was one of the biggest victories in the history of the world. Anyway, so because we don't know what's gonna happen, as you can see, all prices are already now going very high. It's already $94 a barrel, used to be $30. Now it's going to go to $120. People will pay in LA more than $5 a gallon. It's affecting us. The war over there, it's affecting the whole world. Who knows what can happen? Who knows? Only Hashem knows. So Baruch Hashem, we have to now elevate our Emunah that everything that Hashem does, does for the nation of Israel, like the Gemara says. Every war out there, every attack, every hurricane, every pandemic, everything that ever happened in the world, it's all for the sake of the nation of Israel. Everything that happens, even a flood in China, it's all for the sake of the nation of Israel. What's the connection? What's the connection if there's a flood in China in the middle of nowhere that nobody basically almost, you know, know what's going on? You hear it on the news that there was flood, 10,000 people drowned. How does it affect the Jewish people? The answer is the Chafetz Chaim say when Hashem does it to the Chinese, right? The Chinese are able to understand that this is the hand of God. Most of them are atheists. They don't even believe in God. They believe in money. That's it. Hard work and money. So they don't look at God punishing them for the idol worship. There's a lot of idol worshipers, Buddhists, there is Christians there. There's a lot of idols. And there's a lot of atheists. Either way, it's wicked people. Almost all 2 billion people are wicked there. Almost all of them. So when Hashem does 60,000, 70,000 that died in a second, they gonna learn a mussar from it? Of course not. So why Hashem punishing them? What's the point? They're never gonna learn. All the punishments of Hashem is measure for measure. He wants people to wake up. He wants to wake up the country. He wants to wake up the people. But these Chinese people are not capable of doing cheshbon nefesh. They can look and say, you know what, God is punishing us. So the Chafetz Chaim says, so why do Hashem strike in China? For us, the Jewish people, to get scared. They should have been us. That's what we say in a Haggadah of Pesach, Shfoch Hamatrai al bo'im asher lo yedahucha. When the midat hadin rises, when the anger of Hashem rises, Instead of throwing the anger on us, throw it on these goyim that do not acknowledge you. We at least acknowledge you. Yeah, we may be wicked, we may follow our desires and our stupidity, but we don't deny your existence. The problem is that today you cannot say it anymore. When the Haggadah was written more than 2,000 years ago, Every Jew believed in God. You didn't have stupid people that come and say that the world was made from a random explosion. Only today you have such fools. Where did you have people 2,000 years ago that would say that a camera would come out of an explosion? Or a watch? Or a car? Or a spaceship? Or a brain of a human being, which is more sophisticated than everything? Who would be so stupid to think that something so sophisticated and so complicated with 10 trillion connections, size of an apple, more advanced than all computers in the world combined as one brain, multiplied by 8 billion people almost, not to talk about all the animals and the birds and the fish and, and they're on all the galaxies and all the movements of everything, to come and say that all of that was made by an explosion explosion, by an accident, by all random. Do you know anything more stupid than that? Obviously not. Anyone who talks like that needs to be hospitalized in a mental institution for the rest of his life. He's danger for humanity. He's danger for society. How can you go to a doctor like this? That say everything was made by an explosion. It's not normal. How can you rely on someone like this? How can you rely on a scientist like this that says everything that happens, the sun, the moon, all the movements of the stars, it's all random? Can you rely on someone like this? Someone like this is no one. Do you want to marry someone like that? That his brain does not function? The answer is, don't worry, none of them really believes it. You don't have one atheist in the whole world. Don't let anyone fool you. Anyone who comes and says to you, "I don't believe in God," is a liar. You don't believe me? Bring him to me. I connect him to a lie detector. If he's right, I give him $1,000. If I'm right, he gives me $100. I'll be a billionaire in a week. Bring all the atheists you know. You know, over here there is a Persian designer. Barami, you know him? Barami Hakakian? I had a debate with him, I don't know, 7, 8 years ago. Someone told me he's an atheist, he speaks to the Persian boys, he turns them away from the religion. Would you like to debate him? I said, of course, why not? We made a debate on Fifth Avenue in Manhattan. 3 hours he wasted my time. Even his friend, the pharmacist that he brought with him, in the middle of the debate got up and said, I say, my friend, the rabbi crushed you enough. He thought to bring him to help him. It's not me, I didn't crush him. The Torah crushed him. How can he make such stupid claims? But you want to hear the best part? For 3 hours he said amenetias, amenetias, amenetias. When I finished the debate, he got up and said, come rabbi, let me give you a blessing. I'm a Kohen. "Yevarechecha, Shem bishleirecha, anethi is." That's okay, it's not only him. All the atheists are the same liars. That's what they are, liars. None of them believe the world was made by itself. The same way they don't believe a watch was made by itself. The same way they don't believe a plastic cup was made by itself. Nothing is made by itself. Not a pencil, not a pen, not a rug. Persian rug was made by itself? What do you think? Was made by itself? The wool, the linen, whatever they make it from, all came into place, all the flowers, symmetric lines, everything was made by itself. If someone would claim this rug right here, this beautiful rug was made by an explosion in Isfahan, the Israeli Air Force flew a bomb and a rat came out. What would they say? Ah, come on, you cannot let him be a politician, it's not normal. Ah, but the professors in Harvard are any better? The answer is they don't believe it. This is a scam of all the wicked people in the world to deny the existence of God to release themselves from their obligation to Him. Nobody wants to be a debt to anyone. People don't want to owe anyone anything. They don't want to owe. And if you acknowledge God that revived you and give you oxygen and takes care of everything you have, you owe him all the time. You have to, you have to thank him and praise him for every breath you take. They don't want this. They want to be free. Why? Because you are ungrateful. Most people in the world are ungrateful. 100%. The— one of the ways to check how ungrateful people are is to see how they behave to their parents. Parents raised them all their life, took care of them, and then they don't look at them when they get old. There is a verse about it in the Tanakh, King Solomon wrote, "Alta shlicheni ledzikna, kichlot kochi alta zveni." When my strength will wear out, don't leave me. I'm gonna be dependable. Some kids are good. They don't dump their parents. They keep them at home. They take care of them. Especially Persians, Syrians. That's, by the way, the secret of the wealth. Someone who is not grateful to his parents, Hashem gives him special blessing. Someone who dumps his parents in some nursery or whatever you call it, let other people take care of them and come to visit once a month just to show their face, that's not exactly what Hashem expects from us. You know, there was a very big Rav, Orachaim HaKadosh, 300 years ago. He lived in Morocco. And one time he came to— his boat crashed and he came out in some island. And in the island over there, there were robbers. Very dangerous murderers. And he didn't know. He found a place, you know, he thought maybe he's gonna find a place. And when they came, they called him over there. And they said, oh, you came to our place, we're gonna kill you now. And then just before they kill him, he realized that one of them is a student that he used to have that became not religious 10 years ago. When he saw his own rabbi, he said, Rabbi, Rabbi, don't worry, I'm gonna convince them not to kill you. And, you know, through this conversation, he started to wake up and say, Rabbi, Please show me how I can fix my mistakes and my sins, that I should do teshuvah, repent, and I should really— Hashem will forgive me because I murdered people. I robbed them, I murdered them. I'm a murderer. So the Or HaChaim HaKadosh told him, buy a big snake, feed him for 7 years. Give him every day rats, you know, it's expensive to feed a snake every day, to buy food, throw it into his cage. After 7 years, open the cage or the aquarium, whatever you call it, and let him bite you. And after he will kill you, this poison snake, that's gonna be your repentance. Measure for measure. That's what you did to your parents, that's what the snake will do to you. Your parents fed you and took care of you and raised you and put you in yeshiva by me, and after all of that, you stabbed them in the back and became a murderer, right? That's not what your parents raised you to be. They didn't put their life into you to go murder people and steal what they had. So you are ungrateful. The snakes are the same. You're gonna raise them 7 years, feed them. As soon as you release him from the cage, he's gonna kill you. Once it's gonna happen, that's gonna be your correction. And that's what happened. This student did it. He got a snake. He fed him for 7 years. Exactly 7 years later, he released him. Immediately the snake came attacked him, beat him, and killed him. 7 years after this incident, the Ohr HaChaim HaKadosh forgot about his student already. It was 7 years ago in the island. He came to him in his dream and he said to him, thank you for the advice you gave me. This after, of course, I repented and I became religious again. This advice that you gave me with the snake saved me from hell and from all other punishments. Why? "Mida ke'neged mida." What I did to my parents, the snake did to me. I took care of him and what did he do in return? After 7 years I was so devoted to him, immediately when he had a chance he killed me. Same thing I did to my parents and that's what people do. People do it to their parents, people do it to the rabbi, people do it, you know, to people, to other people that they owe them a lot. There's not enough gratefulness in the world. So, Rabotai, we should understand now, the way the world is, it's very unclear what's gonna happen. Nobody really knows. Nobody can pretend and claim that he knows what's gonna happen exactly. Maybe there's not gonna be a war. Maybe in the end they're gonna some kind find a solution and they're not gonna start a war. Maybe there's gonna be just few days, a few attacks, bombing, this and that, and right away it's gonna stop. Maybe it's gonna turn to a massive war with 100,000 dead and thousands of refugees running to other countries, make a big mess in Europe. Maybe it's gonna become a Third World War. Even though United States is no power anymore, zero power, that's it. United States is bankrupt. The