Bodybuilding has completely unleashed our sex life.
We were always pretty good, but.
Yeah, we were good. But it's now like your certainty in the sex game is through the roof.
I went from being shy, introverted Mormon girl who was raised to think that sex was bad. No, no, no. To a porn star in the bedroom. And you can, too.
Well, welcome to this week's date your wife podcast. I'm starving and gonna eat my wife's arm. So we're in a cut right now for our upcoming bodybuilding competition. Or should I say naked photo shoot.
I'm not doing a naked photo shoot.
Why?
Why? Why do you care?
I want the naked photo shoot. I am going to get naked. But are you going to get naked with me?
My last one, I got painted in gold. That was pretty cool.
Exactly. You'll get naked when I'm not with you, but you won't get naked when. When I am with you.
You want to get, like, painted and gold.
No, I don't want to be painted gold. I want a double naked shot with you. I want to intertwined, twisted, like, pretzel, naked shoe.
You did that on our last one.
No, I want you fully nude. I'm fully nude because I want to have that photo for us.
I'm not going to do it.
So why won't you do it?
Why can't I just wear some skimpy lingerie and do. Because it's just shadows. If you're just looking for, like, a cool, artistic photo, then you did a.
Topless shot with shadows. You got painted gold. You did all these things without me. The minute I actually get naked with me, you're having a hard time.
I had Amazon, and I wasn't twisted up in a pretzel with you.
Well, exactly. Twist up in a pretzel. Covers your. Covers your breast more than you did in the photo shoot.
I know.
Gold. You weren't covered. You were covered in gold. Nipples, vagina.
Everything would, like, pose me. It's different when you're saying, like, hey, I want to be naked with you, and I want it to look like we're having sex.
I didn't say that. And I didn't say it was like you were gonna lay on your back and spread your legs and get a photo.
I'm like. And naked.
No, like, intertwined. Holding each other. Two physical. And it's gonna be one.
And then show me your idea. You have this idea.
I know. And then underneath it, you know my one. I'm naked. And I'm standing there in that thing and I look Greek statue from last.
You show me an inspiration photo, I'll let you know.
All right, well.
But, hey, we're getting there. We're getting closer. We're doing it.
Your no means a yes. I know what you really mean.
No, it doesn't. I just said, show me inspiration.
I will show you inspiration.
Well, yeah, it'll be fun.
I'll keep giving you shots. Tequila. Until you're ready.
Okay. Hey, you know what? I. I am. Did you know that Carter said that? He's like, he thinks I'm still going to cut another five pounds off my frame. I'm like, dude, where am I going to go? Because I told him. I was like, yeah, I have lost two pounds in two weeks. He's like, perfect. We're right on track because he cut my carbs two weeks ago, and my body's responding just how it should. And so he's like, yeah, perfect. Keep going. I'm like, okay, But I'm like, dude, we're five weeks out. And I'm like, I feel like my body's gonna, like, plateau at some point, but he must have a plan, so I'm just gonna trust the process.
He is a champion, but.
Well, I told him. I was like, dude, I'm like, the smallest I ever got on stage was like, 107 or 108. And he's like, yep, we're gonna get you probably somewhere between 105 and 108, which I'm like, okay. But I have more muscle than I've.
Ever had, so I'm like, you're even more hard cut then.
I know. So I'm like, he's going to, like, lean me down. But I'm like, how could.
I don't know.
I'm just going to trust the process.
Our daughter's like a natural rock star. She plays life by her own music, and she beats the drum to her own tune. She creates her own fashion, changes her hair color every 15 minutes. Yeah, we're just talking about your style, and you just kind of. I mean, what. What do we got going on?
She comes in, she goes. She goes, basketball, men's shorts. She comes in, she goes, mom, does this look cute? And I'm like, yeah, but I don't know if it looks cute. I just think you're cute. And if you feel good in it, that's all that matters.
You have your. You have your own style, and it's. It's wonderful.
