Spiritual Ascension and Higher Consciousness... Ep 10

Transcript of a Power 108.9 radio show segment titled “Conscious Intercourse” where hosts (SPEAKER A/B, plus Michael McFadden and Emoney) discuss energy management, spiritual ascension, and the idea of spiritual partnerships and soul ties. Conversation covers maintaining positive vibration, defining partnerships between souls as ‘equals’ for spiritual evolution, non-romantic soul ties (family, friends, mentors), communal/village living versus individualistic capitalist survival, child upbringing and conditioning, and choosing actions from love rather than fear. The episode includes sponsor/read ads (Joystick, Alvin Jamison mortgage) and audience/marketing plugs.

All right. That's right. All right.
What's up?
What's up? What's up, y'? All? You are tuned in the. Conscious intercourse.
Conscious intercourse.
Conscious intercourse on power 108 point.
I don't like how that sounds.
You like how that sounds?
Conscious intercourse.
Conscious intercourse.
Yes.
Let's get with it.
Let's intertwine ourselves.
Yes, yes, yes, yes.
Beautiful people out there. Conscious people. Awake people.
What's going on?
Spiritual beings.
You know, the evolving.
Indeed. Evolution. That word.
The living. The feeling, breathing.
Exactly. You know, in this moment, you know, being present. Being aware.
Yes.
Being conscious.
Yes.
And then having intercourse.
You know, exchange.
Energy exchange. Exactly.
Energy exchange. You know, exchange.
It's a beautiful thing, right?
It is a beautiful thing. And, you know, so many, you know, speaking of energy, you know, I. I saw something today, and it's like, you know, I don't. I don't match energy.
You don't match it.
Don't match energy. I saw. Somebody said they don't match energy.
What do they do with it?
Well, the consequences of matching energy. Think about that. Do you want to match energy or do you want to stay on a. You know, you want to maintain good energy because you don't always come in contact with good energy. You don't always want to match the energy in a room.
Yeah. You don't want to lower your vibration.
You don't want to lower your vibration.
Never vibrating lower than you are.
But it's so, so easy to do, you know, because energy is very contagious.
It is, right?
It's very contagious.
Being aware and not allowing people to suck your energy. Right.
Or suck you dry. Exactly.
Those energy vampires, right? Those parasites, you know, to drain your energy. Right.
But they out there, and they come in many forms.
Indeed, indeed. And I don't think it's intentional, though, right?
No.
These people are just vibrating, you know, low because of whatever circumstances they find.
Themselves in those moments.
In those moments.
Those moments. But you're not always vibrating high, you know?
Who, me?
You would like to be.
Talk about yourself now?
You always vibrating high.
Vibrate. Vibrate higher. We're always vibrating high. Yeah.
You know, I would. I'm gonna be truthful and say, you know, I. I aspire to. To vibrate high all the time, but I have my moment.
Indeed.
You know, I have my moments where sometime I just. I just need a minute. I would rather not be in the public, you know, I'd rather not be transmuting the energy that I have because I need to deal with some things, you know, and I think that's. That's being responsible, you know, knowing.
That's a great point.
Knowing that. I don't. I don't. Right now, I need to. I need to be by myself.
Okay.
I need to process these feelings, these emotions, because it's not feeling good. And I just want to be. I want to be in a better place. So I meditate or do whatever it is I need to do to get my energy right.
Yeah, no, that's. That's right. I mean, being aware, especially self aware. Right. I think it's. It's critical to a successful life. Be able to recognize where you are and to remove yourself, you know, from whatever environment you feel maybe, you know, unproductive to avoid toxicity. Right. And spreading the toxicity.
Absolutely.
To others or being the cause of, you know, decreasing someone's vibration, you know, so being self aware and, you know, consciously is so critical to a successful, you know, life and experience as well, you know, as a divine, celestial being.
Absolutely.
So that is very powerful that you. That you make, that you recognize that a true aware.
Yeah.
Of, you know, where you are.
Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. Because we all, you know, we want to spread joy, we want to spread love. We all know. We. We. We're dealing with a lot of things. So many people are dealing with so many things, and we want to be a. A source of enlightenment, you know?
Yes.
Want to be a source of. Of. Of good energy and positive vibes.
Inspiration, you know, like, you know, be a source of inspiration where you're operating in spirit you know.
Right.
Because that's really, you know, what's. I think the, the most critical experience of our, of our lives is to how can we help each other, you know, ascend spiritually even when we're going through things. Exactly. No, that's actually. That's the time.
That's the time.
That's the, that's the time absolutely to be, you know, that vessel of positivity, of, you know, of, you know, of good deeds, you know, you know, unselfish acts of love. Right.
Yeah.
Especially in those moments. And, you know, recognizing that is very important.
Yeah.
And, you know, which actually leads to, you know, to something that I've been, you know, contemplating for a while because, you know, I personally believe that, you know, we are here as, you know, collective human beings having a spiritual experience. But the most critical aspect of it is our ascension, our spiritual ascension.
Right.
Our spiritual elevation, Evolution.
Right.
Augmentation, whatever word you want to use it to essentially increase, you know, our spirituality and our experience. So we could, you know, create some type of a utopia, you know, actually, or heaven on earth.
Right, right.
And in order to do so. In order to do so, you have to be consciously aware of this experience, you know, of our incarnation of our, you know, our energy. Because we're all energy, you know, all forms.
Right.
So the term that, you know, is so mind boggling to me is the concept of a spiritual partnership. Right. I came across this concept in a book that I read maybe three, four years ago called the Seed of the Soul by an author named Gary Zukov. So, yeah, he. He discussed or he introduced me to the term of spiritual partnerships. And I was like, what is that? Right.
