We were. I mean we had a whole bunch of years of competition. So it was weird. We went from this like we had lost everything in 2008. And then 2008, 9, 10 was like the wandering years of survival and trying to figure out who the fuck we are and where we're going. And then 2011 we moved to Gilbert, Arizona. You start and natural beaded rose as a training system and start teaching others and you start stockpiling cash on the side with a plan to leave me, which was understandable.
It wasn't a plan to leave you. It's just a little cushion.
It was a plan to leave.
It's just a cushion.
How many times were you thinking about leaving me in 2011 if you said every day, emotionally.
We were kind of already divorced so I was just like operating. We were married, but I was like building my own bank accounts and doing my own. I was just like living separate lives.
My friends, welcome to the date you wife podcast and it is official. I have spent my entire life wondering what kind of musician I would be. Guitar, piano, cello, flute, recorder. Yes. I did that in elementary school and I was shitty at it. So what is the instrument? The hand pan drum.
Cuz that's the coolest one.
I don't know if it's the coolest one, but it's one I am definitely passionate about.
Phil, Stadiums.
Let's. Let's let them listen to the hand.
Were you like, were you a little. Were you a little bit high one day and you like.
Probably.
And you were like. And he had a vision of you.
Now listen, as it gets better, checkers.
Are you going to like have real birds? You going to have real birds in the background?
The birds are added after.
He's into it.
He's totally into it. I'm going to hire this guy.
Why?
Because I don't know how to play the hand pan drum. I don't have any musical talent when it comes to that.
And you have so much free time. I think this is so much free time.
Very excited about all this free time I have going on that I'm just going to pour it into my handpan drumming career now that I'm retired.
Like a YouTube video. You could probably.
He has a course. Oh yeah, he has a course. He has a digital course.
This goes to show, I mean everybody can make money. Build a course, become an expert. Build a course and everyone has impact and reach.
Well, this is how it started with dqw. Well, MBR started with the course.
True. I was literally like, we lost everything and I remember you were trying to just push me to, like, do something, and you're like, start a brand. I'm like, I'm a hairstylist. Hairstylists don't have. What are you talking about? Have. Build a brand. You're like, yeah, you know, build a brand. I was like, and I never thought that hair would get me to the point that I'm at now. So I always teach and preach to women. I'm like, the skill that you need to have success is probably right in front of your face, but you're in your ego about, like, this actually being the pursuit. I remember we did one Warrior Woman event, and I remember your Warrior Woman.
Event or DKW event.
No, this was, like, forever ago. Remember the Warrior Women event we did? And it was all women. It was, like, the only 2018. It was, like, a while ago. I think it was, like, 2018, 2019. I can't remember. It was 2018.
2018. It was for sure.
But I just remember, like, this specifically. Your sister, like, stood up, and she's been in, like, always been really into music and opera, great voice. And she was like, talking about how she had a desk job and she didn't like it. And I was like, you are brilliant at music. Like, why don't you kind of create a brand, even if you're, like, coaching, you know, kids on music? And she was almost like, ugh, like, offended. Like, why would I teach children? I'm supposed to be an opera singer. And I'm like, but you're not an opera singer, and you're gonna go get a desk job until you become an opera singer. Why don't you already utilize something you love doing? Same thing with Bailey. She's like, thinks she's gonna get TikTok famous. And I was like, you're. You already have musical talent. Why don't you use that? If you need money, why don't you use that musical talent you have? You can create literally, like, a songwriting camp, you know, and you can sell that. You need to. You can build your own brand. That's not, like, being discovered, Bailey. Filling. Filling stadiums. And I was like, and guess what? This piece of you maybe mentoring other kids or doing songwriting camps might actually put you on the map. Not this stupid TikTok stuff that one day somebody just discovers you. And I was like, and you could possibly make. Make money while doing it? Because most people who are doing social media, they do it for, like, five years before they even start making money on it. So I told her, and I told her too, I said. When I had no money as a hairstylist, I chose to create an online course on how to do natural beautiful row hair extensions, which is what I named my extension technique that I'd kind of come up with over the years. And I was like, it was very scary to be like, oh, my God, I'm selling this product as my first online course. I felt so stupid and unqualified.
2011.
Yeah. And so even though I felt like I'd been doing hair, like, 10 years, at that point, I was so. I felt very scared and vulnerable putting this online product out that people were gonna judge me because I was already an expert because I'd been doing hair for 10 years, but I wasn't an expert educator. I just had gotten good at doing hair.