I wanted to see shoes, but I wanted to see photos from Nashville where you handmade yourself a tie shirt? Yeah, I handmade a tie shirt. Everyone told me afterwards, we can't hear.
Any of what she's saying on the microphone.
So you just show me, basically. Long story short, a lot of people's feedback was that I have really good fashion and that they want to help me make a fashion clothing line once I'm famous. Bailey D. White fashion coming at you.
Bailey D. White, fashionista.
Did you know I did sewing when I was little? Like, my sisters were both, like, dancers and cheerleaders, and I did sewing classes. I didn't know my sewing would come up, come full circle later.
You made clothes?
Back when I made clothes, I literally, like, my, like, my, like, summer hobby was, like, sewing clothes. But you know what? Now I sew hair extension. So it came full circle.
Why don't you just make your own clothes now?
Oh, it's too expensive. It's way too expensive. No, I seriously, like. Like, I haven't sewn for years, but I remember thinking, like, oh, actually, when. When our first daughters were really little, I would always make their Halloween costumes. And there was one year we didn't have a ton of money, and there was one year I was like, I just spent $200 on Halloween costume because I made it. And I mean, it was way cuter than anything you could buy, but I was like, I can't. Oh, it gets more expensive to make this stuff. So, yeah, I didn't keep doing that.
But so we now, with that little temporary distraction from our daughter, so we. We are in the final four weeks at the time we're recording this.
That's why I'm, like, having a hard time.
My second competition. Your fourth competition?
Yeah, my. After my first one, I was like, I'm definitely going probably. And then after my second one, I was like, I definitely am not going pro. And people were like, really? Why? And they're like, you have, like, the shape. You could totally do it. But bodybuilding for women has changed so much. Even in the last five years I've been doing it.
Bodybuilding for men and women is at a level that is off the charts.
Yeah, you can't even go pro as a woman unless you're on drugs. And I don't want to be on drugs.
I do want to be on drugs, and I am on drugs.
Okay, well, I'm just saying. But to four women, any of them that are on the pro stages are all cycling for something.
Of course, everyone. You can't not, like the entire.
But it didn't have to be like that at least for bikini. Like forever ago in the bikini division, like Val went pro without getting on anything.
And those girls that were pro then wouldn't make card now.
Oh, they wouldn't? No, not at all.
Not even close. But that's the thing across the board. It was interesting we were talking about this in CrossFit. The CrossFit Games open, it's happening right now. And Jeff, my right hand guy at Warrior and Danielle and I is kind of like right hand guy in our business and life. He was a Games competitor and a regional competitor. He's fucking insane. Such a good athlete. And we were talking with some of the girls at Lifetime who are competing right now in Open. They're not like regional competitors or just girls that are passionate about CrossFit and they train at Lifetime for whatever reason. There's an alpha program there. It's like CrossFit at Lifetime. And so I was talking to them and they know Jeff from Lake Forest CrossFit and they were talking and we were just sharing like times and weight, et cetera. The women now 2024 in the CrossFit Open are smashing weight, moving weight that the men in 2009, it's all drugs. When CrossFit came out was like, what's. What a lot of the top men were doing now the top women, the weight is because the only way to make it competitive, the sport took on real athletes. It's not. The athletes in Benjamin beginning weren't. But Ironman was the same way. The minute there was money and the minute there was like sponsorship and available, all the elite athletes started showing up. And when that occurred, I don't think they do drug testing across it. And even if they did, like, I'm in this weird position with the whole thing because people ask me like, well, you know, I'm natty, I'm like, okay, and what. But you, you kind of, you kind of do it too.
You're like, I'm natural.
I don't use drugs.
No. Here's what I realize is I value how I look off stage and off season more than I do on. And these competitors that I'm not against the drugs. I literally am like, cool. But I was like, I don't like, like I don't want to feel bigger on the off season. I don't want to put on that much size that if I'm not super shredded. Like, I love fashion and clothes way too much. And I like being more petite.
Yeah.
So for me. But like when you're bulking, you're like, I Love it. And even I'm like, you look great.
