Well, here we are for another episode of D2W, the podcast. I have not changed my clothing at all. I'm wearing the exact same clothes last episode. My wife, on the other hand, has gone and changed looks fabulous. Change your shirt. Yeah, that's what happens. We're recording two every single. Every single week here.
I don't like to look at the reels where I look like I'm wearing the same thing all the time.
I just swear the same shit all the time. Anyways, this is why T shirts change up for me. Yeah. Yeah.
Well, I suck down, like, a lot of the Instagram marketing lately. And I'm like, what did you order? You know what, though? The problem with that is, like, sometimes I will do it. It's hit or miss. I would say, like, 50 of the things I buy off an ad. I'm like, oh, this is garbage. And then I'm like, I got these.
Boots that I thought would be cool. They weren't so cool, but I had the no bull tennis shoes. These ones right here.
But that's like a reputable brand.
My favorite. I mean, it's just a circus around here. There's so many people ringing doorbells and doing shit in our house. Well, it's what happened. So we're going to keep running with the show. Here's the deal. We're going to. I told you this episode was going to be about the Bible, and it was going to be about something that was not expected, that came up because of the Bible, Which I didn't actually make sense that it was this that had caused it until we were in therapy today. So every time we do these shows, Danielle and I'll do therapy for an hour. Then we eat lunch, and then we come in and we record two shows. And then I have meetings with my cfo, and we go through money reports every single week for a couple hours and review. And my daughter just got a $735 Starbucks order. I'm not authorizing. I don't even know. All I know is my kids definitely need to read the Bible about frugality. Should do a frugality Bible lesson. All right, so I was talking about the Bible.
Okay.
And when's the last time you read the Bible?
I don't read the Bible.
Have you ever read the Bible?
I have no interest in reading the Bible.
All right.
I think actually that's a lie. When I was little, I remember having to read a lot. And then in high school, we had seminary. We read the Book of Mormon and the Bible and I have a hard time reading in general. And not that I can't read. I just. I comprehend things way better versus on, like, audio or visuals.
I got some audiobooks for. You should listen.
I have listened to four audiobooks just this year. So it's not that I don't. I don't learn. I just don't prefer reading. So I. Yeah, I remember trying to read scriptures and I just. I couldn't focus. I'd, like, read, and then I. But I have. That's been a long time. You know, it's been since I was like, 18 years old, since I even tried. I just don't really have the desire. But what I do like is, like, I like going to church service. And then he reads it, and I get nothing out of it. But then he breaks it down about, like, the verse or whatever it is. I'm like, oh, that's awesome. But if I just read the verse, I'm like, cool. Paul and Sol and went to the mall. I don't know.
Oh, my God. Paul became Saul and then went to the mall. I was like, I think that's a complete backwards one. It was Saul to Paul, but you create your own. There you go. There's. There's the Daniel K. White translation. Paul became Saul and then went shopping at the mall. You know exactly what I'm talking about. Reading the Bible in the fall. Dkw.
Hey, there's a zoo up there.
It's a circus. In the spirit of the Bible, saying.
So. Yeah, I mean, I'm not, like, opposed to it. I just almost. My version of reading Scripture. Scripture is going to church and have somebody read it to me and then translate it. And I like it. I'm like, oh, that makes sense. That's really cool. And every Sunday, I'm like, I should read the Scriptures. And then I come home, I'm like, I have no desire.
Well, I had. We had an awakening happening just recently in our relationship, which is you felt safer to share deeper truth with me about your own hurt and pain and things that you want to see.