Well, at that time, like, membership sites, they were a thing, but not like they are now. Like, even YouTube was still taking off in 2011. It was like 14, 15 years ago. And courses and building courses wasn't quite a thing.
Yeah, it wasn't really.
And like, a lot of the membership site clickfunnels, tools like these were not around. It was scary.
I think that's harder to build a.
Membership site back then. Kajabi actually was around at the time. I think I remember. Or maybe it was HubSpot. I don't remember. There was one of them. We did it, but you came in and I remember, actually, before you built your first home study course, I was asking you questions about whether or not you think you could teach other people mbr. And your answer was no. You said, I can't teach other people MBR because it's only me. I've done nine different methods or 11 different methods. It's a special thing that I do. And I was like, I bet you can do it. I bet you could teach other people. You're like, no. I was like, I bet you can. You're like, no. I was like, let's pretend like maybe you could. Let's see what would happen. You're like, no. And then Michelle Money come over to the house. This was actually before 2011. 2010. We're in Draper, Utah, and I decided to get a camera. And I said, we're recording. You can do Michelle Money's hair. She was on the Bachelorette. I said, you're gonna do Michelle Monty's hair, and I'm gonna record it. That video is still on YouTube. You can search it. Michelle Money, MBR. MBR extensions or MBR hair extensions. Natural, but hair extensions. And we recorded it in our Kitchen. And that video set up your momentum, and that momentum set up you doing the membership site. But when we moved to Arizona, I mean, you were on your own. Like, I was helping you. I remember clicking Go. I remember calling my coach. The night I clicked Go on your membership site.
I feel like you were, you, like, get me going and then like, leave me and like abandon me. And I was like, oh my God, I don't know how to do this. Like, I remember I've shared this story in so many of like our events where I'm editing my own videos to put out and sell. And I. It's like midnight and I'm not a techie and I'm so just annoyed and over it and I'm like, can Garrett just figure out a shit and take care of us? And I was like, I'm not doing this. I'm not putting this out there. I'm not selling it. This is garbage. I'm not doing it. And I literally like started like crying at my computer. And then all of a sudden it was like, hey, you're gonna do this. You don't even understand who you're gonna impact. And by you calling it quits right now, there is a shit ton of people that are waiting for you to go. So I always remind myself of that, of who are you not impacting by your unwillingness to go, to start, to get out of your ego, to understand that you can't become the best without putting yourself out there and committing to going.
It's true. And you went and you went on your own decision. I remember I was saying the comment about the night I pushed go on your sales funnel for your membership site and I'd helped you create it, you'd done a little work and I had helped you create it because I was getting passionate about that, figuring that tech side out. And I remember I was about to push, click, like about to publish it and go live. And we were about to run the first campaign out to your email list, which eventually would do like, I don't know, 20 some thousand dollars in sales in the first like week and a half or two, which was like game changing for you. And I remember having this feeling like, of, of fear as a man, because I was like, oh man, I push go on this and my wife is going to be able to provide big time for herself. Like, I remember having that thought. I called Jesse Elder, who was my coach at the time, and I was like just talking to him. Like 11 o' clock at night, you were asleep. I'm like, bro, I'm sweating this right now. And he's like, dude, what's the worst thing that happens? The worst thing that happens? Worst thing that happens is your wife leaves you. Was the best thing happens? I was like, she stays. He said, cool. And either way, guess what you'll end up with. I was like, what? He said, a woman that wants to be with you. So empower her, dude. Fucking go. And I was like, okay.
I think it's. It's hard for a producing woman because it's like, I want to produce, but if I produce too much, am I demasculating you? If I produce too much? Is like, is our relationship not gonna work? So the same scariness that you feel, I feel the same way because I'm like, well, I want him to rise. I want, I want to always feel like he's the one out producing me. I don't want him to feel demasculated. So it's hard to even be a successful woman because you're like, oh, now I'm being judged because I'm like the power hungry woman. I'm successful. I'm not like cute and dumb and like, like. So there's an element where you're like, oh, it's hard.
I tell guys. I mean, I tell guys all the time. I tell women all the time too. Like in our programs, I'm like, to be a woman and accomplish production, to have it all as a woman and be a producing woman. So you're actually making money in a business outside your home. Like, much more difficult than to make money and produce a guy. I'm not saying the guys don't face ridiculous amounts of pressure. It's different. The women. But women have. It's just the game is not built to support that. Because a lot of women who rise in power in that are rejected by powerful men, so they end up with purse boys.