Like fogging love.
So that's why I'm like, even off season great. You lean down, you look great. And I know you're like, oh, when you're curvy, but if I was actually on drugs, it actually committed to this sport and really like took it on, it would mentally for a girl. Even the competitors are like, it's hard.
Well, you have to. You have to allow your body to like for a girl to be much different for a guy. Like, I actually get more compliments. The thicker I get, I get more attention. A man world six packs don't go far in the man world. People don't really. Men don't give a about six packs. Women give a about men with six packs. But most guys don't care about six packs. Most guys don't care if another dude has six pack.
Yeah, it's almost what does this dude.
Look like when he walks around? So, like, as you're bulking, you just look bigger and you look more intimidating. In an alpha man world, it's a bigger deal. It's like having a beard. You wear a beard and you don't have a beard.
It's like, like, since you've grown the beard, how come your voice has dropped a few.
Well, this is what happens when man shows up.
Literally, like in the last, like, month, your voice has gotten real.
Yeah. Do you know why? Why My balls are attached to the beard?
I thought. No, I mean, is it. Is it the stuff you're taking? Have you noticed your voice is dropping? No.
No.
Is my voice Dr. Yeah, Like, I don't know if. I don't know if. It's like, when you walk around with the beard, you feel more power. You feel like.
I definitely love the beard more. I like having the beard. I really enjoy it. And I appreciate your, like, you know, anti nagging campaign that's like, ceased.
I have a petition.
Yeah, well, you've been doing a good job of petitioning. I've been trimming it up and I've been doing well with it. We have determined that my barber and I though the HGH absolutely accelerates. Like, bro, I think you could put an inch on that beard every month. That's fucking ridiculous.
Yeah.
He's like, if we actually grew this thing out in less than six months, you'd have five to six inches of beard beard growth. He's like, we could do the full King Leonidas, which I kind of want to for my 50th birthday. I'm going to 50th birthday. I'm going to be £250.
You're only 47.
I know. I'll turn him 48 this summer at my 50th birthday celebration bash. I will not wear a shirt the entire time. The whole party. My shirt is off. I might have my shirt off for a month. I might not even take my shirt off at all. Just have my shirt off, and I'm going to be 250 pounds. I will be 8% body fat or less at 250 pounds.
Support this. It's all about balance.
I will be massive.
It's all about balance.
It's like, there's no balance in this. There's just giant.
You have, like, your body's going to be in such good physique that you're like, I'm going to have whatever beard I want, right?
Yeah. King Leonidas giant gray beard.
It's like, you can't show the girls and have a short skirt on. You got to balance it out or it's going to be too slutty.
Exactly. I don't want to be slutty for you.
Don't be slutty on your 50th. Don't show. Don't show all the goods.
Hey. I am just. This entire fitness game that you have gotten us into, which you did, it was all you. Thank you to your coach, Val, for really supporting you.
It is wild. It's hard, but I feel like I'm a better person when I'm more disciplined. I just feel like I show up differently with my family and my teams. And it's like, it's so different when you make a fitness goal and you have, like, a checkpoint at the end. Right? So so many, like, even women in my program or a few of my friends and things, I won't name names, but they coach with Val, and they're like, why aren't I getting results? And I said, cause they're only committed four days out of the week. And then they feel guilty, and then they won't share all their truths with their trainer. But then even when they do, they're trying to b balance this. I want to have fun, and I want to lose weight. And I'm like, you can't have both at the same time, so you need to commit to a window of where you're just not going to have a lot of fun. And then you're going to, like, slowly add fun back in. Right. And it all comes down to, like, they want this quick fix. I'm like, you want your cake and eat it too. Like, you can't do that. And so for me, it's like, I love having these goals because if I didn't, I almost did the competition with you last year, but I never actually physically signed up, so I never actually committed fully to the diet. And I kept saying, like, oh, my body's just not responding. My body's not responding. I didn't commit. That was the real truth. When we actually signed and paid, I was like, I have to get my ass on stage in a bikini again. And so I'm more honest with my efforts and commitments. Right? And so people are like, why do you do this? I'm like, cause it actually helps me hit my goal. If I wanted to lose five pounds or whatever, I'm in this range where I actually like my body. And do I care about the five pounds? Right? Or you get comfortable with 30 pounds, you're like, do I care about the 30 pounds? But ultimately, like, you keep going on these crash diets. Women do this all the time. So that's why, like, for me, that was, like, the reason I wanted to do a show with you. But also, I just like having the commitment because I know I'll get results when I actually commit.
