I've Left NoFap For This...

Samir Gardner argues NoFap's streak-counting approach creates shame and anxiety instead of lasting change. He proposes deprioritizing porn and masturbation entirely rather than fighting urges, and shares how two friends quit without any NoFap framework by simply deciding to stop.

I've left NoFap and it was one of the best decisions that I've made in my entire life. I literally stopped doing all of these NoFap things such as counting the days, worrying about if I'm going to relapse or not, constantly trying to fight it, trying to fight the urges, trying to fight the temptation, and I just gave up basically. Now look, I'm saying this, I've helped countless men actually quit porn and masturbation forever. And I'm making this video because the whole idea of NoFap doesn't work. What works is going about it in an effortless way. If you're out there actually counting the days, seeing if you're gonna succeed or not, thinking about, why am I gonna relapse? Oh no, I need to fight the urge today. Oh, I've been clean for the past few weeks. If that's what's on your mind, then I'll just let you know right now, you're gonna be failing a lot and for a long time. And the reason being is that this is all based on lies. Nothing— all of these concepts have been created by humans based on their opinion and hypothesis, and not the actual objective truth backed by either science any empirical evidence. For example, people say, I'm gonna fight off the urge. But what is an urge? An urge will literally like imply that you have like zero control over that and that, you know, it's just gonna be there and that it's gonna appear the same way anger appears when you have an AFK. But if you really look at it, you only feel the quote-unquote urge when you feel down, not when you feel good. So is it like a biological urge, or is it just you having the desire to to numb your emotions in that moment being, because if that's the case, then that means that it's not a urge, it's just a desire to consume whatever you think will help you feel better. And I've been looking at all of this porn recovery stuff, this NoFap stuff, and they're all just trying to make it the center of their lives. And whenever they fail, or whenever they succeed, and whenever they fail, it's almost as if like their whole life has been destroyed. I'll tell you right now, porn is just a little problem in your life, of course it is sinful. And that's the thing, you gotta really differentiate between NoFap and actually God. Yes, it is sinful. Okay, we know this. There are so many other things that are sinful that maybe you've done in the past. Like for example, it might be lying. Maybe if you've looked at girls lustfully a lot, maybe even you jerked off and you didn't reach the point of releasing. And guess what? For all of those things, you didn't really feel as bad. You only felt bad, but you knew that, you know what, I'm just gonna ask for forgiveness, right? Right, that you're gonna repent. But when it comes to this specifically, the moment you release, you feel like you just ended your streak that has been going on for so many weeks and months, and you feel the worst you ever felt in your entire life. Not because of your faith, because we know that God forgives, right, but because of this whole movement that you've been believing in, that you need to quit porn masturbation, and that if you don't, then you're gonna fail, and that you're gonna be addicted, and that you're gonna have urges, and that your life is going to be ruined, whatever. And of course, porn has definitely sort impact on your life. You gotta realize that this is not something you should feel extremely shameful for, not only because it is not going to help you, meaning that if you just feel shame instead of analyzing, like, you know, if you— if what you did was even worth it in the first place, and that, um, why you decided to do it and everything, which could actually help you realize if you want to keep doing this or not in the long term, all you're doing is you're thinking about, oh my God, you know, this feels so bad, why did 'Why have I done this?' So you're not thinking clearly, and then you're just going to quote unquote repeat the same step. But also, the thing is, yes, okay, you might feel a bit of shame, but you don't need to feel the most shame you've felt in your entire life. That's not going to help you. That's not even going to motivate you to quit. Okay, that's what NoFap has been telling you, but that's not true. In many of my videos, I explain the story, the story of two of my close friends who literally quit porn and masturbation the moment they decided to and never really felt like going back to it. And the key thing is both of them didn't know that they had to recover from porn because they've been watching it and that they needed to be on this NoFap movement. They just thought, you know what, I need to, I want to leave this because it's going to help me in these ways. So let me see how it is. I don't care about, they didn't even know that there was such a thing as a streak or that they're going to have withdrawals or that they're going to have urges or that they're going to be an addict. They didn't think of those things. They just thought, you know what, let me leave this. So guess what? Because they believed in those lies, then their actions were, then it was way easier for them. It wasn't even a question of am I going to succeed or fail? It was just a question of I want to do this. So really think about it. The best thing you can do, okay, is see this right here, the book The Fortest Veteran, okay, which is gonna be maybe released, uh, in the near future. In this book, okay, I talk about how you just need to go and let go of this whole NoFap ideology. And on top of that, to help you further, you can watch or consume information that will challenge your beliefs that you hold regarding the value that you associate with porn or masturbation. And then Once you learn those things, you just go and move on from your life, pursue that vision you always wanted to pursue, pursue those goals, pursue that lifestyle, and decrease the importance that quitting porn has in your life. And man, it is literally going to change everything for you. And I'm going to be honest, okay, I'm making this video and I'm kind of like shooting myself in the foot, okay? Because if you understand, if you understand my perspective, if you understand the business behind coaching, because I am a coach, I have a paid mentorship, as you probably know, I could just be telling you right here, you know what, it's going to ruin your life forever. You're not going to be able to do anything. Oh, you relapsed after 90 days. Well, you're going to be an addict again. The devil is controlling you. You're cursed. I could be telling you all of those things, but no, I genuinely just want people to actually quit, right? This is what I want to be remembered for when I die, right? I don't want to make this emotional or anything, but this is literally the key to quitting. The key to quitting, as ironic as it seems, is literally doing the opposite of what NoFap has been telling you. The easiest way to prove this is just look at the other bad habits or the other like high dopamine habits you used to do in the past that you just left behind because you decided to do so. Well, guess what? You didn't have a concept such as NoFap for these bad habits. You just genuinely thought, okay, maybe I should leave video games because it's not really serving me anymore. I could play video games with real life. Let me try playing video games with real life and you'll see it's way better. But when you're obsessed over recording porn, you're obsessed over like a bunch of different concepts, what happens is it consumes your mind and makes you feel scared. And because of that, you're not thinking clearly. And because of that, quitting just becomes an emotional decision. And emotional decisions are almost never the right decisions. So really think about it and be open-minded. Don't even believe me blindly and just think, oh, Samir's right because he coached other people and helped them quit forever without relapsing. No, like actually take your time and understand what I'm saying here. And then at one point, just like leave everything behind when it comes to quitting porn and just live your life. Without masturbation. And you're gonna see, it's gonna be beautiful. This is what the true freedom is gonna look like with definitely this method. So anyways, if you wanna be coached by me one-on-one, you can book a call with me in the description. I also have a free private community that you can join with a full 2-hour course that you can watch on the subconscious alternation so that you can get to the root cause. Anyway, Samir Gardner, peace.