army of United States is worthless. The politicians in United States are all wicked Democrats, leftists, brainless. None of them has any brain, just like the one in Israel. I don't know which one is worse, Sleepy Joe, Bennett, I leave it to you to decide. You understand? I said, when I was now in a kibbutz, one of the people told me, you know, you really offended him. I said, why I offended him? He said, I showed him your video, you spoke about him. So he didn't care that you called him a traitor, because everybody here called him a traitor. Everybody on the street, people scream at him, "Boguett, Boguett," because he's a traitor. He betrayed all his voters. Everybody was a righty. And he went with the Arabs, the enemies of Israel. Who would do such thing? Who would do such thing? Imagine you go, you vote for Orthodox, very holy rabbi, right-wing, strong, fanatic, and then he turns the shul into a gay club. That's really what he did, more or less. Would you ever forgive someone like that? He's finished. That's it. Nobody wants to have a look at him, and 100% they're right. Somebody comes, vote for me, I'm gonna turn the shul into a holy place, and he turned it to Sodom and Gomorrah. You don't want to look at someone like that. That's it. It's over. Fine. Everybody understands that. So what's offended him? And I say, in a normal country, you take someone that is a traitor and you hang him. But I don't suggest to do such a thing to him. I suggest to take him and put him in a kindergarten with the 3-year-old kids, give him a lollipop, and let him play in the sand with the children because that's where he belongs. So that part offended him. That I called him a traitor, he doesn't care. That I insulted his ego, he cares. You understand what's going on? Lucky he didn't send to arrest me before I left Israel. You never know anymore with this what's happening there. Shemirachem. Anyway, Rabotai, now in our generation we need more Emunah than ever before. You should know that, than ever before. I'm gonna give you a few examples when we talk about Emunah, a few very important examples about some of it from the Parasha that we read yesterday, some of it in general. We look at Moshe Rabbeinu. Hashem wanted him to go and take the Jewish nation out of Egypt. He was 80 years old. At that time, his father Aaron was 83. Moshe said to Hashem, if I'm gonna go, my brother Aaron is going to be offended. He's older. He should be the messenger. Why me? Especially when I'm stuttering. Why should you use me? Use him. And Hashem said to Moshe, no, not only he won't get upset, actually he will be happy in his heart. Happy from the outside, everybody can pretend he's happy. Hi, how are you? This fake smile. Like the goyim that sees you in the elevator. Hi, how you doing? A second later, they don't even know who you are. They don't remember the story. They really care how you're doing? No, it's all fake. Hypocrisy. Fake smiles. So Hashem said to Moshe, not only he's gonna be polite and smile and say, wow, Mazal Tov, brother, I'm so happy for you, and his heart is gonna go on fire from jealousy. No, Hashem said, your brother Aaron is an exceptional, such a tzaddik with such a pure heart. I am telling you that he will be happy in his heart for you, even though he's all dead. What was his reward? His reward was that Hashem put the Choshen on his heart with the 12 precious stones, one for each tribe. Each stone today would cost many, many millions. Many, many millions. You know the size of them? You know, ruby size 20, 30 carats, you know how much it would be? Or sapphire or diamonds. Every stone over there was big, not a tiny little thing. I want 3 carats for my wedding. It's a joke. It's to be big on his chest. Why on his chest? The Choshen cannot be on the chest on a jealous person. Has no Emunah in Hashem. Jealousy comes from lack of Emunah. You don't think that God knows what He's doing. That's why you're jealous with the neighbor and you're jealous with your brother and you're jealous with this and you're jealous with that. Stupid. What's to be jealous? Everybody Hashem designed his test. Some has to be rich, some has to be poor, some has to be average. Some are smart, some are stupid. Everyone with what Hashem prepared for him. Some things you can improve. Some things you cannot improve. If you're very short, can you make yourself tall? No. If you're very tall, can you make yourself short? No. If you're a man, can you make yourself a woman? Usually not. I can't say that anymore. In America, there are millions like this. And you pay for that, by the way. Why? You pay taxes. Taxes go to the United States Army. And they all found a way. When they joined the army, Hussein Obama passed a law that the army is gonna pay for their surgery, $300,000, courtesy of the Jews of Great Neck. That's what's going on. Same thing in Monsey. We all pay school tax to all the schools around. Not one religious Jewish kid goes to public school. We pay for all the goyim. They have computers, they have nice baseball field, they have security, they have a lot of nice things thanks to the kindness of us. We're here to serve the goyim. It should have been the other way around. Why Hashem punish us like that? When Hashem is happy from you, it's written, melech et tzadikim naset bideacherim. When you are righteous, other people serve you. When you are wicked, you become a servant of others. I'll give you an example. When I was a kid, 1 out of 1,000 people in Israel had a dog. Not even. It was very rare to find a dog. You know what it is? What an excitement kids had when they saw someone has a dog. Now in Israel, you have more dogs than people. Try to walk in the street of Tel Aviv, see what's happening. Every person is with a dog or two. Rehovot, same story. Everywhere you go, besides the ultra-Orthodox religious neighborhood, every place you go, all you see are dogs and their waste on the street. Can't walk. Why is it? 40 years ago, we were not so wicked. So we didn't have a punishment that we have to serve a dog. Now everyone is so wicked that almost everyone became a servant of a dog, but they don't see it. They look at the dog as the happiest thing in their life, the greatest gift. They'll die for the dog. I'll tell you a story. In Israel, you know, in the airport Israel has one major airport. We all get there. Ben Gurion Airport, named after the communist first Prime Minister of Israel, David Ben Gurion. So, there are the people who work there in freight, shipping all the suitcases. There is a whole city under. What you see is nothing. The real airport is under the ground. I was there. Baruch Hashem, I have a lot of my students are in the security of the airport. There are hidden detectives over there. You sit next to them in cafeteria, you know, you go downstairs, every suitcase is MRI'd. And some of them are dangerous, so they separate them to a special department. You have to see how sophisticated it is. Every word that people speak in the terminal They can increase the value. The camera automatically look for suspicious people. People that have a lot of cash on them. People that have drugs on them. Unbelievable equipment. And if you have helium batteries, it separates it as another MRI. More, more like sophisticated. And it sometimes can even get to a place that they actually open your suitcase. They put a note inside. So, you know, this is the whole city under the ground over there. So sometimes people fly to Israel and they take with them a dog. So there was a case like this that an airplane arrived to Israel and the people that work in the suitcases department, they see a cage with a dead dog. They went crazy. They said, "What? We put the dog in minus 50 degrees." Where they put the suitcases is very cold. But there is a place when they have for pets that it's not so cold, that they won't die. So they thought they made a mistake. Instead of putting the pet in a warm department, they put him where the suitcase is. And they caused the death of an American fancy lady. I don't have to tell you what a lawsuit it's gonna be against El Al. So the Israelis, I don't have to tell you their shticks and their ideas are very unique. They said, "What are we gonna do now? We're all gonna get fired." One of them, one of the genius Israelis said, "You know what? I have an idea." That's the idea. There is a dog right here in the airport, always walking by the fence. I promise you, it looks exactly like this dog. Let's put that dog in a cage and get rid of the body of this dog. So when they got the dog, they actually saw that they both look alike, but the dead dog has some kind of a beauty mark. Something on his cheek. They said, "Don't worry, let's get a marker." They made him a little mark. They actually put makeup on that dog. It looks exactly the same. They put the living dog in the cage and they send it out. The fancy lady showed up. She looked at the cage. She started to scream, "That's not my dog!" That's not my dog, man, calm down, that's your dog. I'm telling you it's not my dog. What do you want from us? This is what we got from New York. Go to New York and find out, they made a mistake, maybe they sent a different dog. After screaming, she said, I'm telling you that's not my dog, my dog was dead. What? Yeah, I brought him to make him a funeral here. I want to bury him in holy land. Where is the body of the dead dog? In the bushes. Go, you fool, go get the dead dog. Some dogs have better funerals than people, especially if they're owned by Reform Jews. They also had a Bar Mitzvah. Bark Mitzvah. I don't know if you saw it on YouTube. They bite fillin, they put it on the head of the dog, and they make a party. Mazel tov! That's what's going on. Anyway, so Moshe Rabbeinu, Hashem told him, Aaron is gonna be very happy. He's gonna be very happy. No? And then what? Before Moshe was born, there was obviously a big miracle. They had to hide him in a little ark. They put him in a Nile. I don't have to tell you how dangerous it is. There are winds. Where is he gonna end? Maybe there's gonna be waves. He can flip over. Who knows what can happen? Big risk. His sister said before he was born, Sister Miriam was a prophet. She said, you know, the savior of the Jewish nation is about to be born. That's what the Gemara says in Maseret Megillah. So, you know, also the advisor of Pharaoh, the stargazers, those who read in the stars, they told him. So, you know, the story started to throw every baby that was born thrown into the Nile. And Hashem said, oh yeah, you want to get rid of the savior of the Jewish nation? Not only you won't get rid of him, your own daughter will save him. And Batya went and she found Moshe and she pulled Moshe and saved him and brought him into the house of Pharaoh and Pharaoh raised him. What you want to do against Hashem can never succeed. So Pharaoh raised him, not knowing that's the one who will actually bring to your end. The question is, who gave Moshe the name Moshe? The Goyah, the Batya. What was his real name? Yekutiel. Yekutiel. That was his name. His father, Amram, was the biggest tzaddik in the world. One of 4 tzadikim who never committed one sin in their entire life. In history, we only had 4 like that. Amram, Ishai the father of David HaMelech, Kilav the son of David HaMelech, and Binyamin the son of Yaakov Avinu. 