Debunking The Pleasure of Porn

In this monologue Samir Gardner argues that the pleasure people associate with porn and masturbation is not an inherent property of the stimuli but a mental construct he calls “mental masturbation.” He explains that porn is merely a lifeless video and that any pleasure derived from it comes from the viewer’s beliefs, expectations, and imagination. Gardner uses a series of analogies and references to empirical studies—forced vs. voluntary cocaine use, opiate trials, candy‑taste experiments with isolated tribes, wine‑label effects, and roller‑coaster reactions—to illustrate that pleasure is subjective and driven by perception rather than the object itself. He challenges common NoFap narratives, the idea that porn fulfills a survival‑related reproductive drive, and claims that genre preferences (heterosexual, homosexual, hentai) are acquired tastes shaped by cultural messaging. Throughout, he emphasizes that by “debunking” these mental associations, viewers can detach pleasure from porn, leading to lasting freedom from porn, masturbation, and lust. The video concludes with a call to action for personal coaching to quit porn within 7‑14 days.

All right guys, so this is gonna be an extremely important video, how to debunk pleasure, okay? A lot of people have been asking me for this. And once you debunk pleasure, what's gonna happen is you're not gonna feel like you want porn anymore because one of the biggest reasons, if not the biggest reasons, why people watch porn is because of the quote unquote pleasure that they get. But all of that pleasure, we all know that it's fake, but we still perceive it to be real so that we actually feel pleasure when we watch porn. But the reality is, once you really debunk it, which is what I'm gonna do if you listen to this video completely from the beginning to the end with your full attention, you're gonna be able to understand how to actually stop linking pleasure to porn. And that's gonna obviously lead you to become free forever from porn if you really understand how to do this, okay? So take it seriously because this is not gonna be just, you know, oh, just stop thinking, you know, that there's pleasure in porn and then your brain is gonna stop associating pleasure with it. It's gonna be way more detailed, and because it's gonna be more detailed, it's gonna be easier for you to understand also, but also to become free from porn and masturbation, okay? Because we're not just gonna tackle porn, but we're also gonna tackle masturbation, which is gonna make it even better for you. So what is actually pleasurable about porn, okay? Let's just ask ourselves that, right? Because one thing that we probably understand by now especially if you've been watching my videos, that porn, what is porn, okay? Porn is a lifeless video. So if porn is a lifeless video and that masturbation, and you know, we're gonna go deeper into masturbation, but masturbation is simply a physical stimulation then what is pleasurable about either of those things, right? There's not, it's not like if I physically stimulate my hand right here, am I gonna get pleasure? No, right? But if I'm getting a massage and getting the same exact physical sensations, maybe I'll get pleasure. Is it because of how I'm touching myself or how I'm touching a certain part of my body? Or is it because I interpret that physical sensation in that moment being as pleasurable? And sometimes I don't interpret it as pleasurable, right? We gotta start questioning ourselves, right? And don't worry, I'm gonna show you studies that's gonna prove that pleasure is not what we think it is, because we're not just gonna tackle porn and masturbation related to pleasure, but we're also gonna debunk pleasure itself, because there's a lot of lies and misconceptions that we believe in so deeply that it just becomes our reality, right? It becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. So if masturbation is physical stimulation and porn is lifeless video, then let's just tackle porn. What is pleasurable about a lifeless video? Okay, because, okay, you're watching a screen. So imagine this is a screen, right? You have the screen and you're watching a video. Okay, take that and give it to a tribe and say, you know what, there's a screen, uh, it's a lifeless video. I mean, you don't say it's a lifeless video, but this is a screen You think they're gonna be like, oh, this is so pleasurable, man, this is the best thing on earth. Even if you put, let's say you put porn in front of them and you show it to them, you think they're gonna be like, oh my God, this is so pleasurable, it gives me so much dopamine, ah, this is the best thing, thank you guys for bringing this, it feels so good, and all of those things. No, none of that would happen. Even arousal won't happen, even shame won't happen, even every single thing that NoFap tells you to feel regarding porn is not gonna happen, okay? And that's one thing. Because how can a screen give you pleasure? If I look at this whiteboard right here, right? Because it's the same thing, right? A screen is just materials, right? It's a screen, it's pixels. Now, if I look at this whiteboard, which is just a whiteboard, and I just look at it, is it gonna give me pleasure? No. But if I think of this whiteboard and I give it personal meaning and I say, you