Wealth and it's Spiritual Essence... Ep 17

A recorded conversation (Conscious Intercourse) about money, investing, and community resilience blending practical financial advice with spiritual philosophy. Hosts and guest Keisha McGurn discuss tax-season behavior and saving, concerns about the petrodollar and a potential dollar decline (recommendations: hold some cash, consider crypto/barter), the need to circulate spending within Black communities to build generational wealth, partnering with Africa around natural-resource shifts, and the role of self-love, spirituality, and “laws” (giving/compensation) in creating and sustaining wealth.

Hey. Hey, what's up, y'?
All?
How y' all doing? How y' all doing out there?
Conscious Intercourse.
Yes. Yes.
One more game.
One more again. I am Ebony Emma Peel here with Armand Kadima.
Yes.
And we are Conscious Intercourse.
Yes. Let us consciously intertwine, you know, Right. And ascend on the spiritual journey.
Yes, yes, yes. And we have an awesome guest today, y'. All, an amazing show as well. We like to welcome our guest, Keisha McGurn.
Hello.
Hello, hello. Hey, Keisha.
How are you both doing?
We are great. Certified public accountants.
Yes.
Yes.
That is you. So as you. Money, give me something. We're gonna talk about money. Give us some insight on, you know, what to do with our money.
Yeah. Especially right now. It's tax season, right?
This is. This is the time. Dead in it.
Right, Right.
This is. This has got to be a good time.
Refund check time.
Very busy.
Very busy.
Refund check time.
Dealing with a lot of folks, you.
Know, this is time to cuddle season, this one. Everybody want to cuddle, right? Cuddle.
I'm the opposite. You the opposite this time. I want to uncuttle this time going.
On, you know, but you know, people.
You ain't got time.
I ain't got time for it.
Right?
You got.
You got business to take care of. But, you know, people want to cuddle up to get them. Get them tax refunds.
Exactly. Let me get some of that. Cuddle up to get some of that. When your check come in, right?
That's real, right?
You get the random calls from out the blue.
Mean it. I've seen it happen.
I bet. I bet. Like, hey, you want let me claim them kids? You ain't doing nothing with them.
What you doing?
All kind of mess, right?
Yes.
They c. And borrowing, man.
It's crazy around this time. It's crazy around this time. But, you know, we. We want to approach this and. And think about it from a more spiritual point, right? Because, of course, this is conscious intercourse. And we gotta. You know, when we get the money, what we got to do is sustain the money, right? Do the right thing with the money, whether it's going to be. Invest. Whether it's going to be safe. So hard to do, right?
It is.
Saving is hard to do, is it?
It is.
I've never tried it.
I don't believe that. I don't believe that.
Right.
Money is to be spent, man.
You can't take it with you, Right? Yeah.
You gotta live, right? I mean, but, you know, make it.
You gotta put a little bit of the Rainy day.
Allegedly.
But it's always raining.
Exactly, right?
It's always raining.
Yeah.
I mean, yeah.
What's some advice, Keisha? What do you think is the. Some of the goods, the best steps to saving?
Discipline is a big thing.
There you go.
Discipline is a big thing, but, you know, in terms of growing your money, sustaining it. I mean, I like your idea. You're not gonna. You know, you gotta spend. You got to be here. You're not gonna be here, you know, forever. So spend it. But if you're gonna spend it.
Yes.
In terms of sustaining and building.
Right.
Spend it with black people as much as possible. That. That's one of the things. Like, that's, like, my mantra. It's been forever. Like, yeah, if you're gonna spend it. If you're gonna spend it all and you're not gonna save it. Yeah. Put it back in the community. Because that. That. That's part of building us back up and we. Sustaining us.
We need that.
You know?
We need that. We need responsible people who. Gonna do the right thing with it, though, right?
Yeah.
Need responsible businesses to invest in. Right?
Responsible. What, you're saying I can't spend at the strip club?
What.
What you mean? We need responsible people?
This is what I'm talking about.
I'm just saying somebody got to pay the bills, too, right?
Oh, man. I'm just saying, hey, I ain't got nothing against the strip clubs.
You know, everybody that's within the community. Right.
Everybody got to make, you know, we all. We all got. We all got to get it. I'm just, you know, being responsible and, you know, investing wisely and generational wealth. Building that generational wealth, I think is important.
Yeah. Investing these days is especially looking at the stock market. I mean. I mean, I follow it pretty closely, and it kind of dipped today. Right. And then there was this thing with bank of America. I don't know if y' all were plugged into that. Bank of America people check their bank accounts, and money was missing. Negative balance.
No, it was riots today. I know.
Twitter was on fire. That's all I can say.
But so.
So money missing.
So how do you. Listen, well, how do you. So how do you save, right?
When. How do you entice people to save when, you know, you have this sort of thing going on?
Well, they say it's the end of the petrol dollar. You know, that's the times we're in right now.
That is exactly.
So we can't.
That is exactly the times that we're in.
Ignore that.
No, we Can't.
Hold on, hold on, hold on. Educate me a little bit. Come on.
Break it down.
The petrol dollar. What are we talking about?
Oh, so, okay, y'. All. Y' all drove it down my street. Come on. Here we go. So. So. So we know today, right, the dollar is the world reserve currency. Right.
Okay.
If you wanna. If you wanna. If you want to compete globally, you know, it's usually done in dollars. Why is it done in dollars? Because, number one, the main reason is because oil is. Is traded okay using the US Dollar. Yep. So that's the main reason. But lately. And it's been coming this way, but we're here now. We're like, there. It's changing the US The US Dollar as a reserve currency is. It's on its way out the door.
Exactly.
Wow.
It's on its way out the door. I always said that once, you know, Saudi Arabia and those. Those companies that run the oil trade, once they decide to not trading US dollars anymore, that's it. That's the Nel McCauf for the US dollar. And that has happened. They have already made arrangements to use the yuan and whatever the Russian currency is, okay. To. To start trading. That's already going on. So they're already slowly converting to some other source of currency to trade petrol. So it's.
It's almost. So how do we prepare for that?
Thought y' all was talking about petroleum jelly or something. We need some lip gloss. Same difference. Okay.
