Hello there.
Say Coca Cola without touching your teeth.
Coca Cola. No touching your teeth.
No. Coca Cola without touching your lips.
Am I just gonna look like I'm sucking in pekka or something? Coca Cola.
What's wrong with you? Just without touching your lips.
Without me touching my lips. Without while my lips touching each other.
Say Coca Cola. Go.
Coca Cola. No. Did they touch? I don't know. To be narrative. No, you do it.
Go on. No, you do it. I'm get shot. No one's really here.
Coca Cola.
What's wrong?
Coca Cola. You just kind of make them.
You don't need to touch Coca Cola. They don't touch.
I feel like I'm. I feel like I was like eating a banana, but there was no banana.
They don't touch and you're like, Coca Cola.
The edges touch. I don't know if I'd let someone have that. If there was like a factual thing. Corners touch.
It was funny either way. Coca Cola. Yeah, but you could still not be a about it.
Oh, you've been so aggressive towards me.
What made your day then? Mate?
My day was. Do you remember I bought that POV gum that you fucking hated? Yeah. All around Australia. Annoying the shit's like, with the noise.
Just noise. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
What do we have now?
Yeah, POV cams. Yeah, yeah.
But nah, wait, you haven't got to the best bit. So Owen took his and then he realized it's pretty much out of battery, so he had to use mine.
Did he?
I was so happy. I was like, yeah, the system all along.
Yeah.
Oh, because I've got interchangeable batteries.
A couple of batteries for any. Surely the new ones are better than his ones.
I'm always back.
Nah.
Yeah, I made her tell me last night. I literally messaged Susie and was like, what the is the difference between this camera? Oh, apparently mine dominates. Really?
Yeah. All right, fair enough.
Yeah. It went underwater. You watched a whale swim past with it.
Dominate. That was a GoPro. Is yours a GoPro?
Nah, it's better than a GoPro. I'm reliably insured.
Huh.
Someone was wearing at some point in the sea. I was. When I was dying.
This is the perfect time for that exact clip.
Ah, you fucking. Are you good or no? What? Are you good or no? Nah. What do you mean? I mean me.
When we tried to go snorkeling. That's a funny story where we made the girls wait for like an hour. So we decided on Australia along with a few other of our terrible choices. As well as swimming with bull sharks. If you've not heard that episode, to go snorkeling. And we only had one day left in this particular part of the world, and we were like, fuck it, we're going to go to the snorkel shop and buy all the gear and risk our lives. So we go in and we meet the guy. Is his name Dave? It's a South African guy.
Yeah.
Called Dave. He's like, yo, go kazi. What's going on?
Yeah, he's giving it all,
like, beer belly, scuba diver, long hair.
Could have been called Donatello.
Beer dish. Could have been called Michelangelo, one of the turtles. Anyway. And, you know, flip flops. Bored guy. We'll get an AI version of him because there might not be a real version.
In fact, let's find his shop.
Yeah, let's find a shop. There's his shop. All the best with that.
Yeah.
So we pull up and we're off to see Dave. So we're finding this snorkel shop. It's the only one open on Google Maps. And we just fuck off to a shop for a good hour or so, going through all the different snorkel options, trying on masks.
I was trying not to buy them.
He was trying not to buy them. You were trying to get him to buy them. So a peer pressure in Kirkey. Dave's getting involved in the peer pressure. He's showing us videos of him bumping into great white sharks. And that probably should have been a red flag at that point.
Yeah. But it was.
Anyway.
It was also an exciting video.
We endure. Yeah, it was an exciting video. Oh, what did he say? He said, you'll be fine because you work with dogs.
He did say that. He did say that.
Are you sure this is safe? To which he replied, you'll be fine if you work with dogs. And you know what?
We were.
Makes sense.
Yeah. Got you.
Sounds legit.
Don't they call some breeds land sharks at some point? Yeah, because we've got this.
He said no. He's like, no, bro. You'd be able to read the body language of the dog. Huh? Yeah, yeah. If you can read a bloody dog, you can. He was an Indian, by the way. He was South Africa. I'm just gonna give it my best go. Hey, Bruce, you can read. If you can read a dog brew, you can definitely read a shark aim. That's.
That's. That was pretty good.
Terrible. So obviously we were like, yeah, makes sense. Wearing. So we buy all the gear. There's a picture of Mutnut in his gear right here. There you Are meanwhile our girlfriends, not our birds. Apparently, that's not allowed anymore. Our girlfriends, not his. Has left him. Our girlfriends. He actually caught depression on this trip.
Yeah.
Anyway, that's also a different episode. I've been waiting in the hot van, very hungry all this time, hungry. And I checked my phone and it's just going off with messages. Where are you? How long are you gonna be? What the are you doing? I'm with the boys. My new South African boo, Dave, talking. He's hyping us up saying, like, you can deal with sharks, no problem.