know, oh, this whiteboard helped me just create videos which are gonna change people's lives and my lives. This whiteboard, every time I write on it, I think of things that I love, and that gives me a lot of pleasure. Now I'm getting pleasure not because of the whiteboard, but because of how I associate, I mean, how I give personal meanings to the whiteboard. So the problem is not porn itself, right? It's not the screen, the pixels. The problem is how you perceive porn. And because you perceive it to be pleasurable, it becomes pleasurable. It's not because of porn itself. That's what we need to understand. Okay, that's the first thing. That's the most important thing. Okay, now what is actually pleasurable about porn, right? So if you were mindful last time that you actually watched porn, um, you'll understand that there's the reality. Okay, what's actually pleasurable is this: it's the mental masturbation. And what do I mean by mental masturbation? Mental masturbation, I mean that when you watch porn, it's not the physical sensation of masturbation that's giving you pleasure. It's not the screen itself or the actress on the screen, right? Rather, it's how you use your imagery, right? You use your imagination to create a kind of like sense that, you know, you are the one inside of the video. So it's like, it's not the video that turns you on. It's like how you imagine yourself being doing the things that you see in the video. Because the video is essentially like visual cues. What I mean by visual cues is that you use the video to start fantasizing in your own mind, you having sex the same way, but with someone else maybe you know in real life, okay? That's what I would do, okay? When I was masturbating or watching porn, because even masturbation, people don't just masturbate thinking about nothing. They just start fantasizing about either someone they had sex with in the past or just overall, you know, fantasizing about having sex in the first place with someone they may know, someone they invent, whatever, right? What happens is what is pleasurable is not the fact itself that it's, you know, that it's the masturbation that feels so good because, you know, if you really look at it, okay, mental masturbation, if you look at porn mindfully, okay, porn mindfully, and you probably know this, but once you look at porn mindfully, you'll see that there's literally nothing that happens. There is literally nothing. I can, you know, I have my computer right here because I have notes for this video, but if I look at my computer screen with porn on it, and let's say I'm thinking nothing, let's say my mind is focused somewhere else, or let's say I'm just not even thinking, I'm just mindful, like kind of like a meditative kind of, you know, just my mind is clear, there's no thoughts at all, right? There's nothing. Right? Well, if you do the test, you can do it, you can not do it, it's up to you, right? Sometimes my students just do it as a test, and every single time they realize that there's no arousal, there's no pleasure, there's no dopamine, there's no— all of the things that we believe that we associate with porn, none of them happen because the mind is not activated. If the mind is not activated, which means, you know, our perception or beliefs around porn If they're not there, then porn does nothing. Porn has no power over you. It cannot mind control you. You cannot do all of those things because you are the one which gives it pleasure, not porn itself. We gotta make the clear distinction because it's the mental masturbation that, you know, feels good. It's not the physical masturbation. Think about it, right? If you were to just watch porn and look at it, just look at the screen, just like I'm looking at the whiteboard. Now look, looking at the whiteboard itself, I'm just like, okay, this is a whiteboard made out of materials. But if I look at the whiteboard and I start thinking, oh, this whiteboard, it means so much to me because it's been there for all of those years in my life and I've been able to do so many projects that brought me so much to my life. Now the whiteboard, it gives, there's pleasure now associated with it, there's meaning, that I associate with it, right? Because I'm starting to think, you understand? It's all in the mind. You need to think first before you feel pleasure regarding porn. It's not porn that gives it, it's your own mind. Because just think about it, okay? If I go, and you can even look at your past, but if you take a random kid, oops, if you take a random kid will you force to watch porn? Okay, imagine you have that random kid, you force him to watch porn. Let's say that kid knows nothing about porn, nothing about masturbation. He doesn't know if it's bad or good. He just— you just give it to him and you tell him to watch it right now. Look, the kid is not going to feel anything. Why? Because, I mean, probably he's gonna feel weird about it because it's new to him. You know, it's kind of like, why am I even watching a video about that when, you know, people do it in real life, right? And basically, he's not brainwashed by either porn itself, like the porn industry where they tell you, man, porn is like the secretive habit that is gonna make you feel so good when you're lonely and bored. And they don't have that NoFap ideology of like, Oh, if you watch it