Well, it's working. I mean, four weeks from now, we're going to be in a photo shoot naked together. That'll be exciting. And then the next day, we're in the competition. And then the next day, we go to Dubai. Next day's my birthday, and next day is your birthday on the 28th, and you'll be 41. And on your birthday, we get on a plane for your birthday. We fly to Dubai for, like, five, six days. Five days. And then Oman for, like, five, six.
Months, centered around the show and the trip. Like, literally four months out of the year. We've just been talking about, like, the show and then the Dubai trip. Like, it's going to be.
It's going to be amazing. We'll be the most shredded we've ever been as a couple together at the same time. And we'll be traveling to a destination in the desert and having an amazing experience. So it's like, this is going to be great. Like, I'm. I'm very excited about, like, I'm just excited to do the comp with you, which I think would be different. My brother and his wife are doing it. Parker's not doing it, but he was talking about doing it, like, five times. Kind of like talking about how he's.
Going to show Up I go. You don't really care about doing it. It's just like, people always get inspired. Like, I. I'm gonna do it, Mike. But what is your why behind doing it? And then they realize they don't really have a why and they don't care. They just thought it looked cool that they. They saw somebody else go through the experience.
Well, that's how it goes across the board. Like my very first Iron Man. Well, not first, but when I finished Konkona, the World Championships in 2007, and there were all these people inspired by me doing the Iron man, and they were having all these comments and conversation. I'm gonna. I'm gonna do the Iron Man. That's so inspiring. You've just inspired my life. I'm gonna do the Iron Man. I'm gonna do the Iron Man. I'd do the Iron Man. And not one fucking guy that said there were even guys that bought the Ironman bikes.
What was your why behind doing the Ironman? At the time you were.
At the time, I was looking for something to distract me. And I truly believe that God was leading me on a path with my body. Just like I believe God's leading me on a path now because I had gotten into Marathons in 2004, and then I got into Ironman in 2006. And that. No. 2005 Ironman, 2003 Marathons, 2000, 2005 Ironman. Ended up in the World Championships in 2007. Then I got into Ultras for three years and was running 100, 150 mile races. I was 170 pounds and I was running all the time. I learned to suffer.
Yeah. Yeah.
In silence. And it's also when I found, like, the voice, which eventually would become known to me as Christ. I didn't know who was talking to me, but I had this voice that showed up when I was completely out.
Of my mind running. It's like, who are you talking to?
You know, it was awesome. It was like being a plant medicine natural high.
It's like why a lot of these endurance junkies do it, because you get so loopy that you're tapped into, like, another realm.
You completely are.
I always explain your ultramarathons, like my pregnancies, like, literally, like, there's like this piece where you're, like, the person you become on the other side. You're like, whoa. I physically did that, like, like, especially with Isla, for me, because I had found out I had that dvt and then they had to. They, like, were worried about Preeclampsia. And they sent me in to get me induced, but then they found out I had taken my blood thinners that morning. But then they induced me with no pain meds. Like, labor on its own is painful and then to be induced with no pain meds. Like, I tell people, like, all the time, I'm like, yeah, I kind of think I, like, blacked out and then came back in.
Wow.
Like, that kind of pain. I remember there was this period where I was standing over my own body watching myself do a contraction. And I remember thinking, keep going.
Sorry.
I was like, do you got a call?
Nope, I'm doing a story.
Yeah. No, so I. Now you got me, like, all distracted.
Well, you were talking about being induced and how pregnancy is hard enough, but then getting induced even worse.
