Media distractions and Propaganda... Ep 13

This is a radio/transcript of a Power 108.9 program (Conscious Intercourse) hosted by Armand Kadima and guests (including Michael McFadden, Emoney, Tony Hightower). The episode opens and intersperses station ads and sponsor reads, then focuses on a sustained discussion defining masculine and feminine energy: traits, social roles, cultural change, wounded/toxic variants, biological/hormonal and environmental influences (e.g., atrazine, diet), and suggestions for restoring balance (awareness, community, screening hormones). The tone is conversational, opinionated, and prescriptive about returning to traditional role balances.

Get it?
It looked like it.
Okay.
Thank you. Like you. You had a bite. A little. You had a bite. A little something. Something.
You was hungry, D. You had to call me out like that?
Hey, I'm just saying they see, I'll call you out or we just. We're going to be watching you the whole show.
Appreciate you now.
Right. Do that to myself, straight up.
Appreciate you.
It's, you know, it's all love. I love always, always.
Hope y' all feeling good out there.
You know, feeling amazing.
Feeling cold. Y' all cold.
Feeling good.
Anybody else cold out there?
What is going on? Can somebody please tell me what is going on with this weather?
It's fall. It's falling, man.
It went from summer to winter just like that. Just like that. It's like.
No, fall, it's fallen.
Yeah. Fall.
Yeah. So what happens in the fall? The weather falls.
I love the fall.
So the weather's falling, right?
I don't know what it's doing.
It's falling. Temperatures are falling.
Yeah.
Freeze warning tonight.
Yeah.
And last night. I don't know what that means, but they'd be like, freeze warning.
That means it's warning that it just might freeze.
That's gonna be really cold.
This might get cold. Bundle up. Yes.
So it's cuffing season.
Ah, cuffing season.
Right. Is that what that happens? Is that what happens when it gets cold? Is that why it's coming? Is that why cuffing season is in.
The fall and winter people.
Right. It's cold. So you want. You like some heat.
Yeah. Some body heat, you know? Right. A shack up and you know?
Okay. It wasn't nothing freaky with cuffs and stuff. It was just.
Oh, goodness. Well, maybe all that. You know, a little bit of all that.
Just that. I never understood cuffing season. Why. Why got to be cuffing? Why can't be cuddling season.
Getting locked up like it's. Yeah.
You're cuffing, locking somebody up for. Wow. We locked for this season against their own will, huh? We're just gonna stay here. No, don't go nowhere for this entire. Just to hibernate with me.
Don't be against nobody will.
Well, you're saying lock. You just said locked up, being locked up. All right, we're gonna leave that one. I'm not touching that one.
Some people like being cuffed.
I'm not touching that one. So. So what we got today? What you got in your. What we talking about today?
Our mind is something very interesting, and that is masculine and feminine energy. H. Masculine infin. And feminine energy.
Masculine and feminine energy.
Absolutely. What is masculine and feminine energy? You know, it's, it's something that we innately have.
Yeah. Almost seems like a lost art. Right? Like, not given, you know, the, the trend of our society today or the status of our society today. It's almost like there's no such thing as masculine or feminine. Everything is just, it's just got lost. It's just fluid fluff.
Everything is just, you know, whatever now.
Like, you know, women say, oh, we could do everything a man can do. You know, men say women can do nothing without us. Right. It's this thing where it's like, you know, a man can have babies now.
Oh, God.
Right.
Well, yeah, I, I, I get the same, I guess, with all the, you know.
Right. This is just. There's all these things that are happening right now, but I'm like, all right. I mean, no shade. I'm like, you know, to each his own, apparently.
To each his own, you know, but in whatever. Whatever your preference.
Yeah.
Is right.
We love, we love everyone. Right.
We love everyone. You know, and however you choose to exist, there's something that also exists, which is masculine and feminine energy.
So you embody something innately. Right.
Innately. It's, it's in this. It's just a healthy balance of it. Like.
Yes.
You know, as a man, they say you should have a, you know, you should have more masculinity. And as a female, you should have more femininity. But we, we all have both.
So what exactly is that? Like, can we define what these are? Like? What is masculine? What does that Actually mean, you know, it's.
It's operating in. In the masculine and in the divine masculine, which is, you know, you know, taking control. Those things that, you know, thinking logically. Thinking logically.
Thinking linear.
Exactly.
Competitive nature.
Right.
We're talking about the masculine. Masculine is typically. It's all about, you know, exerting your strength. Right.
Power.
Power. Right. It's. It seeks power. It seeks to dominate. It seeks to. To rise above, to overcome challenges. It seeks to control. To control, yes. So that's. Anything else. Right. It's typically. It's the sense of feeling like you have to take on the world.
Right, right.
And you do whatever you want to do with it. Right. This. This ego. It's almost like. I don't want to use the word egotistical, but a lot of times it's associated with ego.
Yeah. Masculinity is associated with ego. Absolutely.
Yeah. So it's. It's very profound that. That's how it's defined. Right. So can you tell me more about feminine? Because I'm. Let you. I'm gonna let you. That's what we're gonna do. I'm gonna let. You're gonna represent the feminine. I'll represent the masculine. Right.
Feminine is more of, you know, the creative side, the nurturing side, the softer side, you know. You know, like a mother. Like, you know, you just want to. It's not always necessarily the finance and the hard work and the control, like the masculine. It's more the nurturing, you know, and. And keeping things in order and. Yeah. And. And being creative.
Because you. Because you typically are a creator.
We. Right.
Of.
Of life.
Of life.
Of life.
You create children when you prepare meals. You're creative because you're able to take this. That. Mix it up with that.
Yes.
And then it comes.
Exactly.
It comes with this meal.
Exactly.
And you have this, like, more of a loving nature. Right. I'm just trying to define nurturing.
