An 18-year-old completes a 72-hour fast and reports autophagy, ketosis, reduced anxiety, and clearer thinking. He breaks it with wild-caught salmon and broccoli, argues constant eating keeps the body in perpetual growth mode, and says fasting forced him to question modern food culture's grip on his habits.

Uh, welcome to class everyone. So I'm gonna talk about my experience of a 72-hour fast, which to be honest, bro, it's life-changing. Like doing something that uncomfortable and like kind of like new to me because I never really did more than a day of fasting, but doing this, bro, 3 days of fasting, it changed my perspective on a lot of things. Okay, now First of all, we're gonna talk about the benefits, what I've learned, and everything. But what I want to tell you is the problem with not fasting— not, I'm not telling you to fast 24/7, but I'm saying the problem with always eating, always putting energy into your body, is your body is in a constant growth, in a constant growth sort of state. So you're always growing, okay? and you're never in a recession state, which is normal in nature. Think about it. The trees, the leaves of the trees kind of like, or let's say the food, right? Fruits in the winter, they die, and in the summer they go up, or plants in general. You gotta understand this. You need periods of recession too. Now the problem is there's way too much food supply nowadays. So people are always eating, and they're eating 3 meals a day with 3 snacks in between. But you need periods of growth, growth and recession, you need both. If we didn't have unlimited food supply, like grocery stores everywhere where there's all the foods you want, we would have been more in a recession state and growth state, like we would have been stable. For example, people go hunt, right? Our ancestors, sometimes they didn't eat for 72 hours, and that was the sort of recession state. And then the growth state was when they were eating. Now, in the winter, normally there's less food supply, so it means that you're gonna eat less. This is a recession state. And in the summer, you eat more because there's more food supply, and you pack up the weight and the energy, the fats, the calories in your body so you can have energy for the winter when you're gonna eat less. So that's one of the most important things. A lot of people, they have, for example, puberty at 8 years old, bro. Now people, like 100 years ago, people used to have like puberty like at like 18, bro. Now puberty is literally at 8 years old, 8 years old. That's way too young, okay? Like, people, we gotta understand, if we grow way too quickly, we're also gonna die way too quickly. Because think about it, people in the, the places where they live the longest, like the blue zones and everything, they actually, if you didn't know that, like, they actually are the smallest in terms of height. Why? Because they don't grow too fast. They grow normally, they grow as nature intended. Slow and steady, not just growing like 5 inches in just one month. I'm not saying if you're taller you're unhealthy, I'm just saying when you grow too quickly, that's a problem. So that's why I kind of like always disagreed with people in the medical sort of, like, you know, people that say you need to eat a lot because you're young and everything. I understand you need to grow, yeah, right? You probably need to eat more than an adult, but At the same time, we can understand the food supply is way too much for us to, to like realize that we don't need to eat that much. There's way too much food, so we eat too much and we rely on food for many things that I'm gonna talk about, about what I've learned. But how I broke my fast? I broke my fast with salmon and some steamed broccoli and cauliflower. Now, why salmon? Because it's a lean protein. To be honest, I didn't know how to break my fast. I just looked up on the internet. Usually I broke my fast with like fruits, but now it's in the winter and I'm not really eating fruits in the winter. They're not in season. But salmon is like a lean sort of meat— not meat, but you know, lean fish. Uh, yeah, it was like Icelandic wild-caught salmon. Then I steamed some broccoli with cauliflower, just that, and then maybe 30 minutes to an hour after, I couldn't really like stop eating because, you know, I wasn't really hungry, but at the same time was like, man, I feel like eating. I haven't eaten like in a while. But after eating the salmon with the steamed vegetables, I ate some again, some broccoli and cauliflower, but with tahini, pumpkin seeds, nutrients for the vitamin B's, you know, the thiamine, the everything, like the, uh, and I ate some, yeah, with some salt, olive oil, and I think some sesame seed oil. Yeah, maybe it's not the best thing, but I feel like, I feel like, I mean, I didn't feel too bloated or heavy. I just ate some vegetables and some salmon, bro. And what was crazy is like 30 minutes before Or like, no, literally at the 72-hour mark, I felt like I didn't want to eat. Maybe it was just a placebo because there was a salmon in front of me, but I was like, I don't even want to eat. Like, I can go on longer. I can go— I feel like I can go for many days. But, you know, literally it was 72 hours, 7, 8, and it was at that moment I was like, nah, I feel like I don't