Your brain can't retain everything you consume. Instead of endless videos and news, pick one quality source like a book and stick with it. Cal Newport's Deep Work shows how focused attention actually builds knowledge and productivity.

Now, bro, go on a sort of low information diet. And by that I mean, look, you gotta stop like having so much information in front of you. You gotta stop like reading every— not reading in terms of like reading books, reading, you know, things that are like interesting and everything. I'm saying stop reading everything. Well, you see, your brain is— does it— but your brain doesn't want that much information. Your brain cannot remember everything that it sees. Ask someone who watches TV 10 hours a day, do you think he can really tell you everything that he's seen in 10 hours? No, he can't. So because most people, what they do is they think they're being productive and they think they're gonna get a lot of knowledge if they watch 10 YouTube videos per day, they read 5 books per day, they, they, um, watch this TV, uh, 24/7. Bro, it's not you're not going to get more knowledge. And by— I said books, but books, I read books a lot. And well, I'm, I'm gonna not talk about books because books is underrated, to be honest. But what you gotta understand is most people do too much, like too much information for their brain. There's too much information, there's too much, you know, just, oh, wake up in the morning, like, watch the news, then go on YouTube, watch a video, then read an assignment, and, you know, do the homework. You got to read a text or something. Like, bro, there's too much. There's too much information for the brain. You cannot remember everything. Instead, instead, okay, instead, what you got to do, which is going to be more productive and it's going to free up a lot of your time— that's what I do. Like, that's what I do nowadays. Is I read. Like, the only information I get, like, like maybe, yeah, I watch YouTube, I watch YouTube and everything, but most of my knowledge or, you know, information I get every day is from books or sometimes a little bit of YouTube. But I read every day and that's how I get knowledge. I've read the book Deep Work and bro, I can't I can teach you now because right now my business is YouTube. And if I read books, I need to read books or maybe watch YouTube videos so I can get knowledge to give it to y'all. So you gotta focus on what do you want in your life and what actions do you need. If you don't need to watch the news then for, I mean, to reach that goal, then I mean, it's up to you. You should make the decision. But for example, me, I gotta read books so I can give y'all the knowledge, and I like reading books. So like, you know, I mean, it's just like this. So look, you're gonna be more like, you're gonna have more free time and you're gonna be more productive because you're just gonna focus on one thing. And once you focus on that one thing, you're gonna remember that thing way, way, way, way better than— because think about it, bro, if like if someone like gives you like a thousand— like, I don't know, bro, if you read 7 books at a time, like for example, you're not going to remember the 7 books. But if you read one and the same amount of pages as the 7 books, you're gonna remember the one book more, way more. So think about it like in a broad perspective, like in the biggest— like in the bigger picture. Are you like Does your life— like, does your meaning of life is like just basically watching something and just reading? Not, not reading, but always having— just looking at something, basically. Are you always— is that your meaning of life? Just looking at something, looking at TV, looking at YouTube, looking at Instagram, looking at everything. Is that your meaning of life, bro? Like, your meaning shouldn't— I mean, my meaning is not to just look at things. I just want to experience things. You're not experiencing when you're looking at something, bro. You're not experiencing anything. I mean, yeah, maybe you're experiencing a bit, but the real experiences in the real world, not on your phone or not on a paper or something. So really think about it, bro. You get— you can be more productive and you can have more mental power too. I really, really think about it. So that's it for the vid. Hope y'all liked it. Comment, share, subscribe, and like. I'm out. Peace.