Absolutely.
What I understand about, you know, feminine energy as far as being able to, you know, to identify with feminine traits. Right. Which.
Which in. In anything to. To sustain any kind of relationship or anything. I think you need both. I think you need a healthy balance of both. And, you know, people are often talking about, you know, the.
The.
The misuse or the. The mis. Misconception of what it should be. You know, like a man having a little bit more femininity than he should.
Okay.
And a woman having or operating in her masculine.
Correct.
You know, and this. That's when it's off balance and things tend to you know, like in business and relationships, if you have a little bit more than the other, it doesn't. It doesn't work.
Right. So it's almost like you gotta have a.
Healthy balance.
Well, a healthy balance where it's. You have the masculine principle cooperating with the feminine principle. Right, right. And collectively, because they nurture, they take.
Care of each other.
So collectively, you're able to succeed.
Exactly.
Iteration of life. Right. So you need a little bit of both. Right. So. So we understand that masculine really is associated with those principles that are characteristic or traits associated with being a man. Right, right. What a being a man is. Right. Like we talked about, it's being a provider. Right, right. It's being the. The person that protects. Right. The person that.
Responsible.
Yeah, responsible.
Right, right.
The person that has more physical bruteness.
Right.
The ability to go pick up heavy things.
Aggressive.
Right, Aggressive. Right. Because you kind of need that, you know, that. That. That whatever. Courage, confidence. Right. The strength to be able to get things done. Because to protect, you have to be able to exemplify or demonstrate the ability to actually go and beat the crap.
Out of somebody if need be.
Right. Or wrestle, you know, a lion. Like I saw. Like I saw Idris recently, you know, beat up a lion. Yeah. I was like, wow, that's masculine. Yeah. Idris was beating the crap out of a lion.
Beast. We talk about beast.
Right. To protect. To protect his children. Right. His daughters.
That's right.
That's, you know, that's masculine energy, in a sense. And feminine is more that nurture, I think, for me, it's like, I hear that nurture. It's like I hear motherly, you know, loving on the children. Loving on her man.
And vulnerable. Vulnerability.
Yeah. Pouring into her, you know, their partner. Or the masculine principle. Right. So we all recognize that we all come in as either masculine or feminine. Right. Into this incarnation.
Right, right.
And. And then we have to be able to recognize and operate in those types of traits associated with, you know, being masculine and feminine. We have. We also could talk about physiologically. Right, right. We have, you know, masculine typically have testosterone. Right. Which kind of governs those, you know, those emotions and those energies within a male being.
Right.
And then estrogen. Estrogen, Right, right. For the feminine.
Right.
So there's definitely a differentiator between the two.
Right? Absolutely.
They're extremely different. The way they process information, the way they think, the way they do things. Right. Is completely different.
Yes.
So we can acknowledge that there's a difference between the two.
Absolutely.
So I think what a lot of times, we have to learn to recognize these things in one another. Right? So as we define these things, right, Masculine versus feminine and the traits thereof, then we have to understand the roles in society.
Right?
Right. Because ultimately, as we go into society, whether it's, you know, in a relationship, raising children at home, in a marriage or whatever it is, or whether it's at the office, whether it's in church, whether it's on a podcast, right, Wherever, right. There is those principles that we have to recognize and allow the masculine to. Because as we, as we matriculate in life, as long as we, you know, live, there are needs that come along where things must be handled by masculine energy and things that must be handled by feminine energy. So when these things come up, like we talked about, you know, protection, right? So somebody is banging on the door at 2:00 in the morning, right? You don't want the masculine be like, hey, babe, babe, go check.
You better not. Right, Right. That's a problem. Right?
And I'm hungry. I'm like, yo, like, the man is hungry. He knows like, yo, like, go fix. That's not how it works, right?
The masculine, the feminine, go nurture, right?
Go nurture and create. Be. Create. Create something. Make soul food, right?
Make anything.
Right.
Something out of nothing if need be, but make it happen.
Right, Exactly. Right.
Yes.
So as we discuss these things, Right. We then begin to look at our world. Right. Because I hear a lot of conversations around, especially I hear women operating in their masculine. I hear that very often nowadays.
Yes.
I don't hear a lot about men operating in their feminine, but I think it's a conversation to have as well. Oh, it's mostly I hear more people talking about women being masculine because they have to go to work. Right?
Yeah.
Women having to go to work and provide is a. Is them operating their masculine bodies. Right.
But it's almost necessary in today's society, you know.
Yeah.
Where women have to, you know, be a little bit more masculine as we should be.
Exactly. But why is that?
That's because we've lost our, you know, we. We lost the structure of things.
Okay. You know, did we lose it or was it taken away? Well, right. It's. Is it. Was it by choice?
It's learned. It's learned behavior, you know, it's something that we've learned and, and adopted throughout the years of, you know, patriarchy, you know.
Okay.
And, yeah, it's almost like the new norm, Right. And it's like, you know, the me too. The whole me too movement and everything. Is like, you know, I could do it too. Whatever a man can do, I can do too. And it's like, that's empowering for some women.
Is it?
It is, it is.
Okay, when you say empowering in what type of way?
Well, empowering to, you know, you know, women were, you know, when it came to expressing themselves, speaking up, know where we're kind of shunned from, that. It's like, no, you know, you, you fall back, play your position, you know, not, you're not supposed to. That's, that's masculine.
Okay.
You know, so it's like now women are stepping up, women are running businesses, women are heading the households. Okay, so that's empowering now.
So empowering meaning that them operating in masculinity is power.
That's how it's, that's how it's seen? Unfortunately, yes.
Okay. Because we are in a masculine dominated society.
Absolutely.
Is that what it is? So being that we're in a masculine patriarchal society, women are being empowered by operating in their masculine energy.