So, like. Yeah, so I was induced with. With no pain meds. And literally, like. Like, it was just like it was an outer body experience. That's the only way I can describe. There was moments where I felt like I was watching myself go through the pain. I physically kind of like, had to tap out of how painful it was.
But, I mean, it was, it was, it was. You were. I was watching it.
The birth reminded me of when you were like, doing your ultras and you, like, you just have to go somewhere else. Like. But it also shows how powerful the body is, right? You're like, whoa. Like, how many times do we sell ourselves short? Like, the body is a gift, right?
It's incredible. Like, I, like, I look at. I was like, talking about this with my guys this weekend at our event. Last week was. I've been down to £170 running, going out of my. Sitting at our cabin in Bear Lake, Utah. It is 50 miles around the lake and it's like the night before at 6pm or something. And I think I'm standing on the deck and I'm looking at this lake and I'm like, it's 50 miles around. I've ridden my bike around this lake a few times. It. I'm gonna run around this lake tomorrow before we go on the boat. And I wake up at 2am, get my shit, pack, my pack, put my running shoes on, take my headphones only. Will last for about an hour and a half because then I get too bored and I have to just run with nothing. And I ran the entire lake, 50 miles. Then you guys picked me up and I went out on the boat the rest of the day.
You know, it's so weird that I.
50 fucking miles around the lake, you.
Know, What I just realized is you. You. That is how you talk with God.
It was how I found God.
And it's interesting, too. Is it? Yeah. I was just, like, thinking anything. Like, that's why you even love, like, the plant medicine. It's like, it takes you out of this reality a little bit. Right. And it helps you connect in a different realm or a different way. But, I mean, I don't. I mean, I kind of got into it because you got into it. And so, like, even something as simple as, like, running a marathon, I remember I'd be like, I have no desire to ever run a marathon. What kind of crazy. What kind of nut jobs run 26.2 miles? Then when you got into ultras and all this, I remember I was like, I should be able to run 26.2 miles.
And so you did Las Vegas marathon.
And you did it with me, and it was fun. And then my knees hurt for weeks, and I was like, I will never do one of those again. But I, like, checked it off the list. And then I actually trained to do a triathlon and never did it. I don't know why. I didn't really have.
You're scared of open water.
I was scared of open water, and. Which is funny because I was a lifeguard in high school, but I still, to this day, I'm a little bit scared of open water.
You're scared of open water. I don't know why you don't like to go in even if it's warm.
I know. So. But yeah, the perspective of you doing these crazy ultra marathons, all of a sudden, it made it, like, doable for me.
Yeah, right.
And how many times do we, like, look at something as, like, too far out there, too big of a reach, and then somebody puts perspective on it, you know, it's like, even for us, when we were going to all those masterminds, I've shared this before. You know, we're thinking we're like top ballers making tons of money. We've done it. And then we put ourselves in rooms with people that are, like, making what we make in a year that afternoon, and you're like, holy shit. There's always another level, and there's always. There's always this new place you can go. And I think that's what fitness has been for us. Because, like I said, I think fitness and everything in this journey, like, your body, it all kind of ties together. There's stuff you can't figure out with just, like, business. There's stuff you have to Physically put your body through to like connect all the dots, if that makes sense.
Listen, the interesting part about the body is like the body can go like two extremes. I can go from 170 pounds ultra running and Ironman to 250 pounds of bodybuilder. That's a, I mean that's a 80 pound swing in weight. Like right now I'm 220 pounds. I'm literally 50 pounds heavier than I was when I was running ultras. 50 pounds on my frame.
You look so anorexic. That was scary. That was as like when you, you know how I'd always be like nervous when you go do your plant medicines? I'm like, ugh. Like I was just like nervous for you when you were doing that. I remember feeling as nervous, like I was like, like why is he doing this to himself? And now I kind of understand it. It's like it's God's way of building you to who you need to become, right? You have to build your capacity in order to essentially help other people.
