Can’t Gain Healthy Weight?

A plant-based eater couldn't gain weight despite eating calorie-dense meals with coconut, avocado, and seeds. He realized strict veganism was a mistake and that key nutrients like vitamin K2, vitamin A, and omega-3s come mainly from animal products. He argues quality matters: grass-fed beef and wild-caught fish are different from factory-farmed versions.

Bro, I remember for so long I was eating all those high-caloric dense meals, bro. I was eating like, you know, those smoothie bowls where you put like everything just to make it like calorie dense. Put it like shredded coconuts, uh, every seeds you can think of, uh, avocado, dates, uh, hemp seeds, everything. I did all those things, even raisins, everything. Still, still couldn't gain weight, bro. Still couldn't gain weight. I was eating bread, like I was putting like bread with like some high calorie like, um, MC butter or something. And bro, that's like more than 1,000 calories and I was eating like a lot, bro. And I still couldn't gain weight. I couldn't gain weight, okay? And at that time I had more of sort of like a plant-based diet. But what you gotta understand is if you can't gain weight, Okay, if you can't gain weight even though you eat a lot, you eat a lot of calories, eat a lot of whatever, bro, you stuff yourself and you still can't gain weight, there's a problem with either your body or your diet, bro. And what I didn't understand back then was like, well, I was just like too close-minded. I was like, no, the plant-based diet is the best diet and there's no other diet that is better than that, and it's how humans should live. But, you know, I'm not trying to bash any diet. I'm not trying to bash the plant-based diet. Plant-based diet, like, it's cool and everything. It's not my type of diet at all, like, right now. But the— what you gotta understand is, bro, you don't go into a diet just like this just because everyone's telling you that's how it's— that it's healthy, okay? You go into the diet to try, you either go into diet to try it, okay? Just to see if it's good for you. But if it feels bad for you and you still can't continue just because everyone tells you, yeah, it's the best diet. Like bro, don't do that. Like bro, I'm someone who tries like every diet, okay? Literally, I wanna try even carnivore. I wanna try every diet, okay? But I don't hold that for the long run, bro. I don't hold that for the long run. I might if that actually work for me. But I don't hold that for the long run. That's one of the mistakes I did with my plant-based diet is I just literally, I was just losing, losing, losing weight and I was still, you know, people think losing weight is healthy but not in my case, bro. I was losing like, I was underweight like very much and that's a problem because what you gotta understand is in terms of like minerals, vitamins and everything is People, people bash saturated fats and animal fats and animal proteins, but they don't understand that you need those things. Like, you actually need those things, okay? Look at one of the most important sort of like vitamins. Like, it's vitamin— there's vitamin K2, there's vitamin A, okay? Vitamin K2, you get it from animal fats, bro. Yes, there might be some other sources, but you get it mainly from animal fats. If it's, for example, butter, if it's, for example, uh, whatever, like animal organs or fish eggs, fishes, you get it from like animal fats. But people think animal fats is unhealthy. Why? Because animal fats, like, many people just believe What everyone, it's like people got programmed, it's like, oh, everyone says fats is bad, fats makes you fat, so it must be true. But you don't even know why. People be like, oh, fats is bad, so I'm gonna eat canola oil. Like, what the fuck? You're gonna eat vegetable oil just because fat is bad? But fats is actually very, very, very, very essential. Essential fatty acids, you really need them. You need omega-3s, you need cholesterol, you need those things. The thing is, vitamin K2 is like sort of like this activator for all the other nutrients, which is what I was kind of like lacking on my other diet. It's the activator for all the other nutrients, okay? When you eat something raw, like let's say an egg, there's the vitamin K2 in the egg yolk because it's the fat, and there's the protein. When it's raw, like the fats and the protein combined, you know the white is the protein and the yellow is the fats. When it's combined, both of them, you get every nutrients and the fats actually help you like digest the protein and all the other minerals. The vitamin K2 help you do this, okay? And people still bash animal fats. You look at tribes, people living like in nature, do you think that they're like, oh, we're not gonna eat the fats in the animal because it's unhealthy for us? No, what you gotta understand with animal fats, you know, I'm not trying to preach like you eat animal fats every day, but with animal fats or animal protein, the problem with them is actually how they were raised, bro. That's the only problem. You get like a wild, deer or you get wild-caught fish, there's no problem with that except if it's like polluted water or something. But if you take like a cow, take a cow, okay, and feed it like antibiotics and all those hormones and all those everything that's bad from, you know, trash diet, and then feed another cow next to him like get it on some pasture, you know, on the grass, and make, make it like eat grass, you'll see a huge difference in their health. And you do the same with a human. Take a human and give him like a healthy diet, and take a human and give them a trash diet and a trash lifestyle where they're just in a cage all day, where they're just in their house. What do you think is going to be more healthy? The guy playing video games all day and eating junk food, or the guy who's outside 24/7 and eating a healthy diet from nature. You see, you are what also the animals you eat eat and how they live, okay? That's very important. It's not animal protein or animal fats that is bad for you, okay? Be more open-minded to new diets and everything because you got programmed too. You think people got programmed to eat unhealthy, but you got programmed too to think, for example, that only fruits and vegetables are good for you. Like, you need look at the minerals content from all those foods and get— if you can get the, the best you can get. Let's say for meat and dairy is grass-fed and organic, and for, for example, uh, for chicken it's pasture-raised and organic too, and for fish, wild-caught fish. That's— and for like every seafood, it's wild-caught. That's the best you can get if you can not get those things. Like, let's say if you can only get like organic, that's, that's so cool. If you can get like only like grass-fed, or like if you can get like the best, then choose that, okay? But don't— be more open-minded to all those things. Like, bro, thinking like animal fats is like saturated— you need saturated fats, but you need all those fats. You think sugar is better than fats? Nah, bro.