Yeah, Cage. Cage. Yeah, all right, fair enough.
What are you prune, right? No, yeah, you know, you're right. So she's going off. You know, that's gone in the pocket. And, yeah, we go and buy all the gear. We buy all the most expensive shit he possibly got. We're like, Dave, we want this to be the best experience it possibly can be. So go ahead and put us down for the best gear you've got, Dave. And we just slide him some cash. We just slide him those pineapples, right, 50s. We get back to the car. That's something to be scared of. They're fucking biting our heads off. Yeah, like sharks talk. Great whites. They're fucking livid.
I was scared for you.
Yeah. Yeah. They actually give a level of perspective where you're no longer scared of the sharks. It's like proprioception. You've endured that. Throw me in the air. Yeah, happily so. Anyway, they're limited with how much we've spent, how long it's taken. Deep down, they're livid of how much fun we've had. That's what other significant others do, you know? You have a good time with the boys, then? Aren't you happy about it? So anyway, we go back to the. The. The best house in the world. That tree house. There it is. Ping a picture up there, pops, and yeah, snorkel day is upon us. It's that same day, I think we're leaving the next day. Right.
So we.
We've had to source the snorkels. We've had to have a shark behavior 101. We've had to just get generally hyped. We've had to have the fear of God put in us by our significant others, not his. I think they kind of used him at one point as a point of reference of what might happen if we continue our behavior. Anyway, you want to look like him. You want to be. You want depression. Like this guy. This long greedy. This long greedy, depressed.
Or ingredient of food sense.
Yeah, that's true. Everybody like, and we go, we attempt to stalk it.
I like you. You kind of change that a little.
Yeah, yeah.
So I think at one point we
said to Dave though, is today like this is our last day? Dave?
Yeah.
Is today a good day to snorkel? He said, absolutely, bro. We just got to go here. He then drew a map, like a treasure map for us. He could have just got it on Google Maps and. But he drew a map like a treasure map. Don't go there. There's sharks there. And Also just like 50 foot down, there's sharks there too. You want to go in this cove
here and obviously they never ever can cross over.
Yeah, no, no, they don't like waves apparently.
Yeah, makes sense.
Yeah.
Yeah.
In hindsight maybe it doesn't make much sense. And we say it out loud on a podcast. Yeah. So we go snorkeling. You get injured pretty early, I'm gonna
say we went snorkeling. There was some head in water with snorkel thing.
Action, bruv. To summarize, I saw one fucking fish. I was expecting to see fucking turtles, stingrays, hopefully some sharks, which I'd fucking just use my dog training powers just to fucking seize them around the fucking in the gills.
Yeah, I've seen your body language there, sharky fellow, and I'm not happy with it.
Yeah, I don't know, I don't like how you're looking at me, but I've played knifey spoony before off I saw
mostly sand on my own feet.
I just saw.
Well, yeah, especially one foot because obviously
we had a flipper based incident.
Yeah.
And we can only apologize for polluting your wonderful country, Australia.
Because Kirsty, Kirky, I felt like Kirsty at the time.
Okay, we gotta be careful that Kirsty lost the flipper. Yeah, he hurt his knee and pre existing I was wondering what the fuck he was doing. You have never seen a man look so not at home in water. Yeah, crazy. But yeah, you got very decent, dense bones apparently.
Got a bit of metal in there. Metal.
He sinks. We do. So you didn't get past like knee depth, I don't think.
No, almost mid thigh at one point, but I think the wave pushed me back so I went quickly back down to knee.
You were really, you were. It was basically like a visual representation of behavioral fallout with the dog. And this is our token dog training reference for the podcast. Nice. One step forward, two steps back.
Because we also said that if you ever go Swimming with sharks. You'll be okay if you know dogs. Correct.
Oh, yeah. So there's two. Yeah. You lucky.
Oh, look at value.
Wow. Just throwing out a bit of value. Christ. So I don't know what really got us here anyway. We didn't see any fish. We had a big old fat I told you so from the females.
Oh, that was the worst bit.
Yeah. We had to lie and say it went well initially.
Yeah.
And then they just had to have one look at the water. We left them at home to sunbathe. Yeah. We were at the beach. We then got in the car and drove to get sushi. They walked to the beach. We weren't there, remember?
Yeah.
Which weirdly made him even more mad.
It's almost like salt was rubbed into some open wounds.
Brooks texting Simon going, where are you? He's literally eating sushi. They're hungry.
Still hangry?
Yeah, very. I kind of get it. Maybe.
Oh, I totally understood it.
Yeah.
It was hard to argue the point. Yeah.
Yeah. At that point we have no leg to stand on. Especially you having lost me a flipper that's still there right now. Malulaba Beach.