I'm on that, like, a lot, because I think I'm that person that I think. I actually don't think I'm abnormal. I know a lot of women do this where you just. You're like, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine. Until your eyes start twitching, your head pops off. And the reality is, is we don't want to burden people with our stresses or we don't want to open up about it. We don't want to open up that wound or whatever it is. So we just say, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine. And we're. We persevere or push through, and then we're resentful at other people for not explaining our own pain or sharing our own pain, right? So I was like, okay, I. I'm very. I am strong and I can push through a lot of things, but I don't need to stuff these feelings away, you know? And so, yeah, I just was like. And I would love to share them with. With you and not feel judged. I think it's easier for women to go share with their best friend and vent and whatever versus, like, if you were to go to share with your significant other, you're like, is this safe? Am I going to get judged? Is this going to start an argument? Right? And I'm not one to go on walks with girls and be like, vent with my husband, or even have a lot of girlfriends. I'm like, oh, my God, you know, I mean, I have Val as my trainer, and sometimes we'll joke around about funny things about our relationships. But the reality is, I was like, I got to this place. Place this year with a lot of things that I was tolerating in myself. That was a bad reflection of, again, me being, you know, resentful towards you and this. This lack of connection. And so I was like, okay, so I need to be better at speaking my truth. And it's like one of those things. It's not like I speak my truth once. I have to. You have to. I want to feel safe and secure. But you. It goes the exact same way. You have to feel safe. Like, is my wife going to blow up on me, or is she going to try just share her truths and then I know how to take them, right? Like, if I only share my truth once a year in an argument, it's gonna. It's gonna be an argument. If I learn how to be a better communicator and share my truth more often, then you know how to, like, almost receive them better. So that was like, one of the things for me this year is like, I was like, I need to stop telling. I'm myself, I'm fine. And if I come to you in a very, like, honest, vulnerable space, like, hey, can I talk to you about something I'm just having a really hard time with? And I even set it up that way, you'd be a total asshole if you're like, nope, absolutely not. So I just am like, hey, I'm. There's something internally I'm struggling with. I'd love to share. You share what that is. And then it's even a space where you don't even try to coach me, because I think in the past, you would try to coach me, and I'd be like, I want to be fucking coached right now. And so it turned into you, like, when I. When I set it up like that, you just know, like, that's key for her. Code for I just need to listen and support her in this. So you've been good at that. You're like, hey, how can I support you? And I'm like, I don't know. And oftentimes I don't know. I'm like, I don't know. But I'm having a hard time with this, and I need to tell somebody. I can't keep saying, I'm fine, I'm fine, I'm fine. So in turn, your reaction dictates, like, how I feel more. I feel safer to share.
Right, you have. I made this comment a few times in the last year, which is, you lied for 20 years.
I omitted.
You lied. Omission is a lie called the lies of omission and commission.
But everybody does that.
I'm not saying everybody does. I'm saying that you did. So, like, there was no way for me to know, as your husband what you were going through if you don't tell me.
Right? So I'm just saying this to all the women out there, like, this is not abnormal. Like, we run group calls with couples a lot, and it's like, a common thing. Women are like, well, I don't want to burden you. But then they're, like, kind of bitchy, but it's like, well, you didn't tell them what was wrong, and now you're kind of being a bitch. You know, I'm, like, acknowledging that myself. And it might be hard to hear because you're like, well, if I tell him how I feel, because, again, a lot of women are like, well, I don't know how he's gonna respond. He's gonna, like, attack me and Tsunami. And then I don't want to share my truth, and I just feel really, really swell. So the girl doesn't share because she doesn't want to burden, and she's also doesn't want to start an argument that where the guy is just like, Guys just. I don't know what the best word is, but, like, kind of just like, what do you mean? I'm doing all again? She's like, I just want to share my feelings, you know, so it's, it's when, when you have been less reactive, then I feel better to share. And I try to pick appropriate times to share and not wait till 9 o' clock at night when I've had a cocktail. And I'm like, you know what? You're really fucking bugging me today.
Listen, I mean, like, if we back up to this, there was a decision that you made last year, which was to stop lying. Which is great because, like, that's the foundation of all transformation. Like, when truth exists, God is found. And when God and truth exists, transformation is possible. Like, I've been saying this over and over. It was a statement that came to my mind in a meditation and some stack work I was doing a few months ago. And I just keep repeating it all over events, which is like, when I speak truth, God shows up in a more potent way. And when God shows up in a more potent way, the Holy Spirit shows a more potent way. With truth transformation or the literal, like the transformation of a human being from one person to another person, from triangle to square to circle to star versus just triangle, triangle, triangle, triangle. In different directions. Right. Which is what most change is about. Most people are. Most marriages are just changing temporarily for a month or two, then they're right back to the same thing, same fight, same debate, same issues. Nothing's ever resolved. Just the illusion, typically with sex involved, that everything's okay. Oh, we're having sex, we orgasm, Yay. We're feeling better, life's better, marriage better. Wasn't the case. So you, you hit the end of your rope though, last year, and you came to a place where you were just like, unwilling to continue to lie. That's really what it was. You can say commission, omission, whatever. Like, you just were done lying about what you were feeling. And you have been lying to me for a while about what you're feeling.