Right.
Even though that's contrary to their inner nature.
Yes.
Okay, so is that.
Which is why we have so much dysfunction.
Right, Right. So, exactly. So women being empowered.
Right. Because it's like we have to be. It's like it's. No, we have to. To survive. We cannot depend on the masculine, on the male, you know, as we should. Because there's a lot of males out here with. Is operating in feminine energy.
Correct.
You know, a little more than the norm. So we had to adjust.
So is it by. That's what I'm saying. You said we lost, you said we lost our way.
Yeah, we lost our way.
Did we lose it or was it taken away? That's really, I'm trying to get to, like, how do we get, get here if. Yeah. If divine nature, divine alignment dictates that there are masculine, you know, these beings are masculine of a masculine principle, and these beings over feminine principle.
Right.
How do we find ourselves in a state of confusion. Right. Where these beings are operating in their opposite, you know.
Right.
Intended purposes.
Right.
So. So, so I'm saying, was it, did we just lose it or it just happened?
It's, it's, it didn't just happen. Like I said, it was learned, you know, it's, it's, it's, it's, it's put out there to break things down, you know, break down the family structure.
Correct.
Taking the man out the household.
Correct. So, so, so it's by design.
By design.
Okay, so. Okay, okay, got it. So it's by design. So I could. I could agree with you there. Right. It's by design by whosoever. Right. Is designed this thing to be what.
It is, by the powers that be.
Right. Because even in nature. Right. You could. There's feminine and masculine principles even in nature.
And in nature, absolutely.
Like the ocean typically is considered. Like nature is considered typically a feminine principle.
Yes.
Right. So it's like.
Yeah, right.
Nature, typically, because it gives birth to things.
That's the feminine.
Right. It's. It's. It's. It's. You know, one of the things as well, that I've learned about feminine energy. It's. It's unpredictable. Right. It's like weather. Like hurricanes and tornadoes.
Just moody.
Moody, right. Nature is very moody. Right?
Yes.
Because one minute it'd be 100 degrees, next minute it'd be 50. Right. Or tornadoes just come out of nowhere. You'd be like, yo.
Right?
Yeah, Right. That's typically, you know, what I think about as, you know, as feminine energy. Feminine energy, in a sense. Right.
Yeah.
And masculine is, to me, the things that we create. Right. Out of the things that nature give us. Right. You know, we take, you know, these, like, cars and houses and these things that we take out of, you know, nature because we have to inject a sense of logic, you know, of some type of a logic and calculated approach to create these things that are then used from what nature has created.
Absolutely.
So as we begin to identify one without the other. Exactly. They complement each other. Right?
Absolutely.
So to begin to learn and essentially differentiate between the two, we then have to be even. For example, for me, I even look at, you know, clothing, for example. Right. You have masculine clothes, clothings, apparel. You have me, you know, feminine apparel. Right?
Yes.
Like, personally, for me, like, pants are masculine. Right. So I don't understand why women wear pants. I don't. That. That, that, you know, that.
You don't understand why women wear pants?
No, because that's masculine clothing. Like, why are you wearing feminine pants, you know? No.
Okay.
Like, it's. But I'm just saying, like, I was watching a show. I was watching a show with my children. They had me watching Grownish one time.
Right, okay.
Watching Grownish. And I guess the girl Chloe or something was dating somebody, and he shows up in a dress.
Okay.
So she was a little befuddled. She's just like. She's like, I don't know. I'm dating this guy. He's kind of fluid. But he showed up. I'm like, I don't want him Showing up with a better dress than I have on. Right. But it's a thing now. I was watching the show, like, men can wear dresses now, but that's.
They call unisex.
Right, exactly. But so. So that's what I mean by that. Right? That's. Dresses are feminine. Right. So if you see a man in a dress, you're like, oh, that throws you off.
Right.
I feel the same way when I see a. A woman in pants. I'm like, yo, Interesting. It throws me off because I actually grew up. It's so interesting. Growing up in Zaire, it was illegal for women to wear pants.
Really?
Yeah.
Illegal.
Illegal. Women did not wear pants, so they always had those wraps. We used to call it kikwembe. They wore the wraps. That's all the women wore. They didn't wear pants. Okay. So we came to America, and I saw my mama wearing pants. I was like, whoa, like, she's got pants on. Like, it was.
I'm saying, interesting.
Yeah. So I grew up.
Yeah.
It was a culture shock. Like, women are wearing pants, you know, and then you can see all their stuff, shapes. Then I started feeling some type of way, and I didn't know why. You know, if I'm at the grocery store, I'm like, oh, my God, what's going on? I'm in the classroom. I can't get up because it's like. It's like break time. I'm like.
Okay, that's the thing for you. I mean, they shouldn't be. That's the thing. Feminine pants shows your shape. Masculine pants should not. A man should not have on skinny. My perception, I. I don't like to see a man in skinny jeans or them super tight pantsuit, two pants. No, no, no, no. I mean, that's just me. I don't. I think that's more the feminine. I think that's a man operating so feminine when it.
Show when you're showing your curves on your body. So showing your body makes it feminine. That's what I'm hearing here.
Well, I. I think femininity is, you know, it's. It's adornment. It's. You know, because we did that even. You know. Yes. Like, know. I'm not. I'm not saying to the point where you're. It's, you know, you're showing it all, but I think that is a. A form of femininity to be.
To be attractive, to be sexy, per se.
Right. To show to.
So can you not be sexy unless you wear tight pants or. Or show off something.
Yes. You can be sexy in anything.
To me, there's nothing like a dress.
No, I agree.
What. What happens in the spring? The. The. The flower is a flower. What do you call those things? Sundresses. Nothing like a sundress. Right. You'd be like, yo, it's sundress. Right. It's like, to me, it's like, that's feminine. Right. I mean, that's. I'm just. My perspective. Right.