I'd like to think a one legged guy found it and he's making real good use of it right now.
I hope some Lieutenant Dan.
Yeah, that'd be great.
Yeah.
It could have happened.
Or it's wrapped around a turtle's neck. Hopefully not.
See my feet.
Yeah, that's true.
Just swim straight through it.
That is true.
Be fine.
Yeah. I'm surprised you even needed flippers. Turns out Dave was pretty good. Just need to fluff him up a bit.
Yeah.
Tell him they could physically dominate a great white shark.
Like his cash per minute of my enjoyment.
Yeah, yeah, terrible.
But I wouldn't take it back though.
Nah. No, it made a great story.
If anything painful almost drowning story. Yeah, yeah, yeah. All right. What else have you been up to?
I went to Miami on the weekend which was good fun.
Did you see Will Smith?
No, but he does have a. I've fallen out with Will Smith. I think he's an odd. Which is a shame because he's in some great movies. Not that I personally know him, he's just got a bit weird. I know.
Yeah.
Mate. Why? His son's mate or something. And he was just okay with it?
Having my beef with him.
Yeah. But he did then a public apology to his wife for her doing the dirty on him. It was weird. You have to look into it yourselves. I don't know the ins and outs. I may have Made Pete completely made that fucking up. Sorry, Will, if I have. Listen, we're gonna encourage our viewers to fact check that information. He did slap Chris Rock, though.
Is that real?
And then he. I don't know. And then he made some weird new song about enjoying young girls or something. Again, you're gonna want to fact check it. It's just a song.
All right.
He just had. It's just a four from Grace. From his I Am Legend Days.
Yeah.
Which is a great film. Which has a dog in it. There's your third reference. You're welcome.
Look the out.
This is. This is getting dangerously close to becoming a dog training podcast man.
All right, then. What else did you do in the Flow Rider?
Didn't swim with any more sharks. It was too wavy.
You see any gators?
No.
What do you mean?
Generally, as a place, though, it's like you're stepping into a fictional film set.
Yeah.
You ever seen the movie? I hope you have. I'll. I will abruptly leave this podcast if you haven't. The Last Action Hero.
Oh, yeah.
None of these have. How's everyone? And, you know, he obviously goes into the movie. Poster, please, Pops. It goes into the movie.
Yeah.
And everything's, like, just a bit wacky because it's a movie. That's Miami. It's craziest.
Almost real. Just a bit emphasized. Yeah, yeah. It's just.
It's. It is surreal.
Yeah.
The cars, the people, the other stuff.
Yeah.
The asses. I'm going to say it. The asses. It's just nuts. The biggest. The bbw, the bbls or whatever they're called. They're just obscene.
Yeah.
They're not even enjoyable. I'm not gonna even. All right.
Okay. That's hard to. Believe me.
These big juicy asses are awful. Terrible.
I don't know. Might have to go see for my. Yeah. Okay.
Because there's no quad or hamstring development. There's just. Of course. Right.
And surely like a lollipop.
I don't know. Anyway, not that I was looking.
And I buy mechanically, at some point. That's gonna buy him in the book. No pun intended. Pun intended.
Yeah. Yeah, maybe so. Yeah. It was a great place when I met Big Jazz. Went to his big Megalodon marketing place, which was just cool. Met some cool guys and girls, a couple of physios, chiropractors that just kind of grow their business, obviously. Went to some nice restaurants and things with May. It was great. It was great. Lots of dogs.
There wasn't.
Yeah, sort of. Lots of malinois.
Go on. It's the fourth reference book.
Yeah, that is true.
Pretty good.
Yeah. Not bad, eh?
We get to tend them after.
Not bad. Yeah, no, we get to 10. Didn't really do, like, crazy amount.
Went for a run.
I wish I took a video. I did.
I went for a run. Next time you can use one of the POV cams, bro.
Yeah, that is true.
You probably better use mine, though, because it's got anti jiggle.
I went to the hotel where Scarface was filmed and I went to the shop where the chainsaw scene was filmed.
Oh, nice.
Which is now a pharmacy.
All right. Yeah, there it is.
There it is. It's called a csb.
That's where the chainsaw was filmed. And you can pick up your antihistamines. Yes.
And your melatonins.
Brilliant.
Your melatonins.
All right.
Yeah. It was a good place. Thoroughly enjoyable holiday. One of my favorite trips of the year, being my only trip of the year.
Oh, nice. Yeah. Early, though. Early on.
Early doors. Yeah, it was a good one. Dangerously close to tax season, so I am spent right now. If you want to make some sort of donation to the GoFundMe of my life, that'd be helpful to pay me tax bills. Yeah, brilliant. So I went and went for a run in Miami.