really feel like eating because Bro, this whole thing was like uncomfortable. Like, it was uncomfortable the first, like, pretty much all the days. It's like when you know you're hungry and you know you can't eat, that's like, you don't know what to do. If you know you can eat in like an hour or something, you're not gonna feel like, you know, uncomfortable and that and this, because you know you're gonna have food in like an hour. Short period of time, but when you know you're not gonna have food for like the next 2 days, the next 3 days, the next day, like you— it's like, bro, it becomes kind of boring because, you know, I'm not saying eating is sort of like an activity or something where it doesn't make you feel bored, but you know what, you have less energy. I had less energy, but at the same time I felt like it was my fault. I'm not— I don't think the fast made me have less energy. I think it was my fault because I decided just Literally stay on my chair and just read all day. Not all day, but I read for a pretty good amount of time. Also went outside for walks, but I didn't do as much as I normally do. Also like literally lay down in bed, which made me extremely lazy. I just lay down in bed and read some mangas, and I shouldn't have done that, but you know, I kind of dropped my habits so I could just really reflect, and that's one of the best benefits which I'm going to talk about. So let's talk about the benefits. Now, first benefits, autophagy. Now, what is autophagy? So basically, autophagy is when your immune system— basically, I'm not 100% sure, but I really know, like, when your immune system or basically your body decides to get rid of the dysfunctional or like the weak cells in your body, so only the strong one are remains. Now what does that mean? Your cells become stronger basically because you're gonna have only strong cells. Your dysfunctional cells, you know, the cells that don't really do anything good to your body, or the weak one, what that really doesn't really serve your body, they disappear with autophagy. That's why when you fast, you're in a recession state, which is so important because you got to get rid of those things. And then you can go back, get rid of those things, and then go back. You know what I mean? So autophagy has so many more, like there's so many more things to this, like makes your skin look better, it makes, it makes you remove waste from your body, toxins. Like, just look up autophagy, okay? It happens when you intermittent fast, but it really happens when you do like something like 72-hour fast. Also, better skin, less teeth. Now, one of the main reasons why I did this 72-hour fast was so I could see what will happen on my skin. My skin actually really got better, like, especially on the third day. But it kind of like— my skin kind of like sort of broke out after I ate. I don't know if it's normal. Maybe it's just— I don't know. I really don't know. But better skin plus teeth. Now, teeth I didn't know that was gonna happen. I just looked up, I just looked at my teeth, I was like, they got like whiter for no reason. I don't know why, but better skin plus teeth. Also, during this fast, like, since I was on an empty stomach like all day, you know, you pretty much go on this sort of like anti-survival state, okay? It's like you're so used to eating and feeling comfortable, but now you just not eating and you're going to bed hungry. It's like anti-survival, which pretty much does this autophagy, okay? Autophagy. So other benefits will be fat loss. Now I've lost like maybe 2 pounds, 3 pounds, but I'm gonna gain them back. But I didn't lose muscle. You gotta understand, you don't lose— you don't— you just don't lose muscle because it goes back to our It stimulates the growth hormone. What you gotta understand is when you don't, uh, when you don't eat, right, let's say your ancestor didn't eat, right? If you didn't eat, what would happen is you would literally, you would need energy so you can hunt for food or just find food. You will need muscles, you know, you will need the muscles in your you will need the energy in your muscles so you can really pretty much hunt for something. Imagine if you didn't eat for 3 days and you really need— like, no, let's say you didn't eat for 10 days and you really need food. Then you really think you're gonna be just weak and not have energy, and you're not gonna be able to, let's say, hunt this animal or something, or find plants, because you're just weak and don't have energy. So your body is, bro, your body is powerful. Like, our bodies is made, bro, it's powerful. Because when we, uh, when we do a fast, whether it's like intermittent fasting, anything, it stimulates the growth hormone, like I said, because you gotta preserve muscle if you wanted to find food, you know. You're not gonna just run for something or sprint for something, or I don't know, just walk for hours. If you, if you really like, like, you gotta understand, you're gonna stimulate the growth hormone, which is responsible for bone growth, muscle growth, preserving muscle mass, you know. And fasting is one of the best things in terms of trying to stimulate the growth hormone. Because I'm gonna say it again, you got— you need muscle if you want food, right? You cannot just be weak and have no energy