I was there.
I mean, all these powerful women are with purse boys, not with power playing men. These men don't want anything to do with them. And it's weird to watch because these women are super broke. When I remember I was at a Mastermind with Russell And I had 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 different powerful women. All these women in their late 40s, early 50s, all of them do eight figures a year and their businesses take home 4 to 6 to 8 million a year. All single. Most of them were married and divorced. And they're asking me like, where are all the. Where are all the guys at? And I was like, you want me to talk to you straight. I'm like, yeah. I was like, these dudes aren't gonna date you. I'm like, what are you talking about? I was like, you all are way too masculine.
Too masculine.
You're too masculine.
Would you consider me masculine?
Yeah.
Really?
Yeah. You have masculine energy. But you've learned in the last couple years it doesn't benefit you as a woman, a mother, a partner, to be in your masculine as often as you work.
Like, I balance it pretty well.
You're doing fantastic now. Now you know how to use it as a weapon versus it was a full time engagement for you and you were in business that day. I was in business that day and it was a fucking war zone at home.
Yeah. I find it like when you're producing women, there's like less tolerance. So you're kind of like, I don't have to deal with this shit. So you. It's. Again, surrendering to ego is like, yeah, you don't have to deal with. You get to deal with this shit. Like, you get to you, you are this powerful person, but guess what? You're also going a mother and a wife. And there. But ultimately there's this element where I want to be that. Right. I want to be fun, flirty, like that's a piece of me, that inside of business. I kind of shut down for a while and I was like, and, and, and. But then I was like, okay, is this what I really want? And so I've really worked on kind of balancing both. Not both versions of me, but. But just learning when to operate a certain way and where.
I just had an interesting thought. I was like, why do I love having sex with this woman? That was a question I put up in my mind. I was like, is it about an orgasm? Those are awesome. It's actually like somehow sex for us in the last year has become an ability to access your soul. It's never been that till the last year. Sex never accessed your soul with me. And I don't think it ever acts my soul. There's even moments now, like, even just in the last week, like, we have sex where you'll like lay down on top of me. You don't try to hurry off out of there. And we're just laying there and I'm holding you and you're holding me, and we're just laying there breathing and connecting and being.
That's what you thought about right now?
Yeah. I was real horny just looking at you. Okay. This is where I was like, there was no.
Oh my. Trying to like, share, like, this passion for producing women. And you're like, you know, I like.
Having sex with you, have sex with you right now.
I think because you were thinking that I wasn't like, that. I was, like, being feminine and sexy, and that made you think of that.
Well, then that was the piece that was missing when you started going down the path of producing. And I. And I'll. We had talked about this too. I turned you into a man in a lot of ways with how I was operating and acting.
I just felt like you were treating me like one of your dudes. Like, I was like. So then I'm like, you're gonna treat me like a dude. I'm just gonna respond like a dude. And so there was a period where both of us were probably, like, severely repelled by one another because you wanted me to be soft and feminine. And I was like, I need you to fucking rise.
And there was just aggressiveness and intensity, and it was both from both fronts, so it was like war zone constantly. But the interesting part back then is, like, I don't think you were even aware that it was happening. You were just so pissed about the situation we were in. You're like, I'm fucking rising. With or without this asshole. I'm going to the promised land.
I just was for myself. I remember I hated that I was in a situation where I felt like I had no control over it. And I'm not to say that I'm a control freak, but I'm like, I want to be able to be in a relationship based out of want. Not because I'm scared that I can't provide for myself. Not that I'm scared that I can't evolve and take care of my kids. Like, if I get remarried, I want to be with somebody just because I love them, because I can take care of myself. But that's a scary point place to be in as a woman, because you're like, but I also need a man that's, like, fucking manly. And, like, I want my. My money to kind of seem irrelevant to his money. Like, even though I'm a producing woman, like, great. Like, I want somebody who 10x's me. Like, so there's a piece of me that I'm like. Like, I. I get it. And so I. I want to be powerful, but I also think it's sexy that I want you to always be more powerful in that way.
And that's super sexy to me. Like, as a man. Like, I like that it's not that you feel a need it's that I feel wanted or desired or, like, essential.