Nice. I kind of passed through Miami once. We weren't in Miami properly. We're like outside on a. On a golf resort and I did see a number of alligators and literally in the. In the golf things like on the movie.
That would have been cool. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. That's maybe one thing that was missing from that trip is alligators. Yeah. Didn't see any. Well, in fact, here's one. I got a picture. It's a. I can't remember if it was a turkey or a rooster.
Okay.
I don't know. We're have to have a little look. I know when I see it, but it's just. I've forgotten looking.
Scrolling two seconds.
I can't believe you have to time lapse. It's not that exciting. I don't think it was a bird
in a different country in it.
Yeah. You know, obviously we had the whole brush tucky thing.
Yeah.
In Australia. This was the equivalent in the us. There it is. Yeah. No, it's a rooster.
Oh, yeah, it's definitely a rooster.
No, I know it's a rooster. I wasn't questioning whether the rooster. There's just a lot of them knocking about, which is like a bit of a. It looks like an sa. Brush tucky. Doesn't it? Yeah, like, hey, what's up, homie? Anyway, just after I took this picture of the brush turkey. The us brush turkey. The brush, homie. It was up, man. Some guy comes up to Mei and I ask for a cigarette and then offers us a loaf of bread. And I had to intervene. He got dangerously close to Mei with a loaf of bread. He's like, you want some bread? It's like this smack head looking dude, but in like, like, like a child's outfit or something. He had multiple loaves. I think he had a bag full of it. And then was trying to like force this bread upon her, to which I had to interject, which is crazy because he might have had a fucking piece on him.
Yeah, but it's not the first time you've interjected with someone, is it? I think we've told those stories.
No, I don't think we have.
Have we not?
No.
We should someday.
There's the Rice Krispies story. There's the home intruder story.
Yeah.
Which someone was stood over my bed in the middle of 2am in the morning. A home intruder with a deadly weapon.
These days I could only dream of that.
And it's the Spanish gym.
Oh, come on. Oh, brilliant. Come on. And then. Come on.
Holding your. He's holding your pockets. Oh, this is a terrible idea. Getting spooned by this gigantic man. Well, yep.
Pays you money.
And then the Spanish gypsy story. Yeah, we had a full bout in the middle of Spanish Asda, I guess. Spanish Tesco. Full bout. We'll save it for another podcast, though. That's when we're strapped for ideas.
Yeah. Okay.
Give us a reminder next time. We'll do the. We'll try and relate it.
No, no. Bad thing went down with the bread.
No, I just said mate off and then. But he like give me this strange look, like I was seriously in the wrong. Even though I was like, what the? Like, he was like looking at me like, what the is wrong with you? Why are you getting that mad? Even though he was like pushing his bread near.
Could have been the Welsh accent.
Fuck who do it. But bread away from me now. Bread to heaven. Off. Do your inside.
What the hell is this guy? Jesus.
All right, man, take the bread. I don't even. I don't even need the bread.
If I was that guy, I would have led with the bread first and then asked for a cigarette.
Yeah, like, put your best foot forward. Hey, I got some bread. Hey, listen, do you fancy a trade? Maybe he was just a martyr, if you will. Yeah, I'VE got bread. I've got some leather rags. I've got some silverware. All I'm asking is for a cigarette.
A nondescript pot of ointment.
Yeah.
Snake oil, I believe it is it.
I'm in.
I don't smoke, but turns out, no, I do.
Turns out one in Miami. Just bread and siggies. We'll call this the Bread and Sickie podcast. I did have a seagull, though. A Cuban one.
A real Cuban.
She had to take me into a special room for this particular cigar.
She.
Yes. She said, oh, you won the fancy ones. I said, yes.
I wouldn't want to one would.
I don't want a cigar. I'm only in Miami once. And this one time. So then I'm sat there right outside in this, like, Cuban cafe. Bait. Did you know? You probably would know. You're not like me, but, you know, Miami's just like a Spanish country. I probably spoke to two, like, actual American people. Everyone else just spoke Spanish.
I didn't realize it was that heavy.
But obviously, yeah, to the point. You speak to English to someone and they're like, I don't know what you're saying.
Maybe that's the problem with the bread guy.
Yeah. No habla espanol. No. Oh, bread guy was America. He was one of the few Americans.
He was one of the two American dudes.
Yeah, yeah.
All right, fair enough.
Oh, yeah.
Crazy.
Yeah, yeah. So just like airport, every from start to finish, all the taxi drivers, everyone, it's just Spanish. Fair enough. Big Cuban influx.
Yeah.
If you want to know the history of that, you need to watch the movie Scarface. So I'm sat there outside in this cafe with my big fucking hook hoagie, thinking I'm fucking the bees.
It's big,
you know, I'm not a smoker.
We talking, like, I don't know, three
or four cocks lengths thick.