Like I said, I think I was worried about burdening you. And I was also worried about, like, the reaction. And so, and. But I got to this place where I was like, the reaction is going to be what it is. Like, whether we, we make it or we break it. Like, I'm unwilling to, like, not share my truth anymore. Like we talked about on our last podcast, it's like, choose your pain, right? To give you, like, what's the outcome that you're looking for? So I get. Got to this place where I was like, am I Willing to. Am I truthfully willing to risk it all? And I was like, yeah. I was like, okay, here it goes.
So that piece right there becomes, like, the cue. Like, that's the clue in the queue, which is, like, at some point, you're going to make a decision. And that decision is, I cannot continue to operate in the lie any longer. And in that place, you're then left with the decision, which is, okay, well, what do I do now with this place where I'm trying to make this change or transformation in my marriage? Well, I'm gonna have to come to a scary place. And that scary place is on the edge of a cliff. And that cliff says make or break. It's like, I'm gonna share this truth. And knowing that by sharing this truth, I am killing the marriage the way it is, there's no going back. And I think that's why it gets scary, because you're like, there's no going back. It's like, okay, I'm committing to tell this truth. And once this truth, you can't put the truth back in the bag. Can't pretend like we didn't hear the truth. Can't pretend like you didn't say the truth. This is what you're really feeling. Great. So you shared your truth. Last year, that truth sent us on a journey of discovery. Part of that was a fitness journey that came into play. There's a whole bunch of change that came into play. And one of the big changes was, was we started going to church and we started doing.
I made a commitment last year things, though.
I think there's so many things.
We went. We went back to church. We started training our bodies differently. We started doing weekly therapy calls. We started.
We did a ton.
We did, like, intentional, like, overnights and, like, we've done a ton, a lot.
But we're going to focus on one piece of it, because this one piece is where the breakthrough came for me today in therapy. So I started having this, like, I. I felt last year, at the end of the year, like, committed, just kind of out of nowhere, like, I felt really committed to, let's go to Ocean Church every week. Like, I just felt like this was something that would be good for our family.
Going.
We've been going for four. Four months now straight. We've missed, like, maybe twice, and that was because we're out of town and those we watch online. So, like, we've been going, like, every single week, which I. We haven't consistently gone to church as a couple in 15 years. Like. Like, 15 years of not going anywhere. We've hit occasional churches here and there, but not really anything serious.
No, we didn't find. We didn't have one liked.
And then there we are and we're going. And that starts to make a difference in our relationship. What did you start to know? A difference for us just with the church.
I feel like, I feel like our Sunday routines were like, lay by the pool and have a cocktail and do nothing and then go to bed. It's just like this. It doesn't need this. Sunday should be a day of rest in a way, but like it shouldn't be just getting drunk at the pool all day. So I was like, I need some purpose to my day. Like, I like to. I always joke around. I'm like, I don't need two weekend days. I need one weekend day. Like, I need a Saturday date night. Have some cocktails, do the pool thing, do the beach thing, do an activity, like, whatever. I need like one fun day. I'm like, but by Sunday, I'm like, I need a little more relaxed purpose to my life. And so I like the routine of church. It makes me feel lighter. It makes me feel like I have purpose today. It makes me feel like I'm inviting God back into my life. And I think it showcases an example for our children. Also.
When we started going, we started going and there were like weeks. You're like, are you sure you want to go? And I'm like, yes.