4 people never committed one sin in their entire life. Who can say, who can raise his hand and say he had one day in his life without a sin. One day. Who can raise his hand and say that he had one hour in his life without a sin? I'm not talking when he sleeps. When we sleep, we also dig in. You know, like my mother used to say when people say, "Ah, Yossi Léman, he's such a good boy," and my mother said, "Yeah, especially when he sleeps." When you are up, can you have one hour without jealousy? One hour without lashon hara, without gossip, without thoughts of kifira, without reading dirty politician magazines, New York Times, all these lefties, without watching television, without listening to the fake news, without having lack of emunah, without holiness. Without learning Torah, so many problems. To have an hour without a sin, it's already a huge achievement in this generation. Very big, very big achievement. Abraham never committed a sin. He called Moshe Yekutiel. Why we left the name Yekutiel and we followed the name Moshe after the name the Goyah gave him? What kind of a respect is that? If your father is the chief rabbi, a hakham of Adi Yosef, and he call you a name, and the maid, the maid, the Arab goyah, she decided to call you a nickname, will we leave your father's name and call you by the name of the goyah? Makes sense? Why we call him Moshe? Because she pulled him from the water. Mishitiu means to pull something from the water out. If that's the case, his name should have been Mashui, not Moshe. The proper Hebrew has to be Mashui. Mashui means something that you pull out of the water or someone. Not Moshe. Mashui. Moshe means that someone that pulls other things from the water. That's the real secret. Why we call him Moshe? Because that's his purpose in life. What does he do? Get the Jewish nation out of trouble. The best lawyer we ever had. Thanks to him we survived. Thanks to him we are alive. When Hashem told him, leave me alone, let me kill all of them, wipe them out, all these ungrateful people. And I'm going to restart the nation from you. Forget what happened until now. They don't deserve to live. Look at them dancing around the golden calf after what I've done for them, after all the miracles of Egypt, opening the Red Sea, saving them from the Egyptians, giving them Torah, coming on a mountain and speaking to them. And what do they do in return? Dancing around a piece of gold. You want me to keep them alive? I'm not interested. Let me wipe them out and we'll start a new world. We did it already 900 years ago. We wiped out all the people in the world in a flood and started a new world from Noah. We'll do it again. And no nation of Israel, not the children of Yaakov, the children of Moshe only, start a new world. Moshe, He could have said, you know what, you're right. This kind of ungrateful people, they don't deserve to live. They don't deserve to stay with the Torah. I'm with you 100%. What did he do in return? He was a faithful lawyer. Lawyer tried to defend his client no matter what. Moshe said to Hashem, if you want to erase them, erase me from your book. Don't put my name in the Torah. And what happened? This parasha, V'atat Tetzaveh, his name does not appear in the Torah. That's the only parasha you don't have the name Moshe. You don't have it. Also in Hagaddah of Pesach, you don't have it. Why? Because he said to Hashem, oh yeah, you want to erase them? Erase me first. Erase you? I will erase you. I can't erase you from the whole Torah because there's no Torah without you. You appear in every page in the Torah. But there will be one chapter I will not mention your name. Which one? The one who falls on your date of birth and your date of death. Was born in Tzion Be'Adar and died in Tzion Be'Adar. That's Moshe. Lived 120 years full. 20 years exactly, not a day more, not a day less. So the question now about time, we say, Moshe said to Hashem, Ribbonosh Elohim, Master of Universe, ana? What's ana? Please. Chata amaze chata adidola. This nation. Mase amaze. Who is the am? Aamaze. Every time we say the am without saying Israel. What do you call it? Huh? Wow. It's harder than all this here. What happened? The heat is 95? Baruch Hashem. So, what's the— what does it mean, Am? Every time you say Am, it means— every time you say Am, it means the Erev Rav, the Egyptians. The Erev Rav. They made a big sin. What? Vayatzulaym Eloisa. They made themselves a god of gold. When Hashem has to perform a miracle for an individual, for himself, before Hashem performs a miracle to Yosef, Yitzchak, Moshe, Miriam, whatever, the Satan immediately objects. The Satan is the persecutor, the head persecutor. If the judge wants to give you a break, who jumps immediately and objects? The prosecutor. That's his job. Satan is a prosecutor. He brings all our negative in front of Hashem and demands a punishment. Demands that Hashem will give us what we deserve. So when Hashem wants to perform a miracle to a person, of course, Satan immediately makes a trek and he finds reasons why we don't deserve the miracle. However, when the miracle is for group of people, 1,000, 10,000, 100,000, million, a whole nation, the Satan does not have the same power to be Mekatreh. I once gave an example, when you go to Canada with your own car or you go on a bus. It's not the same. If you go with your car alone and you want to cross the border there with your car, they tell you step out of the car, they go in, they push the red light, they open your bags, they open your trunk. They may even bring dogs to smell something fishy there. Sometimes they even pull you over. Go over there, wait over there. You have to wait 45 minutes. That they check every little thing in your car. Hamash. Intimidating. When you come with the bus, you have 100 people on the bus, they collect all the passports, they give it to the guy, probably like this, tac tac tac tac tac, goodbye. He doesn't push his head under the bus, start taking suitcases out. Everyone goes smote, one shot. Why is it? As a group. Same thing in minyan. When you pray alone, the Satan immediately objects to your request. You ask for parnassah, the Satan says, "Does he deserve parnassah?" You ask for help, the Satan immediately says, "Does he deserve help?" No. But when you come to the shul and you pray with everyone together, The Satan cannot object something that comes as a unit. That's a big secret. And that's what Moshe said, "Im pisach hatotam," if you carry their sin and forgive it, fine. If not, delete me please, erase me please from your own book. In the book of Icheskel, One of the best prophets we have. Where did he live, Yechezkel? Bavel, Iraq, on the other side of the Iranian border. How do we call the Talmud? Talmud Baveli. Why? Because it was in Bavel. Bavel, it's Iraq. But not that many people knows that some of the Chachamim, you read in the In the Gemara about, they were Persian. They were on the other side of the border. They were actually from Paras, Persia. So not everyone who's mentioned in the Talmud actually lived on Bavel. Some was on the other side. So it should have been Baveli Parsi, but they call it Bavelto. So, I cheskel, that's why the Iraqis A lot of them named Heskel. That's a very common Iraqi name. A lot of Iraqis, their name is Heskel. Why? Because Heskel was from Iraq. And the prophet Heskel, this is what he says in the book of Heskel chapter 20. Moshe refused to go, right? Because he was afraid that Aaron would be offended. And Hashem said to him, don't worry about it. It's only gonna benefit Aaron. Thanks to him being happy, he's gonna get the Ohrim and Tumim and special Kehuna clothing. Unbelievable, 8 garments, the nicest you can find. Gold, beautiful, amazing. Nobody dressed like him. He was not a king, right? Vaya lev Aharon, it's written. The Sabbah Mikhele, one of the biggest tzaddikim of Musar, more than 100 years ago, he said, I don't understand why we are so impressed from Aharon. The Jewish nation is about to be destroyed. They are in Egypt. They already reached the lowest level of impurity, Mem, Tetch, Areth, Umah, 49 gates of impurity. Another week or two in Egypt, they will all be destroyed. It's the biggest pikua chnefesh, an emergency. That's what a holy person like Aaron has to be worried about if he is going to be the savior of his brother? We have time for politics now? Politics among people today in Congress, in Israeli Knesset, we understand who we're dealing with. They care less, they can care less about the government. Nobody cares about Israel from the politicians. They're not even trying to deny it. First day when they get elected, they fire all the people, even the best ones. Even ones that in survey got 100 in their performance, they fire them immediately and bring their own friends to take over the office. Why? They care about Israel? Of course not. They only care who is with me, who is going to be faithful to me. Nobody cares about what's going to happen to the country. They don't really care about the country. But Aaron? Aaron doesn't care about the nation of Israel? Such a tzaddik? So why are we so impressed? Why are we so impressed? That's the Saba Mikhael's question. Jews are suffering, they beat them up, they kill their babies, they torture them in slavery, and Aaron will have the time to be offended? Why not me? Why him? I'm sorry, I object. Makes sense? For me, Rabotai, Sava Mikhelem say that not one human being is dismissed from his personal ego and his own calculation about what's in it for me. The most righteous person, there is still a chance that his personal agenda will be involved in what's gonna be. If we worry about Aaron that he may do this calculation and because he did not, we are so impressed, that means every righteous person ever lived, there is always a chance that when he makes a decision, it's something personal involved. You know, the— in a Bedin, when they have to decide if to make a leap year— today we have a calendar, so we know it in advance, but in the old days they used to do it manually. They see now it's soon Purim and it's still cold. Pesach is going to be cold, it's going to fall around March. So they sit in a Bedin and me'abrim metashana, they decide to add one more month in the last minute. Now it's supposed to be Purim in a week. They said, no, we are adding one more month into the calendar. It's going to be Adar Aleph and then Adar Beit. That's when we're going to celebrate Purim. We push another month into the calendar. What happened if you put a Kohenim, you put Kohen in a Bedouin? It's not gonna be good. Why? Because he cannot be objective. Why? He wants to postpone as much as possible. Why? Because they walk barefoot in the Beit HaMikdash and their feet may freeze. So already they're not seeing the picture in the objective way. You believe such thing? Why? Because in the subconscious, everyone thinks first, what's in it for me? What's in it for me? And we all, of course, we give unbelievable excuses why we did what we did. But the reality is that we actually did it without even realizing because of personal personal calculation and personal agenda. You know, there is a Midrash is talking about on the pasuk of the clothes of the Kohen that has to be perfect. You have to do it in a perfect way. Okay, there's halachot how to do it though. This Midrash, Rabbi Oshoan, Rabbi Eliezer, they walked one night before Erev