Thick thing as well. Nah, nah, nah.
And this is my point.
Pencil.
Pencil. So I'm sat there feeling like fucking Tony Montana himself, obviously. And some fucking bloke walks past, completely takes the wind out of my sails. He's got double denim. He's got cowboy boots with legit spurs on. So as he's walking around the road, you go, he's got a handlebar mustache. He has a leather gilet on, like, a waistcoat with biker patches on it. The denim's underneath. Cowboy hat sonnies. And I fucking shit you not. And I. This isn't an exaggeration. I will exaggerate things to make a Story better. I'm fully fucking hold my hands up to that. But this is not one of those instances. He's got a cigar that's probably that thick, that long. It's like a cartoon cigar. Right? It's a legit like cartoon cigar. He's got his hands in his pockets. The bitch is the best thing about it. Walking down the street with his just inhaling the. And I was like, I don't want to do my cigar anymore.
Amazing.
Cuz I felt insufferior insufficient.
He's just like hiding your one.
Yeah.
Smoke coming out of your leg, mate.
N He made mine look like a little rolly or something.
Yeah.
As in front of my girlfriend. Yeah. Again, case in point. It's not a real place. That's just crazy. The graffiti is crazy. If I had to pick anywhere to go on a staff trip, it would definitely be that. You'd have a blast. We'd all just have a blast. It's just crazy walking through. I've seen more G wagons in a weekend in Miami than I have in my entire life.
Crazy.
It was a lot. White ones, pink ones, black ones. That's it really, but cool.
You're just gonna get one.
Black. Yeah, obviously. Black, yellow calipers on the brakes.
Okay. Yeah, that's good. Yeah.
Little blacked out YCA badge on the back. Yeah, that I'd get that in a blacked out badge just on the back. Yeah, I'd swap it for the amg. I'd swap AMG for yca.
Yeah. Okay.
I've thought about this as you probably
did come up off the tongue easy. Yeah, yeah, fair enough.
Just how long we got? We have to run because we have an event on this week. Oh, we got ages. Oh, yeah, we got an event on this weekend. We have got 50 mentees inbound to the. The. Well, what we can only describe as dog training Mecca at this point. They're doing the pilgrimage. Got people coming from Spain, America, I think. Lots of Australians coming over.
Yeah, I saw one.
You bumped into a wild.
Bumped into a wild Australian. I'm walking.
He text me this morning, what should I do? I said go for a walk around Ray Park. Did you go for a coffee? I didn't put two and two together. I didn't think, oh, at that point you guys would be there.
Oh, that was horrible. That was disgusting. Jesus, did that thing just fall out of your.
Yeah. God, that's my ligament.
So I'm wandering around, obviously waffling to the people, telling them like, if we. Dog, professor dog. You Might have to do this and intervene and that. And I look up and I'm like, dog training again.
Some more. Five now. Oh, I'll rein it in. I'll rein it in. Careful.
And I see two figures coming towards me around the corner. And I was like, that's Sean. And he was like, what the hell
are you doing here, mate?
Pretty much how it went. We shook hands.
You were more surprised to see him than he was you.
Yeah, yeah.
Your background. Yeah.
Anyway, we set up pleasantries. He asked if you could tag along, so he came with us.
And then, beauty of the mentorship program. You can shadow us whenever you want.
Whenever you want.
Hang around with us. He basically pairs to be your friend. That's okay, Sean.
To be my friend. Good guy.
There you go.
I'll give him a refund. Nope, I won't refund. We've got a text mailed up.
Oh, yeah.
And then he came to Hickory's with us. Classic Friday afternoon.
Classic Friday afternoon. Hickory still got your 100 streak to Hickories?
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Nice.
Never in doubt this week. Solid group.
Yeah, I heard they're a good bunch.
Yeah, a good bunch. Owen. Owen got. You can imagine. I kind of felt sorry for Sean. We've not had a dig at Owen yet. This podcast.
No, that's true. We need to go.
I felt sorry for Sean.
Did you palm Sean after Owen?
No, I didn't, but.
But commandeered him.
Yeah. Sean took a seat and then I went. Just kind of gravitated towards him and I tried to split it up, but it was just like, you know that movie Alien, where the thing just jumps and then he just waffle to him for so much period of time.
That is Owen in a nutshell. Yeah, that is Owen. Verbal oral. You know, you can.
You know, you can tell why, though, because, like, he's added a letter to his name.
Yeah.
So he wants to say more. Yeah, Unnecessarily more, actually. You could have done that with less.
You really didn't need that extra no. I vowel in there. Yeah. Really?
Nah, but I.
You know, unless we're calling you owing. Yeah, which would be fair enough. Anyway, I wonder if we can ask the Japanese guy how to say owain. I doubt it.
But surely he's up there now.