once, you're gonna become addicted and it's gonna be hard because your brain is rewired and it gives you so much pleasure that you're not gonna feel any pleasure for the rest of your life, whatever, right? Now look, this guy is clear of all of these beliefs. If you force him to watch porn, you really think he's gonna be like, oh my God, this feels so good, man. Masturbation and porn feels so good. I feel like I'm actually having sex. I feel like I'm reproducing with 10,000 women. None of that would happen because he would fail to perceive so. Because he knows deep down it's just a video, you know. And maybe he doesn't even know like that videos like these exist, so he's gonna be like, what the heck is this, right? It's not going to be turned down— turned up— turned on, I mean. He's not going to feel pleasure, he's not going to feel arousal, he's not going to feel dopamine, none of that, because he doesn't have any preconceived beliefs about this, about porn, about masturbation. You need to understand this because Look, at the end of the day, okay, there's millions. You can look at the statistics even from, you know, from people that claim that, you know, everyone watches porn. Look, the statistics shows that it's not every single person on earth that watches porn, especially women. Women, you know, barely watch porn compared to men. And yet, like, we're both like species that reproduce, right? And even for masturbation is the same thing. And it's not because you know, they don't have libido, they don't have, you know, a form of like sexual drive. It's just because they don't want to do it. Like, it's that simple. It's— you think they're like, oh my God, I'm missing out on so much biological pleasure because I'm not watching porn. No, sorry, we need to understand pleasure is not linked to porn. Pleasure is in your own mind, okay? Because imagine if you force someone to watch porn, You really think he's gonna feel pleasure? No. Because you as a kid, okay, you as a kid, if you actually go back and look at the first time that you actually watched porn, right? You'll realize that you didn't really feel pleasure when you actually first time watch, if you can actually remember. Because I remember myself when I first watched it, it just felt weird, like a shock. It felt stressful, I felt anxious. There was no pleasure about it, it was just like, I'm curious, let me watch this, this is kind of interesting. That's it, right? And there was nothing about it that was pleasurable, right? But as time went on and through the media, through internet, through porn marketing itself as I was on these porn sites, like the message I got was basically porn is so pleasurable, masturbation is so pleasurable. And because I got that repeated that like so often, I started like, I'm having this belief in my head that it's pleasurable. And guess what? A belief is in your mind. So like, when I'm watching porn, all I'm thinking is, this is pleasurable, this is pleasurable, this feels so good, because that's what I've told people, you know, do. I mean, that's how people think when they watch porn, that's how people feel when they watch porn. So let me just feel the same way, right? This is how powerful the mind is. If you actually believe something, it's going to happen. It's not because that thing— it's not because a screen is going to give you pleasure and dopamine, is because you think it's going to give it, right? So, you know, even if you look at simple studies, um, people when they get forced to do a certain behavior— so let me just show you a study where, um, there was cocaine forced and then there was voluntary cocaine. Oops, let me just— writing this the wrong way, as you can see. So cocaine volunteer. So there was very two drastic results, okay? The ones, okay, I think it was rats or monkeys. I'm not quite sure of the animal, I kind of forgot, but The ones that were given cocaine voluntarily, meaning that they could just press on a lever and just like get a shot of cocaine inside of their, their body, what happened to them is they survived. They were kind of like went back to normal. And yeah, and by the way, both of these groups had— oops— both of these Groups were given like pretty much the same amount, okay, same quantity of cocaine. Now the ones that were forced, what is interesting, what happened to them is they actually died. Not every single one of them, but a lot of them died. And what we can get from this, you know, research, this study, is that the ones that are voluntarily, meaning that they want to do that thing, it actually almost benefits them in a sense that they wanna do it, right? It actually works for them. But the ones that were forced to do it, they die, okay? And what is even more interesting is the one that were forced to do it, they didn't get any pleasure. They didn't get, like, they did not enjoy it. Every single shock of dopamine, of cocaine felt bad to them, right? Whilst the one that were doing voluntary, it felt good. What I mean, okay, what I'm trying to show with this is that pleasure is not in things. They're not like in the drug, they're not in the, in the, how do you call it, in the, um, in the porn, in the masturbation, but rather they're in the mind, okay? Because there's even another study which is quite interesting where they took, uh, I think it was 150 50 young