Yeah.
Just want to make sure.
How do regular people, you know, prepare for something like that?
So this is. This is just my take, and this is just what I'm doing. Okay. You know, I. I am invested in the stock market, but like I just said, the stock market sort of took a dip, and it's unstable right now anyway because of everything that's going on. Covid, and these issues with the US Dollar, Ukraine, you know, just all this global mess. And it's intentional, by the way.
We'll come back to that.
It's intentional. But, you know, I think, you know, once the dollar collapses and it's on its way, it, like, it can't go anywhere but down at this point because, you know, there's nothing left for them to do. They can't even raise interest rates fast enough to kind of, you know, get this thing under control. Right. So once it collapses, you know, I think people. A lot of people want to be caught off guard, especially Americans, because we just don't talk about it enough. We're not prepared for it. Enough. Enough. But it sounds Like a bad thing. But it's really, it's really a good thing because what's going to happen is it's going to level the playing field globally a little bit. Okay. So a lot of countries that can't really compete or trade with the US can, can really, you know, step up and, and be a part of it. But it's going to be a little painful at first, but, you know, on the other side, we're going to be better off for it. Now, what they're going to use and how they're going to do it, you know, I think we're gonna go to some sort of electronic digital dollar or currency or. Yeah, something like that. But how do we prepare? Save your money.
Save your money. Save your money.
Have dollars. Have dollars on hand. Have, have a, have a little stockpile of cash at home for when, you know bank of America steals all your money and, and you don't know why.
Why your account is. It's already happening.
It's already happening. Already happening.
They're already testing this thing out, giving us no explanation. That's the thing.
People were calling bank of America this morning and getting voicemail. So, yeah, yeah, it's already happening. So it's like.
And if you don't know, you don't know.
So, yeah, that's why we got to.
Have these conscious intercourses so we can explain and let the people, you know, make them aware of this. Yeah, we have to.
Yeah. Right. Have a little bit of extra cash on the side at home and just, I think it's going to get to a point where the US dollar is going to be effective only in the US For a little while. Like, as long as you're buying in the U.S. you know, you're gonna be fine. But if you have to spend money abroad. Yeah.
There's a lot of people starting to stop, you know, accepting cash.
Oh, yeah.
So if you save a bunch of cash at home, what good is it?
Well, they're gonna have to take cash. If they collapse the system like they're trying to do, they're gonna have to take cash for a little while.
Yeah.
Until they, you know, I don't know how long the hiccup is gonna last, but there's gonna be a hiccup. There will be a hiccup. That's.
Yeah.
So this pending recession is definitely coming.
We already in it.
We ending.
We're already in it. The pending recession.
Well, yeah, I mean, it still hasn't really hit yet. I mean, I know, you know, inflation has been, you Know, out of whack, the feds keep raising the rates. Right. So we, we see that there's evidence of something volatile.
Right.
Something wrong. But ultimately I don't think it's hit home yet, at least for me, it hasn't. Like how unsevier this could be, you know, if it continues down this path.
Yeah, right, yeah.
And so we talk about, you know, the dollar losing its, you know, reserve currency is strength, you know. Exactly. Right. So we're talking about, you know, figuring out ways, other ways. Right. To be able to sustain ourselves in the midst of whatever is pending, whatever, whatever may happen here. So as a people, like, how do we truly safeguard ourselves? Because yes, we could have dollars in our, in our safes at home, but if it's no, of no value or can't compete on a global scale, that really doesn't help us anymore.
I agree, I agree.
So it's just paper at that point, right?
It's just paper at that point that it's probably not going to get you very far.
Exactly.
I think we should. This is one of the things that's, like been in my back pocket. Like we're going to get, I think we're going to get back to like bartering.
Okay. That's my type of talk.
Yeah, I, I think that's going to be an option, like in, in, you know, in the interim until whatever this thing is works itself out. But yeah, Bitcoin, crypto.
Right?
Crypto.
People always talking about crypto, Crypto having.
Some of that, you know, because that's going to help you to, to trade globally. So. Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah. So with the whole bartering thing, it's going to really force people to work, you know, have something to borrow, to barter.
Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.
You know what I mean? Especially regular, everyday people, like, what do you, what do you do when the value of the dollar is gone? What do you, what do you do?
You know, you'll still get by.
You'll still get by.
You'll still get by.
Barely. You know, we still won't get our hair and nails done.
I don't care what's going on.
We're gonna figure it out. We're going to figure it out. But it's, it's just, it's just getting to the. We are forced to have to figure it out.
Absolutely, absolutely. And even with the industry, what you talk about hair, you know, a lot of things are being replaced by machines and robots and stuff, and it's like investing or coming up with businesses that you don't have to worry about that with, you know, like, services, actual services that can't be replaced by machines and robots. And it's very few to none. But I think that's important. That's the times we in, like, that's important. Like hair. Even though I've seen it.
Oh, wow.
I've seen the machines now doing hair. I've seen it on Tick Tock. You know, everything on tick.
Now hold on.
A machine doing a fade. What?
Doing a black man's hair.
Yo, I robot got a job.
On.
A black man's face. No BS it wasn't a black man. I doubt a black man gonna let a robot do his thing. But it's out there.
Our robot.
It's there. I'm like, really? So this is, this is some interesting time.
Yeah.
But we got to prepare for it. We got to talk about it. We gotta, you know, raise the awareness, you know, so we won't be out.
Here stuck and, and keep spending money amongst ourselves. I can't, I can't emphasize that enough. You know, y', all, y' all hear the numbers. We black folk, we spend a trillion dollars over consumers. A trillion dollars annually. And it doesn't really stay in our communities. More than 24 hours is less than 24 hour turnaround before it goes wherever it goes outside of our community. So that, I mean, we're going to be in a situation where we have to rely on us to help us. So if we're not putting our money back into our own communities, whether it's, you know, where you vacation, where you choose to eat lunch at, where you, you know, choose to, you know, who you bring in your house to do repairs and I mean, just, just really be being conscious about. Because, you know, more than likely a black person is going to hire another black person, you know, and, and invest in their community and the people around. So, yeah, I mean, yeah, we are going to be. End up being our own salvation. But we, we haven't quite figured that out yet.