Yes.
Because we have to be able to identify. Because the purpose of this conversation. Well, rather, this conscious intercourse.
Yes.
Right. Is to differentiate between feminine and masculine energy, to actually have us truly comprehensive and what that entails.
Yes.
And I'll just give an example how there's masculinity and femininity in nature there. We see it in ourselves as human beings. We see it in animals. We also. We also see it in clothing and, you know, objects and nature. So I'll just give my perspective that pants are. Because we got to be able to identify. It seems like women can wear. Women can wear anything a man puts on. You could wear suits.
You could wear pants, and it's okay.
There's nothing that we men have to ourselves, like, nothing. There's no masculine. Like, y' all can wear everything we wear, but then a man can't wear dresses. You know, there's a thing now. Women want to wear boxers now. It's like a big thing. Women are buying boxers like crazy. That could wear everything a man wears. But let a man wear, you know, a thong.
Except for the beard, y' all can have that. We don't want that.
Well, well, that's. That's masculine. That's me. That's testosterone. Yeah. I can't. I can't control that. Unless. Yeah.
Get shots. You know, they doing it.
That's the thing.
Yes, there's exactly facial hair.
Exactly. So it's being manipulated, right?
Absolutely.
So we're manipulating the. The design of who we are.
Nature. Yes. Yes. Even. Even in homosexuality, you know, you still have a level of masculine and feminine energy. You have two men, as you usually. Usually see a more feminine one and a masculine one.
So we can't get away from it.
Right.
It's almost like it's required. It's like the yin and the yang. You can't have one without the other.
Yes.
The complementary. It's like they.
Yeah, but there can be toxic levels of it, though.
Okay.
There could be toxic levels. There could be, you know, wounded masculinity, wounded femininity, toxic.
Okay.
Yes.
Please, please elaborate.
You know, it's in. This is operating from. From trauma, from wounds.
Okay.
You know, and, and. And what's perceived and, and how you. How you chose to heal through that. So it's now your wounded femininity.
Okay.
Like you saying, wearing pants or, or just certain responses. That is not necessarily a feminine response.
Okay. Like a behavior.
Behavior. It's like. Okay. But you. You could tell it's operating from some past trauma.
Okay.
You know, women. Women who've been abused, you know, may not feel as sexy.
Okay.
You know, may not want to wear a dress. May not even want to be no one looking at them, you know, because they're operating from trauma.
Correct.
From a wounded place.
Okay.
Same. Same with men.
H. So we could talk about the trauma, wounded places, and also the lack of those principles in your life. For example, a man growing up without a father.
Exactly.
Or a woman growing up without a mother and.
Or vice versa or. Yeah, yeah.
And then not having anybody else or any figures in their lives to represent those things.
Things. Exactly.
So they kind of grow up confused, not knowing. Cuz they, you know, either they grow up spending much of the time around the opposite sex that they find themselves confused as to see a lot of that. They pick up on that. They be. They create this. They naturally partake in this hypnotic rhythm where they gravitate towards or embody a opposite energy.
Exactly.
So all these things are happening and we're. Like you said, that's why it's a mess. Right. That's what we have learned. That's why the confusion is the madness.
Yes.
Right. People choosing one or the other or, you know, relationships aren't working. Right. Divorce rates are through the roof. Right. Because women have to be masculine. So they go to work too. Right. So both the spouses, the masculine and the female are both having to go up and go to work. They're being masculine. Then they also have to be somehow both feminine. Absolutely. Because the man has to cook sometimes to help. He also has to nurture with the children. So it's like you find both, you.
Know, it's too much of something. Right.
Everybody's doing every little bit of everything.
Exactly.
Right. Then there's confusion.
Yeah.
Right. Then it's like, you should be doing this. No, you should be doing this. And it's like there's this conflict that ultimately results because there's confusion because people are operating outside of their intended nature. Right. So it's. It's quite profound that we find ourselves in this place and we have to figure out how to solve it. Right. So I hear this music in the background, you know, telling it. Telling us that we gotta take a pause, rethink our strategy. Right. Identify solutions.
Yes.
That we could figure out how to potentially address this, you know, this major.
Issue and move forward with healthy balance.
Exactly.
We'll be right back.

How come I ain't get to do birthdays on my birthday? Okay. You don't want me do it. It's going to take too long.
So yeah.
We are starting shout out to the November babies. We were made in love. Love.
Yes, we were. Well, depending on what part of the month.
Right, right.
Because I mean if you later in the month. Nah, you was a. You sad. You used a breakup was a side chick.
I didn't even think about that. If you was so if you so.
You know what day what does you.
Are you past the 15th of November? Yeah.
If you're born after the 19th.
Right. Right.
You definitely you you decided. I mean is that you I B.
108.9 A station for the people. What's going on, y'? All? This is Tony Hightower, and you are listening to power 108.9. Yo, we're back. Conscious people, beautiful people, Elevated people. Welcome back to Conscious Intercourse.
Yes. And we are touching on the topic of feminine and masculine energy.
Right. Such an important topic.
Very important. Very, very much overlooked. You know, a lot of people don't recognize it. You know, one. What it. What it. What it is. You know, what it represents.
Yeah. It's been forgotten. It's. Yeah. It's been thrown out of the window.
It has been.
And.
And, you know, like. Like. Like, say, for instance, roles. You talk about growing up in the house and not having mothers.
Some not mothers.
I'm not having fathers.
Yes.
So some having both. Right. Some actually having both, but they're being misrepresented.
Exactly.
So what. What is a healthy. What is a healthy feminine and masculine role in the household? Armand, what do you say?
I'm just saying, right? Like, we all know what manly stuff are, right? Like taking out the trash.