Well, in this version of me, like people have asked me like, why am I doing, why am I doing this? Like what, what is this? £250. In my plant medicine journey in March of 22, it was the very first plant medicine work I'd ever done. And I saw this vision of myself sitting on this asteroid in eternity. And for those who've never done any plant medicine work, you're like, you're fucking crazy. I totally get it. But for those that have, you can appreciate what I'm talking about. And I saw myself and had this moment with myself where myself was saying, I've been waiting for you. And then it wasn't until a year, year and a bit later where we. I took on bodybuilding with you and had no idea what I was doing initially was doing it because I was wanting you to do plant medicine with me. And then you told me you're not committed to implant medicine. If you want to do fitness, it's gonna be on your decision. And I made a decision for myself and then the feedback and just how I felt about myself has been so positive, you know, almost 48 years old and I'm not these 27 year old super jacked kids that are just super freak, all the super Olympia champions, like they're incredible.
It's their full time gig and they have no kids and they're not married.
So jacked. But for me as a 47 year old, almost 48 year old, starting in a bodybuilding at 47. I mean actually it was like right when I was turning 47, I got into it and I'm, I'm super happy.
You and I for our age, we compete.
We do.
Even if we were in our twenties, we'd still look good.
I mean I think this, this, this show, I think I'll actually get to really compete a bit. And then by the fall I'll be.
Able to compete medals in all your last.
I got medals but you know, it's like I'm. I don't know, I didn't feel like I was like competing, competing for real. I think I'll be ready to compete in November. I think November. We'll walk on stage at 2:30. And like right now, do you still.
Have the desire to do any more plant journeys? Plant medicine?
I haven't had as much desire for it this year. I did last mushroom journey I did was in December and that was okay. It wasn't great.
Which one was your favorite?
I mean the very first one is real tough to compare to because it's just like the first experience. There's no way to define. You can't describe. There's not words to describe. Like trying to understand what, you know, the pastor seeing in the book of revelations, trying to describe what they were seeing in vision. Like until you've done or experienced really deep Planet Medicine work, there's not a language to describe it. So I, at first time is such a shock and it's such an opening to your soul, at least it was to mine, of being able to see this version of myself that was always there but I'd never, it's so. Knew how to get to.
It's so interesting because it's like, I think it's, it like part of me wants to experience it with you. Almost like how you've experienced fitness with me and I'm like, isn't that cool? And. But then part of me is like, you know how sensitive I am to things and I'm like, oh my gosh. I just don't want to feel trapped. And I've only had like. I've literally done no drugs my entire life. I've taken like a couple gummies and smoked a couple, hit weed a couple times. But like even when I took like a half of a gummy one time that my girlfriends were like, this is so mild. I was like, that was the worst experience of my life. I just felt like I was like, it almost heightened my anxiety and I felt like I couldn't get out. So I think if I had never experienced that I would be more open to doing this because I'm like, oh, my God. I don't want to feel like I'm, like, sick and nauseous or trapped or like. I'm like, to me, that was total hell. And they were like, we gave you, like, the kids version of that.
Marijuana is not the psychedelics that we're taking. Marijuana is just very different. It's a very different experience. It's not. It's not even close to the same. It's just totally different. It's like. It's like apples and oranges. Like, the comparison is like.
But then I think what else scares me is people. I hear people going to do the ayahuasca one or whatever, and they're like, I just puked my brains out in the tens. I had to purge. And, like. And you pay. Why did you do that to yourself? Did you like it? Mm. I'm like, I don't want to be out in the tents.
It's like giving birth to your baby. Like, you pushing a baby out and it hurts like that.
Yeah, but I got a cute baby at the end. That's the high. The high. The puking in between. Sucks.
Yeah. And the output from plant medicine is like having a baby. It's like having a new spiritual birth of yourself.
So you do get sick.
Yeah. No, not in the stuff I've done. I haven't gotten sick in anything I've done.
I haven't done ayahuasca, though. I'm sick. I know.