Yeah, but why is that? Right? Why is it that. Yeah, well, why haven't we quite figured it out yet?
Right. It's intentional.
There you go.
Okay. Intentional. Right. So let's. We're back to that. Right. When we talk about something being intentional. Right. What exactly does that mean? Right. For those of us that are a little unaware or unconscious. Right. Because we are in America, we do understand the history of this nation. Right. Even the whole dollar itself, even money, the whole purpose of money, like the Federal Reserve and all this stuff. Right. Why is it Even important. Why is it necessary? Right. Where does money really have its value? Right. So these are things that sometimes as a people, we don't really fathom or comprehend what entails. What actually means to spend a dollar with one another. Right. Where's the value coming from? Like who. Who dictates how much your hair done is worth? Right. Who dictates how much a piece of bread should be cost?
Right.
Like, what does that come from?
Right.
Because inflation is a big.
Right. What does that even mean? Like, it's a. It's bread. Bread is the same for, you know, 400 years ago and it is today. It's the same. It's still bread, same bread. It still feels your belly the same way. Why is it. Why do you have to apply inflation to it? What does that even mean?
What's the right. And you're not buying it from the same people that used to buy it from 20, 30 years ago. Right. Now you have these major corporations making and churning and selling the bread when you used to go to this corner store.
Exactly.
Buy it from the little lady that baked it. Right. Bake it every morning for you. Fresh. Right there.
Got the pancakes on deck.
You know, you know, big corporate. Big corporate, you know, you know, the dollar has the.
Has.
It gets its value from us, the people who, who decide to spend the money on whatever it is that we're spending it on. That's right. But I think we forget that we are the ones who are in control and, and give things value. But, you know, we tend to turn our power over to this.
Exactly. Do we accept the value? Right. It's like we don't really dictate it. We just accept it for what.
We accept it. We go along with it because we.
Have no other options.
Right?
Right. We want this bread.
Well, we have options. We just don't. That's what they want you to think.
No, our options are limited.
Like when it's like, get our own farms.
How about that?
Yeah. I get what comes to food. Right?
Right.
Where we're gonna get your own electricity from, where we're gonna get our own cars from.
We have. We have to work. We have to work our way to that.
I'm with you. But in this moment in time, we also don't have those things. We really cannot unplug from the system because you can't.
Right.
We depend so much on their luxuries.
You can, but you can't.
You can. Right. But you could go off grid. Right. But then you got to figure out how to get electricity you got to figure out how to farm and grow your own food, right?
Yeah.
So the, a lot of these trades and skills we no longer have amongst our people. If we do have, they're limited. Right. So we got to understand that we really just cannot unplug from the system immediately. We could, yeah, we could still locate the money within ourselves, within our community, but we also have to begin creating businesses that actually provide these other services, these necessities.
That's true.
Home building companies, like we gotta. That's get our own, you know, construction companies. I know there's some out there. Right. But we got to get our own utility companies.
Industries that we don't dominate.
Exactly. Right. We got to be able to make our own cars. Imagine exist. Imagine a black car when that comes out. Like, yo, this is a black owned car.
Like, I, I agree. I'm wait. I am definitely waiting on that moment.
Who made the first. The first car?
George rochesteron Carver.
But everything has been taken from us. Everything has been taken from us. So we don't own anything. But we don't know how to.
You know, I think the more we invest in our own, the more we build up our own, right. The more we invest in our own, the more we can get to the point where we own stadiums, we own utility companies, we own. But if we don't put money back into black businesses so that the business owners can turn around and create more jobs, build more businesses here and there, then, you know. Right, yeah, right. We're gonna be stuck in this constant cycle of, you know, nothing. Nothingness. Nothingness indeed.
Right, exactly. Exactly.
And these companies that we're competing with or that we're talking about, they've had a 2, 300 here, 300 year hit start, right? We're trying to catch up. We're still trying to play catch up.
So. That's a good point. We're playing catch up. Right. But as part of us playing catch up, doesn't that also require for us to sell out at a certain point?
I mean, it happens.
But isn't that a must though?
Right?
So think about this, right? A lot of times in recent years, a lot of black companies have been scrutinized for selling out to what my. Let's talk about Mayel, right? Just this weekend or this last couple weeks, right?
Yeah.
They supposed to sell out, Right? So sold out to png, right?
Yep.
We.
I don't know. I try to look up the numbers. We don't know. It's an undisclosed amount of money, of course. Right, right. But are they really selling out though.
I guess time will tell. But png.
P and J, right?
They got, they got the every goddamn thing.
No, they do own everything, right?
Yeah.
But if they come to you and say, hey, I'm gonna give you a billion dollars for my L do, you say no. And be like, no, I'm not gonna take it because I'm black power. I'm gonna keep the money. I'm gonna keep it. Keep making, you know, 2 million a year, 3 million a year instead of cashing out.
Again, our own worth. I think that's why it's so easy for us to sell out.
I get that. But you're only making 2 million a year right now. Right? And they'll come here with a billion dollars. Right. You say, no, I'm gonna keep making my 2 million and forget your billionaire. A lot of people I'm like, is that selling out?
I don't think so. I mean, I don't think it's so, I mean, it depends.
That's what I'm saying.
Depends on what they do with that billion.
So, so, exactly. So it's the person, it's the black person or the minority that takes what they do with that billion dollars.
Right.
Because to me, I believe there has to be a wealth transfer. We cannot ignore that majority of wealth in this country is in certain hands. There's got to be a shift because they have it. Even though we, even when we circulate money within our community, there's still a substantial amount that's not available to us, that's not in our hands. And for us to really learn that there has to be some type of a transfer that has to occur at one point or another.
From who to who?
From like for example, from PNG to Myel.
Oh, in that, in that, I mean, yeah, right.
Yeah, from whomever.
I get it.
That's what I'm, that's what I'm simply saying is that sometimes we gotta, you know, we gotta see what's the big picture, the bigger picture of that. Okay, they make, they get this money from png, are they gonna go to the, to our people and then. And build these libraries and build these schools? That's going to help empower these other entrepreneurs.