Yom Kippur. Tomorrow night, Yom Kippur. So tonight they went on the way to Beit HaMikdash. On the way, an angel came holding a special white, unbelievable garment, the nicest you can imagine, shine like the sun, big bright light comes out of it. But the edge, the frame of this outfit, right? It's missing. All around this special outfit, you should have a special frame and it's missing. You know, around from all the way the body, on the sleeves. It's missing. It means it's not perfect. They asked this angel, "What is this for?" He said, "This is for Yosef HaGanan." Yosef the gardener. And showed them an image of a Jew. He's a gardener. Not a rabbi. Not a Dayan. A gardener. He has a little garden in his backyard. Raise cucumbers, raise spinach, grow, grow spinach, grow carrots, you know. That's what he does. They say, yeah, that's for him. Has to be somebody unbelievable. Let's go and check. How can a gardener have such a thing waiting for him for the next world? And at the same time, why it's not perfect? Something is missing. Let's go and investigate. They came to the town, everybody came in Yerushalayim to the Tuch HaChamin. Come to our house, come to our house. They said, no, no, we want to go to Yosef the gardener. Where is he? Right there. Why him? Poor man. Come to our house, we have a nice room for you rabbis. No, no, no, take me to Yosef HaGanan. They came to his house. Of course, he took care of them, him and his wife. They asked him, "Tell us, what is the specialty about you? We see that you're a religious Jew, but we saw in Shamayim that you're somebody very important. Can you tell us what you do?" He said, I used to be a very rich man. My father left me a lot of money. I was learning Torah. I didn't care so much about the money. So slowly, slowly, I lost all my assets and I left with nothing. And the people that used to work for me, they lost their jobs. So all of them got very angry at me. So they started to hate me. So everyone in town hated me because I neglected the wealth. Because I was busy with Torah, I didn't care about the money. So I had to move out of town because I saw a lot of people are angry at me. So I came to this town, I planted this garden in my backyard. Whatever I grow here, half of it I use for myself, half of it I give to the poor people, tzedakah. That's what I do. They say to him, you know, you should know you have to make a little bit more effort to get your Olam Haba, the next world, to be perfect. Why? Because your special, special alphabet is incomplete. By the way, his wife said, "Yosef, sell me to be a maid. Sell me. I'm gonna be a maid by some rich people. I'm gonna work for them." 'With the money that you get from me, give it all to the people that learn Torah, and that's gonna make your outfit perfect. Hopefully mine as well.' 'No, how can I do it?' 'No, no, please, I'm begging you. It's my choice. Do it.' 'No, but I know what's gonna happen. I'm gonna sell you to some rich man. He's gonna start touching you.' I don't want it. No, no, I swear to you, no man will ever touch me. I give you my word. Very strong about modesty. It will never happen. Just do it. Okay, he sold her. He got money. Everybody who tried to come offer, there are all kinds of offers, stay away from me, stay away from me, stay away from me. Nobody. One time he started to feel jealous. "What have I done? Let me go and test to see if she's really faithful as she said or not." He put a costume, nobody can recognize him, put a Corona mask on his face and showed up over there. And, you know, it was waited that it's gonna get dark. There was no electric back then. She didn't recognize who it is. Gave her all kinds of offers. Stay away from me. I can't, I can't, I can't, I can't. He realized that she kept her promise. So after that, one time he gets in his dream, he sees outfit is complete, perfect. Maharaj beautiful beautiful, shining, nice, frame of it, everything. In his dream, his father comes to him. His father that gave him all the wealth. He said, there is one more treasure I hid and I died before I had the chance to tell you where it is. But now when you became such a big perfect tzaddik, I got permission to tell you where it is. Go to that place, dig in the ground, and you'll find the treasure. He went over there, he found the treasure, quickly ran, he bought his wife back, paid the money, released her, and that was the end of the story. That's a Midrash, something gonna happen. That reminds me of one time when I went to my uncle in Yerushalayim. We were walking up from the Bukharian neighborhood to Rabbi Kadour's yeshiva. You know, Shulnata Bucharin? Very, very high hill, very hard to walk, especially if you're an older person, difficult. It's mamash high hill, the yeshiva of the Mekubalim. I walk with my uncle who couldn't breathe, every 10 steps he had to lean on the wall and breathe. I already realized that his condition is not good. I told him, Uri, You have to go immediately to the doctor. It's not normal. I mean, yeah, it's hard to walk up the hill, but you barely breathe. Two weeks later, he passed. I already saw it coming. I actually told his wife on the way back. But one thing happened from that day. When we walked up, he showed me on the right side, they built a huge yeshiva over there. Huge. I said, wow, what a place. Place is gonna be over here. He told me, you didn't hear the story of this place? I said no. He said they raised enough money to buy the lot. So they bought the lot, but they don't have money to build. So they started to raise money to build, barely $10,000 there. Not enough just to get the tractor to start digging the hole. It's gonna be more than $10,000. They asked some big rabbi there, what should we do? He said to them, listen, we have emunah in Hashem, yes or no? So what, right now we have enough to start digging? Start digging. When we run out of money, we'll start screaming to Hashem to send more money. Does Hashem have any shortage of money? So go and continue. We have to make every effort that we can. More than that is not in our hand. We get stuck, that's what Hashem wanted. We will be able to finish, that's what Hashem wanted. What do we have to do? To make an effort and to pray, to beg. That's it. What's going to happen, it's not in our hand. That's what the rabbi told them, and that's Jewish ideology, Jewish Ashkafah. They started to dig and they found a big box from the time of the Ottoman Empire, hundreds of years old. They opened the box, millions of dollars treasure, diamonds, gold, silver, all antique coins. Enough to build the entire building. Unbelievable story. Inside the ground in Yerushalayim. That's where they were, the Turks, the Ottomans. That's exactly where they used to be. A big box of treasure and they built the entire place. If they would go to someone with no emunah, they would say, "Don't call the tractor until you raise another million dollars." You don't have enough, what are you gonna do? Who knows if they ever raise? I know places that got stuck for years. The Gemara says there was a Ba'al, a big Amoatzadik, he used to give a speech in a in yeshiva, and there was somebody translate his words to the audience. He says sentence, two, few sentences, and you stop, and he says few things. One time, the wife of Aba'u, she went to the market, and she find the wife of the interpreter. The wife of the interpreter runs to her And she said, "Don't think that my husband really translates your husband's words of Torah. You know that he gives his own speech. It's not really what your husband said. He upgrades the speech." That's what she said to me. She said, "What do you mean? He keeps stopping to listen to my husband." And then he continued, "What do you mean?" She said, "No, don't be a fool. That just shows you not only my husband is greater than your husband, he's even very humble. He pretends that he gets the speech from your husband, but he doesn't. He gives his own speech. Don't you see how everyone is happy in the yeshiva?" She came home to her husband fuming. "You have to fire the interpreter! To have such a nerve, chutzpah, to fume like this!" He said, "Why? What happened?" "I met his wife and she said that he doesn't even translate your speech. He gives a different speech. And she said that he's only acting like he is getting the speech from you because he's Humble, can you believe it? So he said to her, why are you so upset? He gives good speech apparently. Everybody is inspired. So why are you so upset? Hashem is happy. He gives a good shiur and everyone is happy. Why should we be upset? That's why the Gemara brings this story. To tell you stories. Every story in the Gemara is a lesson for life. Lesson for life. This story comes to teach one main thing, that in life Hashem always has to come before you. When you have to make a decision, what would Hashem want me to do? Not what I want to do. Not what my ego wants to do, not what my wife wants me to do, not what my family wants me to do, not what my parents want me to do. What does Hashem want me to do? Does He want me to make a wedding mixed dancing? Absolutely not. But my parents want it, all the 500 guests want it, they want to bring a Persian band. Directly from Los Angeles, right? Some Muslim singers, they're gonna dance, and all the Jewish girls gonna dance in front of these Muslims on the stage. My parents will be delighted. There will be such a beautiful video, and Hashem will be fuming, and the blessing of this couple will be destroyed for life. And it happens thousands of times every stupidity. You want to do a show for 2-3 hours and you suffer 4 years after that. Guaranteed. Guaranteed. Not maybe yes, maybe not. Guaranteed. It takes away all the blessing in the house, in the marriage, with the children, everything. Why? Because Hashem has a rule: what does not start with holiness cannot be fixed. That's it. What do we say? Magid acharit mireshit. You want to know how the end is going to be? Check how the beginning was. Check who built the building. Check what money was used. Check everything. If you see kids go to the best yeshivot and in the end nothing comes out of it, go check their parents' money. Could be all stolen money. Stealing from the government, stealing from Medicaid, stealing from the insurance, stealing from the customers, stealing from the goyim. A lot of stealing. Don't be surprised why every one of the kids became a drug addict and he doesn't want to look at religion and one became gay and the other one like this. Why? All the tuition you pay for the yeshiva is not your money, it's all stolen. Never gonna be blessing in this kind of learning. Plus, oh, you're multimillionaire and you're cheap, you're stingy. You don't want to pay the yeshiva money. You play pool, you drive your Bentley and Mercedes, and another millions of dollars goes to your accounts. And when you have to pay $20,000 a year for the boy, that the, you know, the yeshiva will survive, you pretend that you put and you pay them much less, and there's no blessing because you're a liar, you're a crook. The yeshiva is designed that poor people will pay less scholarship and rich people will pay full tuition. You argue about the tuition, you argue about the price of the tefillin that you buy, you argue about the mezuzot, but you don't argue when you buy your Mercedes. You want all the extras, 5,000 