Many things.
Right.
Many, many things.
Correct. Because it's. It's about partnerships, whether it's romantic, whether it's business, whether it's, you know, family, you know, whether it's friendships, you know, we're all. Are engaged in some type of a partnership.
Right.
In life, you need that. Yeah. And when you think about a partnership, you think about people working collectively together.
For a common goal.
For common goal. Right. So what is that common goal? Right. For us as people, for us as spiritual beings, what is the common goal? Like, what are we all here to do?
To grow, you know, to evolve.
Yeah.
Consciously.
Me? Yeah.
You know, to evolve consciously. And, and to be happy, to enjoy, to enjoy our life experience heaven on earth.
Literally. Right.
To have that, to create that. Absolutely.
Because a lot of times we're taught that we have to wait until we die to experience heaven. Right. You know, we're taught, you know, most of us growing up, you know, in. I mean, most of us that at least most people I know either grew.
Up, you know, in a church.
Church, Christianity. And then at one point in time, they transitioned to either, you know, Islam or Hinduism. Buddhism. You know.
I grew up in. In. In Islam, and I've been taught to create heaven on earth.
Okay.
No.
Yes.
By the way I live, by the way I eat.
Yeah.
You know, so.
Yeah.
Yeah, That's. That's profound.
You know, it's very profound. I remember Tupac, one of my favorite artists, said one time in a song, he said, have you ever seen a crackhead? That's eternal fire. And I was like, well, okay, okay, Park. Like, you know what I'm saying? That's. That's eternal fire, right? You know?
Yeah. I always like to compare, you know, looking at a child, you know, and. And how innocent they are and how they love life.
Our children are the closest thing to.
God, you know, and just the. The. The. The fearlessness, the worry, you know, the worry that they don't have. Worryless.
Worryless, Right. Kuna matata. No worries, you know, means no worries.
Like trying to be childlike sometimes finding that child within is so hard. It's so, so hard. But it shouldn't be.
It shouldn't be.
But having, like you said, spiritual partnerships and people keeping people in your life to help you connect with those things.
Correct.
Keep you connected with your truth, where you aspire to be, you know?
Yeah. So the definition, you know, Gary gave a definition to, you know, spiritual partnerships. And. Let me. Let me rephrase it, because I'm not sure if I could, you know, repeat a verbatim how he described it, but it was something to the extent of a partnership between equals for the purpose of spiritual. Tongue twister. I'mma rephrase that. Recommence that. Right. He said the, you know, the. The partnerships between equals for the purpose of spiritual evolution.
Yes.
Something to that extent.
Yes.
That's. That's the gist of it.
That sound about right?
So it's like people coming together, you know, as equals. Because he was saying that unless you are equals, then you cannot engage in some type of a partnership because one person is either going to feel superior and the other person inferior. Right. Or there's going to be circumstances where people feel like they're bringing more to the equation than the other person. But. So he was saying that, you know, because we all have experiences, right? Whether it's, look, someone is taller, somebody shorter, somebody supposedly better. Looking somebody's this, that, and the other. There's always these things that we compare ourselves against.
Right.
That determine or make someone either superior or inferior.
Right.
So he was saying when he said the word equals, it's like the only way that people can be equal is if they enter the partnership as souls. Because from a soul's perspective, from the perspective of our souls, we are equal. There's no soul that's greater than the other. We're all souls.
Right, Right.
So looking at. From that perspective, it's like, wow, that's very deep and profound when you enter a partnership as equals, from the perspective of souls, because that's the only way we could be equal.
Only way.
Right.
Only way. Yeah, that's. That's profound. That's. So how do you. How do you recognize that? How do you recognize your equal? You're so equal.
Well, no, everybody's equal. It's releasing your ego. Right. Because ego is the thing that. That says that I'm better than you because I'm, you know.
Absolutely.
My darker skin is, you know, better than, you know, your lighter skin.
Right.
You know, my.
My education is better than education.
Exactly. My bank account is more than your bank account, you know. Know.
Right.
I've been to more trauma and adversity, so, you know, my journey is more relevant than yours because you've been, you know, you live. You've lived a plush life, you know, or vice versa. My plush life is better because, you know, I had to struggle with whatever. Right. It's like there's always these factors when we talk about these egotistical, These. These surface things, these things that we experience as, you know, as. As, you know, carnal beings or as these physical shells.
Right, Right.
These ego, you know, these avatars, you know, we want.
Right.
Those things, you know, we can measure, you know, in some type of way as being better or worse than the other. So therefore, you know, it kind of, you know, skews the ability for us to be equal. But when you enter this as a soul, from a soul to soul connection or soul to soul partnership, then there's. You could. You could be there with anybody.
Right.
There's no such thing as soul mates or anything. That nature. It's like any two souls can come together.
You don't believe that. You don't believe that. Such thing as soul mates. No, really?
I really don't. After learning this concept, even the whole notion of soul mates. Right. I remember growing up, it was like, okay, that's my soulmate. I'm like, I hear People say a lot of that, then they get married, and next thing you know, they hate each other. I'm like, so were y' all really soul mates?
But could it be possible to have multiple soul mates? Because a mate can be a mate in the moment, it may not be the mate in the next moment. Right.
Well, that's what I'm. That's what. Yeah, that's what this whole concept is about, is where soul mates are. You could be a soulmate with anybody.
This is your true.
Like, it's. It's really because if you enter the partnership ties.
Right.