Is it weird that I don't read scripture, but I'm like a real big God believer, huh? Like, I feel the Holy Spirit daily. If that's what you want to call it. I mean, I mean, I call it like, I feel like I'm always talking with God. I'm like, sometimes he answers, sometimes he doesn't. Maybe I'm just talking to myself, I don't know. But I feel like I'm pretty, like a very plugged in person. But I just, I. And maybe I'm sure I could be more plugged in. I just think it's. I don't read scriptures.
Thank you. But because you get. Because you enjoy sermons so much better. Really? Well, I think it's just going to be a function of like having good books to listen to there where the Bible is intermixed with story time and updated modern talk and modern conversation and.
Yeah, it's not even that I don't believe in it. Like when they break it down and like to teach it and have a, add a principle to it, I'm like, oh, that's great. I can see why that's great. I just don't have a desire unless I found, like, a more modern translation. I could listen to an audio and then it kind of like, broke it down if somebody has one of those. DM me because, well, I think just.
Like, going back, I mean, there's so many. You could just like, Google it. But like I'm saying, like, there's so many different versions of the Bible, but then there's this piece of, like, desire to go after it. So we had the first stage, which was go after and go to church. That was new. And then I had something about a month ago, I just felt just kind of out of nowhere, I just felt like I need to start reading the Bible every morning. So I'd wake up early 2:33, and like, for about 30 minutes to 45 minutes, I study the Bible by myself. So sitting right here in the kitchen, right here by where we're in the podcast every morning. And then I started sharing that with other people. Like, just started sharing, hey, I'm just like. I wasn't sharing specifics. I was just sharing, hey, just like a little clip reminder that I studied the Bible this morning. I studied the Bible this morning. Studied the Bible this morning. And then we started using the Bible. Like, that started sparking me to have the Bible part of our trainings. So we started using Bibles, which we'd already been doing worship music and praying. Praying as part of our trainings for the past, like, year and a half, two years, which was totally new. And then you came to me on Sunday after, on the way home from church. And that was when you opened up about some really, really painful stuff we're not talking about here, but just stuff that you were feeling that needed to be discussed, that you needed to share. And you made a comment to me and you said you felt safe. It's like, I felt like you were. I felt like you were finally a safe place for me to share.
Usually when we go home from church, we talk about, like, church. And I just asked God, I was like, should I tell him about this? And he said, yes. So I was like, all right.
And you did. And then you were saying, but you were making the comment to me about how I felt safer for you to be able to share, tell more about that.
I knew that you had gone through some similar stuff so you could relate. And I wasn't being honest with myself self. And it's actually really painful to not tell anybody something. And knowing that you're just Lying to yourself, it's like you feel. It's like feeling like you're trapped in a prison inside your own head. And you tell yourself, like, that's fine, I'm good. Like, I'm good. You, like, you literally, like, lie to yourself. And then I just, like, one day was like, the fact that I have to tell myself I'm good over and over and over is ridiculous. And I'm over it. I'm too powerful, and I refuse to let this consume me. And I was like, all right, I just need. I need. And that's when I'm very stubborn to ask for help. And I was like, hey, I need help with something. And then I was like. And you're like, well, how does that look? I'm like, just you listening and not judging or saying anything is enough to help keep myself accountable. Because I've shared my truths with you.
Yeah.
So now that I've shared my truth with you, I'm like, ah, like, it's out there. Right. Versus before. I was like, lying to myself. But again, choose your pain. Choose your hell. I guess. I mean, I was like, this is. This is. No, this was working for me at some point, and now it is no longer serving me. It's. It's. It's mentally consuming me to a point that is not healthy.
Until you shared it. And then we were talking about this today in therapy with. With Stephen, about just what's opened up and the emotional side of this has opened up and why this has happened and why you think it was happening, why I was thinking was happening, and because I was really trying to clue into the fact, like, all of a sudden you were sharing with me things that it's not that you weren't sharing with me before. In the last year, you were less judgy. Yeah. And I was like, what's going on for me that has me safer to share with right now.
Stop judging yourself about. With certain things. And I, I find that people judge other people on something when they're like, really hard on themselves about this specific area. Like, it's like they could be like, really mad about something. And you're like, I think I'm just mad at myself for this. And it's projecting on them for sure. So I feel like there you've kind of, like, worked through some similar things.