That's manly trash. Yes.
Cutting the grass. Like lawnmower. Right. Even for now, when I see women cutting the grass, I'd be like, right. It's like a double take. It's like, I've seen a dinosaur. I'd be driving. She's got a lawnmower out there.
Right, right.
Like cutting the grass, working on the car. Like changing tires, washing the car. Right. You know, fixing things, you know, if the door breaks, even though there's a, you know, one of the kids, you know, destroys, you know, anything. A hole in the wall, garage door. Right. The whole fixing, repairing things. Right. You know, that's, to me, what masculine is defined as. Right. These things that require, you know, handy. Yeah. Being handy. Strength and, you know, using tools. All these things, to me, those are masculine things.
Right.
Like, we also talk about, you know, answering the door and any. Not, say, in the middle of the night, but any time of day, like, somebody's knocking the door, typically the man should go see who's there. Even little simple stuff like what side of the bed the man sleeps on. He sleeps on the side. Closer to the door.
Closer to the door.
Right.
Sleeps on the inside.
So I was. Yeah, I grew up a little. Stuff like that. Like.
Yeah.
If you're walking down the street, the man is usually on the side closest.
The outside.
Outside closest to the street and the one that's on the inside. Right. A lot of times, stuff like that catches me off guard.
Right.
I'll be walking. I'll Be walking for a woman.
You know, that is. A lot of men don't do that anymore.
Exactly.
Right. What's that about?
Right. You know, so to me, that's. Those are masculine.
Yes.
Roles or traits. Right. And then feminine. It's, you know.
Yes. Cooking.
The cooking.
Cleaning. Where are the children?
Exactly. Make sure the children are in laundry. Right.
Yes. Yes. All that good stuff is taken care of.
Yeah. All the, you know, making sure the family looks good. The nurture. Right.
The nurturing.
Those compliment. You know, shopping. Right. The grocery shopping and organizing, you know, stuff around the house. Right. And it's like that's. It's like that no longer exists. It's all just.
Yeah.
You know, everybody just kind of free for all right now because everybody's just. Survival mode. Right. I guess that's what it is. It's like we're thrown into survival mode. So we're just doing whatever it takes to. To survive.
Absolutely. Because a lot of people, it's like a do for self kind of mentality.
Exactly.
Like, I got it. You know, I'm not looking for somebody else to do for me. I could do it on my own.
Exactly.
You know, and that's. And that's both masculine and feminine. It's like, you know, but you need that healthy balance. And when you have. When you do have both that exist and they're both unhealthy, they're feeding each other unhealthy energy.
Agreed. Right.
And that's. And that gets nowhere. That's why. And that's. That leads to toxic and, you know, tainted relationships.
We even talk about it. Or even going back to the pants thing. Right? Yeah. You've heard of the saying, who's weird? So why.
So now both men like me.
Exactly. Because you're being masculine. Right. Are you wearing pants?
Oh, I totally agree.
Yeah. So I'm just saying it's. We, it's there. We, We. We are aware of it. Right.
Right.
But unfortunately, we. These things are either no longer taught or have been forced out of our lives because of the circumstances. We find ourselves in either survival mode or living under an. An oppressive society.
Yeah.
Or. Or. Or societal structure, perhaps. Right.
Yeah.
Where you find yourself not having masculine energy around or feminine energy around. Right. And then ultimately it impacts your children and there's confusion and madness.
Yeah.
So we have to identify these things. Right. Connect with them and figure out a path to return back to our true essence as divine feminine and divine masculine. Right.
Well, let's first touch, like. Okay. To recognize it, you have to, you know, Be aware of what you're. What you're. What you're recognizing what you're looking at with the. What traits you're observing. So, for instance, when we talk about, let's go to unhealthy, you know, unhealthy or wounded masculine. You know, he's competitive and always want to win. Focus on goals and attach to success. You know, you hear, some people hear that, like that's how man is supposed to be. What you mean? Like, you know, takes everything personal. He needs to be right. He fears failure, defends himself, attacks, accuses, sometimes run away from love, withdraw, you know, create separation.
Exactly.
Again, being aggressive. You know, these are unhealthy, wounded masculine traits.
So is that similar to what hyper masculinity? Because I. I've heard that word tossed around a few times.
Hyper masculinity is unhealthy.
Absolutely, it's unhealthy. And those items you just described kind of give light to. Okay, yeah.
Not in touch with his emotions. Afraid to even express emotions. You know, you see a lot of that. Like, I'm a man, I'm not supposed to cry or, you know, but we're talking. Are you being soft? Like, what is that? I can't, you know, now men, you know, rather hold.
Hold it in acting like a female son done acting like a female, you.
Know, who want to hear that every time they want to express themselves. Like, you know, you got no outlet to let it out.
Come on. Can't be acting like a b cut, you know, why you over there crying for? Let her go. Cut mob.
I can't. But, you know, that's. That's unhealthy masculine and unhealthy wounded feminine. You know, she insecure, secure and looks for internal validation. You know, look at me, look at me. You know, can be critical of her loved ones or feel that they can never do anything right.
Okay.
She's needy in a relationship. She need to feel love and acts and begs for can't control her emotions. Is over emotional. Over emotional, you know, tends to manipulate, afraid of loss and very attached, you know, over connects, over shares. Again, over emotional.
Yeah.
Desperate for love. You know, that's.
Wow.
Unhealthy femininity.
Wow. And what is the cause of these things? Right. Because we identify what they are. But then it's like, what's causing it.
Yeah. So so much, you know, again, trauma. Yeah, trauma, you know, and having lack thereof. Lack of feminine energy and lack of masculine energy to be that example.