Well, that becomes into another. So the soul ties. Right. So there's a lot of concepts out there about soul. Soul ties. Right. Typically, soul ties, from the traditional sense that I've ever heard of them is when you engage someone would engage with someone in a sexual act.
Really?
Typically, yeah. And you create a soul tie. Right. Because you've tied your souls. Right. That's what I've heard it most referred to, you know, soul ties in that regard. But there may be others. I mean, you please expound.
Well, I don't. I don't think it has to be, you know, specifically romantic.
Correct.
Connection.
But from a soul tie perspective.
I think from a soul tie perspective that a soul tie doesn't necessarily have to be a romantic connection. It can. It can. It can be spiritual.
Correct. But how do you make the title. That's what I'm saying. How do you tie those souls together?
It's energy.
So how do you. Exactly. So if it's a connection, it's a. It's an unbreakable bond outside of sexuality. Like, how else do you tie those? Because, you know, you understand from us sexual, you know, experience, you know, sacred energy, exchange, perspective. You understand how you create that soul tie with one another. How. How. How do you also create a soul tie in other environments? That's what I'm curious to ask you. Like, what. What does that look like other. From. From.
That looks like everything other than a sexual experience.
Examples.
Like I said, it could be energies, you know, you. You communicating about your likenesses.
Okay.
You know, the things that you have in common. You know, the things that. The things that you're passionate about.
Okay.
And having common passions and, you know.
It'S like how I had a roommate in college, right. Me and my roommate may sit there in the middle night and talk about all kinds of stuff that you don't tell nobody. Right? Right. So I could perhaps create a soul tie with that person because I've shared some of My deepest.
Right. Thoughts and desires, feelings and things. Right.
Okay.
And to feel. I feel like a soul tie is.
Is.
Is like. It's like home. It's like. It's like the feeling of home. Like you can trust this soul with your soul, with your thoughts, with your most intimate feelings. Right. Regardless of whom or what.
Correct.
You're connected with this person.
So like a parent and a child, for example. There's a soul tie there. Right.
Definitely.
Because, you know, as you become an adult, if for those. Because I've never actually experienced, you know, having an adult relationship with a parent. So can you expound more on that?
Because I know you've talked about parental soul tie. Yeah.
For example, because you. In a situation where we just discussed. Because typically, as parents, there has to be a soul tie.
There has to be a soul tie.
Right?
Absolutely.
That's probably the. The most innate soul tie.
Absolutely.
You know, from parent to child.
Absolutely, absolutely. And that's an unbreakable bond. But there are, you know, there are also many tainted, you know, maternal and paternal connections. That's not so soulful.
Yeah.
So it could really vary in many situations. But that is supposed to be the ultimate soul tie.
Correct.
You know, but like I said, it can come in many forms. It can be. It can be through a romantic partner, but it can be through a friend.
Yeah, I can see that.
It could be through a trusted friend. It could be through a relative. You know, like I said, it's just. I think it's. It's that comfort. It's that familiarity.
Okay. Like, you meet somebody and be like, you know what? I just.
Something about you.
Yeah. Like, it seems so familiar, like kindred spirits.
Like, man, something about me. I feel like I can talk to you.
Yeah.
Like, I've known you forever. You know, I just felt comfortable immediately in your presence. And.
Yes.
It's beyond us, you know, and you may not always know what it is, but you just going off of that.
Energy because you just feel it, Right. You just feel it as you. As you gaze in each other's, you know, windows or your soul. You kind of feel. You feel that thing, you know, that tingle. Tingle in your spine. You're like, ooh.
Or not the tingle.
We're just tingle. It's not. That's how you recognize it. If it don't tingle, it don't make sense.
Romantically. Yes.
No, even from a friendship. Like, for example, I had, you know, one of my. My closest friends from high school. It was like, when we met, it was like, you like, wuang. I like wuang, too. Like, it was a tingle, like. Oh, tingle like you like wuang. Like we in Georgia, you know what I'm saying? Him and I, from that point for. Have been friends, like, you know, lifelong friends. Look at that.
Look at that. That's. Then there you go.
Right? It's that. It's that. It's that little thing, you know, that sometimes we. Yes.
Yes, yes, yes. So, yeah. So many. So many different soul ties, I believe. Yes, yes. Jessica, she says shared interests, laughter, hobbies, and it can be a friendship. Absolutely. Yes, it can. It can. It can. You know, we, you know, people expect. Because your family or your blood, you know, that you're supposed to have a connection and you're supposed to be bound for life. But listen.
Yeah.
Blood can do you wrong. Blood don't always have good intentions, you know.
So true.
Just because they're blood don't mean that you're gonna have those bonds and those ties.
So true.
You know, you can be. You can be closer to a stranger.
Yeah. I mean, look at Cain and Abel. Right?
There you go.
Allegedly. Right.
But really, it's like we want to love. We want to love our. Our family, you know, we want to be close to our family. I do. I want to be close to my family.
Yes.
You know, my sisters. I have. I have four sisters. Two I grew up in the house with, and one. One I'm not too close with at all. Don't know too much about her. What's going on, I would like to know. But we just. We just didn't stay connected.
Yeah.
You know, for whatever reason, and. But I feel like when you. When you think about those things, when you're conscious of those things, because we can get caught up in our lives where we just don't think about everybody else. It happens, right?
It does happen.
Yes, it happens. But when you had those moments when they cross your mind, like, reach out.
Yeah. But then it's like, for me, it's going back to, why does that happen? Right.
Why do people cross your mind?