extra, 3,000 extra, 2,000 extra, special wheels, another 5,000. When that, you don't argue with the German Nazi from Berlin that sold you this Mercedes or made it. Whatever they want on the price, you pay, right? But when it comes to things of kedusha, you fight to the end. And plus you have big mouth. Why so expensive? Defensive, why this, why that. That's very sad. So, Avotai, he said to his wife, I don't understand why you're upset. Hashem is happy. I'm happy. If Hashem is happy and the students are, you know, learning Torah and he gives a better speech than mine, why not? Why do I care? I came to get attention. That people will tap on my shoulder, "What a great speaker you are!" No! I want the people to be inspired. Doesn't make a difference if it's me or them. Something like this happened with the Magid Miduvna 200 years ago. He was in the same generation of the Gaon of Vilna. Now remember, in those days nobody knew how the big rabbis looked. You didn't have Google. Today, everywhere you go, everyone recognizes you. Why? Everyone has Google, wants to know how the speaker on the CD and how does he look? They put the name and they get the pictures. You don't have to go and check where he lives. Tell me where this Chacham is, I want to see his face. No, you just Google it a second, you see it. 200 years ago, you didn't have that. So nobody knew how the Chachamim look. They knew there's a Rabbi Shagatarier, there's Rabbi the Gaon of Vilna, another Rabbi, the Magid Miduvna, Nobody knows how they look besides their own students. One time the Maguid Midufna was walking from town to town and he stopped by a specific town and he saw a big sign on the wall, on Shabbat the Maguid Midufna will speak after Shacharit in a shul, in a big shul. He was very surprised, he said, I don't understand, I did not tell nobody. I don't know one person in this town that I'm gonna pass by this town. How do they know to put me here as a speaker on Shabbat? It cannot be. Unless someone here is Ruach HaKodesh, maybe someone has a prophecy here, but still, how come no one informed me that I'm supposed to speak on Shabbat? Let me go to the shul just in case. Maybe in the last minute They will remember to advise me, you know, Rabbi, you have to speak. So he sits by the crowd, by the audience, and they say, Rabbi Motai, the great legendary speaker, he was the best speaker in the world, the Makid Miduvna is about to give his Shabbat lecture. And he sees a faker. Someone else get on the stage, pretend to be him. Mishamayim Hashem send him that Shabbat to that town. He watched the guy, the faker, for an hour and a half he speaks. He didn't say a word. Then he said something, he got up. No, he said, excuse me, I'm sorry, but what you just said now, it's incorrect. What do you mean? That's what it says, that's what it says, it's written over here, it's written over there. No, he answered him, but it's this, but that. It started an argument. And he said to him, excuse me, don't you know you don't ask questions on a speaker? Especially in front of everyone, what do you come, you came to ruin my speech? Who do you think you are? He said to him, I am the Magid Miduvna. "Are you the Magid Midufna?" "No, my friend, I'm the Magid Midufna." "No, me, it's me, it's me, no." So he said to him, "Tell me if you are the Magid Midufna." Now everybody got confused. They see this guy knows what he's talking about and he claims to be the real Rabbi and this one. Who is the real one? So they say, "Wait a minute, it doesn't make sense. How was he quiet for an hour and a half and he let this show take place?" How is it? So they asked him, excuse me, you claim to be the real Dhamagid Miduvna, but we have one question to ask you. If that's the case, why were you silent for an hour and a half? Why almost when he finished, the last 5 minutes, you remember to get up? So he said, as long as he spoke great words of Torah, What do I care? Everybody gets inspired, everyone learns Torah. People think it's me, let it be. What do I care? I need people to kiss my hand here? Let them kiss his hand. But when he begins to say things that are incorrect in my name, that's already a problem. People are going to sit on the street and argue, "What did Rav Gindouf say?" They started to test them, they realized right away that this one is a faker. That's how they were. I don't care. I tell you a story. There used to be in Hungary a singer. His name was Joseph Schmid. You heard about him? Joseph Schmid. He was an unbelievable opera singer. The best in Europe. Great story. The only problem was that he was very, very short and very ugly. And it wasn't good for the stage, such a short man and ugly face like this, and especially Hasidish Jew. The goyim doesn't want to see this. So they say to him, listen, you stand in the back with the microphone. You will sing the entire show from the back of the curtain. And we're gonna get a tall, blond guy to pretend to be the singer. So he's gonna just go like this, but you're gonna be really the singer. And we're gonna pay you, but we cannot put you in the front the way you look. We had no choice, he need parnasah. So he was standing like this for months, singing, and this blond guy just pretending, going like this. Going like this. One time, you know, everyone in the end has his limit. This Joseph Schmidt, in the middle of the show, as he's singing and singing, all of a sudden he had it. And he started to scream, "That's it! I can't have it!" The plan goes, keep going like this. People here, where is this singer? Where is this conversation coming from? I can't have it. I do all the show and he steals all the fame. And that's when everybody found out that that's really not the singer. People started to vote against him. That's when they found out who was the real singer. Why? Because Joseph Schmid could not sing and let somebody else get the glory. Why? Ego. Ego. What do you care? You make money. They pay you good. What's better, you sit home unemployed? The one thing you know how to do is to sing. Go sing, they pay you. Let somebody else get the fame. No, he can't. Why? It's all about ego. So Rabotai, Rabbi Yaakov Galinsky, It was a very, very holy man, also one of the best speakers in the world, famous in the religious world. He was very, very short. 4-something his height was. I don't know, maybe 4'10", 4'8", but not short. He always made a joke, "By me, I never go to any building past the first floor." I only go to the first floor. They asked him why, you don't ever have business in the second, third, fifth floor? He said no, I cannot reach it in the elevator. I can only reach the first floor. That's how he was making jokes. But he was a brilliant Chacham and he had an unbelievable life. If you make a story about his life, it will be bestseller. He was in Siberia, he was in a holy koach, Unbelievable life here. How much he suffered and how Hashem kept saving him again and again. And in the end, all his children were all big chachamim, big holy, unbelievable. He had also 7 yeshivot. He came to America, collect money, sponsor 7 different yeshivot. So now he's writing, I was in Lakewood for Shabbat, Parashat Tetzaveh. Rav Shneur Kochler, the father of Rav Kochler now in Lakewood, he asked me, he said, Chazal say the me'il that the Kohen is wearing, the me'il, the coat, is mechapeir al lashon hara. It comes to repent for lashon hara. Why do people speak lashon hara? What's the source of lashon hara? The answer is jealousy. What's the source of jealousy? Why are you jealous? No Emunah. Everything in the end connects to Emunah, no matter how you look at it. Pride, lack of Emunah. Anger, lack of Emunah. Jealousy, lack of Emunah. Laziness, lack of Emunah. Why laziness, lack of Emunah? It's the nature of a lazy, wants to lay down all day. Why it's lack of Emunah? Anger, you understand why there's no Emunah, right? Why are you angry? It's all from Hashem. If Hashem wants you to have it, you'll have it. Why you get angry? Jealousy, we understand, right? Why it's lack of Emunah? Why laziness is also lack of Emunah? Who knows? I'll tell you why. I had a guy, Baruch Hashem, I made him religious. So he keeps Shabbat, he keeps a lot of things, he's kosher, tzitzit, kippah, but he cannot come to shacharit. He cannot come to shacharit in the morning, 7 o'clock yeshiva starts shacharit, he doesn't come. Why you don't come? I can't, I go to sleep at 2 AM, how am I gonna get up at 6:30? I'll be tired all day. So what do you do? I pray home. What time? 9 o'clock. Then I go and I go to work. Come on, it's not the same. 'Come to shul, no?' 'No, I can't, Rabbi, please, please, enough, it's too much for me.' 'Well, it's better than nothing. I pray at least at home, I put tefillin, I don't leave him alone.' 'Come, come, try a few times, come and see how it is, see the difference. You have Kaddish, you have Baruch Hu, you have Birkat Kohanim, you have Kiddushah, things that you don't have at home in your bedroom.' No matter what I say, he said, I can't. Then I say, I came to him one time, I said, listen, Reuven, I found you expensive. Ma? I was working all week like a dog making $400 a week. That was his salary many years ago, 20 years ago. I said to him, I found you a sponsor. Sponsor? Yeah. Every morning you come to shul and you walk in before 7 AM, you get $1,000 cash from me at the door. For 3 months until you get used to come to shacharit. He's willing to pay you every day $1,000 for coming to shul, but you must walk in before 7:00. 7:01, you lost today's money. He said, come on, no, no, enough with this story. Speak English to me, Rabbi, you're making fun of me, come on. I said to him, no, you come tomorrow morning, I'll wait for you by the door with 10 $100 bills. Don't believe me, but I'm not going to lie to you. I commit to you. I don't give you one time, Don't ever talk to me. I'm like, please, you know, I make $400 a week. Who's gonna give me $1,000? No, don't worry, he's a very rich man. It's nothing for him. To get the Jew to come to shul, to get used to it, he's willing to give you every day $1,000 until you get used to it. Are you serious? He said, absolutely. Come on, come on, I cannot believe. I said, yes. Okay. Yeah, I know. Let's check in him. It was like this. Lach mi po, nohel. Get out of here, you crook. He looked at me like this. His eyes came out. Ma? You lied to me? I said, no, you're the liar, not me. I begged you, come, come. What do you say? I can't, I can't. You kill me, I can't. I can't wake up at 6:00. I just can't. As soon as I told you you're gonna get $1,000, look at you like a lion. You would be there at 4:00. So you can't or you can? Of course you can. You just don't have emunah that Hashem is gonna pay you much more than $1,000. If you had emunah, You would have a doubt about it? Everything in the end is Emunah, everything. Emunah, Emunah, Emunah, no matter how you look at it. So Rav Korkler asked Rav Galinsky, what's the connection between the codes and Lashon Hara? We know when a person in the old days used to speak Lashon Hara, he used to get leprosy. Leprosy, first in the walls, then in his clothing, then in his body. I don't understand, I really don't understand. If you just got angry at someone and you spoke Lashon Hara, you come home, you look at the wall, all full of leprosy. You see, how would you continue to speak Lashon Hara? You