Yeah. How to pro. We got.
We got a bit of food with the mentees tonight. Yeah, A couple of mines that do a keen.
Bruv. Bruv.
Brilliant.
This is crazy.
I'm excited.
Lost for words. Right.
Unlike.
So we're gonna finally put to Bed. Yeah. Completely opposite. We're gonna. We're gonna.
It's gonna be amazing.
I am just.
I shut up my dopamine.
Looking at Julian's pronunciation guide, turns out he's not Japanese.
Look, he's.
No. Definitely European.
Like this other curious word. But how do you say.
Okay, that's not the word we're looking for. But just for reference, Owen, which is how you apparently pronounce it, should be spelt O, W, E, N. Yeah, usually. Unless he's Welsh. But. Well, anyway. But he spells it O, W, A, I, N. Hence the unnecessary.
Yeah. Vowel, as you put it. As you quite rightly put it.
Yeah, yeah. So we've asked our favorite pronunciator. That's what you want to call him, by YouTube, which I thought he. I thought he was Japanese. Turns out he's not. Why you speak like a samurai. No, that was just an accident. That was just a slip of the tongue. It was not intentional. Samurai. I did not just say samurai. Okay. Not purposefully, anyway. Okay. Anyway,
what you looking for today? Let's learn how to pronounce this name from Welsh. For more Welsh names, pronunciations. Welsh pronunciations. Make sure to stay tuned to the channel. Loads to learn here. Mistakenly truly pronounced as O. Yes. The spelling make it look like it should be said owing. It does really pronounced, at least in Welsh.
O.
Wine.
O. Right,
Here are more videos on how to pronounce more confusing words and names. Too many.
I don't know what to say to that. We weren't. We weren't. Right. But at least it's not our own name. You know what I mean?
No.
So, yeah, we need to all call him. What was the proper one?
O. It's almost like a wine. O. Yeah. Oh, wine Oin.
You going to spell it? Welsh. You're going to be Welsh. Okay. Yeah, Welsh.
You steal a word. You got to.
Yeah. You own it. Oh, wine. It
was pretty good.
Oh, wine. All right, we get on to that. Oh, yeah, he J.
And Sean's era.
Yeah, Poor Sean. Sean's gone home. He's got an early flight home.
Yeah.
He's like, that's enough for me. I'm good.
I'm cooked.
I'm done. Put a fork in me. I have done. He's edged me and I've tipped over the edge. I got a great story for you that's completely inappropriate for the podcast.
Oh, brilliant. Can't wait. What else have we been doing? So we've got the mentees tonight.
Yeah, We've got the mentee weekend.
Bite to Eat.
We've got Bonnie and Clyde in feeding us all, which is like they do deep fried lasagna, mate, and it's fucking incredible.
That sounds crazy.
Mmm. It's incredible.
Can you.
You can deep fry anything. We've got some talks going on. We're celebrating, some of them hitting a few personal and business milestones to the. They're gonna do some talks about how they got to that point.
Oh, cool.
Me.
Listen, I just want to talk you through how I got there.
This guy. One word. J Rod.
That's kind of two. So that's why I was gonna say J Rod.
Oh, apparently you just make anything.
Yeah, you can.
You can say your name however you want.
Yeah.
You can add letters, take away letters. Turns out it means nothing. Might as well say pronounce my name Spamoni for all I. Schneckle.
Schneckle. All right, cool. That'd be good to hear. Well, you've done it. Yeah, it'd be good for you to hear how you told him to do it.
Yeah, I told him that.
That's actually quite shock. This is another dog one. So I was on a call and this lady was talking about, like, she's got a dutchie. And she was. The dog was like crazy with traffic. Even like someone pulling up to the house, it would go crazy. And then like a couple of weeks later, she was really pleased. Basically fucking nailed it. And then about two weeks later, I got flee and it just happened to land on a call with her. And I was like, how's he getting on with the traffic? She's like, oh, brilliant. What you told me worked. And I was just like, okay, so what was that. Exactly what the.
Did I say? You can ask the AI bot.
Could. Could I ask the bot?
We have a yca.
The botty.
An AI dog trainer, which you're probably not going to believe. This is a thing. Right? And, you know, we didn't either until. So we've uploaded all of our course content. We had to delete the podcasts from it, did we? We did initially. And then it was coming out with some fucking wild shit, which is fair enough.
Yeah.
And then we've uploaded all our group polls, all our one to ones.
Could we make a second?
We've sat down and we arduously went through those Q and A's for like hours on end, which felt like hours at least, and answered all the most common questions for our clients. So they can have a YCA dog trainer in their pocket 24 7. And, like, it's actually pretty Good.
Yeah.