That part.
Are they going to change the school system to be able to offer entrepreneurships classes to our children? Yeah, they're out there and help create, you know, incubators for black owned businesses.
Right.
To fund them? We don't know.
We have to do it.
No, no, we're talking about my yell the black people get the money from png. We suck. What are you doing with that money?
Right?
Are you gonna go out and buy your own island and you know, and party to, you know, to whenever. Are you going to take that money, actually give it back to the community and to our people?
Right?
So for me it's understanding, like there has to be a wealth transfer, right. That we have to be open to and not necessarily turn the blind eye to it and say, oh, you know, and start criticizing ourselves. Say, oh, you'll sell out this side and the other. I'm like, there has to. We are still so literally we are all sellouts because we're still in this country. No, we're still buying ourselves. Yo, what kind of car you drive? I, I, I'm in Atlanta. I see number Range Rovers, lexuses, you know, AMGs. Like black folks are driving all these cars. What do you mean? Right. Ferragamos. Right. Even if, even when they criticize us and insult, we still wearing this stuff.
Still wearing it.
Gucci. We're still, we it, we're still doing it.
What is it going to take?
We're still doing it. So we sell out every single day. You go to Kroger, you go to these restaurants, we're selling out every, literally we're selling out every day.
It's almost like until we have our own, you can't, I mean, until we have our own.
And how do.
You can't really create, right. You can't really create your own if you're still spinning it over here. But I mean, we have to start somewhere. And I think, I think the way you start is by constantly, consciously, as much as possible putting money back into your own community. Period, point blank, end of story. Myel didn't get to be Myel without us black people spending all the money that they spent on those products.
Exactly. The PNG was like, oh, okay, black folks gonna keep buying it, so we're gonna acquire you to get more black dollars. Right? But then my house being said, okay, all right, now we got, we've transferred, we've received some of this transfer. Let's go ahead and now invest into better products. Like, you know, maybe they could come up with a car company. Maybe they come out with whatever that we need. Company.
Right, right, right.
We have a comment.
Oh yeah.
It said, I ain't riding no black owned car will never be able to pass a mission. Wow, that's.
And that's the thing.
Look at that self hate right there. Self hate.
That's an interesting point because that's the thing. We don't even believe in ourselves.
Right.
We don't even believe and have enough confidence in ourselves to. To invest in ourselves. Right. Like, I hear a lot of people like, yeah, I'm not, I'm not supporting black business because it's not professional. Every time I go to a black company or something, it's just very unprofessional. So it's like, what do we do about that?
You know, that's, that's a major issue. That's the major issue. We got to do better, cuz we deal with that every day. Right?
Every day.
So you go to the restaurant, somebody got an attitude, you know, they, you know this. They stinking. Right?
You know, and with y' all in finance, you know, trusting black people to deal with your money. Oh, yeah, I'm sure that's tough. Or trusting people other than black people support you.
It is.
That got to be tough.
I'm really big on in my business, customer service, because I know how hard it is for a person to come in and, and, you know, sit in front of you and, and talk about their money, first of all, and then trust you to do the right. Their money. So, yeah, customer service is important, you know? You know, having the right soft skills, looking right, speaking right. I mean, it's a whole thing. Yeah, it's important. It's important. But we shouldn't, we shouldn't give up on black businesses that, you know, we go in, they're a mess, things aren't right. You know, I mean, I mean, find the manager, tap them on the shoulder, go back, go back again. Maybe that was just a, a one time thing, but don't give up on the black and black business. Black business owners, yes, we, we have to be, have to hold ourselves accountable as well.
Yes.
I'm on the shoulder. Like looks is. I came here because I want to support our own. But you can, you can use some help in these.
I've done it and they are appreciative. Women, especially women. I've done this with women. They're appreciative. They, they are thankful. Okay. Thank you for letting me. I went to your restaurant, the bathroom was girl.
Right?
I did not know. Thank you. Yeah. Yeah, right? Yeah.
Instead of, you know, giving bad reviews and like, I could give you a bad review, but I'm gonna talk to you, to you first, give you a chance to, to make it right. Yeah, but we, we gotta hold ourselves accountable, but we also got to help each other out. We do, like, stop being so hard on each other. Like we so hard on ourselves.
We are.
But is it the intention, it's the intention around it, right?
Yeah.
Is it, is it self hate?
It's, it's a lot.
Because I hear, I've heard a lot of that.
Right.
That the reason why we have so much, you know, challenges, animosity amongst each other is because of self hate.
Yeah.
That self hate that's been conditioned within us, that we've been. That has been taught onto us by, you know, the fabric of this society. Therefore, it manifests in these ways where we don't even care about. We open up a business, but we don't even care about presentation normally, care about customer service, because it's a reflection of how we truly feel about ourselves.
That's true.
Right?
That's true.
So it's a mentality thing then. Right. So really we gotta raise the awareness of who we are as a people and the cause of these issues. Right. And then begin to address them from the roots.
Right. And that brings us to the spirituality aspect of things.
Right.
Tapping into your spiritual self, first of all, knowing who you are, knowing what you're capable of, believing it. Because those vibrations, they, they, they, you know, it comes through.
It comes through whether you do it consciously or subconsciously. So if you're sub. If you're walking around, you know, subconsciously saying, you know, I'm not gonna make it, I'm not gonna do it. You know, I'm gonna go to. It's gonna be a bad day at work because I, you know, I hate my job. You know, it's gonna be a bad day at work and you're gonna keep hating your job.
Yeah.
But if, you know, so, so self love, self awareness.
Yes.
It's very important how what you think manifests itself. Yes. Whether you do it consciously or subconsciously. So why not be conscious about your thoughts? Why not be in control of your thoughts? Why not get up every day and say, okay, today is gonna be great, great. You know, I'm not gonna let anybody.
There you go, anybody.
Spoil my mood. So, yeah, it should be. Yeah.
And even when we talk about, when we talk about our fellow businesses, you know, we gotta give them speak those affirmations as well. You know, I'm gonna come in contact with a great black business today, and it's going to be great, you know, and they're going to give great customer service. And, you know, we gotta, we gotta do that.