if you were to earn food. Now, I didn't lose muscle. I didn't lose— I don't think I lost muscle. I like, I remember like years ago, like when I was fasting lifting, not years ago, but just recently, I always thought I was going to lose muscle, so I kind of made this placebo and see myself like I lost muscle whenever I was fasting. But it's not the reality. I was just, I was just not mindful of it because you just, you keep, you gotta understand you're in a ketosis state, so you're using fat fuel. You're losing fat, you're not losing muscle. If you were to lose muscle, that would mean because probably you were fasting for a lot of time, so you're your body needed maybe protein. But okay, I'm gonna say this: if you have high insulin level because you eat too frequently, you're not gonna be able to use fat fuel as easy. Let's say you eat like 6 times a day, right? You're not gonna be able to use fat fuel because your body's never using fat fuel. Like, your body's always using sugar and protein, so it can literally just, you know, So you gotta understand, when you eat frequently, you spike insulin, which everyone knows. But the thing is, insulin blocks fat burning, so you're never burning fat, so you're never in a ketosis state or burning ketones. When you sleep, you're burning fat. But if you eat just before sleep or eat like, really just eat like every time you can, then you're never gonna burn fat, and it's gonna be very hard for you to do 72-hour fast because you're gonna have high insulin level, which means you're not gonna be able to burn fat. But I'm gonna make another video on this. Now, another thing, no stress or anxiety or anything. I can't lie, like those days I've been like one of the most peaceful. I was just walking, I was just like, felt like righteous, I felt like enlightened. I literally felt like this for like, I'm not gonna say constantly, but I felt like for a good period of time I had no negative thoughts. Like, I don't know, I don't know why scientifically it's like this, but I literally had no negative thoughts. Maybe yes, I did like a bit, but compared to like normal days when, you know, you wake up and you don't feel like doing this and that, I didn't have negative thoughts as much. Like, literally, I was just like peaceful. I was literally peaceful. That's why, like, looking back at this experience, I'm— I think about doing it again, like, in the future, because it's just sort of like this moment where it's like an experience where you just— you can really lay back and just relax and just reflect on life. Now also, you build discipline, build willpower. I'm not gonna lie, bro, I was literally I didn't eat for 3 days, right? I was literally cooking. I was literally like, I was so bored, so I literally went to cook something for my mom. Like, literally, I didn't care. I really didn't care. I know it made it harder to fast because you literally have food in front of you. And the funniest thing is, one of the only things I was craving, like, because I'm not someone really crazy who's— I don't know why, but Maybe it's because of my diet or something, or my lifestyle, but I don't really crave food. I don't really crave sweets or anything. But if there's one thing I actually crave, it's salads, bro. It's actually salads. Maybe it's because of the olive oil or the salt, or I don't know what, but— or the seeds. But I was actually craving a salad the whole time. I was just thinking about like eating a salad. Like, I don't know, bro. I'm just built different. But you really build discipline with willpower because my mindset was like, time is gonna fly, but just don't eat. Like, time is gonna— it's gonna continue, so just don't eat, bro. Life continues, so just, just wait. Just wait. I know it's uncomfortable, but that's all. That's what I told myself. Like, it's gonna be uncomfortable, but when you're— you're gonna arrive at the 3-day mark or 72-hour mark at one time. So just why, why not wait for it? Like, that's how I felt. So I had to build willpower. I'm someone who loves building discipline, willpower. I think— I'm not gonna say I mastered it, but I think I've made a lot of progress. So yeah, you know, you sense the, the food in your house, you know, because you're— you sense— not, you know, you pretty much sense the, the food that is being cooked and everything, and you You gotta understand, in nature, if you were hungry, you didn't eat for a lot of days, your ancestors were hunting and they didn't eat for a lot of days, they were probably able to smell food way more so they could find food. And that's the same that happens with fast. So it's like, it makes you hungry, like you literally see, literally smell food and everything. So it definitely builds discipline and postural power just in 3 days, bro. It definitely does. Just don't try to go back to your old habits just after this. Try to build like a sort of like new lifestyle that is gonna make you way more better. Maybe a new diet, maybe, you know, you know, just different things that you can really sort of like continue. Because a lot of people, when they end up fasting for a long period of time, they just go— they just either go back to their old habits or they try a new sort of lifestyles So because they saw it benefited them. So I said stem cell growth hormone