Yeah. And I think that's. That's where our relationship dynamic has changed, is like, yeah, I'm a producer, but I also, like, I'm, like, pushing you. It's not. It's less competition now, and I'm more like, I'm gonna pump the brakes and, like, mine. My stuff's doing good. I want you to rise. Like I want. I want your. Like I said, I want Warrior to make my stuff look silly. Not silly, but because I believe in it. I know it can go that direction. And I don't want to feel like I'm in any kind of competition with my husband. Like, I'm like, I don't. I want to be your wife. And I do enjoy producing and have love what I do, but I'm like, I ultimately, like, love you and want to be with you.
We were. I mean, we had a whole bunch of years of competition. So it was weird. We went from this, like, we had lost everything in 2008. And then 2008, 9, 10, was like the wandering years of survival and trying to figure out who the fuck we are and where we're going. And then 2011, we moved to Gilbert, Arizona. You start and natural beaded Rose as a training system and start teaching others, and you start stockpiling cash on the side with a plan to leave me, which was understandable.
It wasn't a plan to leave you. It was just a little cushion.
It was a plan to leave me.
It was just a cushion.
How many times were you thinking about leaving me in 2011? You said every day.
Emotionally. We were kind of already divorced, so I was just, like, operating. We were married, but I was, like, building my own bank accounts and doing my own. I was just, like, living separate lives.
Yeah, I was just going to CrossFit. I, like, really liked CrossFit at the time, and I was just going to CrossFit. And I had, like, cool people at CrossFit I would connect with and I'd do my video. So when I started doing my videos, my green hat backwards started shooting two and a half minute videos. The Wake Up Wade.
Yeah.
Welcome to Wake Up Wad, everybody. It's your boy, Gear J. White.
You were always, like, a good promoter with, like, very little focus. Like, you have any business focus. YouTube video that you. You show me and you're like, you should have been one of the originals on YouTube.
I would have mashed it you.
And I remember because I started on YouTube and I'm not. I Wasn't great on camera. You've always been like really entertaining. You had, you should have. You had that spray painted background and. And you're always so animated. And I was like, babe, what do you do with those videos? You're like, I don't know. And you never put them out there.
And this was 2010.
This is when, this is when you was taking off.
And I was like, was just getting.
Started and I was like, just put on YouTube. It's entertaining at best.
Jake, Paul and Logan, you were the one that both like, you're the one.
That encouraged me to get on YouTube and you built out your own studio and didn't do it.
But I mean videos, but they did not go anywhere. Yeah, because I did not stay consistent. I actually know like that entire stage of life. Like I was very nervous to launch. Like I read in 2009 I'd gotten my hands on the book Crush It, Cashing it in youn Passions by Gary Vaynerchuk. I hired Brendan Burchard with Experts Academy.
I also remember watching Gary Vee and I was like, this guy's talking about stinky wine. I'm like, if this guy can, amazing. But I'm like, if this guy can get online and talk about wine and how it tastes like socks, why. Why are you not online talking about your green backwards hat?
Gary Vee was the man. Like, he was my inspiration. Wine Library, tv.
Yes. I remember watching that and I was like, why can I not stop watching? Because he's doing something nobody's doing. He's talking about wine and how it smells like socks. And you're like, that's weird. I want to keep watching. This guy seems trustworthy.
Nobody was like, that's the thing. As hard as people will see my videos from that time, 2009, 2010, 2011, and they'll look at them and they'll laugh because they're looking at them. From the frame of 2014. This is before fucking social media is massive. Facebook is off the ground. Barely. There is no TikTok. There is no Instagram. There is. Twitter's operating at the time, but there's like social media is like half the people you meet are not even on social media actively at all. Like, I wasn't even on social media. I didn't even have an iPhone. You got me an iPhone in 2007.
You would do a lot of Facebook because you were a really good writer. So you'd get on and you'd write a lot of posts on Facebook and you'd be like, you need to get on Facebook. And I was like, no.
I remember I got like 15 to 18 likes on a post, and I just feel like I was killing it.
You were killing it.
It's like, wow, I am just a social influencer with 17 or 18 likes. Not. Not so much the case. So that entire.
I think you're still trying to discover Warrior. You're still trying to, like, put together like this. Like, you had a concept. You were trying to sell a lifestyle, but it wasn't really organized to what it is today.
I was trying to live a lifestyle.
Yeah.
That's why I started taking you on dates. Date your wife began in Gilbert, Arizona. I had. I don't even know what sparked it. I just felt like we needed to go on dates.