No, well, not necessarily that. For example, you know, I could go back to, you know, as a child. Right. When I moved to America. I remember it was something to the extent where there were. My mom has some associates or friends that she was dealing with. And I remember, you know, hearing a conversation about how, you know, one brother was going to help the other brother paint their house. But then it was like the one brother that paints houses was charging his brother a fee to help paint it, you know, to help paint his house. And to me that concept was like absurd. Like, you're gonna, why are you gonna pay your brother to paint your house? Like, I remember it like I was a child. I was 11. I was like, why are you paying your brother? Like, why are you charging your brother to paint, paint their house? Like it, because it was like, that should be just given. Like you just do that for your brother. Like, there's no, you shouldn't be, there shouldn't be no monetary exchange between family to do things.
I don't, I don't agree. I don't agree. Well, well, because.
Exactly. Because you're in America. Well, exactly, that's what I'm saying. I was coming from Africa where that concept was asinine.
Okay?
But in America that was the norm, right? So when you were raised in America under a certain type of, you know, institution or preconditioned way of living or way of looking at the world, that's how you view.
So I'm let you see that perception. I can see that point of view. But, but I also understand that people, you know, it's just like, like your friends, you know, when you, when you start a business, right. Your friends just assume that they, because, you know, you got a business, that they should get a discount. And your family think I should get a discount. I think it's the opposite.
You correct.
You, my family, you, my friend. You see how much work I put into this, Correct? You should be the main one wanting support me and support what I work for. You should not get it free. Now if I, if I just say, you know what? You, my friend, you might. I'm gonna go on and do that, then let me choose to do that.
Correct.
But even in family, no, you supposed to support your family because nine times out of 10, they doing it to make a living.
That's, that's the point exactly. In a capitalistic system, right? To where you have to make money, otherwise you starve.
And unfortunately, that's the world we live in.
Well, that's what I'm saying.
Yeah, right.
But for me, the whole, that way of operating was like absurd to me as an 11 year old child, right? Like that, that's your family.
Like, right.
You shouldn't be, you know, because it's like I didn't get the whole capitalistic, you know, way of living in this country that, you know, you have to make dollars, you know what I'm saying, To make sense, right? Because otherwise you'll be out on the street starving and nobody would, you know, care, care. Even, even your family but, like, you.
Also had the whole concept of the.
Village communal living to where we shared resources.
Exactly.
So it was no such.
So much here.
Exactly. You know, so when we talk about, you know, spiritual partnerships or, you know, creating a. A life of supporting one another. Right, right. We have to kind of revisit those concepts of communal living or villagers village living or, you know, or village lifestyle, because I think. I believe that's how we were intended to live life collectively, not so individualistically. To where it's like, okay, like, you were talking with your sisters. It's like, y' all grew up in the same household, right?
Well, two of us.
Well, two of us. Well, most of. Just most of us. Right. Typically, you grew up in the same household, and then it's like, at 18, you leave and somebody goes to college, somebody goes get their job, and then, you know, and then, you know, it's like you have, know, five, six, seven, ten years down the line. It's like, oh, this person now lives in Philly. This person lives in Atlanta. This person lives in California. Right. And it's like, you're on your own. You get married, you get your children. It's like, now it's you and this person, this little shack over here. And your survival is dependent on just the two of y'. All. And otherwise, you're out on the streets, and everybody's like that. So everybody's out for self.
Right, Right.
So it's like, hey, you need help with this house? You got to pay me. You need help with, so you got to pay me. It becomes this thing where it's like. It becomes a survivors like us. We become like, you know. What's the word? Notice the word I'm looking for. The evolution theory by survivors of the fittest. Survival.
Oh, yeah. Survival of the fittest.
It becomes a survivor type of. Exactly. Right.
Yeah.
And we find ourselves at odds with one another. So that's what we're saying. Even blood, even family find themselves at odds with one another because you're so concerned about my. My. My food, my utility bills, my apartment, my house.
And unfortunately, it's more so in the black community because a lot of other, you know, communities support each other. A lot of, you know, not other races support each other. We are the worst at it, unfortunately.
Why is that?
Because we were. Is. It was set up that way?
Are we the one? Because are we the ones the most detached from our true essence?
Absolutely.
Of who we are as people?
Absolutely. But it was like I said, it was. It was set up that way. We were. We were. We were kind of raised to be against each other, you know, to. To. To be like bar crabs in the barrel to, you know, get the scrap. So it's like, oh, this mine. I got it.
Because. Because you're in survival mode, right?
Survival mode.
You're hyenas. Right.
And it's sad. It's. It's sad. It's sad. But, you know, that's. That's more so in the black community.
Yeah. Or impoverished communities. Right. People that are poor. But like you said, you know, we see it more. You know, of course, you and I are considered, you know, black or of African descent.
Right.
You know, so it's like, we see it, you know, it's very prevalent, you know, amongst, you know, our people.
Yeah, yeah, it's sad. We got to do better, y'.
All.
We got to do better. Get back to the village.
Communal living, you know, spiritual partnerships. Spiritual village.
Yeah.

You remember that? You remember family ties?
Oh, man, can't you forget Urkel, man? Or Stephen?
That's family matters.
Okay. I don't know what family ties is.
Family. Ti Was a. Was a. Was. Was. Was a Caucasian family. Yeah. With Michael J. Fox.
Michael J. Fox. Okay. Yeah. That was before my time.
No, it wasn't.
So y. Y telling y age.
Yeah, that was a good one. Good, good comeback. Good comeback. But. Yeah.
But.
But who are we? You know, Who. Who are we? How do we stay true to ourselves with all these external energies and forces? You know, how. How do you stay grounded and disciplined in your spirituality when you have to. You have to.
You really want to go there?
Yeah.
