Even though the generation of the flood made a lot of sins against God, in the end they got the final verdict because of stealing. 3 good things that Noah had: he was righteous, he was complete, and he was walking with God. The life of Noah was in triplets. He had 3 sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth. We are the children of Shem. The Africans are the children of Ham and Japheth are all the Europeans, Americans, everyone that came from Europe. And he also saw 3 worlds in his life, 3 generations actually. The old generation before the flood, how all the people were wicked and doing what they do. He saw the world is destroyed by the flood, by the Mabul, and he saw the rebuild of the world. How it all started from him and his children. So it's a Maharash like 3 different planets. Rashi says Noah had doubts. He wasn't sure. He didn't have full faith that Hashem really is going to destroy the world. He didn't have full faith. Why? He only went into the ark when the water left him no choice. The people came first not to let him in, But Hashem sent some lions and they got scared. They said, "You're gonna die with us. We now see that you were right." So the lions scared them away, but Noah still refused to go into the ark. He said, "Ah, maybe Hashem is just warning. It cannot be, He's gonna kill millions of people now." Water got to his nose. "I had no choice, I had to go in." Meaning, If Hashem told you that He's going to do it and He prepared you for that for 120 years, you're still doubting the last 5 minutes if it's going to happen or not? That's called Ktanei Hamana. Your Emunah is not strong enough.