Yeah.
And so you're kind of like, oh, I feel ya. I get you. You know, I didn't feel like you were in like a. A darker spot is even like last year, you know, So I felt Like, I was like, okay, I. I think I can. I feel like I could share this.
Yeah. So I started looking and saying, what's changed? What's been different? I said, well, we were going to church, we're doing therapy. That's. But that's stuff we've been doing already. I was like, what else have we been doing? And I started our date nights. No, we've been doing the date nights. Those are same. And it all came down to this one thing that changed about four weeks ago, which was I got up and I deliberately started studying the Bible. I ordered me a new Bible and like a big thick one. It's got like, kind of this, like, study King James Version, which I like, and it's got some study stuff that goes with it. And I put it on the counter. And every morning I wake up, it's the first thing I do now before I stack, before I do anything else, I just read the bible for like 30, 40 minutes, just right there in the counter in the kitchen. And that was when I started to recognize that a lot of what you've been feeling in me in the last month has come about because of doing this, that, that itself. Reading the Bible, as weird as it is, there's a part of my brain that doesn't even really know what to do with that. Of, like, how could it be that simple?
Well, it's like everything, like I said, you shift your patterns and behavior. You're already putting your time in somewhere to try something else if it's not currently working and look at the outcome that you get.
But it said to me, it was just, it's radical, like the fact that, like, I wasn't deliberately teaching you about the Bible. I wasn't teaching the kids about the Bible. I wasn't teaching really anybody. I mean, I was sharing it in events. But, like, the bigger piece here was that I was taking on the conversation of the Bible with myself every morning.
What do you get out of it?
I get a lot, like. But the biggest thing that I get in the morning is I used to wake up so angry. And I was. And now when I wake up and read the Bible first, it's like just kind of puts it. It just puts a totally different spirit over everything, which, again, I had never considered waking up. I was like, waking up and angry. That's why we came with rage stacks and angry stacks and all these tools we were using. And so there I'm sitting there and I'm like, I'm going to test this. And I tested it and it wasn't until today in therapy that I was made aware that the shift that allowed me to feel space and open, to hear you and listen was the insertion of the increase in the Holy Spirit in my life.
There you go. It's hard to be mad that I think it turns it to, like, a space of, like, gratitude and less at war. And then I've noticed a shift in you in the sense that you're, like, you're always so angry and always at work as you're not nine, eight. What are you? Eight, eight. Which on the Enneagrams is, like, always at war. And I. I even got to this last year that I remember I told you I was like, I don't care if you want to be at war. Like, that's probably a strength in business in a lot of ways. But I'm tired of being at war with you. I'm tired, like, there is no, like, we don't have to be at war to grow. That's like, a story and a narrative that you have that I'm exhausted. And I think you finally got to this place, too, where you were like, yeah, I'm tired with being at war at everything and everyone, because you can't truthfully see the good in somebody if you're constantly trying to fight to be right. Right. So it's this. You have to have this ability to have gratitude and gratitude, grace for yourself and others.
I think it's. It's been. For me, it's been, like, this thing that's, like, more than just gratitude. It's just. There's been just.
Just a letting energy. You said that with Bailey, you were like. You would get so angry because this and this. And I'd be like, she's 17. And it's like, when you let go and you're like, okay, you know, like, she's gonna. She's gonna do it her way, and she's gonna figure it out. We're gonna put some parameters based on her living at our house, what she can and cannot do. But ultimately, like, she's her own human, and you can't be so mad that she's not doing X, y, and Z, right? Because it kind of, like, affects you more. You know what I mean? It's like, you could be mad at your significant other, and you're like, why don't they want this? And it's like, why don't you just, like, let go?
So did you notice, like, in the last month, did you, like, did you notice this was happening?
