Leveling Up In Life Is Easy

Samir Gardner argues that leveling up comes from small daily actions that compound over time, not dramatic efforts. He spends roughly one hour daily on YouTube, drawing, or working out, and says years of these micro-habits dramatically increase skill and success odds. The trap is expecting fast results and quitting; instead, aim for 0.1% improvements and stress-free consistency.

What's good, y'all? It's your boy Samir Gardner. Hope y'all doing good. So, leveling up in life is easy. Now, this is not like some ego stuff, but a lot of people on self-improvement, when they first start off, when they're trying to improve their life, you know, they see progress and everything. Now they're like, I want to reach bigger goals. I want to do this. I want to build muscles. I want to lose weight. I want to, you know, all those goals. Like, I want to be a professional basketball player. I don't know anything. Now the problem is people then look at the process of that thing and they'll be like, oh, it's too— it's gonna take too much time. It's gonna take too much time. It's good. Like, it's either you put in a lot of effort or it's either you, you wait with so much of— like, no, actually it's both. You, you're gonna have put in a lot of effort and you're gonna have to wait. And people don't want to wait. People don't want to wait. That's why me, I do everything for my future self. Because look, you gotta see it like this, okay? If you have a goal, let's say you want to be whatever, like you want to be a— like, we're gonna do like, like me, you want to be a YouTuber. Now, now look, I've made probably like around like 100 videos. The thing I'm doing right now is I'm just practicing YouTube. I'm not even trying to— I'm not making videos. I know I'm not gonna make money. I know I'm not gonna, you know, I'm not gonna get like famous or anything right now. That's not my goal right now. My goal right now is to be better at speaking, be better at making videos, be better at improving my life. These are my goals, okay? And what I do is I do small actions every day towards that goal. Because many people, for example, they want— like me, I want 100K on YouTube, for example. Now I know I'm not gonna get there overnight. That's what a lot of people miss out. Like, they think they're gonna get there in a few days, a few months, and that's why they give up, because they realize now it's not going to take a few days or a few months. Instead, what you got to do is put in small actions every day, okay? That's what I do. For example, I want to be a professional drawer. I want to do like mangas and everything. And what I do is every day I, I'll like, I'll, um, draw and I'll do some like manga-related stuff for like an hour or 30 minutes. It depends. But I do this every day consistently. That's how I make progress. Instead of trying to put in like 10 hours one day and then saying that it's too hard and you didn't make progress. But with time, you're gonna make progress. Now you gotta see it like this, okay? Let's say, let's say you're 15, right? And you start, you start making YouTube videos. You start making YouTube videos now when you're 15. And then let's say you're in 2 years, you're 17. Now, now let's say you're 17 right now, but you were 15 in and you started making videos at 15. Now you see between 15 and 17, you've made so much progress that a lot of people don't have right now. You have 2 years of experience, 2 years of experience. Now add to, and keep, well, I can't talk. And then look, from 15 to 17 and then to 19, you've been putting like consistently uploading like me, like every day or, once a week or twice a week or 4 times a week, whatever, but consistently every day, like every week or anything, just imagine the progress. Just imagine the results. Imagine the— how confident you will be on camera, or like how much experience you will have, bro. That's what a lot of people miss out. They were— let's say instead when you were 15, you tried YouTube and you see— you didn't see no results. So you just stop. But let's say you did it for 4 years, your probability of being successful on YouTube is gonna be higher because you tried way more time. You didn't upload 10 videos and give up. You uploaded like 1,000 videos. That's what you gotta see because you've put in the small actions. You didn't just put like 10 hours into one video once a year. You put in like, you put in like maybe 30 minutes each video for like every day for 4 years. You know how much progress is that? You know how much progress that's gonna give you? And that's what I do pretty much like for every of my habits, okay? Yeah, I want to reach this, I want to reach that. I just do things for my future self because I know like time flies by, okay? Time flies by. You cannot get your time back, basically. So instead of doing nothing with my life, why not I just do something that's gonna make me more confident, that's gonna make my life sort of like not comfortable, but you know, like, will make my life just better in general, will make my life like, because I'll be more confident, I'll be more maybe happy, I'll be more like anything, just because I've put in with the time I have Because time flies by. There's 24 hours in one day, okay? Now just imagine if you do, in those 24 hours, you do 1 hour of YouTube every day, 1 hour of, uh, recording videos. Just 1 hour, okay? Like me, I just do 1 hour. And then after 24 times, 24 hours times 365, just do this for 1 year. Like, it's not that hard. Just 1, 1 hour, just 1 hour. You you do this consistently, in one year, bro, you'll make so much progress. And one year, you'll make so much progress. But if you didn't do anything, then the progress wouldn't even be there, and you wouldn't want to start. That's why I can't understand why, you know, people that are more older, like 50, 60, they don't want to start. Like, they pretty much gave up on life because they didn't want to— they can't start something because it's For example, a business, they can't start the business. Yeah, they can, but they don't want to like wait 10 years to be successful. They know they might take 10 years. They know that it might take 5 years. And someone who's 18, even if it takes 25 years, it's still like 25 years. It'll still be like 40-something. It'll still be like 40 years old. So it doesn't really matter for him. So You gotta understand, put in small actions every day because time flies by. And if you utilize just a bit of your time, just putting it— if your goal is to build muscle, just be consistent, do workouts, eat healthy. But don't make it too hard and don't make it too, like, too time-consuming. Make it small actions. And if you want to, like, if you want to make it bigger, like, bigger actions or anything because you find it fun or anything, then do it. But for example, me, YouTube, I do 1 hour every day, 1 hour every day. Sometimes I, I don't even need to record because I already got like a lot of videos, but 1 hour every day. And I know I've made so much progress since just watching my first video, bro. I watched my first video, I've made so much progress. And I know, like, I just trust time because I know, okay, in 1 month, 1 month will have passed by, and in this 1 month I would have done like 30 hours of YouTube. So that's a lot of progress. So imagine this in 1 year, imagine this in 5 years, imagine this in 10 years. Bro, there's no way I'm not gonna be successful. You know what I mean? That's how you gotta sit, bro. So also, it like, it makes you not stress about things because you're like, bro, I'm just gonna do things for my future self. I'm not gonna stress over like doing 16 hours of work today and than being like, you know, overworked or something. Like, bro, just calm down, bro. Your things— just do consistent actions. That's the best way, I think, to make progress, okay? Just try to improve by like 0.1% every day or something, uh, in any aspects you want, okay? So that's it for the video. Hope y'all like it.