It's a good supplement to our program. It's not to replace us, by the way, but it is a good supplement to our program. You know, when I want a nice little quick answer and, like, what order should I condition the punishment marker in? Like, yeah, dog's not got his food drive yet. Where should I do my walks? You know, what should I do when X happens? It's actually really. Yeah, to be fair, but a lot of work time, money went into it because we just want the best for our clients, you know, so. Yeah, I don't know how the we got there either.
Could we make another one for you exclusively with podcast information. Yeah, that was just to see what it comes out.
And Kirk in your pocket. Yeah.
Whatever you do, don't ask this any, like, fucking real serious questions because you'll
be in serious bother.
Yeah.
Yeah. All right.
That'd be funny, wouldn't it?
Yeah. I've got a mentee one. He's pretty good. He's pretty sharp. Yeah, he's great. So any of your development program mentees coming along this week?
A couple of them said they could make it. Yeah. It was obviously slightly short notice, but. And some of them, again, not based in this country, but a couple of them said they were going to be able to come up for at least a little bit of it, so hopefully.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So, yeah, we've segmented the mentorship into, well, essentially what we give a about. So Kirk is taking on the new dog trainers that are learning how to develop their skill set and is drawing the diagrams and. And all. How many have you drawn? Some diagrams maybe? No comment.
Infographics, maybe.
There you go. Have you done any slides yet?
Yeah.
Have you? Yeah, have you?
Of course I have. They get slides every week by some.
That's class. And then obviously I do the. The business development side for dog trainers that are like more established dog trainers designers that are wanting to find more clients, basically. And we've invited the whole lot to them of them this weekend. Yeah, we're having a bonanza and there's 45, 50 coming, and that's with quite a few saying they're not able to come and they're gonna come next time around. So the next one is actually going to be in June. We've just put the date and we're going to announce it to the guys and girls here this weekend.
Be like some good weather.
First weekend of June. Yeah. We went through the outsides plans of what we're going to do outside to make it like a shindig it's basically going to be like a festival. So if you want to inquire about either one of those programs, message the word development to the YCA Instagram or message me the word monkey on my personal Instagram if you're interested in the
more businessy stuff that makes more sense.
Did I tell you someone did that? And I got real angry for a second. Who the are you speaking to? Like. Well, I was about to go in on him. Listen here, face mole. Oh, no. All right. No.
Yeah, okay. Yeah, fine.
My bad.
Fair enough.
Fair enough. He didn't sign up for the mentorship. Turns out hurling abuse at someone, not a great sales tactic.
Maybe don't work though. Yeah.
Of opposition reflex. So, yeah, that's our plans this weekend. Yeah, we've got some decent planned majority winging it, I guess, but it. Yeah, get him on the old Street Fighter games there.
Yeah, nice.
I've actually got some redemption to make. Only one person has beaten me on Big Buck, all right, that's Joe McAvoy.
He's coming up this weekend, too.
Joe McEvoy. Joe McKelvey.
Who's the.
The kid who won X Factor because not. Not to be confused with that kid. We'll put him up here and we'll put our Joe up here. Our Joe's a bit of a bird. Yeah, he's got the deepest voice in the world, too. I'm kill for that man's voice. It's so deep.
It's got real Barry White thing going on.
If we could. I'll ask him for a voice now and we'll play it here.
Hi, guys. Heard you have been talking about me on the podcast, about my voice. When I saw you on Saturday, Susie said that I have to send you a voice note. So here is said voice note. Yeah, nice.
There it is.
He's just got himself a melon float and he don't know if he's actually his or he's keeping him, but I know he's got one for a bit. He's going to bring her up, but he said he might be too busy. I was like, nah, bring him anyway. I don't know. Don't know if he will or he won't.
Anyway, I got to beat him on that game.
Yeah, that's no good.
My title's currently down south somewhere.
Yeah.
Which I'm not happy about. And we've stocked the drinks fridge.
Nice.
So there's drinks, there's coffee. It's a bonanza really, isn't it? We've got the Awards to give out. Suz, go grab one of those awards for us, please. They're just on Tony's desk.
Oh, nice.
For different revenue milestones in their business.
Hey, Sean says if you get him to some sort of target. No, he wouldn't fly you out. I took it as us.
Yeah, fine, fair enough.
But he said he'd pay for the Ocomo in Australia. We can go see him as long as we play for our flights.
Afford my taste. To be honest, mate, I don't matter what.
We could just like supplement it, then subsidize it.
Sean. I'm joking.
I'm joking.
We didn't stay in a crazy hotel in Miami, to be fair. It was real expensive and just hard to find.
What do you mean?
Like, hard to find hotels? All right. Okay. How are you gonna look? There they are. What are you renting to that? I think something like 6,5k a month reward. So if you hit a certain threshold of revenue award, you earn one of these.
Yep.