For me, I just Noticed that you. I, Like, I told you. I was like, we've been. Both been really busy, and sometimes when you're really busy, we both get kind of resentful and distant. And it wasn't like that. It was like we were busy, and it was just, like, still like, hey, love you. Like, we. We still were connected, although distant, if that makes sense. And then on the weekend, it was just like, hey, I'm just really excited to, like, be with you. And it was almost like, I don't know what shifted in you. I was like, thank God. I'm like. Because I would, like. Like, we'd have, like, a week where we didn't see each other. And I was like, do I. Should I feel guilty? What should I do? And then you'd be like, you need to text me more and do this. And I was like, I'm busy doing my own shit, too. You know, There was so much pressure. It was almost like the pressure was off. And we. I would see you at the end of the week, and I'd be like, almost on eggshells. Like, I don't know what I'm gonna get with Garrett. Is he gonna be super angry at me? Is he just wanting to have a lot of sex? Does he want to have. Is he chill? Is he stressed? Is he. I felt like I was walking into, like, a time bomb. I was like, what am I gonna get? And so I would try to show up the best I could, and now I feel like I can just show up as me. And I don't know if you're depleted from carbs or whatever it is, but you just seem like you're, hey, babe. Like, there's, like, less judgment, and I don't feel like I'm walking into a ticking time bomb. And even if I do, you're like, I'm just tired. And you don't. Like, you used to be tired and pick a fight. And I'm like, I. And I would even come back and be like, I know you're tired, so I'm not going to take this personal. I know you just trained your ass off, and I'm super grateful that you're doing this for our family. And that would kind of diffuse the situation. But you've been better about just, like, I don't know, managing your emotions, maybe your reactivity. I think that was a big thing for us this year. Is like, I. There was like. I was like, I need you to work on one thing. And it would be if I could ask you and just be like, work on reactivity because I think in doing so that made me feel safer to share because I wasn't worried you're gonna immediately react and try to fix or solve a problem.
There's definitely been, there's just been so.
Many little things that we, we've like, so many that we consciously are taking an effort to apply to our marriage. And so when people, people are always asking us, what did you do? And I'm like, it's a combination of so many things. So many things. There's. There's not a quick fix. Like, there's not a quick fix to get a great body. There's not a great, A quick fix to get a good marriage. There's not a quick fix to be financially abundant. And it's not even like a five part series. It's. It's a daily conscious effort in all areas to be an awesome human.
So you have, you, you cat, you were the catalyst that started a lot of this. So go back to that piece because like you choosing to do that, a lot of couples listening where either the man or the woman's gotta have the courage to step up and do it. Step up and be emotionally honest.
Yeah, I, like, I said for me, like, I'm a five and fives are known for being very. Just not emotionally available. And I. The funny thing is I didn't want that. That was like painful for me, but I didn't know how to be this person that I'm not. But everybody can, can become something different. That's. They don't realize I was born this way. So, you know, it's not in my nature to do X, Y and Z. Patterns and behavior will change your nature. It's done it for me. Like, even our therapist is like, I want to give you kudos for like not very many fives. Like can actually. I can't remember what he said. But like they're, they actually figure out how to emotionally connect with people and put themselves out there like that. And I'm like, and also for me, when I started doing that, the love I got back from you or kids or even connecting with students, I was like, oh my God, that's so great. It was such a high. And I was like, I can't believe I've been so shut down and blocked off for so long and not reaping the benefits of actually considering that although my DNA structure or my enneagram says I'm this. Who can I become by consciously making an effort to change my patterns? So I don't know. I, I'VE now I'm like, I have my days or I'm better than others. But I, I, I genuinely, I genuinely believe, like, we're here for a reason and everybody has a calling. And it's like, if you do the you're supposed to do, doors will open. Like, I just genuinely believe that. Like, the more I'm like, okay, I'm gonna, I feel like I'm a vessel. Like, speak through me, like, whatever you want to do, God, but, like, I'm going to do my part. I read a quote on Instagram that's like, God can't steer the ship if you don't start rowing or. I can't remember what it was. It was a really good quote. It was like, kind of like, God can't give you opportunities if you're not going to work for them too. You know, like, you got to do your part.
Statement along that line is like, God can't, God can't drive a parked car or can't row it. Can't move a. I can't. Remember, I said stationary boat.
