I don’t care about all these distractions

The speaker argues that social media, celebrity gossip, and news drain your energy without improving your life. He cut these habits and redirected that attention to meditation, the gym, reading, and building a business instead. I remember finding out that everything was simply a distraction. That, bro, all this entertainment, all this celebrities, news, and everything, it's just a distraction. It's literally just a distraction for me becoming my best self. It's just a distraction for me to just improve my life in general, to just literally do anything that will bring me a fulfilling life. You know, all these distractions, if it's the news, if it's the celebrities, if it's whatever, sports, but it won't serve my purpose. Am I gonna live a better life because of this? No. Am I gonna be someone better because of this? No. Am I gonna make money because of this? I'm not the type of guy who just goes to party and gets drunk or just like watch sports with people. Like, bro, I don't do that. If it's been so hard for me when I cut out all this, those distractions, to live like other people live a normal life. Like, literally live around other people, literally people always be on their phone, people always be scrolling on Instagram, people always be, you know, watching sports. But I don't want to watch this, bro. I'm trying to literally go outside and play basketball. I'm not trying to watch basketball. Yes, I still kind of watch basketball, but I don't I don't let it consume me, bro. I don't let it consume me. I literally watch it so I can be like, just because I like the sport and I was getting kind of like inspired by the sport. But let me tell you, bro, all these distractions is worthless. And bro, I understand you, bro. If you the type of guy who just doesn't want to do all the normal stuff like just playing video games and then watching sports and then doing all those things, watching the news, watching celebrities. What am I going to gain watching all these celebrities? I remember I was like, bro, what am I— Do you really think that these celebrities care about you, bro? They don't. I don't care if it's a rapper, I don't care if it's a sports player, bro, they don't care about you yet. They can't make maybe care about you because, because of you they made money. But do you really think like they're worrying about you right now? No, they're not. And you're worrying about them, bro. That was my mindset, bro. But bro, you know, it's so hard because you realize people around you just want to watch 24/7 all those distractions. They don't just wanna— but you want to tell them like, bro, like it's just distractions. Like you can just instead, you know, put that same attention and focus towards a bigger purpose, towards you, towards a craft, towards a business. And you know, I was like, bro, that's why people are not successful, bro. I'm only— I was only 16, bro. And I was like, well, this is why people are not successful. They literally put their all— they put everything besides them first. They put literally those distractions besides them first, bro. You know, I literally was working on myself, doing like the good habits, like, you know, going outside in nature, playing basketball outside, you know, nofap, meditate, everything. Did all the good habits, but then, you know, try to put people on, never worked, bro. But it was such a— but let me tell you, bro, I got this solution. Like, I don't like saying that word solution, but To fix that problem, bro, you gotta let go. You gotta let go. I know like saying just let go is not easy, but what you gotta realize is you're putting so much negative energy towards those distractions. You're literally giving away your energy, bro. You know, I spent literally years and I still kind of do that shit. I literally spent years, like not years, but 1 or 2 years where I just literally just be bitching about people. I'd be like, well, this society is trash, this society is so dumb. Why are they doing instant gratification when they can literally make their life 1,000 times better? They can literally eat healthy and be healthy when they have all those disease. Why don't they do that? Why they only wanna watch whatever celebrity just happened, like whatever happened to this celebrity, 'Oh, this is really dark.' Like, bro, like, why do you think— you know what I mean? Like, bro, instead, bro, instead of putting all the negative energy towards like other people like this, but put that same energy towards a business, a craft, or something. That's the best thing I ever did, bro. Like, put that energy towards yourself if you want to, to build yourself, you know, to do all those good habits like nofap, meditate, put that energy towards that, bro. Put that energy towards the gym. Combine those things, bro. But when you have nothing to do, bro, like me, I was always procrastinating and I was just bitching about society. Now I don't do as, I still kind of do a bit, but I don't do as much because, bro, literally, it won't serve my purpose either, watching those distractions or bitching about people that watch distractions more serves my purpose. You know, it's— yes, those distractions are trash, kind of evil, because it's like you're literally— they're literally stealing your time away and they're addicted. And bro, put that same energy towards a craft, bro. If it's YouTube channel, put that same energy towards that, bro. I swear to God, I swear to God, that's gonna be the best thing you can ever do, bro. You know, the reason why I speak with so much conviction is simply because I was There too, I was the same as you, bro. Was the same. Literally always, always had those negative talks about society and everything. I still kind of do, like I said, but bro, like, when I do things like YouTube, when I do things like reading my books, when I go to the gym, that's what I focus on. My mind is focusing on those things. It's worrying about those things, not worrying about a fake society. I'm worrying about improving myself. And so my future self will be able to maybe, for example, live free from, you know, all those distractions, you know what I mean? Like, literally one of my, my goal, like, in the past was to, you know, just live without like any distraction, bro. Just live like, like, literally like get money and then be financially free and just walk around, no distractions. Nothing can, like, nothing can, uh, distract my mind. I'll just walk in nature and do everything. That was my goal, bro. That's it. All that energy, all that energy, bro, negative or positive, put that towards a craft or something. Put that towards a purpose, something that's gonna be meaningful to you. If you start a business helping people, that's gonna be meaningful to you. If you start whatever, even if it's a business just selling products, you're helping people too. Like, understand this, bro. I know living in a world of distractions, of the Matrix or something, boy, I'm not gonna say it's trash, but it's like, see the positive, bro. You can literally do so much just because you live in a world of distraction. Just because you live in a world of distractions, in a Matrix, that's why you're on a sort of like self-improvement journey. That's why you're literally trying to improve your life. That's just really— that's really because of this, bro. Start seeing the things positively, bro. Literally, you can't— like, you gotta know, bro, you're so— you're worth way more than you think, bro. You literally— you can literally do anything. Like, I saw you can do anything. You can be a millionaire, bro. Like, you think you're— you're nothing, bro. That— that's how I used to feel. I thought I was like, oh, all those YouTubers like 1, 2 Cut, Special. So like, these people can do like whatever they want. Like, these people can— are worth more than me. Like, they can do this YouTube stuff and have such a following just because, you know, they're worth more than me. But that's not true, bro. Like, these people like me, like, we used to talk that, no, we're not worth it. But then we try things and, you know, we change our self-image. Now we think, okay, I can be that too. Why can't I be like Van Sukkah? Why can't I be like Hamza Yusuf? Why can't I be like Jordan Reed? Why can't I— these people were normal people too. That's what you don't understand, but you're worth so much. You can do the same, but you can do whatever you want. You have the potential to do anything. You have the potential to live your dreams. Stop putting that same energy that you can put towards your dream, towards your potential, stop putting it towards a freaking society, freaking, you know, talking down on this society and just talking down distractions. Yes, distractions are there, but if they don't affect you, if you don't indulge them, then it's cool, bro. Like, it's cool. Like, bro, you're worth so much. You cannot keep on just, just like talking, talking, talking, bro. Stop talking and put— start putting that action, bro.