Creature reality.
You create your reality reality. And when you're moving in spirit like that, I'm Telling you it's a whole different vibration.
It's a whole different vibration. And we need to get on those vibrations.
Right?
We definitely need to get on those vibrations. Self awareness all the time.
Self awareness is important.
It is.
And a lot of folks can't deal with theirselves, like, really just go in and just deal with yourself. We talked. You talked about, you know, you know, self love or self hate. Self hate, yes. I mean, it's some. It's embedded in us as. Just as Americans, period. Black Americans. I mean. Yeah.
Learn behavior.
Learned behavior through religion, trauma, you know, religion, the system, the laws. I mean, everything. Everything. The school books that, that. That we use to teach our children nothing about black history or. Or doesn't go beyond slavery. So, I mean, I remember, you know.
Growing up as a Christian in America for a good portion of that. There was a particular passage, verse that said that it's harder for rich man to go into heaven than it is for a camel to go through the eye of a needle. You ever heard of that?
I've heard that. Okay.
You know how hard it is for a camel to go through an eye of a needle? That's already. That's how hard it is for a rich man to get into heaven.
That's crazy.
This was ingrained. And this was scripture on Sunday in church.
So what does that say about riches? What does that say about acquiring riches?
That's what I'm saying.
This is what we were supposed to be a sin.
Hey, they said it's gonna be harder.
For you to get there.
A thing to acquire wealth, you know.
Yeah, evidently. Evidently. If it's gonna be that hard, like, damn, I don't even want.
I don't want.
I don't want burning hell. Right. It's gonna be that hard, a camel, A whole camel to go to a little. You know what I'm saying? Like a whole camel. Nah, you know, it didn't say, oh, you know, a little ruby. It didn't say, you know, a little piece of rock. And then say, you know, yeah, instead of camel. A whole camel.
Yeah, take that analogy. And then that. That ingrained, ingrained mentality.
Exactly.
And then you're walking around the average person thinking, I'll. I shouldn't be wealthy. I'm not worthy. I shouldn't be, because, you know, I don't. I want to go to heaven. So, you know, let me, you know, whatever. So. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's.
That's real in fear. You know, a lot of people live in fear.
Yeah.
And fear is the devil. Pure devil, you know, and it's, that's the devil within you that you battle every day.
It's a real thing.
It's not a real thing even that you're capable of it.
You know, fear of what hasn't happened. Right, right.
And probably not going to.
Probably not. And probably not going to happen. But we, you know, we recycle ourselves up to believe that, you know, this is going to happen, that's going to happen. And if you think about it long enough, guess what?
It's going to happen. And people always telling you you're not good enough or you should know, you can't do that. You're gonna, you, you're an accountant.
You're.
You're, you're a millionaire billionaire. No, I don't see it. You can't be that.
Exactly.
People believe it. You believe what people?
Self love. Self love.
You know, Self love. We, We, Yes.
It's these systems, these belief systems that we've inherited right. From our parents, grandparents, you know, as a whole culture of people. Right. Because one of the greatest I think transition in at least American history is when we went from physical bondage to the bondage of the mind.
Modern day slavery.
Because it's like, if I could get your mind.
Yeah.
Your body's gonna follow.
Right.
I don't need to shackle you down.
There you go.
Right?
There you go.
If I got your mind.
And it happens every day, you know, Every day.
So it's like this whole system has been created, the whole like we call it the Matrix, right?
Yeah.
The matrix has been created to capture your mind.
Yeah.
Once I have your mind, I could have you do whatever.
And it's happening every day. Like, why are we worried about Tory Lanez and Meg thee stallion. When Kanye and his new wife and Kanye and his new wife and.
And you know, you got a wife. I'm not even gonna go there.
Distraction. Right.
Because that's all it is. It's all a distraction.
And that's the thing. They put all this stuff distract us from what's really going on and what's really important. Nobody care about what Kanye doing.
Yeah.
We don't care. Make the stallion and we don't care. But our money and the value of the dollar, that's what we should be caring about.
They're not going to talk about that. They're not going to tell you the truth about that.
They're not going to tell you.
Exactly. And going back to that, you know, something, a point that I failed to mention earlier. So not. Not only Are we transitioning from the petrodollar? But the reason that we're transitioning away from the petrodollar or the reason the petrodollar is losing its value is because there's an energy shift. And. Well, there's a shift in the source of. Of energy for the future. So oil is no longer going to be the source of energy for the future. That is shifting towards natural resources. Right. Such as minerals. Especially. We. We shift into electric vehicles. Right, Exactly. Solar. Solar energy. Lithium battery energy. Right. That all comes from uranium and nuclear energy. Nuclear energy. So that shift is happening as well. That's also going to create a shift of wealth. Right. Because where do all of those. Where all those minerals and source of energy located?
Africa, baby. So we talked about earlier how when the dollar tanks.
Yes.
It's going to level the playing field.
Exactly.
It's like if we don't capitalize on that and start partnering because China. China's done. Right. China's not messing with us at.
Exactly. Guess where China's at?
Africa. They've been, they, they've been taking the minerals from Africa and then selling it to the US and whoever else. It's like at some point America is going to have to partner with the continent of Africa.
Exactly.
And. And partner up and lift each other up and, and keep this thing moving.
So it's time to go home, huh?
I don't think it's time to go home. It's time to build that bridge. Like really, really focus on building that bridge. That's kind of where we are.
Pan Africa has to come together in this time because as the shift is occurring, there will be a lot of billionaires made from this energy shift. Right.
I hope they black on the.
They got to be on the continent.
Oh, they're black.
But we have to make that happen.
Yes.
We have to inform our people to not be afraid to go to Africa because most black people are terrified to go to Africa.
Conditioning.
Right.
Yeah.
But other people are in Africa. Like, they vacation there, they go there, they love the food, they love our culture.
Building everybody else embraces.
Exactly. And making wealth off of going to the motherland except for us.
Right, Right.
So we got to really tap into who we are that we talked about earlier and also realize that it's time for us to. Because the world's become globalized. It's a global economy now. So we gotta learn that it's time to take these trips instead of going to Cancun and.