because you gotta preserve muscle if you want food, right? Ketosis. Uh, ketosis is basically when you're just burning fat. That's what happens. And when you're not always on sugar, when you're not always eating like 6 meals a day or 6 times a day, you are on ketosis. I'm not saying you should be on ketosis 24/7 and just fast and just eat fat. Because when you eat protein or sugar, that spikes insulin, so it can— so the cells can have like sugar and everything. But when you're fasting, you're in a ketosis state, which means you're just burning fat, burning ketones that get secreted to your liver. Now, in a ketosis state, you feel like when you don't just run off sugar 24/7 and have a lot of energy, when you're used to going into ketosis, well, it's— you're powerful, okay? You're powerful because if you're used to just burning fat as a fuel, you know, fasting, intermittent fasting, everything, you really like— like, if you have— if you can really be comfortable doing that, bro, you're powerful because you don't need sugar or protein or anything to have a lot of energy. So that's really powerful. Ketosis is powerful. There's many benefits to just being in a ketosis state. I'm not saying you should be in one 24/7. I still think like our ancestors and everything didn't eat just fats and everything. They still ate some carbs and things like that. But what you gotta understand is they didn't eat them like 5 times a day. They eat them like when they found them, which means maybe once, uh, once a day, maybe once every 5 days, maybe once every 3 days. Now Last benefit, reflecting time. Now I said it like I feel way more peaceful, no stress, no anxiety, less negative thoughts. Now reflecting time, I was literally like, I was literally just— what you gotta understand too is fasting boosts serotonin, which is made in your gut, which is like a— I'm not gonna get into serotonin, but it makes— it's the feel-good hormone which makes you feel happy, more calm, and everything. And fasting boosts this, I mean, makes serotonin. But reflecting time, bro, literally, like I said, I was just like, you didn't— you don't eat and you really just face sort of like you face your— not your demons, but you face like your shadow self, which means like you're literally facing, you know, other aspects of your life that you really don't really think about yourself, other aspects of yourself. I mean like that you really don't just always think about, or you just ignore. You really go deep into your thoughts because you're not stimulated by, you can say, dopamine or just food. You're not stimulated by those stimulation of food and everything. So you have reflecting time to think about things. One of the mistakes I've done, I was very bored, so I've read like a lot and I've went on my computer and everything. But on day 2, I didn't even touch my computer, or maybe for like 20 minutes or something. I didn't even touch my computer, I think. So you gotta understand, when you have reflecting time and you're not stim— when you have free time and you're not stimulated, that's how you find things about yourself. You find like your shadow self, you find everything. Just look those things up, but it's important. It's one of the things many people don't have because they're always on the phone, always eating, Like, we eat with our phone, we do everything. We don't even have time to just think. We don't even have time to just have thoughts. And one of my theory is a lot of people have thoughts in their heads, like they have just thoughts in their heads that just pop up and makes them anxious and stressed. But what I think my theory is, is because these people don't reflect on these thoughts, they don't have time to just just be looking at a wall and just think about, about these thoughts and gave them their attention. So it just pops when they're going to sleep, they're just like, oh, they start stressing about things because they didn't think about those things. We really got to face those things. We got to have a reflection time, and that is so important. Fasting really helps. I think just doing something like a dopamine detox, which means reducing your technology intake it's gonna help a lot, bro. Like, you need reflective time. I'm not saying you should be a monk and just think all day and stay in meditation, in a meditative state, but when we really need— like, it's gonna help us be less stressed, less anxious, because many people don't face their problems and then it just comes up to them and it makes them stressed and anxious out of nowhere. They're like, Why am I anxious? But bro, you literally spent all your day just listening to music, being on your phone when you eat, being on your phone on social media, going on your computer, playing video games. You did all those things. That's why, bro, you're gonna have thoughts that are just gonna pop up into your head because you didn't reflect. You didn't have reflection time. And it might be like the most underrated benefit. I don't care about the health benefits. If you were not just playing video games when you were fasting, Like, bro, I know it's hard and uncomfortable, but it's probably one of the best things you can do, bro. 100%. Now I want to talk about more about this, but I'm gonna make another video on this maybe. But what