You Probably Eat Like Trash

Most people eat processed foods that lack the nutrients their bodies need. A 1930s study of isolated populations showed people eating whole foods had 6 to 49 times more minerals and vitamins, with better teeth and health. You can make nutrient-dense foods taste good by learning recipes and adapting familiar dishes.

Let's be honest, most people choose what tastes good or what stimulates their brain instead of eating what is nutritious and what is going to build the body. Let's be honest, even you, even me, we choose what we think tastes good, what satisfies our taste buds, even though it doesn't satisfy, just creates more craving. Instead of eating the food that's literally going to make our skin glow, that's literally going to build our muscle, that's literally going to build our bones, that's literally going to make us strong. Literally, bro, when we look at the impact of food on people, it's big. It's big. You look, there's a great, great, great book. If you're deep into like nutrition lifting, I recommend you read it. It's called Nutrition and Physical Degeneration. That's basically a book where like this guy in 1930 and 1940, he went to visit like primitive people, like people that live like tribes in, in like, not in jungles, but you know, some live like, for example, uh, the Eskimos, some, some live like in Africa, some live in New Zealand, like people that were isolated. You know, these people only had the food that they had on their land. They didn't have food that came at the grocery store or something. They didn't have this. They hunted for the food, or they basically made their food. So for example, I'll give you an example. The first group you encounter in this book is, uh, Switzerland. Like, it's some people that live like in the mountains and everything, and they only eat like two things, bro. They eat rye bread or whole wheat bread with dairy and meat. They only eat this. What you gotta understand is these people eat what's nutritious. Like, yes, you might say dairy and meat is not good for you. We're not going to talk about this, but for example, let's take another one. Um, let's talk about Eskimos, or like any— like people that live like in North Canada, in Alaska. These people literally eat only the food that comes from the land, that's straight from nature. And guess what? They had no— like, the teeth were perfectly treated. It was like maybe 1%, 1 to 5% that people, uh, teeth were like affected. The teeth was like perfect, the health was perfect, they were strong. Like, bro, it was literally like a guy that lived on an island, it was literally like buffed, like it was buff, like, like he was going to the gym or something. But like, this guy just stays active all day, just eats clean, he eats like fish and all the organs. You know what I mean? Like these people eat their native food and they feel good. And you know, it's crazy because I know I'm going deep, but food can literally affect how you act and everything. Yes, like the environment, like other people around you can affect how you act, but food can literally affect how you act. You look at in this book when people lived very primitively, like living off their land, living off nature. And when they changed for like white flowers, you know, imported stuff like white flowers, sugar, like canned vegetables, like all, all, all the like trash stuff that people don't need, they started having deficiency. And now because of the deficiency, they basically started just like You know, they started having like all those bad things. Like, I won't say too much, like, you know, tuberculosis, like all those diseases that people don't want. But like, you know, flat feet and like, uh, what's the name, like this, like, bro, their body was deformed, literally. Now I'm not saying like this is gonna happen to you if you have a trash diet, but we gotta look at the importance of diet, bro. What many people don't understand is you can eat what you think is not tasty and make it good. You can make it tasty, bro. Anything that's nutritious, you can make it tasty. You don't like broccoli? All right, then look up a recipe on YouTube for broccoli. How to make broccoli taste better. How to make broccoli with this dip. And it's Like, bro, you don't like beef liver, for example, then you can literally search up on YouTube a very, very good tasting liver recipe that you'll end up craving beef liver, bro. Like me, you end up craving it and your taste buds adapt. But I don't feel like that's a strong motivator for people to just say your taste buds will adapt because most people want, like they're emotionally attached to the food they eat. You're emotionally attached to eating like your McDonald's hamburger, then you can make your own. Like literally you go on YouTube, search up how to make healthy McDonald's hamburger. Literally, bro, literally. When you look at the people that were living very primitively, like the tribes and the isolated people, their nutrient intake was like at least 5 times ours. Like And it was at that time, you know, things were processed, but they probably weren't as processed as they are right now. They literally— for example, calcium was literally like at least 6 times the daily recommendation. People don't even get to the daily recommendation, and then they had at least 6 times. Phosphorus, 