Yeah.
Make it intentional. You know, we, we.
Because Africa's Beautiful.
Yeah.
And that's the misconception.
Yeah.
We found ourselves about Bali and all these other places, but I'm like, yo, Tanzania. Just as beautiful, right? Joburg. Just as beautiful. You know, beautiful.
You know, this way, right, Right. Beautiful.
Ghana, Senegal. They're always just as beautiful. You know, Legos, right? We could go and enjoy some of the wondrous beauties of nature right, in Africa. And let's make it a business trip. Let's go ahead and connect with the people and learn different things, right? Learn how to tap into those mines and those minerals and those resources that are there that Tesla needs very much to be able to build.
You know, Exactly.
This electric, you know, shift is huge right now. These. The battery plants are popping up all over the place, and they all require minerals.
Get them beautiful stones. Like that's on your neck, you know?
You know, Exactly. You know, put this in your gas tank now.
Straight up, malachite.
This malachite. Malachi to your gas tank, right? Rose quartz, right?
Nice. Good energy. You know, I got mine in my bra. I'm not gonna pull it out. I'm not gonna put out on y'. All. You know, listen, I'm. I'm here for it. I am here.
I got that in my bra.
Pull out my little.
Oh, look at that.
My little lap is lazuli.
Look at that.
That's a beautiful, interesting place to put it.
That's why I keep all my stones.
Leave that one alone.
Keep them nice and warm.
You.
Segment right now.
It's time for segment right now. I'm getting distracted right now. That's right.
Go.
Leave home without. We need protection.
Y.
We got to be protected in these streets.
Yeah. You know, Absolutely. So we're about to, you know, pay some bills.
Okay.
Take a break, you know, Conscious intercourse.
And we'll be right back.
Vibrating high.
All right.
Welcome back, conscious people.
Yes, welcome back.
Welcome back, conscious intercourse. Let us intertwine, you know, and ascend.
Ascend, right.
I'm using all these big words.
Raise the vibrations.
Can I just say.
Right.
Can I just say, I, I, I. Like. I was just saying I'll watch some of yalls videos and listen to some of the. The podcast before I came. You both have, like, the perfect balance of feminine and masculine energy. Like, y'. All, Y' all do it very well. Like, y', all, y', all, it works. It works. What y' all giving is working, so. Yeah. Yeah, y' all do a good job. Y' all do a good job together. Yes. Yeah.
Appreciate that. Yeah. You know, Speaking of feminine and masculine energy, you know, it's essential, right. In anything.
Right, right. Balance. Yeah, yeah.
And we all have it in manifestation as well.
Right.
Because it takes both to even create life.
Life.
There you go.
The duality of things.
Indeed.
So if you're birthing life to anything, any venture, you need those two and.
You require both energies. Exactly, absolutely. So that's, yeah, no, thank you. That's, that's very profound that you, you know.
Yeah, it comes through. It shows. It comes through. Yeah, yeah.
Especially when we talk about finance and money and wealth.
Right.
You need that, you need that masculine and feminine energy. Cuz we have, we, we, we speak on masculine feminine energy often.
Yeah, we do.
Because sometime it's out of whack, sometime it's off balance in different aspects and you know, relationships and businesses and the world. In the world.
The world.
Yeah, yeah.
And balance is essential. Balance is essential. And, and when we talk about this, you know, being spiritual, that's part of it. When it comes to building wealth and sustaining wealth, you know, you need that, that, that, that masculine part. Like, okay, this has to be done. This is, we need order, but you also need that feminine part. Like, hold on, you know, we gotta, we gotta sustain, but we gotta also be. What's the word I'm looking for?
Nurture it.
Nurturing. Yeah, yeah, I need that nurturing aspect to things.
Yeah. You know, masculine is very focused, very logical, very, you know, focus driven.
Right.
Goal oriented. Whereas a feminine is kind of like, yo, I just, I'm here, you know, let me use my, you know, my love, my nurture to create and manifest, to beautify anything.
So that's what people resonate with, to add color.
Right?
Yeah.
Thing. Right?
Yeah.
I've decided this year to, to lean in real hard on the feminine side because I'm, I, I really, for me, I really for the most part naturally lean into my masculine energy. Especially being a businesswoman and doing the things that I've done over the last few years. Thank God for the masculine energy because I would have gotten eaten up out here in these streets. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. It's hard. It's hard being a woman. Yeah, it's even harder being a businesswoman and having to deal with, you know, largely male clientele, you know, coming in thinking they can, you know, shoot. No. And so having the buck up and be that. Yeah. So, so, so now I think this year, not think this year I'm really trying to lean into the feminine side. That whole, you know, compassion, creative, the nurturing, the, the Whole loving thing. So we'll see how this goes.
Yeah, great resolution. There you go. It's going to go great.
Oh, yeah, yeah. It is going great. It is going great. It's about balance, right? Like. Like we were just saying, you need both.
You need both.
You need both. Because I. I know. And I. And I, you know, you have to bring the feminine side out and the masculine side. I just have to know when to do both. But I know, like. Like I said, knowing what I do today, I wouldn't have made it this far. And we've been doing it at the level. At the level that I'm doing today for, like five years. One on five years, I would have made this far just being my feminine self. Oh, my God. I would have got eaten up, chewed up, kicked out. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
No, but we are in a patriarchal society, right?
Oh, that's shifting. We don't turn.
We didn't turn the corner.
Well, it shifted spiritually. I don't know.
We're not there physically yet, but we understand. So all I'm simply saying is, of course it's difficult.
It is.
As a feminine. It is in a patriarchal society.
It is.
Right. Because it's not intended. It wasn't created for.
That's right.
In this environment. So, yes, there's a shift. A lot of things are coming to the forefront.
Right.
Because I think that the patriarchy that we are under is actually a false example of masculinity. It's more hyper. It's more. It's so more hyper masculine.
There you go.
It's not true masculinity, because true masculinity would not exclude. Exactly. Would not exclude. Would not patronize.
Would not.
Would not, you know, discredit, offend, whatever you want to call it. Right.
The feminine, you better preach.