It's because we were gonna. We were not in a good space. And so you were like, well, I'm gonna take my wife out on a date every week.
Yeah. And if that doesn't work out, then we probably won't stay together. So we started going on dates. I remember that one martini bar we would go to in Gilbert. Remember that? The blue. Blue Martini or the blue something.
Yeah.
Over by the mall in Gilbert.
Santan Mall.
Santan Mall, that's right. And we lived in Shamrock Estates.
Yeah.
There were no Shamrocks and no Estates. No. They lied about the name of this place.
Yeah, I shared that. I shared that story on my blog this week too. I was like, wow. I was. Because I showed. I shared our house tour on my blog, and I. No, no, our house tour. I did a house tour here, like, in the summer, just, like, showcasing the house. And I was like, but let me tell you a story before you go ahead and watch the this $28 million mansion tour. It was, like, 12 years ago. We literally got cars repossessed short, sold our house. Neither of us had our brands. We moved to Arizona. But the only way we could even afford to move to Arizona is we sold. Remember the estate sale? We sold everything, including my dog. I sold my dog because I had two wiener dogs. And the rental. We didn't even tell him we had a dog. And I was like. We told him we didn't even have a dog. We can't possibly bring two. And I sold my freaking puppy. And I just remember, like, crying and just, like, feeling like, so, like, just we were at rock bottom. And, like, I was like, we gotta start fresh. I shared a little bit of the story on my blog of, like, hey, 12 years ago, we had to sell everything just to rent a U Haul and move to Arizona. Not to mention you'd. That story's fucking wild.
Whole fucking wild.
That whole thing. I'm like, if people knew half of this shit, like they see where we're at. And even I look back at some of our stories and I'm like, whoa. Like we were so young that I don't think now we have appreciation. But like, yeah, we sell everything. You break your Achilles and crossfit because you didn't like warm up or something that snapped. When you're doing a box jump, you're in a boot. But we're so excited because we're gonna start fresh in Arizona. Even though our marriage was not great, but we're just so excited to get the fuck out of there.
Just to try something new.
Just try something new. And you're loading something in the U haul the night before. We're gonna drive 12 hours to go to Ariz, Arizona. And you slip and fall and fucking tear your Achilles when it wasn't even healed. Second time, Second time you drive us all the way to Arizona with a busted up Achilles. Then I'm there organizing everything in Arizona for three weeks with a brand new six month old baby and a four year old and you go back to Utah to have surgery. Your Achilles tendon, they were like set as like hamburger meat. They had to put cadaver contend or didn't they take cadaver?
They had to put a piece of, of muscle off the back of a cadaver which they used to make for tendons. Yeah, yeah, it was like fucking.
So you're there getting your surgeries, you're staying in your mom's basement. Like I'm there just like surviving, trying to find a salon to work out, set up the kids in like school, like set up the power, the utilities. I know nobody there. And I'm like, I mean those are, those were challenging years and we were young. I mean I was in my 20s.
So 2011 would have been 13 years ago. So you would have been what, you'd have been 27?
Yeah.
You're like 26, 27 years old.
Yeah, yeah, I was young. I was like, am I like how old was I?
I was 22 years older than partner.
Yeah. So I, but like, yeah, like, I'm like I, I should was like sharing this on my blog post of our home tour. I'm like, this was us 12 years ago. Yeah, this was us. We had nothing. We moved to a home in Arizona because it's the only thing we could afford. We. I was like, I'm not moving To a house, an apartment. We couldn't even pay the rent at the home that we were renting in Utah. We short sold our home, found a house to rent, and we couldn't even pay our rent. Yeah, like, it was bad. I remember being like, I need money for groceries. And you're like, we don't have any. And I was like, we're gonna have top Ramen. Kids like it. Like, I mean, I like top Ramen, but still, it was gnarly.
It was rough.
So when I look to where we are today, I'm like, yeah, we worked our fucking asses off. That's how we got here. And even though I can say I'm so appreciative of this home, and I say all the time, I feel like it's a gift from God. We worked our asses off and we went through so much and we stayed in the fight. And that's why we have the relationship we have. That's why we have the home we have. It is a gift, but we put in the work.
Most people are unwilling to even begin. Most couples are unwilling to even begin the painful journey of awakening as a couple. And the thing is so sad to me is that like, once you get into the pattern of it, once it becomes like how you live, which is you just are committed to growth, you're committed to expansion, you're committed to becoming, it just becomes part of the game. It's like, this is what we do. This is how we operate. We are going to push and we're going to create and we're going to become more, and that's what we do.