Exactly. Also from a. The term is biological perspective. Right. I think you had mentioned this before. I think one of our previous shows we discussed. I think it was a show about the, you know, veganism and the whole thing. Thing. We talked about how there are certain things in our water.
Oh, atrazine.
Atrazine in the water, right.
Yes. And we cannot, we cannot ignore that.
Exactly right.
This is the biological war warfare that we talk about where, you know, but they say is, is beyond our control because they're putting it in our food sources.
Exactly right.
You know, and that's real. Like that's actually happening.
Exactly. So these things are in a food source that are, that are causing us to be. To increase estrogen levels. Right.
And this, this atrazine is, is very, very serious. You guys. Like, you know, they tested frogs, so when they tested frogs, they actually changed their genetics for frog, male to female.
Right. So it's. It's increasing estrogen.
Exactly.
In both species. In both. Do we call these genders now? What do you call. It's just. Okay, whatever.
Yeah.
I'm confused now. It's like his, hers, they buy. Yeah, but it's like, okay, these two.
Genetically modifying spectrums, right? Yeah.
So. And mostly it's estrogen. Right. So these things are boosting estrogen.
Estrogen.
I know soy has been considered one of those things that has some type of, you know, genetic gmo, genetically modified organisms like soy.
Right.
Have estrogen causing, you know, so it's.
Like, how do we combat that?
So. Exactly. So it's not only being caused by the fact that we're, we're missing some of these, you know, principles in our upbringing, but are also in our food. Right. Just the foods that you eat are also causing your imbalance, your hormonal imbalance of estrogen, of testosterone. Estrogen.
Right, right.
So we have to become aware of these things. Right. Because, you know, as we begin to evolve and become aware of who we are and how we're supposed to operate in this, you know, in this world, in this universe, we then have to be in tune and aware of how to properly operate in our divine principles. So we can really reach a sense of utopia.
Right, Right, Absolutely.
So this is mind boggling.
Yeah, it was very much so. Like, I heard someone recently, I'm gonna say someone, I'm not gonna, you know, name drop, but someone giving advice to women on how they look for a man. Right?
Oh, wow.
Yes. And the. They were giving.
Wow.
And they were telling women where you could go, you know, how to look for men and where to go to look for men. And they Gave like the five top places that you can go to to, you know, that you should go to look for men. Like the barbershop, the gym, the barber shop, Home Depot.
Like some women should go to the barbershop with men.
But this is a man, though. This is a man giving the. Giving women advice on how to look for men and where to look for men. But in my mind, I'm like, what?
Right.
That is terrible advice. First of all, what does a woman look like going hunting for a man? That is not feminine.
That's masculine.
That is masculine energy.
That's because we do.
That's what men do. Yeah, that's what men do. Women don't do that.
Yeah.
You know, so that's the thing you. You. It's all this learn stuff because people don't know. So you listening to all these different perceptions and perspectives, perspectives and ideologies, and people are adopted all kinds of things and just don't know what to believe. But I think our innate nature tells us what to do and what to be.
Exactly. So we have to tap back into that.
How do we tap it back into that, Armand? How do we do that?
You ready?
I'm ready.
All right. It's gonna cost y'. All. 49.99. Send me your email address and we'll.
Be back with you.
Right. And I'll send you. And I'll send you a link.
That's how they get you. Right.
Until you want to know more, enter your credit card info. You also take your bank details.
Go read my book.
Yeah, exactly. You know, actually I'm. Write a book.
Oh, God.
But yeah. So how do we tap back into that? I think it's Right.
And know. Know who to listen to.
Know yourself. What do you mean?
That's what I'm saying.
It's in you. It's within you.
Right? Absolutely.
If you're a man, you. You know what it is that you supposed to do as a man, Right?
Absolutely.
You know, it. It's there. Like, even the whole notion for me, I grew up seeing this, but my mother didn't work. Most of the women, my, you know, growing up didn't go to work. You know, the men went to work. My father went to work. That's how it was.
And the women took care of the home.
Yeah. They stay home, raised the children. There was no such thing as daycare and all these things. Right. Because the children were at home being raised by and nurtured by their mothers or aunties. And it was. And it wasn't just their Mothers, it was their aunties, their grandmothers. Like all the women. The women were at home chilling, you know, cooking, cleaning. Just like men. Men, men go to work and chill too. We'd be chilling at the water cooler. Conversations, you know, it's chilling because you got your, you're doing it with the people that you relate to, that are like minded, that similar, have similar energies. Like the fellas, we get together, can talk about sports at work and talk about all these things that are masculine. Right. We could talk about these things. So we're working, but we're chilling.
Okay.
Right. You know, a ditch digger, them ditch diggers be having the best conversations digging ditches, you know what I'm saying? Like, I see the game last night, man. You know what I'm saying?
That's what y' all be talking about.
Yeah. When we digging ditches, you know.
Okay. And the women migrate to the kitchen. Right, Exactly.
Yeah. Sitting there, you know, peeling the potatoes, you know what I'm saying? Talking about little badass Jojo from around the corner, you know what I'm saying? But yeah, in reality, we have to tap back into our innate nature. It's just, you know, being aware of who we are.
It's so much. It sounds so easy. Like, it sounds like that's an easy thing to do, but it's really not. Like, really, you, you gotta, you gotta tune out.
Yeah. That's what I'm saying.
You gotta tune out. You gotta sometimes. First of all, it's not gonna be on social media.
Yeah.
It's not gonna be on. On tv. It's not gonna be on the radio. It's not always going to be on the podcast. It's. You got to, you gotta meditate.
Yeah. That.
You gotta block out all distractions and really just tune in, tune out. To tune in. Right. And keep people around you who are trying to operate in the same way.
Agreed. Right.
Because that's very important too. Right.
Yeah. No, spending time, like I said, spending time with, you know, children should spend time around their fathers or uncles or other male, you know, masculine principles around them.