Exactly. It embraces the feminine, not degraded.
There you go.
Right. So we have to begin to truly see things what they are.
And when you mention religion, it's so. It's so very interesting because that's the origin.
Don't get. Don't get me started. Don't get me started. How. How are you gonna have a father, a son, and the Holy Ghost without a woman? Is the Holy Ghost a woman? Is the Holy Ghost the woman? Because if it ain't the woman, then that whole thing got to go. That whole theory got to go.
Wow. So we're gonna get into this.
Ebony started it. Ebony about it.
But that's a real thing. That's learned behavior. Like it is.
At least one of them came from the Virgin Mary, though, right? Virgin Mary, one of the three. So there's the woman. She gave birth to one of the three.
Right. When they say their prayers, they don't bring up the Virgin Mary. We talking about the Son, the Father, and the. Is the Holy Ghost a woman? Because if it's not, then what are we doing? Christians.
Wow.
Can somebody answer that?
Call it.
Wow.
Hey, that's it.
So this is the thing, right? Spirituality versus religion. No, I know this is not the topic of the conversation, but it almost feels like we need to, like, differentiate between the two. Like, what is spirituality and what is religion? Because a lot of times for most people, I think they're interchangeable.
Right.
Because we're saying spirituality here, but it's like, what is that? What does that mean? Because some people.
Some people associate it with religion.
Yeah.
Right. To me, and this is just me. This is the way I, you know, I explained in my head.
Yeah.
To me, for me, spirituality is. Spirituality is looking inside for what you.
Need.
And not looking outside. I think religion teaches you to look outside for everything. For everything.
Yeah. You're good.
Exactly.
What.
Keep it simple. I'm gonna try to keep it real simple and real clear. When. When I. When I'm in need and when I'm feeling like I'm not 100 or I'm tapping in, I'm. Look, I'm going inward to figure out, okay, what. Why am I out of balance? Why am I out of sync? I'm not trying to, you know, go. And, you know, obviously, spirituality, you have your. You have your deities that you pray to or your ancestors, but for the most part, you're looking in and. And working through your bloodline, ancestral, wise, or whatever. But. But most. For the most part, it's going inward and not looking outward for what you need.
We innately have that.
We all do.
We all do. And it's like we ignore it. We ignore it. And it's so hard for us to tap into that because we're conflicted by religion and what we've learned over the years. You know, what we. The way we should pray. You know, instead of understanding what meditation is, you know, like you said, look within and, you know, get in tune with your body.
Yeah.
And how you're connected to the universe.
Right.
That's very powerful. So from what. What the both of you just expounded upon, it's like, religion is God outside of you? Is God in heaven saying, okay, if you do this, you can go to heaven. If you do this, you can go to Hell.
And it's white.
And God. Exactly that part. Right. So he's dictating, right?
Yes.
We have a. In the audience.
They can hear me.
I'm about to pull out, Armand.
Oh, oh. You mentioned spirituality and religion.
Indeed.
She killed it and said spirituality is from the inside.
Correct. Why do we have to put a label on it?
Why? It just can't be. This is who I am.
No, I gotta label it.
No, you gotta label that. Spirituality or religion.
Yeah, yeah. No, no, it is us. Right. But we've been. The thing about is, we've been detached from that. Right. We've been conditioned otherwise. Because we grew up saying, okay, you are a person that God created. But then God has all these rules and these demands for you to either go to heaven or go to hell. There's a reward system, Right. If you do things my way, this way, this, this, that and the other, you go to heaven. If you do them this way, you go to hell. Right, Right. And it creates this fear mongering experience.
Like you have to be perfect.
Yes. But it also, if you create a life of fear.
Yeah.
Because now you're afraid to do anything, be human, because.
Right, to be human.
Exactly.
And to feel.
Because you're going to go to hell.
Because you're going to go to hell.
So the fear of going to hell becomes a driving force in how you live your life every single day.
Just that whole concept is weird. Like. Like I'm gonna die and go like anyway.
Yeah. So. So when we talk about wealth building, right.
How are we gonna tie this in? Let me see how good you are.
So going back to wealth building, right. Ultimately, right, it's our birthright to be wealthy.
Yeah, right. Absolutely. We didn't come here to suffer. No, no.
Right, yeah. You know, Christ himself says in my father's house there are many mentions full of gold and wealth. That's what he promised in heaven. But heaven is really now, right? Heaven and hell.
Heaven is not some obscure place that, that you.
It's so heavy.
It's what you create in the here and now.
So heaven is love and hell is fear. Right. Because you are tormented by fear every single day. When you living in poverty. When you living in poverty, you can't pay your bills, Right. When you, your children are hungry, Right. When you're stressed about, you know, going to work every day because you don't enjoy what you're doing, you are tormented every single day. That is hell.
That is hell.
That's all Christ was talking about.
And we're born into trauma because it's all so traumatized.
Exactly. So it's hell. You're born into hell. Now you have to find your way to heaven by tapping into yourself and seeking that truth that's within. Because even Christ himself said that I and the Father are one, right? Because he's essentially telling us that, see? And he said, just as you are, so am I right? Just so as I am, so are the right? So he's pretty much just telling us the whole time, I am just like y'. All. You are just like me. And everything that I've done, you should do even greater, right? He's. All these miracles he performed, he said, y' all should do even greater. But nobody teaches that, right? Because ultimately we have to be able to tap into our inherent.
God is within.
Exactly. God is within that inherent essence that's within us to be able to manifest the life that we desire.
And just imagine if everybody really believed that, right?
We'd be somewhere else. We'll be somewhere else right now.
Really believe that you are God, right? And you can. You can do all things.
And we can.
And we can. And we can.
That's the beauty.
We are God and we can do all things.
Exactly. So when we talk about building wealth now, right, From. Because, you know, there's been this whole. There's been a movement around black wealth, right? The black Wall street movement, right? We talk about it, right? It's.
I love it. I'm here for it.
It's everything. Everything is coming to light, right? We learn. We have information, we have access. We are very creative as a people, right? Everyone has some type of gift from the Creator, from the universe, from God, right? Now, each one of those gifts that we all possess can be manifested into wealth. Because if you look at everything that you. Everything that you touch and see, from the time you wake up and walk out your house until the time you go to bed, somebody's made a million dollars off.