Like, who are we?
Who are you?
Who am I?
Yes, who are you?
That is, are you.
Are you that easily altered?
Who was. Like when you asked, who am I? You know, what comes to me, what comes to mind is that who am I prior to my mom and dad telling me who I was? Who am I prior to the school system telling me who I was? Who am I prior to the church telling me who I was? Right. Who am I? By the TV show detailing who I am? Right. Or the song on the radio, who I am. Right. Or Exactly. You know, I'm saying, like, who am I? Who is that unaltered soul on preconditioning, Right? Because we come into the, you know, we talk about children, right? You know, you ever notice children typically know who they are? Like, they come into the world with the sense of. Of curiosity, right? Sense of fearlessness, courage. Right. A sense of, you know, not being caught up in emotions. Like, a child can go from crying to laughing, you know, in. In the same instance. Right, right. Whereas for us, it's like you get mad. You've been mad for days, like, hold on to it. Right?
Right. I don't like how they said it. You know what they said?
Looking for a reason to just stay mad, you know, for days and days and days now, Right. Even when something is funny, you, like, you choke on the side, but you're like, look, you know, you remember. It's like, let me, let me know.
How did they really mean it? I don't know if that was they trying to be funny. Like, yeah, we don't let it. Can't let it go.
Yeah, like who? I'm saying, like, who are we?
We harbor emotions.
It's like, like, who are we? Like, what choices would you make prior to other people's perspective or opinions of man, what you should and shouldn't do.
Man, you know, before responsibilities, you know, and. And duty and.
Yes.
People depending on you.
Right.
But that's life, right?
Is it?
That's life, is it? Absolutely.
Like, what do you mean?
It's life, you know, as the life is becoming a parent and experiencing having someone else depend on you for their livelihood and knowing that your. Your actions, you know, are going to affect someone else.
So why should you be solely responsible for your offsprings?
Well, why should you be.
Yeah. Solely responsible for your offsprings? Yes.
Well, that's what you're supposed to have, parents. So you mean, why are the parents supposed to be solely.
I'm just saying, like, you know, when you talk about life being life and, you know, you evolve, you grow in life, you go through, you know, you go through school, you go through, you know, college, and then you get married and you have children and, you know, you get a house with a white picket fence, and then, you know, you work and raise these children, you teach them to go to school and do the same thing that you did, and then you retire, and then you got to get a job at Walmart, you know, greeting people, you know what I'm saying?
Stop.
You know what I'm saying? And then you're dead. And it's like, that's life. And then you continue to cycle over and over again. You know, what is.
That's life, unfortunately, that's.
But why does it got to be unfortunate?
Well, the way you just expressed it, it, it sounds very unfortunate and boring.
And that's, that's what we've been excited. No, but that's what we've subscribed, you know, that's what we subscribe to.
Yeah, well.
Unconsciously, yeah, but it's like that's what has been given to us from the time we were children.
And that's the thing. We have to break those cycles. That's what I'm saying. We have to break those cycles and enjoy life and live.
But how do we. That's the thing.
It's like by having these conscious intercourses.
True. Right. But ultimately, how do you know who to listen to, what to listen to? Right.
That's a good question. Because you're, because there's always different influences, right?
Exactly. Always. How do you know what to listen.
To you that way?
Like, what do you want?
Would you. I think you got, you got to find what resonates with your soul. That's one thing. I just, I just feel like we are equipped with that thing, you know, it's just finding that, Finding that thing that resonates with your soul. It makes you at peace and happy.
Yeah.
You know, and it's going to be different for everybody. That's the thing.
It's gonna be different, but I think it's gonna be different. But there's also a lot of commonality as well.
I agree.
Right.
Because everybody want to be loved. Right. That's the.
Yeah, we can, you know, negate, you know, the desire to be love and to love as well. Not to be loved, but to also give love.
Absolutely.
You know, it's, it's all about consciousness, giving and receiving. So it's all about the intercourse of love.
Absolutely.
Absolutely. Love energy.
And I think that is the, that is the key, the core thing to everything. What you got to say. What's up?
Yes, yes, Mr. Producer.
I, I, I just want to, I just want to chime in what you got to say. Cuz, y' all over here tap dancing.
Let's. Let's get it. Let's break dance. Let's break dance.
You, you tried to, you know, say a little bit, but for some reason, you be, you be, you know, walking on eggshells when you talk.
She's not controversial. Yes.
You'd be walking on eggshells.
What, I mean, what what, what should I be saying?
Well, the, the thing is, like, listen to the conversation and we talk about what do we do? How do people live their life? One of the first comments you made was having kids, raising kids. It goes back to, well, who says having kids is a part of life?
Right.
Somebody taught you that, right?
Exactly. Yes.
Who, who said that? You know, in. In order to live life, I got to go to college.
Correct.
Who said that?
Exactly.
It doesn't. It doesn't. It's not going to change until our generation begins to tell the next generations that it's okay to test the waters.
Correct? Yes.
And I'm going to be real with you. Let's think about it. Kids now are being a lot freer about their sexuality and parents are being. Parents are being okay with it.
Correct.
Because you got to let them make that decision.
Exactly.
Parents are being more lenient now as it becomes to spirituality. Right. You were raised as a Christian. I was raised as a Christian. You had to go to church on Sunday. It had to get to a point to where. Where we talked about before. You know what? This ain't working for me. And guess what? For me to break that cycle, I'm not going to push that on my child.
Exactly.
He.
Make a decision, son. Whatever makes you a better person is cool with me. I'm not going to tell you what to do. Go test the waters. And if. And if. And you know what. And if being a Walmart greeter is gratifying and satisfying for you, guess what? Do that. Nobody said you had to make, you know, $800,000 a year to enjoy your life.