males, okay? This is the British investigation study, okay? Not study, but research. Young males, and they give them opiates, okay? So what are opiates? It's like a drug. I mean, pretty much, I'm pretty sure you know about opiates, right? When people say it's quite powerful as a drug, and they give them opiates, okay? It was the first time of their life that they were trying that drug. Sorry, it was the first time of their life that they actually tried that drug. What happened is, okay, out of those 150 young males— let me write in red so that you can actually see— out of those 150, only 3 wanted to do it again. And what we can get from this is that it's not the drug itself again is pleasurable, because if it was pleasurable, because these guys when they took opiates, which, you know, this drug seems like, you know, one of the best things on earth, like, you know, it gives so much pleasure, that's why people get hooked. But these guys didn't get any pleasure from it. They felt it was weird. They didn't even like the experience as much as, you know, they didn't even want to do it again. Only 3 wanted out of 150, do the maths, okay? We gotta understand that there's actually, pleasure is not what we think it is. It's not just inside of things, right? Especially with drugs, because drugs are actually ingested in your body. Point is, the screen, you're literally watching something. I'm watching this whiteboard, it doesn't give me pleasure, but if I perceive it to be something that's pleasurable for specific reasons, then yes, it's going to feel pleasurable. It's not the whiteboard, it's my own perception of it, okay? So that's the thing, okay? We also have like this myth that like, you know, if we reproduce with porn and that we have sex, then that's why it's so pleasurable. Okay, first of all, we can basically tackle this. So if we really look at it, reproduction, is it first of all a survival need as people claim it to be? Now, if it was a survival need, then why can people live their whole lives without having sex? Why do people live their whole lives without having any kids? Just look at priests and asexuals. These are people that don't engage in sex, don't engage most of the time in, you know, masturbation, porn, things of that nature, especially priests, because it goes against their morals and values. And yet they just live life normally, right? They just see their lifestyle as something that they actually wanna do. It's voluntary, so they wanna do it, which shows that it's not about survival, because if it was about survival, then they would die, right? It's not about survival. Rather, yes, it helps with survival, but it is a want. It's not necessary to, you know, it's not like food or breathing or water where it's actually necessary to survive. Instead, it is simply a want. It's simply something you wanna do in order to get the benefit of having more kids. Because look, in this day and age, it's not like we became extra sophisticated humans. We're just wanting to not reproduce or we're wanting to have a lot of kids. It's just a choice. You gotta understand that there's no, There's nothing forced about that. Yeah, you might have like natural impulses to, you know, have sex with opposite gender, but still, you know, that doesn't compare to someone who actually doesn't want to reproduce. Because if it doesn't want to reproduce, then it's not gonna reproduce, okay? Because it is a choice, it's not something forced upon us, okay? Now look, even though reproduction, okay, because, okay, porn is reproduction, you know, it's about reproduction. Which means that it's pleasurable. That's what people think, okay? So they think, oh, you know, you're reproducing with so many women, which doesn't make sense because think about it, okay? You're watching a video, you're not actually having sex, first of all. So when you're watching a video, if you watch a video about eating food, will that mean that you're eating so much food? Let's say you're watching a video about like someone eating like a whole entire cow, right? For example, right? Now, does that mean that you're literally eating the wok hei in your mind? No, you don't even perceive it to be that way. But maybe if you perceived it as, oh, this guy's eating so much steak, I'm watching a video about a guy eating steak, it's gonna satisfy my hunger, it's gonna make me, you know, you see how dumb it is, okay? We don't, you know, it's not, first of all, survival need, but also, There's no link between watching a video of people having sex and actually having sex. Think about it. Are you satisfying your hunger by watching a guy eat food? Or do you actually satisfy your hunger by eating food? Like, you understand it's really that simple. Even if it was about reproduction, then why do most people do not pay prostitutes? Why do not most people just cold approach every single woman they see? They don't because they perceive it as something that's not gonna really satisfy their reproductive needs? I mean, yes, but at the same time, like, it's not worth it for them to go and pay prostitutes or to go and court approach every woman, right? They don't see the value in doing so. So that's what we need to understand, okay? Because even then, okay, if it's porn means reproduction, which means pleasure. Now look, let's just look at a very simple example. Music. Music