Giving out a couple of 5Ks, 3 or 4 10Ks and 220Ks to a couple of Australians, which. Which is pounds. So obviously in their currency.
They're millionaires.
Yeah.
You've made some millionaires.
Yeah, that's. Yeah.
Sorry, isn't it?
Could do with making myself one stop spending.
Yeah.
Well, those fancy trips to Miami gonna pay for themselves.
Emmy Miami hotels and that. Yeah.
So we're flying out to. Well, maybe if Sean showed up to the calls and coaching, he might actually get there. Sean never see the.
How good.
It's one of those.
I'll get into him this week.
Just lurking in the shadows.
Yeah. I'll get him.
Because some people, they're. They're every single one. Yeah. Crazy amount.
Probably too much more than they need balance.
Yeah. You got enough information. Now it's time for action.
Come on. Yeah.
Come on.
That's.
Isn't it time to put your foot on the gas.
Yeah. Yeah.
Don't be just a consumer.
Pretty fire aim.
Yeah, that's very correct. Yeah. The. The where I went on the weekend to the boys club was very much ready fire aim.
Yeah, I can imagine.
Very ready firing to the point. It was like don't perfect your webinar or your ad funnel.
Yep. You.
What you need to do is spend a hundred grand advertising it and then you've got no choice but to perfect it because your back's against the wall. Like you don't have the adequate level of pain motivation.
Yeah.
To not. Like if you do it the other way around, you'll just end up like trying to perfect it forever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever and ever. And you never really get there.
Yeah, you. So you told us that, didn't you? Somewhere. Yeah.
Apparently pain and discomfort motivates three to four times more than positive reinforcement. That's what dan Co on YouTube said. I have no idea if that's statistically correct, but it kind of does make sense.
I mean, it's definitely more motivating, isn't it?
Yes.
Your single event learning experiences with a dog don't come from one biscuit.
No.
They come from something potentially out of context and borderline traumatic.
Yeah. However, obviously Stark and Kobe had a set do. Set to last weekend.
Yep.
Before I went away or last week. Which led to Stark getting like a real baddie boo boo on his fucking leg. We had a gay incident. It was arousal based. It wasn't. It wasn't good at all. Anyway, so Kobe had fucking took a decent chunk out of Stark, bless him. Stark had to go and get stitched up. It was completely my fuck up entirely. It was just very bad, mismanaged situation. And I feel awful about it from putting my hand up. It was my fuck up anyway, so obviously we went away. We were deliberating whether to go or not. Kudos to Pablo. Fucking took very great care of my dog, so thank you. Pablo took an exceptionally. He's taking a picture every fucking half an hour. Bless him. Takes great care of my dog. I get home, Stark and Kobe have been separate this whole time. So I bring. I bring them both out and it's the first time they've seen each other.
No, nothing.
Nothing. Stuck. Was like playbowing to Kobe.
Yeah.
I'm like, all right, if that's the case. Why is it when a dog gets into a set to. Yeah, that's not why. Why is it that that makes him react?
Yeah. It's not, is it?
Nah, nah.
Because he had genuine damage.
Like he shouldn't be in a real, real bad way.
Spent some time in the vets. Etc.
Yeah. He had to go under anesthesia and he had to.
Yeah.
He had to get stitched up.
Whereas the same as like wore a
cone for a while.
LJ's had two cracks on Bumble Bumblebee. Don't give a.
No. Yeah. Maybe it's not. Anyway, we've talked about it slightly before.
Yeah, we have. Yeah.
Stark's all good. Kobe's all good. Friends again. Kurobe's in work. Cougar Stark's not back. Back to work yet. But sure he'd be all right. Anyway, we've got to go.
I got one quick story. Pablo related. We've got two minutes go, so obviously he's at yours. He's sending me these pictures, and one of them could look kind of cutesy. He's like, kind of in. I can't remember which of your dogs was. You got fucking loads. Anyway, he takes his picture. I'm looking at it, and I'm like, selfie. Yeah, it looks like a fucking thing you'd put on Grinder. I don't know, Tinder or whatever the fuck. And I was like. I just. I just thought, fuck it, I'm sending this back. I was like, how many birds have you sent that to? And he just put loads of laughing fucking things. He was like, about. You said it's a two. I know you have. He's bored, you all know.
Can you get it? Can we. Can we have it? Can we? Yeah, that's.
Sure, sure. I must have it. Obviously. I want to delete.
There, Brilliant. I want to delete that. There you go.
Yeah.
Pablo using my dog. Yeah. There's a fucking way to get some sauce. Fair play. Yeah, all right.
It'd be interesting if it worked. I don't know. Yeah, we'll get. We'll get the answer to that, too.
Yeah. All right. We'll leave it there.
Sound.
Bye. Bye, Ian.
Bye, Ian.