10 times. Iodine, some people like were living They had like 49 times the daily like recommendations. Magnesium, they had all those minerals, all those vitamins were like up so much. That's why these people don't get sick. That's why these people build this body that you're like, how are they so strong? Like, I'm not saying like you're only strong because of food, but how are they living like not perfect life, but they live like Elf is the only thing that exists. They don't get sick. They probably get sick like once every 10 years. I don't know. We gotta understand, even me, like recently with Ramadan, everything, bro, I ate like some— I mean, I ate some— I'll say like, to me it's kind of like not nutritious, but I ate like some sort of like, uh, bakery things like croissant and everything. I don't like— I'm not saying like I'm not proud or I don't feel proud, but you know, if I ate, for example, instead of eating— if, if let's say I was eating this consistently every day, if I, for example, uh, croissant every day— like, I'm not gonna say croissant, but, uh, let's say I eat some candy every day. Like, no, candy is too bad, bro. Like, we gotta choose like a food that is kind of like bad. Let's say cookies, like some homemade cookies. Like, for me, bro, I'm not gonna eat homemade cookies except if I make them myself, okay? I mean, just people like put a lot of sugar and everything. But look, if, if I eat this every day for like my calories intake, for most of my calories intake, then I'm missing out on nutrients for sure. Why? Because Imagine if the same calories I ate in the cookies, I ate like, let's say, some fish, I ate some eggs, I ate some organ animals, I ate some avocado, I ate some vegetables, anything. Imagine if I ate this instead. Then yes, my body is going to be more healthy, my skin is going to be better, everything. It's simple like that, bro. It's great. In the— in this book on Nutrition and Physical Degeneration, He said people— and that was back in 1945, I think— he said people eat for the energy because they want, you know, they want to satisfy their hunger. Even though, like, people don't really eat to satisfy the hunger, they eat to satisfy their taste buds. But look, people don't eat to satisfy their body. Like, you need body material. Yeah, well, you need minerals so you can build your body, you can build your bones, you can build everything in your body, your, like, your blood flow, everything. You need minerals, you need vitamins, you need all those things. And that's one of the things you realize, like, people that live, like, the tribes that live, and the people that were living, like, isolated and live off the land and nature, these people ate to build their body. They didn't eat because, oh, uh, I need to satisfy my hunger. No, because They need to build their body. They need that. Literally, you, you see, they— let's say they catch deer in nature, they catch like this wild animal, okay? They're going to eat the organs because the organs, they know it's nutritious. They're not even going to eat the meat first. They might not even eat the meat. They eat the organs. That's one of the craziest things. It's like we lost the sense, but they got still the sense of, okay, I'm gonna eat what's nutritious. And they know what's nutritious. Animals, animals got this too, but it's crazy. They know what's nutritious and they know what, like, let's say, part of the animal to eat. You see a rat— like, no, that's random— but you see a lion, for example. That was an— there was an example in this book where a lion killed a zebra and he straight went for the organs and he let the rest of the meat just for like the all the other animals that finish, finish off the meat. Literally ate the organs. These people and animals literally have a sort of like sixth sense where they know what food they need for their body, bro. But we lost this because we're not in tune. We're not in tune with ourselves. We are not mindful about like everything. We literally eat with our phone and we literally eat and watch all those things. We don't— we're not mindful. We're just eating for— because we want to eat and have some dopamine in our brain. If we can eat so we can literally build your body— but the thing is, you can literally build your body like this by eating nutritious food, which is critical, but you can make it tasty, bro. Like I said, let's say, let's say you eat white bread, bro. You can literally eat like spelt bread, like rye bread, literally. Like, there's so many possibilities. Like, you can eat— let's say you eat fried chicken, you can literally make your own fried chicken with like some very healthy ingredients. I'm 100% sure. You make a cake, bro. I've made cake that were very healthy and nutritious, literally. Let's do some like real cakes. It's just to say, bro, you don't have any excuse. Build your body, bro. Eat what's gonna build, like, the bodybuilding materials, what's gonna give you the good resources for your body to function well, not only for the brain, but, you know, to build your muscle, to build your lean muscle mass, to build your bones. That's what you need. You need calcium. Like, it's crazy that people that live off the land literally get like 5 times at least, sometimes up to 50 times the daily recommendation that people don't even achieve in a day, bro.