has been shown in studies, and I can, you know, link up the study down below, which is extremely interesting. It's a study that I found actually in the Freedom Model, the book, and it talks about music. Okay, now music, the thing is, it has been shown to spike up the brain in terms of pleasure and give the same amount of pleasure as in hard drugs. Okay, as in hard drugs that, you know, most people feel a huge amount of pleasure, which is also kind of like an illusionary pleasure, but I'm not gonna get into that. Music, is music linked to any survival needs? Just ask yourself that. Is music linked to shelter, food, water, survival by any means? No, it's not even— there's not even reproduction, yet it gives a huge amount of pleasure. So saying that reproduction means pleasure because it's a survival need makes no sense. Even for eating food, you don't get an unlimited amount of pleasure when you eat food. After a certain It's all in the mind, right? Porn, food, whatever. If you watch porn once, after, if you wanna watch it twice, you're not gonna get pleasure because you don't want to keep on doing it, right? But someone else might watch it 7 times and get the same amount, I mean, get even more pleasure or whatever. He's gonna keep on getting pleasure every single time he watches it, even if it's 7 times in a row, right? Or someone might, because if pleasure was really inside of things, just like food, for example, if there was dopamine and pleasure in food, every single time you eat it, then bro, you will never stop eating because you're gonna get a, you know, you're gonna constantly get pleasure. But the thing is, you stop that pleasure the moment you think that, you know, you know what, I'm satisfied. That's it. Which shows it's all in the mind, man. It's all in the mind. And look, the thing is, it doesn't— that's the thing with porn, with anything basically that we're talking about here, okay? Porn, masturbation, all of those things The reason why I say porn isn't pleasure, okay, and just to put it simply, because it doesn't deliver, okay, it doesn't deliver as if, let's say you eat an orange, okay. If you eat an orange, regardless of the situation, regardless if you wanna eat the orange or not, right, regardless of how you perceive the orange to be, regardless of if you like the orange or not, guess what? You're still gonna get, for example, the vitamin C inside of it. It's gonna be delivered. Now with porn, if you don't feel like watching porn, you're not gonna get pleasure. If you don't feel like you like porn, you know, you're not gonna get pleasure. If you don't want pleasure in porn, you're not gonna get pleasure. Just think about it, okay? An orange is gonna give you vitamin C no matter what. Even if you— even if it's fed inside of your mouth and you don't even want to eat it, you're gonna still gonna get pleasure. Okay, so that's what we need to understand. Now look, okay, this is— let me just give you a quick example of why porn has no pleasure. Again, and look, when you're watching these videos, the goal for me is not just to tell you porn has no pleasure. The goal for me is to give you examples and really, uh, information that's going to allow you to come to your own conclusion that, yeah, actually porn has no pleasure. Because when I give you all of these studies, these examples, these logical conclusions You're able to really make up your own mind and realize, okay, maybe porn has no pleasure. And once it comes from you, you're going to be able to actually be convinced of it, which is the most important thing. Look, homosexual porn. Okay. Now let's be honest, okay? This is if you don't watch homosexual porn. I never watched it. I'm assuming most of people I've never watched it. If you watch it, it's cool, right? I'm not shaming anyone. That's not what I do here, okay? Now look, almost sexual porn. The majority of people watching this video, probably you, I'm assuming too, you won't get any pleasure from watching almost sexual porn. Am I right? You're not gonna get any pleasure, arousal, dopamine, stress relief, or All those things, you're not even gonna want to watch homosexual porn. Even if it's in front of you, even if there's tourist traps of homosexual porn everywhere, you're not even gonna think about it for one second, about watching it. And the reason why, okay, the reason why is simply because you, your own mind, you don't perceive homosexual porn to be pleasurable. You don't perceive homosexual porn to give you arousal. You don't perceive homosexual porn to be something that you shouldn't even pursue in the first place, that you shouldn't even want or desire in the first place. It's all in the mind, because if porn really gave pleasure the same way that an orange would give vitamin C to you, then you would get pleasure from watching homosexual porn. You would get arousal from watching homosexual porn. If there was thirst trap, if there was like, you know, quote unquote softcore porn but for homosexual porn, then you would go and fall into it the same way that you fall into porn. But you don't. And you can say, oh no, it's because Samir Gardner, you're not reproducing, you know, when, when there's homosexual porn because it's two men. Look, there's many people that, you know, still watch homosexual porn or learn to like homosexual porn. I, I— there's many