That's right.
And vice versa for women. They should be, you know, young girls should be around their mothers and aunties.
If there's no father figures, you know.
Exactly.
Because reach out to uncles.
It's a community thing. Right. It's like, you have the masculine and feminine, but even we, we complement each other.
Yes.
We balance each other, but we have to tap into that. Even when I'm beginning to, to, you know, I've shared this with You. I'm fascinated with relationships and marriages. Right. But I think one of the biggest deterrent to a successful marriage or relationship is the fact that you have people not operating in their proper roles.
Right, right, right.
Yes. It's difficult for sometimes, you know, a man, especially a black man, you know, to provide for his family in America. Yes, it's challenging. We are aware of that. And sometimes it leads to the woman having to work. Right. I know. For example, those. I heard this badass joke one time. It was like, what's the difference between a black man and a park bench? You've heard this before?
Yeah, I think so.
What's the answer?
I don't remember what's the answer, but I think I heard it.
A park bench can support a family of four.
Oh, wow.
Right?
It's like, damn right, a park bench can support a family of four.
That's what I'm saying. Right. But these are jokes out there about how difficult it is for a black man to support his family in America. But ultimately this black man should not be on his own though. Right?
Right.
This black man should have other men that either have made it, whether it's their uncles family, just close friends within the community that can help them get a job or help them support them or give them an opportunity, help them learn a skill or trade that will allow them to be able to support like this. The soul notion for me sometimes of the fact that we have to, you know, these two people get married and then move off to a little house by themselves and have to feed for themselves and the children that they bring forth is quite a challenging, you know, perspective for me because that puts you in such a strain and a challenging, isolated situation, isolation, where you now have to. You and your spouse or your partner have to figure out how to balance each other's energies because one person cannot provide for the collective. So then it forces both husband and wife to be masculine by going to work.
Right, right.
And then that causes, you know, discourse.
And I also think it's a mentality.
We got a question from the studio audience. We wanted to go back to comment you made about. You have to. You have to find the answers yourself within.
Correct.
So let's, let's talk about men that still can. Men or women that continue to use the excuse, yes, I. I grew up without a father or I grew up without a mom, or I didn't. I didn't see the real definition of love growing up. But you're a grown person. Can you address that?
Yeah, I mean, that's A reality. Right. People do grow up in those circumstances, but we can't deny that they still go to school. Right. They're still around people that demonstrate these principles. Right. Right. I think there's really no excuse around it because there still are people within. Whether it's you going to church, wherever it is that you're going. There's still that example somewhere. Even on. Even on tv. Right. You know, Cosby show or whatever it is, you know. Right. It's. And it's gone.
A lot of kids.
Right. You know, even though I don't watch TV anymore. But there's something. All I'm saying is we're aware of what it is.
Right?
Right. Because there's somebody in the family, somebody's there. There's. Whether it's. You know, even when you look at music. Right.
Right.
There's men typically, you know, rappers to rap about masculine stuff.
You know, you're either going to come up saying, okay, we did something right, or we did something wrong. Right. Like okay, I had everything, or okay, I didn't have that. I obviously was lacking a lot. So if you didn't have it, you're gonna.
As.
As you become an adult, you figure out, okay, how do I get there?
How do you get it?
Or how do I make sure that my children.
That's a good point.
Don't go without. You know, because sometimes you don't realize it until you get older. That you didn't have certain things.
Yeah.
You know, even if you had a mother and father in the house, you. You don't realize till you get older or see another example that they weren't operating in their divine.
Because you become self aware at one point. You become aware when you put another.
Conscious, you know, conscious. And it's like once you be with it, when they say, you know better, you do better.
Yes.
You know, once we're aware of these things and we have to do better. But once you become older and evolve, you know, you know that, okay, something wasn't right growing up.
Exactly. Right.
And then from there is when you start to.
It's kind of like knowing right from wrong. Right. It's like a lot of people say, oh, I grew up this and the other. But we all have that con. That's the thing. Thing. We have that conscience. Right. We all ultimately know what's right and what's wrong or cuz it's really what's loving and what's fearful.
Right.
Right. We can feel it. Everyone has an idea what that is. Yes. It may be some confusion There may be some noises around all of that, but it's a matter of tapping back into ourselves. Spending some quiet time alone to listen to yourself.
Now, some people grow up without lotion for their ankles.
Oh, man.
Who need lotion in front of me?
Oh, snap. Is, Is that, is that masculine? Is that masculine?
In olay. Is this a. We doing a.
Is that, Is that feminine or masculine? Right. Is there like putting on lotion? Right. Hey, is putting on lotion a feminine or masculine?
You trying to say I need some lotion. Wow, wow, wow. Right?
That is.
We're putting lotion on.
Is that. Yeah. Is that a feminine thing?
Listen, everybody gets ashy. Well, right. Some people say white people don't get ashy.
I don't know.
I don't know. If you got melanin, you get ashy.
Especially this time of year. Right. And that's just.
I don't think that's masculine nor feminine. You should moisturize. That's just hygiene. Right.
So I want to touch on some things.
You, you know this one right here, Right? Yeah, but like, like self care grooming, you know, and, and women, you know, like hyper, you know, feminine hygiene.
Yeah.
You know, some women didn't grow up learning how to properly, you know, clean themselves and, you know, wear a little fragrance and how to do your hair.
Yeah, because, like, I was called out for putting on lotion at one point in time when I was a teenager.
He was called out.
Yeah. Like my homeboy's, like, he put on lotion. Men don't put lotion on.
Oh, no.
It's female traits. Wow.
See, that's toxic masculinity.
So I stopped putting on lotion. Then my feet started cracking hurt.
Oh, once you start putting on lotion. I stopped.
