In this monologue Samir Gardner argues that the pervasive over‑sexualization of women is not driven primarily by biology, testosterone, or addiction, but by the meanings and beliefs men attach to women’s bodies. He claims that only about 5 % of the drive to lust is biological; the remaining 95 % stems from learned associations that equate women’s bodies with status, achievement, worth, and personal validation. Gardner illustrates this with personal anecdotes about his own insecurity, a hypothetical scenario where a woman turns out to be a man, and a Lamborghini analogy that shows how objects become objects of desire when they are imbued with symbolic value. He explains that once a person becomes aware of the specific meanings they assign to women, they can consciously change their reaction and stop over‑sexualizing. The talk is framed as a coaching lesson, urging listeners to shift from blaming nature or addiction to recognizing and reshaping the underlying meaning structures that fuel lust.

you can actually stop oversexualizing women. It's actually very simple. It's just that most people do not know what's really going on. They think it's just their nature. They think it's just because they are men, they have testosterone, or because they're addicted, they've been doing it for so long. And none of that is true. That's only maybe 5% of the equation. The rest, the 95%, is something that I've been coaching people on for the past few years, and it's going to blow your mind. Let me ask you a question. Imagine you were walking in public and suddenly you see a beautiful woman and she's dressed in a way that really gets your attention, let's say. And you just can't seem to look away. You tell yourself, "No, I don't wanna look," but you keep on looking and you're like, "Just one more time," and you can't really look away. Now imagine she turns around like this and she looks behind. And you see it's actually a man dressed like a woman, what's going to happen? Are you going to keep on lusting over, fantasizing about her body, about how intimacy would be with her? Or would you be, "Let me just not even think about it anymore. Let me remove these thoughts right now." And that begs the question, is it really the body? Is it really just something physical, something biological, something natural that you do because you are a man, you're full of testosterone, and whenever you see a woman, your eyes will just go there and you can't really help yourself? Or is it the meaning that you attach to the body? Look, most people think, okay, I just lust because she has a beautiful body. And I'm not saying that people do not have certain types of preferences. Some people like people that are more slim, some people like people that are more on the heavier side. But does that mean that you will just automatically sexualize a woman and think about having intimacy with her, keep on staring at her body whenever she's in front of you, whether it be on your screen, whether it be in real life? Think about it. What's really going on is very simple. The meaning you attach to women is what's driving you to lust. I've been coaching people for a few years, so I've seen common patterns. For example, someone might think, okay, if I sleep with a woman, I'll have more status because I believe that only valuable men are able to sleep with women. So you see the meaning that the woman's body has? If that woman finds me attractive, or if I can sleep with her, or if I can marry her, and have intimacy with her, then it will show that I'm attractive. If I sleep with her, very common, it will be like an achievement. Let's say, for example, for me, when I grew up, I would be the shy kid, the people pleaser. And I really, really wanted the attention from women. I really wanted to be with them and I would never get it. And I would see my friends bragging about how they're able to have these women, how they are in relationships, and they were popular because of that. They were more valuable in that sense. So I thought if I could be with beautiful women, it will be like an achievement. It would give me status, it will make me feel attractive, and so on. More commonly, I'll be worthy, I'll be valuable. And there's so much more that goes into it. The point I'm trying to make is that do not lust and oversexualize women because it is your nature, but because of the things you attach to that woman's body. And once you become aware of that, once you become conscious of the meaning you attach to that woman's body, and you realize, oh, I'm actually lusting because of that, that's when you can actually change your reaction and stop oversexualizing women. Because you also want to stop blaming lust or addiction or dopamine or This is just how I am. I understand that it feels that way. It feels like I just can't look away. I've been there before. What you need to understand is it's not something that you do because you lose control over yourself, because your impulses, your desires, your nature, your body takes over. If that was the case, then you would lust even when you would see a man that has the body shape of a woman, and you would lust uncontrollably whenever you see anyone. But that's not the case. To give you a final example, imagine you see a Lamborghini. For some people, a Lamborghini is just a nice car, a car that can go fast, and it doesn't mean too much. It's just, yeah, I know this is an expensive car and it's pretty nice. But for other people, they see a Lamborghini and they just stare at it and they're like, oh my God, man, this is so nice. Can I test drive it? I would dream of having something along those lines. They kind of have, as you can see, a similar reaction as other people do with women and lust. Why is it that they have that sort of reaction? When it comes to that Lamborghini? Is it because of the shape of the car? Is it because the car has a nice color? Or because it's a new model never seen before? It's the meaning they attach to the car. It's maybe them thinking, if I have this Lamborghini, I'll be able to feel like I finally made it in life. All of those people that doubted me, I'll be able to take revenge. Or I'll finally be attractive in the eyes of women because I'll have a car that no one else has. Therefore, I'll be able to attract anyone. If my mom sees me with a Lamborghini, she will be proud of me, and that will mean the world to me. It's all about meaning. It's not about lust.