Nah.
But I think the thing is we have to stop looking at the. Looking at folks. I think where the problem happens, that is when we tell people or.
Or.
And uncon. Unconsciously telling people that that's not gonna work.
Or. Exactly.
That's wrong. Or you shouldn't do it that way.
Correct.
I think that's where we make the mistake at. That's all I wanted to say.
No, no, that's. That's very profound and I'm glad you shared that.
Yeah. And that's why what I meant by. It's different. It looks different for everybody because you. There is no one way. And just because something works for me, it may not work for the next person.
Correct. Or it may. Right?
It may. But you should not push your ideologies on someone else. Never do that.
Because those ideologies are really not yours either.
There you go.
Right?
There you go.
Right. You're pushing them and you Somebody taught you, you know, you, you don't bought to them, you know, you don't bought them, you know. Exactly. Yeah, exactly.
You know, and this is just a repeated cycle and it keeps happening. So it's like, how do we break it?
Because, because for me, ultimately, I feel like personally, if we all allowed ourselves to tap into that inner nature.
Yeah.
We will ultimately begin finding ourselves on similar paths, just unknowingly. Because we are all come from the same source.
Yeah.
Unless we have people that come from different sources. So that's another conversation. Right. We all come from the same source. We all ultimately know that that source is love, you know, so ultimately we're all going to be loving people or seeking it. Right.
Yeah.
Because a lot of things that we're conditioned to believe or on how to create life on the live a successful life typically negate love. It's always about self gratification. It's always about ego, me and ego and, you know, making sure I'm good, make sure. It's all about competition. Right. Someone being better than the other person or, you know, standing out or going after what you want. Like it's always this competition thing. Right. But if we tap into who we are as children. Right. And we're not conditioned, you know, really raising our children to tap into themselves.
Right.
I think is what education should be about, you know, allowing them to truly tap into that inner nature, that innate self when they come into this world.
And not who, who we want them to.
Exactly, exactly.
Not be like me, son, be like me, daughter. No, be who you are.
Exactly, yes. And for me, the best way that I'm able to do that for my children is I'm beginning to now tap into myself and be like, you know what? I'm not afraid to break the status quo. Right. You know, people, you know, say you're supposed to be married or you're supposed to be, you know, this, that and the other. I'm like, no, I want to choose what I want to be, you know, how I want to do it. Right, right. And, and essentially utilize my freedom to be who I want to be, what's going to make me happy. And it may be one thing today and tomorrow may be something else, but I want to be free to be able to go and whoever's around me that loves me should be able to, you know, be in alignment with that. And I in alignment with them as well as they go through life and figuring out what works for them, what may not work for them, you know, because you ultimately, you learn this thing. You've been doing this thing your whole life, and you get to the point where it's like, it's not making sense anymore.
And the thing is, it's okay. That's how we. That's. That's what life is. We're not going to have the answers. We got to try it and try it again. If that don't work, okay, try something else.
Exactly.
Until you find what works.
It's like, I have this cake, but I can't eat it because it says that I can't have my cake and eat it too.
Right?
So I'm sitting here like, so I'm serious, just looking at this cake every day like.
Like, what does that even mean? Like, what does that even mean?
Even mean get this cake every day and I can't eat it?
You know, Michael made a. A good point on the break about, you know, the words we use. And, you know, we said crab in a barrel. You know, a lot of people say that and been saying it for a while, but it's like, why are the crabs in the barrel in the first place? Right. Why do we keep repeating that? Why do we keep saying that? Because, you know, it's something that we done heard and it's been passed down and. But. But it's like, stop. We, we, we, we, we. We got to change our thought process and change the words we speak, speak, because they are powerful.
Correct.
I don't know if I ever told y' all this before, but when my son was younger, he's 25 now, when president. When then Senator Obama and Hillary were running for the Democratic nomination.
Correct.
Was that like 07.
Because he became president. 08.
Okay, so 607. So Malik was probably about 9 or 10.
Yes.
So when President Obama and Hillary were, you know, campaigning against each other, we're looking at history. Black man and a white woman doing something that we never saw before. We're excited about it. My 9, 10 year old is looking at like, what's the damn big deal? You see what I'm saying?
Exactly.
What's the big deal? Because those images that. That images of racism or separation or divide is. Is taught. And you talked about it when kids are born.
Exactly.
Right.
Kids are taught a. A language to speak.
Yes.
Kids don't come out knowing I'm gonna speak Spanish or French or English. Their parents teach them that. You know what I'm saying? And it's the same thing when we begin to separate ourselves.
Correct.
We're taught to separate ourselves. So if we're not, I'M not saying not to mention where you came from or knowing their history, but making it a big deal to where they begin to see separation and how divided we are. Like, we got to get to. To that point where kids don't see that. And then once again, we're beginning to see it now in this new era that we're living in.
Yeah, that's a very valid point because, you know, for me, it's. When you talk about separation, right. It's really rooted in one thing. Right. And is fear. No. Fear is the reason why we separate, you know?
Yeah.
Because if you think about love, Right. Because, you know, a lot of times we think that opposite of love is hate.
Right.
It's actually fear. Right?
Yes.
So it's either you're operating in fear or you're operating in love. Because you're operating in love. There is no separation.
Absolutely.
Right. Because it says that anything that separates can be of God. Right. Because we all come from God. So. So we cannot separate and claim that we are godly people.
Right. And it's okay to be different.
Yeah, it's okay to be different. Just don't separate.