I felt like, I felt some type of way.
I was like listening to other people, right?
No, So a lot of times. So you touched on, you know, toxic femininity and toxic masculinity, you know, so I'm gonna speak from it, from a male perspective. Like hyper masculinity.
Right, Right.
What I'm beginning to learn identify with hyper masculinity is that a lot of time as men, I think I've been, you know, I've been a product of this environment. We try to overcompensate for what we're lacking or our insecurities. So with hyper masculinity, like, we try to overly demonstrate how masculine we are. And we want to be the strongest, have the biggest muscles, have the biggest car. When you around your boys, whoever is the loudest. Right. Who could. Whoever can, you know, can raise their voice to the loudest and in argument, can, Can. Can sun other, you know, other men. Right. Can punk and, you know, can fight whatever. It's like there's all this aggression that has to be demonstrated to, to show that you're masculine. Right? Right. Because women are looking for this because they think that women want to see a masculine man. And a masculine man is a man that could fight, that could beat people up, that can, you know, that's overly confident, that is the loudest, is the strongest. All these things to show that you're.
You know, that you're superior.
But. But they're all really rooted in insecurity.
Yep, absolutely.
You're trying to compensate for something thing. Right. To me, a masculine man is confident in himself. Right. He's soft spoken. He doesn't have to even in an interaction with women. Right. A man does not have to raise his voice at his woman to get the point across.
Right?
Right, right. Like I said, I've been a victim of it because we are growing and evolving. But a man does not have to raise his voice to deal with this woman. Right. A confident man just, hey, babe, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, and then leave it as is. Right? That's confidence. You know, you. I'm. I'm at the gym, working out, I get out the shower, I'm putting on my lotion. I'm like, I don't care what y' all think. I'm gonna sit here, put my lotion on my feet, like I'm good. Right?
Right.
You know, if there's an argument somewhere, I'm like, cool. I'm like, I don't need to be, I don't need to win the argument. I don't have to be the loudest. I can just, you know, I control myself. I speak calmly with a clear voice. I'm respectful to women. I, you know, I open doors.
You know, and truth be told, women, a lot of women don't like that.
Anyway because they've been conditioned to. To believe that hyper masculinity is masculine.
Right?
Is masculine.
And that is, That's a misconception.
Right. And same thing with women, right? You don't have to have the, you know, or to be overly feminine. Like, just because you're sexualization of your body does not denote that you're feminine.
Absolutely.
Right. Because a lot of times women get caught up in thinking, oh, the more I show my skin or the more that I show my body, the more feminine I Am.
Right.
And it's, I think it's. These are things that we have to become aware of as we, you know, like I said, we all, you know, I've raised my voice at a woman before. I've, you know, I've been, I've raised my voice in arguments. I've done all these things, but it's beginning to recognize them. Right. As you are also partaking in your, in these behaviors like post snap. Why am I raising my voice?
Right.
Why do I feel like I need the biggest car with the biggest rims? Right. Why do I feel like, like right now, you know, like there's nothing wrong with walking. There's nothing wrong if you. And, and I think we find ourselves picking up poor behavior such as overspending or living beyond our means because we're trying to accomplish. For these. Yeah. For these insecurities that we think are supposed to, you know, look a certain way.
Right.
So I think becoming aware of that, I think is very important for us as of people to begin to evolve and ascend to a higher level of interacting with one another.
Absolutely, absolutely. Yeah. And not. And, and be. And, and give people grace. You know, we understand that people come from, you know, unhealthy backgrounds. You know, but having these conversations with people to bring light.
Yeah.
On these situations is what's, what's healthy and with how we begin to heal.
Exactly. And also I think there's another good point as well. I want to just touch on this before the producer just playing music. I think he's over there touching stuff like. Right. Think about this.
Don't bring no more lotion over here.
So when we talk about masculine and feminine in, in a relationship. Right. I believe that for a successful relationship to work, you have to have a, a dominant masculine and a dominant feminine. It can be 50, 60 or no. Where everybody is like somewhere in the middle. I think for, to me, to have a successful long term relationship, the masculine has to be masculine dominant. To me it's 80% and higher.
That's what they call divine. You have operating your divine feminine. Divine masculine.
The masculine has to be 80% and higher of masculine energy and the feminine has to be 80% or higher over feminine energy. At that point it's like the woman is very feminine. She's going to do her thing and the man is very masculine. He's going to do all things. Then there's a balance a lot of times. What's happening? I think one, one of, one of the main reasons as well. The divorce rates are so high. These people a lot of us or a lot of people in society? Well, I'm. I'm 80% or higher, so I don't know. So I'm going exclude myself. There's a lot of people that are 50, you know, 60. 40.
Right.
The 60 masculine. 40, you know, feminine. There is 60 feminine for. So it's like you can't work because you're. You're like the same person.
Right?
So there's gonna be confidence.
Everybody working everybody, you know, or you pay 50. 50.
You know, exactly.
Half the bills.
Exactly. Right.
Like, okay, well, if I'm gonna pay half the bills and.
Exactly.
Right. I'm running things too. You know, I gotta say, you're wearing.
You're wearing pants.
I'm wearing pants too.
So you got two pairs of pants in the house. Right, Right.
And it's toxic. It's very t. Toxic, at least.
The confusion. Right?
And we gotta. We gotta fix it, y'.
All.
We gotta. We gotta operate in our divine. You know, go get. Go get a. Go get a screening. Go get a Estrogen and testosterone.
That's actually deep, right?
Check your levels. It's. See if you have over.
You know what, Check your estrogen, testosterone levels. Right?
Then you should. It's very important.
So we got to take this back.
Yeah, I know.
To where I would. To where men walked around with clubs. You know what I'm saying? Like you say some woman with my what My dinner at.