people now that I've coached, uh, that told me in the past they just watched normal porn and then they got into homosexual porn and they started liking it, right? I'm not saying this is like a disease that you catch out of the sky, right? It's just an acquired taste. Just like porn itself, it's an acquired taste. At first you don't like it. At first there's nothing about it. There's no value there. You know, you don't really have a reason to watch it. But as time goes on, you learn to like it because of the information that, you know, it gives you. For example, you've been told that it's pleasurable, that it's going to relieve your stress. Well, some people perceive the same thing as homosexual porn. Another thing, you might watch a certain genre of porn. I'm not going to get into details, but You might watch a certain genre that is gonna give you a lot of pleasure for you, but no pleasure for someone else, right? You can think about anything related to that, but you might also get no pleasure from watching a certain genre that everyone watches. Just look, for example, at hentai, right? People that watch like anime porn or whatever. I never watched it, but I'm not saying this to flex or anything, but it wasn't my thing. But when you look at anime porn, Is it about— do you really think it's about reproduction? Do you really think it's about reproduction? Do you really think that fake characters that actually look fake is about reproduction? It's literally a fake cartoon. So when people bring up the argument that you're having sex with so many people, that's why it's pleasurable, well, say that to the anime watchers, to the people that watch anime porn. It's cartoons. It's literally cartoons. You gotta understand that it's all in the mind. You're having pleasure in your own mind. You're not having pleasure because of it. Not having pleasure because of the masturbation also. So that's one thing, okay? I'm just looking at my notes here. So we can also look at many other things, okay? For example, a roller coaster, because a lot of people think that, yeah, because your brain spikes when you watch porn, that's the reason why it gives you so much pleasure. Guess what spikes up your brain in very similar ways? Roller coaster. But the real question about the roller coaster is, do you become addicted to a roller coaster? Do you relieve your stress because of roller coaster? Do you do, you know, do you even get pleasure out of the roller coaster? Is it the, the metals that gives you pleasure? But also, why do some people actually find the roller coaster enjoyable while some are actually going to puke and feel disgusting about it and be scared and nervous about it and stressed out? The answer is simple. It's because everyone has their own mind and everyone can perceive pleasure in anything that they want. Because if it was the roller coaster being so pleasurable because it spikes up your brain, you know, obviously it's going to spike up your brain in the same way as for everyone because like you're literally doing the same roller coaster. Well, no, because you understand that it's depending on how you perceive it. It's not depending on the roller coaster, it's depending on how you perceive it. And once you understand it's all about perception, you can easily just detach pleasure from porn. But you need to understand why, right? That's what we're doing here. Roller coasters spice up your brain, porn spikes up your brain. Well, you're not necessarily gonna get pleasure from roller coasters. You might get bored, you might get scared, you might get a lot of pleasure and fun, you might get stressed out, you might relieve your stress. Depends, just depends on you, okay? That's what we need to understand. And at the same time, okay, Let's just be honest with ourselves. How can porn give us so much pleasure but at the same time makes us feel so much miserable? It's not porn that does those, that makes me feel miserable or pleasure, right? It's how you perceive it. That's why it's so weird that you feel so much pleasure but at the same time you feel so bad. Like it's impossible that something can actually give you two different opposite reactions at the same time. It makes no sense. And then we have here the candy study, okay? This is a very interesting study because it shows to us that pleasure is not what we think it is. So they went to a tribe and gave them candies, and obviously that tribe never consumed candies in its whole life. And then I have this marketing from the candy industry where it's so pleasurable and gives so much pleasure and all of those things. Now the thing is, a candy has a lot of sugar, right? And sugar is kind of linked to survival because um, you need sugar and fats in order to survive. And, you know, it's basically needed inside of the body, right? It's not like porn that is literally not needed, but this is actually needed in the body, right? Sugar. And guess what? Um, people think because it's thanks to survival that it will give pleasure. Now look, what happened actually is they gave them the candy and they thought it was weird. They— for them, it tasted not good. It wasn't good for them. It just felt weird, disgusting. Guess what? These tribes, you know, sometimes consume what we think is the most disgusting thing on Earth. They might consume, for example, the belly of an