Don't separate. Because we need different. That's what keeps this world going.
Correct.
If we were all the same, that would not even make sense. We need to be different of different, you know, minds and likenesses and, you.
Know, but it's also tapping into, you know, who we are. Because a lot of times, for example, you know, this is something that. That it's somewhat controversial, you know, when I've discussed it with people. But even look at who we are when we begin to feel like, urges from a sexual perspective. Most of us begin to feel those urges at young ages, you know, whether it's from 11, 12, 13, 14, 15. Right. But then we've been taught our whole lives that suppress it. That. That is wicked.
Not good.
That is a bad thing. Like naked, like all these things are bad. Right. So then you begin to suppress these innate, natural urges.
Right.
And then you want to deal with them. Exactly. And then you wonder why these children have mental health issues.
Yeah, right. It's very true.
Why there's anger issues. Right. People are just, you know, look at us, you know, you know how it is when you go, you don't get some for a long time. You know, you'd be about to explode on somebody. You know what I'm saying? You know, we want these children out here. You know, I remember it was. It was interesting, you know, Steve Harvey talking about, you know, years ago when Kings of Comedy. He was talking about, you know, he's like, when we grew up, you know, he was talking about his generation. It was all about love music, love songs, right? But it was like, this generation, they talk about, you know, look at me and I'm gonna shoot you and I'm a wetcha, you know what I'm saying? Damn, why you want to wet me, man? Like, you know what I'm saying?
Like, right?
It's like we walk around, you know, suppressing all kinds of stuff, you know, and next thing you know, we're either, you know, we're prescribed, you know, antidepressants, anti anxiety meds, we're drinking every day.
He's not supposed to cry.
Exactly, right? But it's like these. We. We are taught to negate this natural, to. To discontinue or to disconnect from our feelings and our nature, because that is. That's what communicates to me. That's our belief. That's how God actually communicates to us. Yeah, right. I know a lot of times we grew up in Christianity, you know, the Bible, and, you know, we watch these movies. It was like, Moses go to the bush. You know what I'm saying? It's like we. We watch these things. And a lot of times I go and create in the church, and I'm waiting for God to talk to me. I'm sitting here like, okay, God, tell me. Tell me something. What am I supposed to do today?
Right?
Like, I'm waiting for that voice out.
Of the burning bush, your voice.
But it doesn't come, right. But then I also have these little things on the inside where I get this, you know, like, voice that says, hey, don't go there. Don't do this, you know, saying. But it's like. But we're taught to disregard that and to read a book, right? Or to follow what the person with the microphone is saying. But deep down inside, something is saying, oh, go do this, go do that. Right?
Ignore your own instincts, exactly who you are.
So we've been conditioned to disconnect from who we. From, like, that thing that talks to us. I think we all. We all come with a comp. I think we all come with a compass. With a conscious compass. That's.
That's what that.
To me, when the Bible talks about Moses, Moses, Moses, no, he was listening to that thing that we all have. He wasn't any different from us. It was a little thing. So I give you the sun, the rain, the moon, the. The stars and the mountains. Ain't nobody Writing songs like that. No more. Young dudes nowadays, they like, I give you this dick.
Thanks, Michael.
Thanks.
That. Yeah, that's what we were saying. That's it.
Straight up, right? Because we've been disconnected emotionally. Like, we. We lack emotional intelligence.
We don't know how to elaborate on our emotions and expl.
You know, women talk a lot about. Women talk a lot about men being emotionally unavailable. But I'm like, we've been conditioned and taught to be unavailable.
Always somebody else trying to think. Somebody else on, say, you can't have cake.
I never heard that before. Okay.
Okay.
Yep. I never heard that before. Okay. Trey song straight up, supposed to do, like. I'm just saying, even with. You know, with that, right? It's like this go.
The new generation know. They. They. They understand that they are, you know, a lot.
A lot of the stuff doesn'. It don't.
And they calling us out on it, like, what are y' all talking about?
Even. Like, I'm gonna go there, right?
Okay.
Even with. When we talk about relationships, we hear a lot of songs, you know, contradicting themselves. You know, we got songs, they like, oh, this is my baby, it's my everything. And then the songs is like, yo, like, I. I got somebody, but I'm feeling you. You know what I'm saying? So why can't we do this too, right? So we've been conditioned that love only exists with one person to death to a spirit part. But where did that come from? Like, who said that that was how it was supposed to be done forever?
European way.
Is it Europe? I don't know what. It's your. No, but they don't do it, love. The wealthy Europeans don't do it.
Well, that. That was. That was definitely learned behavior. That was the European learned behavior. You know, we didn't come. We didn't come here. That's not how we were.
But not only that, but then I'm going there again. It's like, one of the things that I've been so, like, confounding to me is lately. Is that why. I think we touched on this on a previous episode. But why do the. Why do the sexual peaks of men and women so vastly different? Why do men reach their social peak in their 20s and women in their 40s?
I don't know.
Well, that doesn't make any sense. Why would God create people to not be sexually compatible and then they're supposed to be together for death to us part? Right?
That doesn't make any sense at eight different age points.
Yeah, well, yeah. Different age points. It's like, how does, how's that supposed to work?
It's just finding that compatibility because that, I mean, that may not always, you know, like we saying it doesn't work for everybody.
It doesn't.
Right. It's not one way, you know?
Yeah. So it's like, it's like learning how to tap into who we are. We're. We're communal people, right? We're supposed to share everything to a, to a.
To a degree, you know.
What's that, what's that degree? What's the degree? 78 degrees or like 98.6. We're communal people, right?