I've learned, food can be a drug. Actually, bro, no, it's not food can be a drug, it's food is a drug, bro. Food is a drug. That's how I feel. I know, I know, you know, we gotta eat and everything. I totally understand. But the way people use food, and even me, it's just as a drug. Because when I was fasting, I just realized, man, I cannot give up food. I know it's anti-survival and everything, but it's like, I don't want to give up food. I know I can't give up food for like 5 years, but I'm saying I don't want I don't want to give up food. And understand, I got rid of addictions and everything, but those addictions I got rid of and I don't want to go back to them. But food, I cannot do that. It feels like— I know, I know it sounds crazy and everything that, you know, I want to give up food or something, but that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying I don't want to have a relationship with food. That's one of Big, big, big reason why I don't wanna, I have done this fast because I wanna use food as my tool and not food as something to rely on emotionally or physically, mentally or something. Yeah, physically, yeah, but mentally and something, I don't want to rely on food for that. I want to use food if I'm hungry, if I need it. I don't want to be like, oh, I'm just thinking about food all day. I think about this good, good, like, you know, those recipes. And I don't want to think about food 24/7. It feels like a drug if it's like this. It actually is a drug. I think food is a drug. Now, processed food is definitely a drug. Sugar is definitely a drug. All those additives and everything, they're definitely a drug in my opinion. We really gotta think about it. When someone is obese, because he ate too much. I'm not saying any insults, but when someone is obese because they ate too much, what you gotta understand is he did that in a way to sort of like reduce stress. We laugh and we sort of like demonize people that do drugs, alcohol, and everything, but it's the same, bro. It's actually the same. Someone who is obese because they ate too much, it's just he tried to reduce the stress. He's trying to reduce anxiety and stress, so he hides it by eating. Now, someone who's taking drugs is the same motherfucking thing, okay? It's literally the same thing. So what you gotta understand is food— if you constantly indulge in food, you really gotta reflect on that. I really think food is a drug. I'm not saying you should go on a fast for like 15 days or something, but Food, food. I saw it, like someone said, it was some, someone really spiritual. He said, uh, his name is Samir Gardner, he said food is a drug. And I was like, yeah, maybe that's true because, well, just think about it. We— I don't want you to see food like a drug, but it's just accepted in the society as something normal. If you eat too much, you eat a lot and just eat McDonald's and fast food. But it's sad because we didn't live like this forever. We lived like this maybe for the past 50 years or something. Fast food came, sugar came, and everything. Now, food— I'm gonna say it one more time— food, I think, is a drug. Food, I think, is a drug. But I'm not saying you should not eat it. I'm not saying you should not eat it. I'm just saying you should really Strive to not have a relationship with food as if it was like your savior and something that will make you happy, because it won't. It won't. A lot of people tell me like— not a lot of people, but people tell me like, yeah, you should, you should, you know, eat some ice cream, and you know, it's— don't just, you know, make yourself deprived and everything. I completely understand, but at the same time, I look at it like 50 years ago, I wouldn't even be able to eat ice cream. What will my sort of like happiness rely on? What would my emotions and my feelings of being deprived rely on? Like our ancestors, do they need instant gratification from food to be happy? No. But I know it's something hard, and I'm not gonna keep continuing continue talking about this, but look, another thing I learned, it's uncomfortable. Nah, bro, that's normal. It's definitely uncomfortable because what you gotta understand is you're not eating, and for me it was new, okay? For me it was not, I fast a lot. I do, sometimes I do OMAD, I eat 2 meals a day in like a 6-hour window. So I fast for 18 hours a day, 18 to 19 hours a day. But, you know, I do— I also do Ramadan, which, you know, you're fasting pretty much dry, no water, no food. But bro, it was still very uncomfortable because you're constantly hungry. But when you really, like, you don't— you really feel like you don't— you want to eat and you don't want to— you want to go out of the state of being uncomfortable. But when you face off nothing, you're like— and you know, the 3 days finish, you You're like, bro, it feels good. It feels good. It feels like a reset. Literally feels like a reset. I definitely think someone needs to fast at least once in his life because that's an experience. Now, the reason why I did it at 18— I'm not trying to brag by saying I'm 18, but I was always like, yeah, I'm gonna do it like more when I'm gonna be an adult. But I was like, well, I'm tired of just waiting. Let me just do it. Like, it's gonna be 3 days. It's just time is gonna fly by anyway. So let's