I like what you said on the last podcast. You're like, a lot of entrepreneurs do this where they reach this level of success and they lack purpose, so they self sabotage to have this false reality of growth and purpose. And so I mean we, we, I think at all level we're human and we still do that. But I try to make a conscious effort to not sabotage because I'm not feeling like I have purpose.
So we have been, we have been pursuing like a lot of new experiences for ourselves, like, been pushing hard and sex has been part of that. Intimacy has been an even bigger part of that though, which is like just the ability to be connected, which was what was missing for us last year, about a year, year and a half ago. And that's what I see. I feel like we're finding, I think.
Too like, not to, not to say, okay, I felt like you this last year, you and like getting more fit I was always like, oh, I don't care about muscles, I don't care about that kind of stuff. But how you're showing up now is like almost like when I went through my whole like after had the babies and fit, like all of a sudden I showed up a little bit differently. And you were like, there you are. Like you always thought I was cute and you're hot and whatever and you're like, there, there she is. That's this year I feel like I'm more attracted to you. Not necessarily the muscles, but it's almost like you came into your own skin. It's like, this is who I've always seen you to be. Right.
Yeah.
So I think there's been an attraction and an appreciation factor for both of us. Uh oh, I'll go get her. You keep going.
That's our four year old crying over a fight with our 13 year old. The challenge we have with our 13 year old is the fact that she, she fundamentally believes that her and her four year old sister are the same age. So she treats her the same as she would a normal 13 year old, which on the one side is positive, on the other side is very negative. So we are constantly dealing with these two battling as sisters in a massive way. Ruby snaps and loses her shit and then Isla ends up losing her shit. And it's a back and forth and back and forth battle. I'll tell you right now, having this many girls in our house, having this many females in my space, it's a lot. It's a lot. This is why I go to work and I deal with my business and I deal with guys all day and then I get to deal with my wife and my kids here at home, which is beautiful. My son's not here, so it's just women. Four daughters, my wife, two nannies. It's a whole kit and caboodle. So there's a statement there for you, kitten. Caboodle of individuals here in the home which are constantly testing me to find my truth and find my path and find my way. Uh oh, we got a sad baby. What's the matter babe?
She's okay, she can lay on the couch.
Are you getting in a fight with Ruby?
No, Ruby wouldn't let me sit up on really bed.
Why did she.
A little spicy. She's playing Fortnite.
Oh, can you go lay down on that couch? We're almost done and then we'll come and hang out with you.
So anyways, my. Before I got interrupted by my toddler, I feel like there's been a little more attraction factor on my side towards you. Not I am complimenting your muscles, but I'm also saying, like, I just feel like you are, like, fully you.
Yeah.
Like, there's a confidence level in you that I'm like, oh, that's attractive. Right? There's a certainty level in you that I'm like, that's attractive.
Yeah. Same thing happened with you with your fitness journey when you started four years ago. That was when, like, things like, I would say that if you.
That's why we had two more babies.
Yeah. If you were to divide, like, our sex life as a married couple, there's before fitness and there's after fitness.
I think you're snapped.
Before fitness was one experience. After fitness, radically different experience. Your confidence levels. I mean, talk about that. What happened to your certainty and your confidence levels in yourself sexually just because.
Of what you're doing in fitness? But this is what's so crazy. I experienced this. Another version of me through going through having two babies, you know, and getting my body back while running businesses by running a family. There was a piece of me. This experiences. I'm like, I'm a different monster. I physically felt like the old version of me was dead. I was like, she's gone. I'm a different human being. And so it was. I almost wanted you to experience that, too. Like, I was like, no, you don't understand. Like, I feel like I'm in my own skin. Like, I feel, like, sexy and confident and certain and like, this is who I've always thought I was, but didn't realize what I was missing until I got to this place. And so I've seen that in you this last year, and you've even made several comments. You're like, I've always thought I was this guy.
Yeah.
And I'm like, I know. Isn't it crazy? Like, you feel more like you. You're like, I feel powerful.
I feel like I actually am looking the way I felt.
Yes. Yeah.
Which I realized that I didn't actually look like that at all. I'm going to, babe. I'm from a year ago. Right now I'm 30 pounds heavier than I was a year ago. Year ago. Right now is £190. Right now I'm 220.
You're a skinny surfer, but isn't that.