already know it's gonna come to your suit soon. You know what? Let's say you don't care so much about the suit. Anyway, you want to throw it away. So you're still angry at that person. You spoke a little bit more lashon hara. It went to your clothing. But why don't you stop here? Now one more word of lashon hara, it's gonna come on your clothes, on your body. You're gonna have to be isolated one week in jail. Everyone will know they threw you out of the community. Then they shave all your hair, your eyebrows, everything. You have to bring a sacrifice after that. Big shame. Big shame. Just the one week you don't work. You have to leave your business now for a week. It's a disaster. What do you see from here? A person knows he's gonna die from Lashon Hara, but it's very hard for him to stop. Anger, jealousy, hatred, sinat chinam, politics, mainly jealousy. Mainly. Person knows. You know the story, Eliyahu HaNavi came to one person and he said, today is your lucky day. Today is your lucky day. What's your lucky day? Everything you want I'm giving you in one condition, that I give the neighbor that you hate so much double. Whatever you ask, I give you, but I give him double. He said, you know what, if that's the case, please poke one of my eyes. That you should take both of his eyes. Instead of focusing on what he should get, he's worried what the neighbor is going to get. So, Rabotai, the tzarat, the leprosy, comes for the Shon Hara. After he finished the week, he bring two birds to purify himself. Two birds. Why he has to bring two birds? Why after Lashon Hara and leprosy have to bring birds and not goat or a lamb? Why birds? Because birds whistle nonstop, talk nonstop. You can't stop them. That's to hint to you, that's who you are. You also talk too much, so you bring two birds. But the birds, I don't understand, the birds, yeah, they talk a lot, but they don't speak Lashon Hara. Did you ever see a bird speak Lashon Hara about another bird? The birds don't have jealousy. They don't have. So what's the connection? What we see from here, that the claim against Lashon Hara is not really about the bad words that you say about your friend. It's about talking too much. Talking too much for sure would lead you to Lashon Hara. So when you talk too much nonsense, For sure it's gonna be in the end something bad. People that talk too much, they speak Lashon Hara. People that are silent, they never speak Lashon Hara. You know these quiet people? They can sit 2 hours in a conversation without saying one word. I have a guy like this, my assistant in Israel. He goes with me to all the meetings, I meet people, long conversation, people, group, this. He sits for 2 hours, not one word. Sometimes I make a joke, I say, "Avishai, you spoke so much, I've had it from you." He still doesn't say, doesn't talk. Faithful, does his job, take care of the camera, take care of the car, take care of the books, the CD, everything needs to be taken care of, but doesn't talk. That's why you never hear a word of Lashon Hara from him. Why? He only talks the Vraie Torah when he's in a shul or in yeshiva. That's it. When you talk too much, it's gonna lead to Lashon Hara. Last thing before we finish, how do you reach Emunah? That's really the bottom line here. How do you reach Emunah? It's easy to talk, talk. We know, we all know we need Emunah. There's no Nothing here is new. Every religious person knows the more Emunah you have, the easier and better your life will be. You suffer less, you have less pain, agony, sadness, you don't have panic attack and anxiety attack, and you sleep well at night. Why? Because you have faith in Hashem, you trust Hashem. So the question is, how do you reach Emunah? David HaMelech answered us. The question. Everything in life you want to become, first step is to talk a lot about it. That's what David Hamelech said, "Ehemandi ki adaber." You know why I am such a great believer? Because all day I speak about Hashem. Hashem did this, Hashem does this, Hashem is great, Hashem is here, Hashem is there, Hashem is everywhere. Even when I meet the kings, they all talk about wars, taxes, borders. But we go to the United Nations. When they say, okay, David, the King of Israel, it's your turn now. What do you have to say? I give them from Torah. It's written in Tehillim. David said to Hashem, you know me, all I speak is only the V'rei Torah and Emunah. Even when I meet with the kings, I'm not embarrassed. They speak about everything, I speak about you. That's the whole meeting. They know David come not to talk about taxes and army and borders. He came to talk about God and how great He is and how much we owe Him and how grateful we have to be. And what he loves and what he hates. Many of us, Rabotai, are not feeling well. Every minute I get a message, pray for this, he's sick, pray for that, a kid, a kid in Brooklyn, I think, just got hit, it's in critical condition. Non-stop problems, accident problems, sicknesses, besides Corona, regular usual diseases, problems. The real medication, the real medicine of a person is begging Hashem for mercy. Yes, you need sometimes a surgery, you need medicine, you need a lot of things, you need vitamins, you need— nobody denies it. You need a doctor, the doctor may tell you what your problem is, he may perform an operation, fine, we know that you have to make an effort. But the best, best remedy is first to beg Hashem. "Arefua amitid iz bakashat rachami." Please Hashem, don't say why are you doing it to me? Why me? It's not fair. Why I got it? There are worse people than me. That's not the right approach. The right approach is, I'm so sorry, I'm begging you for mercy. I know whatever you gave me I deserve, maybe even worse than that, but I'm not coming to claim that I don't deserve it. I deserve it, but I ask for mercy. Why? Hashem is the real doctor. So you have to beg Hashem for mercy. Once you beg Hashem for mercy, Hashem's response will be sometimes He will take away the sickness without even going to a doctor. It's just gonna go away. Sometimes He will send you to the right doctor. If He doesn't have mercy on you, He will send you to Ali, the doctor from Pakistan. He didn't even go to school. He was in Al-Qaeda and they decided to make him a doctor. He's gonna make some experiments on you. Why you ended up by him? You found him in the newspaper. Why? Because Hashem didn't have mercy on you. He wants you to die, so he sends you to him. If he wants you to live because you beg for mercy, he sends you to a good doctor that cares. That will call you after, check with you how you feel. He will answer your messages. Most doctors don't answer. Most doctors don't go home and think about the patients, how much suffering they have at home now. They only care about how much money they made, and that's it. They look at the patients as numbers. It's like, like a used car salesman. Sell a car, made money, that's it. Car dealer. They see people scream in hospital, they don't care. They got used to it. Why? That's the way we are. We get used to things. We get used to things. And Hashem said, don't get used to people suffering. You don't have permission to get used to it. That's why it's written that most doctors, Hashem Yirachem, Two reasons. One is they don't care about the customers, their patients' suffering. And second, because they think they are God. Thanks to me, you are alive. Thanks to me. Thanks to my education. Thanks to my brilliance. Thanks to, thanks to, thanks to. That's the way they think. And something like this Hashem doesn't like. So first, smart person pray every day to Hashem before he becomes sick. I'm sick, please keep me healthy. Much easier to ask Hashem to keep you healthy than to remove a sickness. Because once the sickness was announced by the doctor after an MRI that you have it, now you need a clear miracle. For clear miracle, you need a huge merit, and not everybody has it. Now you're gonna need the bachurim in yeshiva to pray for you all month from morning to night. Cost you a lot of money. You're gonna have to run to all kinds of holy rabbis to pray, to beg for you. If you beg every day to Hashem to save you from sickness before it entered the body, it's much easier. Once it was already announced, it's much, much harder to fix. Also, When you pray, the more you pray, the better your situation will be, even if you don't see it. Who do we learn it from? Moshe Rabbeinu. Moshe Rabbeinu prayed 515 times to enter Israel, and looked like Hashem doesn't accept his prayer. He prayed and prayed and prayed. And Moshe Rabbeinu, not us, every one of his prayers was shaking the heavens. Once he reached 515 gematria by Chanan, Hashem had to stop his prayers. Enough! Don't continue to request. Alto sef davere leik ba davara ze. Don't continue. Why? One more prayer and Hashem would be forced to break the decree and let him enter Israel. So he had to actually stop his prayers. What's the problem? Hashem could have said to him, pray as much as you want. I'm already telling you it won't help. I made up my mind. That's it. Continue to pray. What do I care? I'll give you a reward for the praying. But it won't change my opinion. But what happened? Hashem didn't say that. Hashem had to stop him from praying at all because one more prayer will turn everything around. So what do we see from here? That what you think that Hashem is not listening to you already 2, 3, 4 years you're praying for something, you can't find your soulmate, you can't find parnassah, You can't find a job, you have all kinds of sicknesses, don't give up. After the Munah, every one of your prayers make a difference. It's written in the Torah, when you under stress, when all these problems will come to you in the end of days, And will lead you to do teshuvah, to repent. What makes a person become faithful to God? Suffering. That's the number one most effective drive. When a person has time for God? When the doctor told him, you have 3 months to live. Now he remembered that there is a God. I'll tell you a story. One time a woman called me up, "Rabbi, I need," if I remember correctly, either 12 or 18 mezuzot. I bring very good mezuzot from Israel, from holy Sofrim, Bnei Torah, also half the price of what they sell in the stores, tefillin, mezuzot. It's not easy to find such level. She knew it. She calls me up, she wants mezuzot. She's a very righteous woman, very righteous. I was wondering who she needs this mezuzot for. So I asked her, okay, mezuzot, but who do you need it for? She said, for my brother. So I say, why, your brother's mezuzot were not kosher? She said, no, he didn't have mezuzot until now. I would say, this is a Persian family. Where in the world you find a Persian person that refused to put mezuzot in his door? You find people from other countries, but Persian refused to put mezuzot. I said to her, what? Your brother didn't have mezuzot until now? She said no. So I say to her, oh, so what happened all of a sudden he want mezuzot? Hashem Yirachem, I hope he didn't get sick. When people want mezuzot or to check their mezuzot, And the doctor just told him, we found something, unfortunately. Did he get cancer? She said, no, wolves. I said, ma, what could be wolves? So I said, wolves? Wow, what happened? She said, don't ask. She started to cry, don't ask. FBI. An IRS agent broke into his office with badges in front of