animal, which is filled with like grass, which tastes disgusting for most people. They might eat liver, which most people don't even eat nowadays, and most people find disgusting, but they eat it and they find a lot of pleasure in it, which shows that it's not just cause and effect. Because, you know, it's not because there's sugar that it means pleasure instantly, right? I can go and eat something that's sugary and find it disgusting, while someone else might find it like so, so, so good, right? Which shows it's not about the thing itself, it's about how you perceive it. They didn't have the perception around sugar being pleasurable, so, uh, I mean, especially for candy, so they just never really, um, linked any pleasure to it, and they never felt pleasure because of that. But also, if we look at the wine study, Okay, my, my pen doesn't work as always. If we look at the wine study where they took, uh, people that knew kind of like about wine and they give them like an expensive wine bottle, but inside of the expensive wine bottle there was a cheap version of the wine. Okay, there was like a— it was not, it was not the, the wine that was supposed to be in the bottle, but instead they gave them a cheap version of the wine that they consumed before. And didn't really enjoy it that much, right? But they give that small, I mean, that cheap wine inside of that expensive bottle. And guess what? They found that they found there was way more pleasure in drinking the same exact wine, but just because there was the label that was expensive, you know, and like the way that the bottle was made, as you know, it looked more luxurious. That's the only reason why. but other than that, they never, you know, they just thought because they thought it happened in the mind and because of that, it actually felt pleasure. So what we gotta understand, okay, if we can really just have a whole conclusion about this is that pleasure is in the mind. Pleasure is not because of porn. Pleasure is not because of masturbation because even the orgasm of masturbation, if you, for example, if someone comes up on you and gives you an orgasm, you know, this sounds weird, but let's say that it's a man who gives you an orgasm. Are you really gonna feel pleasure? Let's say that you're forced to do it. You're not gonna feel pleasure, which shows that it's subjective. It's not objectively gonna give you pleasure at all times. Because imagine you're in the middle of having sex with a woman and then you find out it's a transient. Are you really gonna still have pleasure because it's a transient? Are you gonna be, you know, still like pulled in towards the sex because it feels so pleasurable and because of biology? No, because you realize that it's not a woman. You realize in your own mind. but at first you thought it was a woman. You thought, you perceived it to be a woman, so you enjoyed it. You understand that it's very subjective. It's all in the mind. You can see pleasure anywhere. And please be careful of that myth, okay, that goes around the NoFap space, that you cannot feel pleasure anymore. And this is probably the biggest myth, especially after you understand this video, because after watching porn. Because a lot of— we think that porn is like, gives so much pleasure, and it's like the euphoric thing, when all of it is just in the mind. It's not because of porn or masturbation. And we cannot feel pleasure because we watch porn, it feels so good, that now we cannot enjoy the normal day-to-day things. It's such a huge lie, because even me, man, I'm enjoying literally reading books. I'm literally enjoying everything. I can watch porn right now 8 times in a row and go and enjoy spending time outside in nature, doing things that are low dopamine, quote unquote. Why? Because I can perceive pleasure in anything. It's not because you add pleasure somewhere that now you're not gonna have any pleasure. And think about it, the pleasure in porn is not in your body, it's just pleasure because you perceive it to be pleasurable. So that means there's no pleasure. So at the end of the day, guys, stop believing the lies of NoFap, start debunking these lies and you realize that at the end of the day, if you, okay, let me just write this down. This is extremely important, okay? So if you, the truth is this, okay? The truth, especially when it comes to NoFap, is to remove the lies, okay? Because if you have the truth, let me make a better diagram, okay? So if you have the truth here, Okay, let's say this is the truth, and all around the truth there's lies, lies, lies. Like, at a certain point, what's gonna happen is you're not gonna be able to see the truth anymore. And because you're not able to see the truth anymore because it's all covered with lies, what you need to do in order to see the truth again is simply remove all all of these lies, all of them, and you'll be left with just seeing the truth right here, okay? And once you're left with just seeing the truth, guess what? This is a very popular quote that everyone knows about it. The truth will set you Free. So guys, once you really remove the lies, you're going to be able to see the truth. And the truth truly— and I'm not saying this as a fancy quote, but actually, once you have the truth, it's going to set you free. Because the truth means that you're going to easily gain freedom.