I mean, it's wild. I still weigh the same, but £30 and, like, it's glutes. I mean, what's it like for you having a husband with glutes now you.
Know, okay, so you've always been fit, but from behind, you couldn't tell you were fit. And I remember, like, just this year, you were in, like, a tank top and, like, some sweatpants, and I was like, he looks like he works out from behind, like. Cause you're obviously, you're not checking your own ass out in the mirror, so you're just like, oh, yeah, I look fit. You know, like, you weren't overweight by any means, but you didn't look like an athlete. No, it wasn't till this last year. Like, you were literally, like, walking away in the kitchen. I was like, he has a bum. I was like, okay. And I was like, again. I was like, I didn't know I wanted a guy with a bum. Turns out, I like that.
Turns out, it does work. I remember you sitting there telling me one night, we're just laying there naked, and you're like, hey, so turns out I do like a guy with muscles. No.
Who knew?
I mean, you were, like, never speaking about. I mean, you were kind of. You were kind of egging.
Well, no, I didn't. I. I really, you know. Okay. She's okay. I think I was like, I. There was a piece of me, like, you know, you shared at the beginning of this podcast. You're like, there's a piece of me that's like, if I push play on this, is she gonna be so successful and leave me? So part of me was like, even though I wanted you to experience what I experienced, I'm like, I don't want to encourage him because if he gets too big of muscles is. Am I replaceable?
Wow.
Right? It was scary. Like, it was like, I wanted to encourage you. I was like, but don't succeed too much. Don't get first place. Just get fourth place. Like, I don't. Don't. Don't think you're too good for me. Right.
But do you still feel that?
No, I did. I. I did for, like, half a second. No, not anymore. Now I still do. No, I don't. I think you look really good right now, and I don't. I don't think you're gonna think your biceps are too big for me and leave me.
No, I told you this and the same thing you and I talked about when we were at the marriage retreat a few weeks ago. Like, the more fit I'm getting, the more I feel like I am seeing you because I'm seeing myself.
Because you're seeing yourself. Yes.
But, like, there's a beauty in who you are and a beauty in what you are that I don't think I got to experience until I started taking myself on more. So, last conversation, we'll wrap up this show. So you and I have a fitness competition coming up. The time we're releasing this show, it'll be about five weeks or so.
I'm so sweaty. I can't do it.
Why are you so sweaty about this?
I just. I just.
This comp. Number four for you. Number two for you.
Because I go. I go into, like, this. I go into, like, a really hard cut four weeks out, and I don't have a lot to cut. So it's this weird balancing game where I'm like, don't flatten out too much. Don't get too lean. Don't get too. It's so stressful. I love it, and I hate it. And every time, about four or five weeks out, I'm like, I don't think my body's going to respond. And my trainers make fun of me, and they're like, okay, yeah. But I also tell them I'm, like, lying the whole time with my diet, and I'm cheating pretty much the whole time, but not, like, big cheats, but enough to where I'm like, if I tighten this up, I have enough wiggle room that if I actually do what I say I'm gonna do, I know my body will respond, but there's still this fear of failure that is like, you're not gonna be able to do it.
Then you always run your mouth about how I'm not keeping my plan, which is really.
You have waffles and cheeseburgers.
Do not have waffles every day.
Oh, my gosh.
Just have waffles.
On Sundays, I'm having, like, my egg whites, and I'm feeling guilty about having a handful of Froot Loops, and Garrett's, like, having a waffle. I'm like, are you having waffles right now?
Yeah. But that ends like, we're in the pocket now. So we're seven weeks out, and coach said, hey, it is serious time. We're like, we're in it. And the most exciting thing I have for our entire. And our entire experience is the photo shoot.
There you go.
So you know those naked pictures of myself I posted on the Internet? Here's a funny story. One of our friends is.
No. Now people are gonna go look for that.
No. One of our friends, we got naked photos on the Internet. So one of my friends. One of my friends was scrolling his feed, and he saw this picture of Me would have, like, five photos of me, like, naked when I'm doing the Greek statue photo shoot after the last fitness comp. And he sees, you know, references people that you know. And his wife is the one who's hearted my picture. So then he comes over to her and he's like. He, like, sends her a text with a screenshot. He's like, are you making a habit of, like, just, you know, Harding naked men's photos on the Internet? And she's like, it's our friend. He looks great. What are you talking about? So. So then my friend, which you know this couple. I'm not gonna say their names. My friend says, so then, you know what I did, Garrett? I said what I said. I went over and I started hearting all of Danielle's bikini shots. He's like, you don't think that two people could play this game? And I was like, so basically, me and my wife were like, you know, the. The thirst traps for you both or what? How's this work?
