How To Make Any Plant Based Milk At Home

Samir Gardner shows how to make plant-based milk at home with just a base (nuts or seeds), water, and optional sweetener. He uses 100g coconut and 6 dates as an example, blends on high speed, and skips filtering. Any nut, seed, or grain works.

What's good, y'all? It's your boy Samir Gardner. Hope y'all doing good. So I'm about to show y'all how to make any plant-based milk, and in the video I'm gonna make coconut milk, but you can use any seeds or nuts. Basically, you can use any— I mean, if you see it in a store, you can make it yourself. You can make oat milk, you can make anything. So I'm about to show you how to make it. You need about 3 ingredients, which I'm about to show y'all. And yeah, that's it. So to begin, just choose like whichever nuts or seeds you want. It can be anything— walnuts, almonds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, chia seeds— but it can be anything. So I'm about to do a coconut milk, which tastes like very, very good. So the ingredients you're gonna need is a sweetener, and that's optional actually. So I use dates, but you can use like maple syrup or anything. I use dates personally. Uh, so you're gonna start by adding the coconut. The coconut is very creamy, it's gonna make that creamy taste. I'm adding about like 100 grams as you can see. Uh, it's gonna be perfect to make any milk. And then I'm about to add my sweetener. I put about like 6 dates. I don't mess with brown sugar, I don't mess with any type of syrups. I just mess with dates. It comes with magnesium, it comes with other minerals and everything. So I mess with dates a lot, uh, you know, it's just sugar with nutritional value basically for me. But you know, and then finally just add water because you need water. So that's about like— you can make this milk in 2 ingredients, just water and nuts or water and seeds and everything, and it's gonna make still a good milk. But I use dates just to make it better. Finally, I'm just about to, um, basically blend everything. Just blend it on high as you can. And I don't filter my milk. You can filter it, but I think it still tastes great and everything, so I just don't filter it.