say 4 days have passed, and in those 4 days I could have just fasted. Not 4 days, but 3 days. If, if let's say I start my fast— I started my fast back Monday, well, now we're like Thursday. No, we're— I don't know. Yeah, we're Tuesday now. If I started my fast Monday and it ended at Thursday, like, my fast would have really been finished. Like, all the pain, everything will be gone. But if you don't do it, then the pain is still like, maybe in the future. But pain is like, this type of pain, bro, life-changing. It makes you look at hunger different. Like, you literally— another thing is you experience real hunger. You experience like people What you gotta understand, a lot of people nowadays are always hungry. I don't, at first I was like, how are people like always so hungry? I'm someone who maybe has a slow metabolism, but I was like, how are people so hungry? They're always eating and they're so hungry. Now it goes back to not eating raw foods, just not eating raw foods. But if you stop eating you know, those processed foods and those foods that are high in sugar and the glycemic index. Now you're gonna be able to sustain your hunger for longer. You're gonna be able to sort of not eat for longer. But when you're used to that, like me, and you go on a longer fast, you— because when you eat whole foods, you don't even feel that hungry. Like, I never— I can go I do omad every day, I don't feel that hungry. But when you fast for more than a day, bro, you start experiencing, experiencing like real hunger. People that live in poverty, people that don't have food, people that aren't, you know, really don't have food, you experience and you understand them because it feels uncomfortable. But you know, you can get used to it. That's one of the things. But you actually experience real hunger, which is something that a lot of people don't have nowadays. And you know, we don't like you to be like, oh, I want to experience hunger. But to be honest, bro, I know it's uncomfortable and it's just not just pain, but you know, it's kind of like there's a good amount of pain, but we, I think we gotta get back used to nature and really experience what is hunger and getting used to it, okay? Because not being angry is like— it's like not being— it's not experiencing real anger. It's like you're just missing out, like, on nature. It's like you didn't do something that nature intended us to do. Because there's so many benefits with fasting when you're experiencing real hunger. I'm not saying you should go for 40 days or something, but when you're just fasting for, let's say, a couple of days, like, there's so many benefits. Nature, like, nature is nature, bro. Nature is powerful. Now, last thing, food is marketing. Now, okay, I've went to the grocery store when I was fasting. I was just looking at food, like, I was in the organic section because that's where I always go in this, like, a normal grocery store or something. And, you know, I seen all those food labels, all those foods, and And even if they were organic, healthy, and everything, I was like, man, like, food is marketing. We don't even— food is just marketing. It's not— they're using it as a tool to make money. I'm not— I'm someone who respects entrepreneurs and people that make money, even though if it's bad or anything, I still respect entrepreneurs for, you know, making money using opportunities. But bro, food is not like— we— I seen all those things like coconut chips. I like— I love coconut, but no, I'm not demonizing coconut. But all those foods like chocolate with this, bars, you know, all those foods. And I was like, bro, like, like, they're just trying to sell us something. I don't even— nature, you don't need those things. What I mean in nature, I mean like in general. Like if we were to live without technology and modern conventions and man-made things, we don't need those things. We don't need chocolate bars, we don't need sugar, we don't need bread. Like we don't need all those things made with so many different things and so many ingredients just so it can taste good and stimulates your brain. We don't need those, we don't need those foods. Yeah, you can eat them, but we don't actually need. And it's so— they make it so like sort of like tempting to just eat them and just buy them. And we lose so much money. We lose— when we lose money, that means we lose time because we work for money. And you know, when you work, you just use your time basically. But food is definitely marketing. We say 'You need to eat 5, breakfast is the most important meal of the day.' Hell the fuck no, because how is breakfast the most important meal of the day? If I was to wake up in nature and just living in a forest, right? Food wouldn't be just in my hands or in the refrigerator next to me, bro. I would go up and search for food all day long, not literally just eat. What's in front of me. Yeah, maybe if you preserve things with salt or something, I don't know. But we gotta understand, food, food, food is marketing, and they've done a good job at that. And many people still believe we need to eat 5-6 meals a day. Many people still believe we gotta eat, you know, breakfast is the most important meal of the day and you need it. So you You can have energy, but you gotta ask yourself this question. If you have