I realized, too, probably a lot of, like, your clients don't follow me because they're like, is that weird? She posts a lot of bikini shots. I can't. I can't support his wife and think she's hot. Yeah. So I get it.
Look at her ass. Congrats, Danielle.
You look amazing. In fact, it is. It is weird. It's like one of your buddies, like, DMs me and is like, you're looking great. I'm like, I. Thank you. But I guess I.
That's good. It's a supportive thing. And listen, you're in the fitness game. When you're in the bikini fitness game, I thought it was weird. Like, az, Rajo and Carla Rajo live in Arizona. When we. When AZ was like, a super active client and Carla was, like, going through and getting her pro card.
Marie, tell me this.
Would text me pictures of her on stage in these, like, you know, in the. In the. In the.
Super skimpy. Yeah.
And I was super uncomfortable.
Yeah. You're like, should I be looking at.
Delete these photos.
But once you get into this sport, you literally. I was joking around. I'm like, you just look at it like a piece of meat. You're like, oh, look at that. Look at that sculpture. That's nice.
It's weird. It gets to a place. It's not sexual. It's, like, purely, like, anatomical, where you're like, oh, yeah, look at that.
This last show that you competed in, it was a pro show for the men.
And.
Yeah, it was like the weirdest thing. I'm like, there's just big slabs of meat. Like, it's like, it's not even sexy. You're like, huh, Good job.
These guys are, like, jacked. So we got the photo shoot after the comp, which is exciting. And we're going to do a couple's nude.
No, we're not. We're not.
I'm not getting you ready for it.
I'm not doing it yourself. I'm not doing it.
We're doing the intertwined one flesh, and we're gonna call it one flesh is what we're gonna name the photo. You and I intertwined naked. We're not paint you so gold. You were naked when we painted you gold.
I wasn't naked intertwined with my husband.
Well, you were just naked standing by yourself. Painted like.
I'm excited to see your pretzel naked. My pretzel in a pretzel?
See my pretzel naked? Is that what we're calling you now? My pretzel?
Being like, you in a pretzel.
Okay. You want to see me in a pretzel with you?
No, I'm not doing a naked pretzel. You can do it by yourself.
Full frontal noodle. I don't care.
Whatever you float your.
But it's gonna do that, I guess. My nuts were on the Internet here.
They were?
Yeah. Parker messaged me and said, dad, your nuts are on the Internet. It's like, where? And then he showed me a picture.
That's why when you started posting all those shoots, I was like, please don't post any with me. I was like. Because there were some that, like the shadow. If you zoomed in just right, I'm like, you can see a lot of things that I don't want on the Internet.
Got it. Well, my nuts are on the Internet. So proud of myself.
Good job. 48 year old nuts.
40, 48 year old nuts on the Internet.
Let's bring it to a close.
All right, so here is the deal. But this show serves one purpose, and that purpose is to create a platform for conversation with you and your spouse, Isla. Ayla. Shh. Wait. I was quieting my daughter down. We're gonna keep growing with this show. So was to create a platform of conversation, which is to create a game where we talked about topics that married couples want to talk about, but a lot of times can't talk about. And we took that a step further with the date your wife experience found@datejewife.com, which is an opportunity every week to join hundreds of other couples that are joining us in a conversation leveraging the Warrior's way, leveraging truth and helping their marriages go further and faster for a free trial and that. Check it out@dateyourwife.com on top of this, also, the entire date your wife experience and everything we've done here is backed by the Warriors Way. Even what we see inside the hair game with DKW styling and natural beaded rose. The energy behind this has been the Warriors Way. It's been that way for 15 or 12, 13 years, and it's going to continue to be that way. And I'd like to give you access to the entire Warriors Way system for free for 30 days. You can check that out by going to warriorlaunch.com get access to the app, curriculum, coursework calls, Facebook, or, excuse me, tribe groups, which is inside of our app. You can use the software for 30 days and at the end of that time, if you like it, keep it. If you don't, well, you can move on. Either way, you'll at least have been given a taste for what we do here at Warrior and how it's supportive, Danielle and I, and being able to live our best lives and how you can, too. So that's it. This show's over. Thank you so much for being here and we'll see you guys next week.