Yeah, something like that. If you're not rowing or something. But, but I, I believe that, I think that you'll, the more opportunities you get is because you, you're, you're doing the work right. And you can't put too much pressure on that. It's just like, do I believe doors and connections will open? So, I don't know. I just feel like there's been a lot of times in my life where it's like, I have felt a direct call from God that's like, are you ready? And I'm like. And I always say, yes. I'm like, yeah, let's do it. And I think that's why, too, we're at where we are because I can literally think of countless times where I was like, okay, if that's where you, what you want me to do, I'll do it, you know?
Yeah.
So.
Well, there's been a, there's been such a jump in consciousness, such a jump in awareness, such a jump in capacity. I mean, like, across our entire life in the last 12 months, the amount of growth that has occurred for us in every single domain, the way our bodies have moved, the way our spiritual relationship with God has moved and being, the way balance moved with sex, intimacy, and communication with you and me, the way that we're parenting with our kids, the, the way that we're operating, running our businesses, like, everything has not, like, kind of leveled up, but, like, significantly level up at the same time. But it's not. It doesn't. I mean, it feels heavy, but at the same time, it doesn't feel heavy. Cause it just feels like we're adding like one or two new things every couple weeks. That just gets added to the system of what we're already doing. And we just add that thing and we go.
Like, I don't think it's. I don't. I honestly, like, when I look at my life day to day, I don't think it's too heavy, but when I look at kind of the big picture of everything that's going on, I'm like, oh, that's a lot. But, like, day to day, it's like, I have my routines, I have my schedules, and it's. It's. It's fairly easy. We take time to travel and do the things and the date night. And so it's like, I look at my life, I'm like, it's beautiful. Like, we've created a really beautiful life and it's not unachievable. I think that sometimes, look, people look at our lifestyle and they think, that's not. For me, that's not achievable. And life is whatever you created, whatever you want it to be. And it doesn't happen overnight. Right. So I. I don't know, I feel like I'm in this space where, like, I'm happy and content, but I know that that's not. That won't. I always am going to be learning and growing and. Yeah, that's what I signed up for.
We have been pushing for a while.
I. Now that you talk about, I kind of want to take a nap in Dubai because, like, I was on. I was telling my trainer this this week. I'm like, gosh, why do I. Like, I just feel low energy. My head hurts. And she's like, okay, number one, you've been cutting. You're at peak week. It's your birthday, you have five kids, you're doing like multiple photo shoots, and then you're going to Dubai. I was like, that's a lot in a week.
It's a lot. Yeah, it's a lot. We have been. We have been pushing. We've been pushing real hard for a long time. Yeah, like, this is going to be a great. What's next?
What's going to happen?
I don't think we're gonna figure it out in Dubai. We think, oh, by the time we get back. By the time we get back, like, this show have already been posted.
Yeah.
The fitness competition will be over, done. Photo shoots will be done. We start posting those pictures online because.
We spent this whole year focus on these things, and now we need a.
New person in Dubai and who knows what we're gonna see. We're gonna see, like, some new insights to the world, and I think it's.
Gonna be more about you and I connecting and having a good time, because that is good too.
Yeah, well, I'm absolutely open to that and excited about having that occur, cuz. Yeah, I'm tired too. It's been like a long. It's a. It's wild because it's already been four months into the year.
I know.
Five months into the year and it feels like we've been traveling at like Mach 22.
I need a nap. Just talking about it.
Need a nap talking about it. With all the carb depletion.
I know. I literally was like, I think I'm due for a meal. What do I have?
Asparagus. So wild. It's so wild how, like, having carbs and not having carbs makes such a radical difference.
I went to go do a leg lift this morning and like, nothing happened. I was like, my brain just told my leg to move and nothing. I was like, it's the lack of carbs. I was like, that was wild. She's like, yeah, like, you just can't push anymore. I'm like, huh?
It's like the way he'd been tapering me on carbs for the past two weeks. Now we're finally to a place where, like, there's no carbs.
Stretch.
I mean, I had. I had a rice cake with some avocado on it.
What the hell, babe?
Don't what the hell me.
I had a strawberry.