We are supporting. Supposed to share our resources. We are, we are supposed to support each other. We are supposed. We're supposed to, you know, come together for the common good.
Exactly, Exactly. I'm waiting for it too.
But, but what God has for me is for me, is it?
It's for me he gave.
You will know what that is. I'm not, it may not. I'm not necessarily talking about a partner, but everything, everything is not to be shared. And that can be according to.
Who decides that?
You decide.
No. Do you really? Okay, so does God play any factor into things that come in and out of our lives?
Absolutely. He plays a, you know, factor into everything.
So if God says that thing is no longer yours, what do you do?
You gotta let it go.
So how do you know to let it go?
You'll just know.
What if God brings you two things and says these are, you know, for you to experience right now, then that's.
For you to experience. Experience.
But society says you can't do that. Like, who do you. That's what I'm saying.
Like, that's the thing. You going to be a rebel in the cause? What you going to do, you know, you going to go against the grain?
Or how do you truly. How do you truly.
You have to be true to yourself.
How do you truly listen to God though, right?
You. You got to find that voice and you got to make sure you're not operating from a selfish or. Or ego.
Correct. Right.
Because. Because most people do, you know, when it's. When it's not selfish, when you're not operating from ego.
So ultimately it depends on you being able to listen of God and be able to decipher what is of God and what is of not. Right? So it becomes really a point of your decision making, has to be deciphered between love and fear. There you go. So when you come to make it, when you come to making the decision. Right, right. Are you making out of love or out of fear?
Right, absolutely.
So, you know, so if as a woman, if you love one man and then another man comes in, you started loving him as well, you have to make a decision.
Allegedly.
Yeah. So was that decision going to be based on love or fear?
It depends. It depends. It should not be on fear of.
Getting your ass whooped, a love of getting pleased. Right. Or whatever. It doesn't have to be.
It could be just fear of losing someone who loves you. Fear, you know? Know, you know, it could be.
Exactly. But it's still someone that's. But that's fear. That's a decision out of fear. So then it's like, yeah, you shouldn't fear losing people because God may want you, may want those people to be out of your life.
Yeah.
That's why these other opportunities are presenting themselves. So. But you have to be in tune with how God is talking to you.
You know, it may not mean that somebody has to be out of your life. It's just knowing that, you know, they serve a certain purpose as well.
And. And it's not a sexual thing. It could be. This person could be coming in to help. Yeah, it could be. This person can be coming to help you with building a business.
And I think that's the whole problem. That's the whole misconception, you know. You know, sometimes when it come to men and women.
Yeah.
You feel like, okay, because I have this connection with this man. It's supposed to be, you know, it's supposed to be sexual.
Correct.
Then we abuse those relationships. Somebody supposed to come in your life to maybe teach you something, to evolve.
Correct. So going back to our definition of spiritual partnerships, it's partnerships between equals for the purpose of spirit. Spiritual evolution. Evolution.
Absolutely.
So that spiritual evolution can come into a lot of forms. Right, Right. It could be to help you overcome your jealous nature. Right. Somebody can come into your man's life as a woman, may come into your man's life to help him grow his business or help him whatever. Right. Or help him get better, understand women, per se. Right. But that sense of jealousy, which is rooted in fear, causes challenges with him.
And causes you to lose the whole point of the, you know, the bigger picture of why you came together.
First place. Exactly. And vice versa. Your wife may meet a man that is supposed to, you know, do this, that and the other right. To show her something that she may come back and give you to help.
You, you know, or maybe something that ain't for you. It could be something that's just for her.
But that's exactly. Well, perhaps.
Right, that's what I'm saying. You never know.
Because when you talk about letting go and let God.
Let God.
God sometimes has plans that don't make sense.
We just got to get out our own way. We got to get out our own way and be open to life and love.
Because the biggest thing is, is when you're on your deathbed.
Right, right.
What's important, what are you going to regret? You know, And I don't want to be in a point where I'm regretting anything.
No, you don't, you don't.
I should have, would have, could have.
Right, right.
And being able to listen to your conscience, you know, that's. To me, that's God's voice. Your emotions, your feelings to me are super important because I think they dictate to you and communicate to you what paths to take.
Absolutely.
What decisions to make. So you just have to understand. Is a fear, is it love? I think that's really what we have to begin to really fully, you know, gravitate towards or conceptualize from a conscious.
Perspective and decipher where you're going to operate from.
Exactly.
You know, you want to operate from fear. Are you going to operate from love? Right.
I choose love. Every time.
Choose love, please. Choose love, people.
Choose.
Let's do better. Let's choose love. Let's stay connected with beautiful like minded people and continue to evolve.
Correct. You know, and thrive and grow. Because you know, only through a loving person can creativity reign supreme. Because you cannot be creative operating out of fear.
You cannot.
Fear stunts your creativity. Love is the source of all creations, all creativity. So for us to create the type of lives or heaven on earth, we have to choose love. That's the only way we're going to create it. And love sometimes means letting somebody go.
Yes. Letting someone go. Yes.
Because you know, it's not. That's not giving it up. That's actually unconditional love.
There you go. Absolutely.
So conscious intercourse.
Choose love, people.
We do it again and doing it.
Again and again and again. So yes, take that with y'.
All.
Choose love. Choose love. Don't operate from fear.
Indeed.
Continue to spread love.
Until next time.
Until next time.
The mercury retrograde is around the corner.
Keep that in mind.
Yeah. Be aware and conscious. Be aware. Communications.
Yes.
You know, just something to peep into. Just Google it.
Mercury retrograde and see you next time on conscious intercourse. R 108.9. Peace, y'.
All.