those beliefs, just ask yourself this question. I'm not saying you have the wrong beliefs. I'm someone who's open-minded. Maybe it's the truth, maybe it's not the truth. But when you really just think about it, where does your belief come from? Where does your belief come from? I know it doesn't come— I don't— I know I'm talking about fasting, but where does your belief come from? If you Why do you believe like this? If your answer is you don't know, or maybe because everyone says it, then that means that's not your belief, bro. That's not your belief. If you were to live in a forest, you wouldn't even know about breakfast. You won't even know about lunch. Wouldn't even know about recipes. Like, you wouldn't know about those things, but you A lot of people got programmed and they think it's the truth what they've been told. They will heartily, like 100%, think breakfast is the most important meal of the day. You need to eat to keep your energy up and your blood sugar so it doesn't crash. Bro, we— it's not— you don't even know why you believe like this. You just believe like this because a doctor told you. But what I always try to see is the scientific reason. You know, if someone says to me like milk is bad, dairy product is bad, I'm like, in the past I would be like, yeah, that's true. But looking back at the past, I didn't even know why. Oh yeah, because maybe milk causes osteoporosis and it's not good for your bones, but You gotta look scientifically why it does that, not just because someone told you, someone told you that milk is bad. Now I look at it, okay, milk is sugar and there's the casein and casein does that to the body scientifically. I'm not gonna talk about milk, but it does that and this to the body. That's, your belief is so important, so don't get fooled by marketing. No, you have food bar market and you see all those chips, all those foods. It's sad, but it made us so addicted to food. It made us addicted to food that we just worship food nowadays. We literally worship food and we make ourselves like— we make— we trick ourselves to believe that we need those things to survive. You know, we, we need to eat chips so we can feel better. We need to you know, sometimes eat some sugar so I don't feel deprived or something. But you just gotta question your beliefs because so many of your beliefs just comes from other people. They're not your beliefs, okay? They're not you who made up those beliefs. You did not create those beliefs. Many of your beliefs are just from other people. Now, bro, this is it for the 72-hour fast video. I might make a part 2, but Really, bro, this is life-changing. Just look at what I've learned, bro. Just look at what I've learned. I don't care benefits-wise. Yes, I wanted, I wanted to see what will be the benefits, but it was more like so I could experience what was hunger and what is food. Because I'm not someone who— I'm someone who doesn't want a relationship with food in a certain sense. I don't want to just eat because I feel lazy. Or maybe because I feel sad or something. I want to see just food as a tool so I can use it to build muscle, to be healthy, to, you know, and I'm someone who loves fasting. I definitely think that's my theory. I'm not no doctor or anything, but I think someone who eats a healthy diet, in some sense, some people say, oh, you don't eat this in the diet to be healthy, don't eat this, more food, don't eat this, eat this. But I think if someone eats more foods plus combines fasting, this guy is up for success in terms of health. Like, fasting and also, you know, exercising and getting sunshine, you know, just walking and getting the sun. Someone is up for health, bro. Someone— this person is going to be definitely up for health if someone incorporates fasting into his regimen. Because fasting, if you eat, let's say, a diet that is quote-unquote healthy, but some people say it's not healthy. Let's say that that diet wasn't 100% healthy, but the damage that you did to your body of those foods that were unhealthy, in terms of whole foods, not processed food, you would pretty much like repair your, your, your body just with fasting. Because just look up the autophagy, just look up the benefits of fasting, bro. It's so powerful that I understand why people like in Ramadan, they do fasting not for health benefits, like, like maybe, yeah, I mean, they do it so they could really like really think about life and just have some reflection time and everything. That's what I saw. And fasting is just too powerful. Really, really gotta like sort of— you gotta experience this once in your life. That's how I look at things. I just want to experience something. So I can have the experience of doing that thing and I could have memories of doing that thing. I don't want to spend my whole life doing the same thing every day, just eating the same meals. And it goes for anything. I don't want to just do the same workout every day. I don't want to do just this and that for the rest of my life. I want to experience new things. I want to try new things. I want to change. I want to learn. I've made progress just by being in the state of uncomfortable And because it was new to me, I learned so much. So bro, that's it for the vid. Hope y'all liked it. Comment, share, subscribe, and I'm out. Peace.