I thought it started in somebody's goddamn head.
And then it made a million out of it. Everything. The doorknob, the shower curtain, the. The floor, the bed sheets, like everything somebody made a million dollars off of. And there's. As we expand as a universe, as we grow and ascend as people, there's more ideas, there's more thoughts. We just have to be able to tap into that and begin to manifest.
Yep.
And monetize our talents.
Absolutely right?
So that's what we have to learn as a people, that we have the power within us to create whatever we desire. Whatever.
Right.
You are God.
But, but, but, but when you're taught to. When you're, when you're subdued to living in fear, that kills your creativity.
Right.
Because you're so worried about, you know, what you don't have and surviving. It's hard for you to create.
Exactly. And that's what we're talking about. Intentional.
Yeah, that's exactly. Just like the news.
Yes.
The news is. It's intended for us to live in fear.
I came and watched news, I didn't watch things anymore.
Anxiety. We just don't want to go. No. We don't want to travel. We don't want to be around each other. Everybody want to be closed in and secluded in the house because that's fearful.
Creativity, part of their control mechanism.
Our creativity, especially black people. We, I mean, we are the trendsetters.
We are, we are it. We are food, fashion, music, everything.
That's why they want us to stay in fear.
Indeed. You know, you look at every commercial on TV now, it's hip hop music, right? Everything's around hip hop, right?
Yeah.
So that tells us how important we are to this world. The world needs us, right. And we be. We have to begin to realize that. So, so as we begin to realize how much the world needs us, we then have to learn to switch our state of minds, right. From a state of fear to a state of love. Right. Beginning with loving ourselves. Our self image. Right. Self image is everything. That's how we must start. If we see ourselves as these abundant, you know, creative gods and God and goddesses, kings and queens. Right. You know, affluent people, wealth generators. Right. We could begin to then create environments.
And not just see ourselves as it.
Be it, embody it. Right.
Speak that way, look that way, look at it.
Right.
Feel good, right?
Yeah.
Because you begin to do that, then you begin to attract these things to yourself. Right. If you feel good, you attract goodness to you.
That's right.
If you look good.
Right.
That's right.
You eat better.
That's right.
It's all about pouring back into ourselves, loving ourselves. Starting there. Right. Then once we start there, we then begin to see the gifts that we actually embody every single day. Just our, our creativity.
Right, Right.
That's where all wealth begins, is you.
Start changing your life and then the lives of the people around you.
Exactly.
Yeah.
Because that is the real wealth, Right? Right.
That is the real.
Right.
First of all, you can't be wealthy without somebody spending money on your product or your service.
Right?
Right. And, and who wants to be wealthy by themselves? Like, like it's no fun having money in the per. Like, what do you want to do?
Like, what's right?
Right.
And the person's next to you, everybody looking at you, trying to get there. How does that make sense?
Yeah, like, no, it doesn't make sense.
Gotta pull your people up.
Exactly.
Inspire. But we gotta. We gotta be the examples.
And not only that, but the most important, I think things that people, we. We overlook as a people. There are certain laws, natural laws, spiritual laws about generation, wealth generating wealth, or living a life of abundance. I will discuss too, because I think we're running short on time. I got. I'm being signaled over here that we're running short on time, but I want to share two. Right, Right. The law of giving and receiving. Right?
Preach.
So we ultimately have to learn that in order to receive wealth, we must give something in re to receive that in return. And a lot of times we have to give of ourselves, give of your love. Right. We gotta love one another. Right? Charity, however, that looks like anytime someone gives of themselves universally, there's a law that says you must receive just as much in return.
Good or bad.
Good or bad. Good or bad. We're talking about good, right? We're talking about wealth, right? Because we talk about wealth. Wealth is good, right?
Right.
So we got to give in order to receive wealth. Whether that's your service, you know, being a, you know, cpa. You give of your service in return, you receive, you know, financial compensation. If you create a product, you know, whether it's hair, whether whatever it is, you're giving of something to the universe to receive something in return. Right. Then the other one is the law of compensation. And this is a law that is unequivocally just right. You are compensated equal to the amount of effort you put out there. Right. It begins to the need of what you are able to offer, right? Whatever that you're offering, the need that there's out there in a society for it. Right. Also the ability to be able to perform that service or provide that thing. Right. At a high quality. Right. And also your ability to be irreplaceable. Right. So you as a human being, your ability to dictate how much wealth you receive is based on the need of what you have to offer, Right. If there's a need for this thing, that means you have the ability to provide this thing in return for some type of compensation.
We're gonna be okay on that. Note to be. We gonna be okay on that. Everybody. Everybody needs their money counted, but go ahead. I'm sorry. Go ahead.
Your ability to perform that. Yeah. And ability to either create or perform that service.
Yeah.
Is how you get compensated.
Yeah.
So those two things are things. We have to keep in mind that there are natural spiritual laws that exist to keep everything in balance.
Oh, yeah.
To ensure that you live the life that you deserve. Wealth is our birthright, and we should not let anybody else tell otherwise and take that away from us.
That's right.
That's who we are as a people.
And on that note, well said indeed. That's a great way to end the show.
Right? Hey, you are God.
Know that create your reality.
So.
So. Keisha Kea. Yes.
Giv KE Frey Planet.
Wow.
So this is my side hustle.
Okay.
This is my side hustle.
Look at it. We just talking about this gifts. Right.
Look at that.
Thank you. Tell us about. Freaky Planet is a business that I started my son during the pandemic. Okay. And it's really. It's really built around one of my hobbies, which is making natural, non toxic body products.
Oh.
And then. Yes. And then I incorporated my son's artistic skills. Like, he created my logo. He created. He created the shirts that are in your bag.
Okay.
Wow. Okay, this is beautiful. Wow. Thank you.
And then here's some. Some Platinum Financial services swag.
Oh, wow.
To share with your team here.
Thank you. Whatever. Look at that.
That's how I feel. That's how I feel.
You playing this?
Huh? Yeah.