all his employees, put handcuffs on his hands, and told him, "You're under arrest for this, for that." You know, when they come, every possible sin they attach to you, even if you have no connection to it. Why? To make it sound very scary. Money laundering, this, that, trafficking, you know. You don't even know half of the things they say, but they already destroy you. By the time they come, they freeze your assets, everything. So she said to me, so they arrested him and they froze his bank account. And then when she started to scream now, until now she was crying. Now she started to scream because she's a very righteous woman. She said to him, they took $50 million. But then she started to scream even louder, but you know how many times I came to him to beg him to help families of religious, bachorei shiva that learns Torah and didn't have money for Shabbat. And ask him if he can help contribute something for their children to have food for Shabbat. And every time he answered me, no, I'm very bad bach, I'm bad bach, I don't have money, I owe money, I'm in debt. $50 million in a bank account besides the real estate. And I begged him to give 500 here, 1,000 there, and what did he say? I'm miserable. And Hashem said, yes, you are. I'll make sure you will be. What happened now? He lost everything, and on top of it, he now remembered that he needs to put mezuzot. That's what I just read to you, this pasuk. Vatsar lecha, when I'm gonna put you under stress, take your head and push push it into the water and drown you, and all you're gonna care now is to get air. You're not gonna care about your Mercedes and about your beautiful mansion and not about your investment in the Cayman Islands and not on the new car you just ordered. In one second, you won't care about all of that. All you're gonna want is to survive. That's what this pasuk says. That's when you will return 'all the way to me,' Hashem said. And what's the outcome would be? 'And I will return all the way to you.' 'Veshab Hashem Elokecha berichamecha,' 'I'm gonna have mercy on you and I'm gonna bring everything back,' meaning all the decrees that were on the way to you or already came to you will start leaving you one by one. Why? Because the whole purpose of these punches was just to wake you up. Just like a father who loves his son and he sees that his son is about to try a drug for the first time in his life and immediately responds with such a smack to his face from paranoia. "Eee! You're about to try drugs in Meshuggah? What are you, normal?" Screams. He embarrasses himself in public in front of everyone. Father, why? Just the thought that his son is going to become a drug addict drives him crazy. If someone saw that smack, what will he say? That that's a good father or a bad father? It depends who you ask. If you ask the lefty wicked liberals, they say, whoa, such a cruel father. It's a free world, let him try and decide. Enough with this nonsense. Because of this kind of people, we are where we are today. The world is destroyed. So, someone who has a brain in his head, when he sees the father reacts like that, he knows the father still cares about his son. Otherwise, what would he care? Do whatever you want, it's your life. Whatever you want. I one time had a 23 years ago I met a guy in Queens, big guy, and very religious. One time he came to me and said, you know who my father is? Who? Very famous, very famous person in Israel, famous person, always on the news. So he said to me, but I want to tell you something, he is really not my real father. You know how I found out? I said, how? He said, one time I was in one of his restaurants and after the shift he took a chair and broke it on my back. Took a chair, boom, broke it on my back, knocked me down on the floor, almost killed me. So I started to scream to him, what kind of a father does such a thing to his son? And he said, you're right, I'm not your real father. Ask your mother who your father is. What Italian going in Italy? That's how he found out. Why? Because the father that cares about his son is not gonna break a chair on his head. Give him a smack to wake him up. It's not about to break his bones here. Same thing, a son that loves his father cannot hit his grave. The Maharaj says, one woman, she came to her daughter and said to her, listen, if you commit sins, be clever like me. Don't do it and let people find out. I have 7 boys, right? All your brothers, every one of them is from a different father. Only one of them is from your real father. "If you want to do what I did, do it, but do not attract attention." What happened? The father heard that from behind the wall. The father heard what she just said, but he doesn't know which one is his son now. 7 boys, stinking. One day he got sick from a broken heart and he wrote a will. What did he write in the will? All my assets and my money goes to my only son. He doesn't know which one. Anytime they open the will and they see such a strange will, everybody asks, what's wrong with him? Maybe he lost his mind. He had 7 sons. What are we gonna do now? Let's go to the Beit Din. They came to the Beit Din. Who was the rabbi there? Rav Benah. One Chacham, Rav Ben Ah, say, ask them, your father was normal? Yes, to the last minute, he was talking, recognizing everyone. So that's the wheel he wrote? Yes. The Rabbi already knew there's something fishy here. So the Rabbi said to them, okay, since your father did such a stupid thing, I'm sorry. I want each one of you to take a stick and go tomorrow morning to his grave and hit his grave hard. Boom, boom, shame on you! Why you create hatred between your sons? After you do that, you come back to the Beit Din and Hashem will show me what to do. Okay, that's what you said, Rabbi, that's what we're going to do. The next morning, the next evening, they meet again. All of you went today to the cemetery? You went? Yes. You hit the grave? Yes. You? Yes. You? Yes. One of them was quiet. So what's with you? He said, I didn't go. He said, why you didn't go? He said, my heart does not let me hit my father's grave. I couldn't do it. He said, you're the only son. Everything belongs to you. A real son cannot hit his father's grave. It cannot be. And that's the message for each one of us A real son cannot go against his Father in Heaven. If you cannot go against your biological father, how can you go against Hashem? How can you go after heresy? How can you go after lack of modesty? David HaMelech writes in Tehillim, Rav Otai, tzarah ve'agon em tzah. Tzara means trouble. Yagon means agony. Em Tza means I found, like a bargain, finding a wallet. Em Tza, Metziya. Metziya means it's a lost object. You walk on the street, you found a Rolex. You're happy or you sad? You're happy. You found cash, you're happy. You found a diamond ring, you're happy. That's called Metziya. But they Trouble and agony I found. The language is incorrect. He should have said trouble and agony came to me. I didn't find it. I didn't run to look for it. You find what you go to look for. Chachamim explain when suffering comes, it's the best bargain. Why? It wakes you up. It reconnects you to Hashem. Once it reconnects you to Hashem, you get back your Olam Haba. What got you the next world to come? The suffering you got. That's why in Tehillim they call it mitziah, finding a jewel, finding a jewel, finding a good thing. It's written, Rabotai, Adam Elo disha, a man came from a woman. A man can only come to the world from a woman, right? How a human being is created? You have the father that gives the seed, that's it, one seed. From all the sperm, there are millions, one will enter the egg. One will enter the egg. Now, sometimes the egg will split to two and there will be identical twins. Sometimes two sperms will go to two eggs at the same time. A man and a woman was together, one sperm went to one seed, went here, and one went here. That's non-identical twins. 2 pregnancies at the same time. 2 eggs fertilized and become 2 different— that's why they don't look alike. Can be boy and a girl, don't look alike. But if they look alike, exactly 2 boys or 2 girls, the same face, very identical twins, that means one sperm divided to 2. That's why everything by them is the same. That's what the Gemara already told us 2,000 years ago when there was There was no microscope. That's just to show you that the Oral Torah is 1000% divine. Because nobody knew until 30 years ago this concept, what I just told you. Even doctors didn't know it. In this generation they're discovering all these things. So now we know that if the mother is Jewish, the boy is Jewish. The father is not relevant to the identity if you're Jewish or not. It's only the mother. The question is what part of the mother makes you Jewish? The egg or the womb? Or both? Why am I asking you this? Let's say a woman cannot have kids. She has a womb but she doesn't have eggs. She wants another woman to donate an egg. So they take an egg from a different woman, they take the sperm from her husband, in the lab fertilize the egg of a different woman with the husband's seed and put it inside her womb and she will give birth and no one will ever know about it. And the kid may even look like the father. It may look like a father, it may look like the donor, the other woman. So for instance, if it's too, uh, Black people and they got an egg from a white woman, right? All of a sudden they may have a blonde kid look like the donor and it's not a problem. The seed is from the Black man, the womb is from a Black woman, the seed was from a white woman or the other way around. The question is what makes you Jewish? The egg or the womb? Why? Because if you get the egg from a non-Jewish woman and you plant it with the seed of the Jewish man and you put it inside the womb, now what happened right now? The kid was born from a Jewish mother. The Torah says that someone who comes from a Jewish mother, the Jewish mother makes him Jewish. But maybe what the Torah meant is because the Jewish mother contributes two things. The egg and the womb. Because in the old days there was no way, there's no technology to take from a different woman. So that's why Hashem said everyone who comes from a woman, that's where we know if he's Jewish or not. But maybe the egg is the one who makes you Jewish. So it's become a 50-50 doubt. When you have such a doubt, you could not have a child and all your life not know what it is. 50% are you, 50% 50% Jewish, 50% goy. Why? You don't know what you are. Nobody knows. Why? Because my egg is from a non-Jewish woman and the womb is from a Jewish mother. Or the other way around. If you take an egg from a Jewish mother and plant it in the womb of a non-Jewish mother and he came out from a non-Jewish mother, but maybe the egg is what gives life. So maybe he's Jewish even though he came out from Christian. What do you mean you're not Jewish? What do you mean you're Jewish? Your mother is Christina. I delivered you. Yeah, but the egg was from Rachel. So what do you do? You must make sure that both of them are Jewish. You cannot take risk. So if you want— she wants a donation of an egg, it has to be from a Jewish woman and has to be a single woman, not a married woman. Why? Because now we have another doubt. The Torah says that if you have a kid from a married woman, the kid is a mamzer. Why is it a mamzer? Because there was pleasure, or the married woman had pleasure together with someone who is not her husband, and now she conceived because of the actual sin, or because it came from a different person? It's a 50-50%. So because you take an egg from a married woman and you fertilize the egg and you put it in the wife of your wife and the kid is born, it's saphek mamzer because the egg came from a married woman. Who gave you permission to go with a married woman? I didn't go with her. I don't even know who she is. But doesn't matter. Your seed went into her egg. And these eggs come from a married woman. So you can't take that risk. So it has to be a single woman and a Jewish woman. Jewish woman and single, and she donates the egg. And then you take the seed and put it in, and then you put it in your wife, and your wife gives birth, and the kid is for sure Jewish. What happens now if the donor will change her mind? The baby was born from your wife and she showed up with her lawyers. I'm sorry, I changed my mind, I'm the mother. Now you need the tribe of Solomon, you know, King Shlomo took the sword and he was about to cut the baby. That's how you know who's the real mother. So the answer is, I think that some countries already have laws about this. These things. They may close. Obviously, if you take a donation, you have to make sure that all the legal documents will be signed. That's a big problem all the time, all these things. Why am I telling you all of this? When Maharaj, I want to finish with this, and that's it, we got late already. It's written like this: A person was born from a woman. What's his nature? All of us came from a woman. We were born to the world. Even though the liberals, they want to redesign the world. They want all the men to be together and all the women be together and the world will come to an end in 2 generations. That's what they want to do. So we know that in order for the world to continue, you need men and women. That's it. So it's written like this in the Book of Job, chapter 14, verse 1. Adam Yelodi Sha, a man that was born from a woman, a person, not necessarily a man. K'tzari Amim U'svar Rogez, short life full of anger. What makes the life of a human being shorter than what Hashem wanted it to be? The answer is anger. The more angry you become in your life, the less your life will be. So if Hashem wanted you to live to age 90 and every day get angry, angry, angry, every little thing coming, screaming, fighting, you're gonna die 65, 70. Why? Anger every episode. Cut something from your life. A month, 3 months, 1 month, 2 weeks. Only Hashem knows how much. Anger, King Solomon wrote, is the number 1 killer. How else you can find a person that get an anger attack and get a heart attack? I'll tell you a story and we'll finish with this. One man, he was an electrician in Israel. Electrician. He had a job in Eilat. He lived in Tel Aviv. He has a job in Eilat. This story happened 20 years ago. Really happened. I'm embarrassed to even tell you these stories, but just to show you how horrible the world became. So he started the job on Thursday morning in one of the hotels in Eilat. Eilat, very similar to Miami Beach if you ever been there. Ocean, beach, resorts, lots of hotels. Unbelievable ocean there, sea, the Red Sea over there is beautiful, nice blue water. Lots of unbelievable fish. Fish. People dive there from all over the world. And the view of the mountains, the desert, unbelievable. Then it's one of the prettiest places. And Baruch Hashem, there's a lot of baalei teshuvah there. I have many, many baalei teshuvah in Eilat. Every time I go there, minimum 500 young boys and girls already Shabbat from the cities waiting already. Why? Revolution in Eilat. But it's still a place of tourism from all over the world. I don't have to tell you what happened over there. The electrician worked in a hotel Thursday all day, didn't finish the job. Okay, the hotel said, we're gonna give you a room. It's no point of driving to Tel Aviv 5 hours and then come back Friday. Friday, they still didn't finish the job. They said to him, look, it's up to you. You want to leave now and drive to Tel Aviv? They're not showing up Shabbat, so you can drive at night, Friday night. But you have to come back Sunday early morning to finish the job. The hotel needs the electrician to be fixed. Or we give you a room, you stay for Shabbat, finish the work, and then go back Sunday. He calls his wife. I'm gonna stay, there's no point of driving back and forth. I'm gonna stay in the hotel and I come back Sunday. Now, when a secular man is in a hotel alone and his Yetzer Hara begins to work, what does he do? Open there the magazine, whatever he had over there, and invited the woman to the room. The woman knocked on the door. He opened the door and who does he see? His own daughter, a student. He thinks she's in university in Tel Aviv. Half of which is in university, half of which is a prostitute in Eilat. And he has no idea. Secular family. Who opens the door? Who came? His own daughter, Rabotai. When he saw that, he started to to scream, to cry. He got so angry, young man in his 40s, got a heart attack and died on the spot. The girl, after she killed her father, she came and became religious. At least the story had a, well, I don't know if to call it a happy end after what happened, but better than it was before. At least she became balachuvah. She felt so guilty. That's how the story eventually came out to one of the books. So this is to show you what anger can cause a person. Anger or pain in the heart, like losing a lot of money or finding out horrible news. A person can die on the spot. But if he doesn't die, he'll definitely shorten his life. So the conclusion of this lecture: everybody must work on his Emunah every day. How do you work on your Emunah? The advice of David HaMelech: "Emanti ke Adaber." You know why I'm such a believer? I'm busy with that all day. I listen to lectures, I retailing, Tehillim is full of Emunah. Tehillim is amazing. I read all kinds of other books, Confidence in Hashem. I have a lot of lectures about Confidence in Hashem. Actually, we made the series of Confidence in Hashem in this shul, but before it was so big. It was a small, tiny— you will remember, It was across the street, right? Yeah, yeah, that's probably 18 years ago. No, how many years ago it was? Something like that. And that hundreds of thousands of views and changed the life of many people. Confidence in Hashem. Hashem said, the more you have confidence in me, the more I'm obligated to do for you. The less you trust me and count on me, the more you're going to have to to do. So what would you like it to be? You like to be a slave and take care of yourself, or you want me to serve you? It's 100% in your hand. If you trust me and you throw everything on me, I'm gonna get everything done for you. If you don't trust me and you trust yourself and your college degree, you're gonna work like a dog until the last day of your life. What is it going to be? It's 100% your choice. So, why suffering for nothing? Ignorance makes your life hell. All the suffering, all the agony, all the pain, all the crying, almost all of it for nothing. Most of the things we cry for is for nonsense. What the things we should really cry for, we don't cry. They ask Rabbi Moshe Yosef, how all your sons became victim of Chachamim? The Torah does not pass by inheritance. He said, every day when I pray, For Hashem that my children would love Torah and love to learn Torah and become scholars of Torah. You know how much I cried? He didn't cry for money and he didn't cry for a lot of things that we cry for. What did he cry for? For Torah. For Torah. When you cry for that, you get the Banim, the Nechamim. Plus you have to to pray to Hashem to give us Emunah. We pray every day in Filat Shemonei Eseret. We pray in Filat Shemonei Eseret, we say inside Filat Shemonei Eseret, right? What do we ask? We ask Hashem to help us to have confidence in Him. That's why we pray every day. Some of us Cursing ourselves every day in filat shmona. We don't realize. Some people are minim en apikosi. You know what minim en apikosi means? They don't believe in Hashem. They don't keep Shabbat. They don't believe that parnassah is from Hashem. They believe parnassah comes from college. That's why they said to the children, if you won't go to college, what's going to come out of you? When they talk like that, they make themselves a psychosis. And then they come to the shul and they pray. People that speak like that. If we won't have an army, how are we going to live? If we're not going to work, who's going to feed us? If we won't go to college, how are we going to find a job? If I'm not gonna try to go to every single party, how I'm gonna get married? This kind of speeches that people speak, it's called Kefira, heresy. People become infidels with the yarmulke on their head, even though they're not understanding that yes, they are Shomer Shabbat, but they're still Kefira. Free because they really believe that they have money thanks to the fact that they became lawyers or doctors. They forgot that boxers who don't know how to read English make $30 million in 10 minutes when they work their entire life taking care of people's mouth and smell their horrible smell from their mouth in the dental office. And in the end, maybe they made $30 million. And the guy from the Bronx on the phone that never went to school one day of his life, that knows how to give you punches, made $30 million because Hashem wanted him to be a multimillionaire. That's it. And many educated people barely pay their bills. And a lot of stupid people make fortunes. Look at some of the politicians. So much money and you see how dumb they are. You cannot believe it. This guy made money in high tech, developed some app, people that work for him. He was lucky, sold it $80 million, that's it. You speak to the person, you never saw someone dumber than him. But he has $80 million and you, the professor, make $50,000 a year. Why? Because Shlomo HaMelech said education does not bring Parnasa. And it's Kefira to think that the more educated you are, the more money you make. It's wrong. It's not true. If Hashem wants you to make a lot of money, sometimes He pushes you to learn something that will bring you money, yes. But a lot of people without education made fortunes. The educated people get angry when you tell them that. So what are you saying, that I killed myself in university 10 years for nothing? The answer The answer is yes. You would make the same amount of money without all of that. You just get angry. But that's not my opinion, by the way. I don't want you to think that it's my opinion. It's written in the Torah. Hashem said, everything you have is from me. Your houses are from me. All the wealth inside the house, I filled it for you. Wells that you did not dig. Be full and don't be ungrateful and remember who gives you the strength to succeed. Everything you have is from me. Somebody has to do. Just talk to Hashem, Rabotai. Very easy, every day, Hashem, I'm in your hands. I have this problem, help me out. Any questions before we finish? I want to thank again Rabbi Alon and all the beautiful community over here. We meet once in a while. Sorry, I made it a little bit long. You know, I pushed buy one, get one free. I pushed another lecture.