And I'm sure that you do. You know, typically you purge on that, no matter who you are, because it's part of. It's like cleaning your system out. But the mushroom work I've done, and ketamine and MDMA and dmt. All right, what else have we done? I mean, like. And then the stacks that we're doing them with mda, like, it's just been very. It's very, very powerful and empowering for me, but I haven't really been feeling it. I've got a whole stash of ketamine that's been. I'm supposed to be using already, and I just can't seem to care to use it. So the one thing I tell you is that if you try to use any of that stuff, recreational, it's no good.
Yeah.
But if you're using it to search for something or heal from something, and you're not just using it as a drug, but using it as a medicine or as a sacrament, the experience is totally Different.
Discover something about yourself. Yeah, no, that's what intrigues me about it. I'm like, that I want to have, like, this, like, revelation for myself. I just am, like, worried I'm going to be on the side of the tent puking.
I mean, you might, but I mean, you also, like, depending on what, like, there's some medicine work we could do with, like, mdma that would be super connecting. That's not. It's not going to make you sick. You're not going to get nauseous. Like, I mean, you could. Technically you could, but it's very unlikely. And it's like, they use it, like, for heart opening for couples, like, big time. They'll sit couples down. You use mdma?
Is it monitored?
Yeah. I mean, you're dealing with shamans or you're dealing with guides or individuals who have, like, experience of reps in it, and they'll guide you through it. And it's. I mean, it can be really deep, like, and all of it can be really deep and opening you up. But again, all it does, in my experience, applied medicine is it shows you a version of yourself. So imagine there's a version of Danielle, like, three years from now, who's a grandma.
Oh, my God.
Hey. And that version of grandma Danielle is.
Okay. She has those of you that missed our show a few weeks back, our son got engaged and they said they want kids early. So I was like, no.
Yes. Bring on the grandpa life.
It's a group discussion.
Grandpa and grandma life is coming at you here on the Daisy Wife podcast.
Hottest grandma and grandpa competitors.
Hottest grandma and grandpa competitors of all time. So anyways, like, bodybuilding has been, like this thing for me that is. It's just opening up another version of me.
Yeah, for sure.
No different than every other sport.
Well, I know. And I think that's why, like, if it's been really, like I said, it's been really cool for me to see this. I'm like, yeah, isn't it fun? So then I'm kind of like, okay, maybe I need to just try this. And then we. Then we'll be on the same playing field.
That's how I ended up in bodybuilding, because I wanted you to try plant medicine.
Yeah.
And you were like, so against it. And then you were agreed to me in Miami on a napkin at dinner. You said, I would check in a napkin, a medicine journey with you if you do a fitness competition with me. And I was like, done. Sign the contract, babe. And we signed the napkin contract. And the next day you backed out.
That was, like, one of those moments. I didn't think you'd actually sign up. I remember I woke up the next morning, and you're like, I already registered and paid. And I was like, hold on. I'm not gonna register and pay for a journey right now. Like, I was like, whoa. So if you're gonna do it, do it for you. But I think it's helped us, like, kind of not come closer together, but just, like, have this, like, different level of respect for one another and definitely, like, attraction, because it's like. I don't know. It's like there's a certainty that comes out of a person when they go down the sport. And so it's like, you didn't. It's like you become this person. You didn't even. You already thought you were like, oh. So I think there's been an attraction factor for both of us, for sure, because. And again, I said this on one of our other podcasts. It's not because of the muscles. It's about how the person carries themselves and the certainty they have. That's what's sexy. Yeah. It's about the body because you feel good, but really, your energy is what's sexy. I'm like, I like how you feel more masculine. I like how you carry yourself. It's more attractive.
I agree. You too. I mean, if you add, like, from your. If we took you and divide our whole marriage up into two seasons. Season one was from the time I met you to right after the birth of Ayla, when you started training for your first fitness competition. So four years ago. So essentially 20 or 19 years of your journey. With me. There was one version of Danielle, and then in the last four years has been fitness bikini competitor Danielle. Fitness bikini bikini competitor Danielle is the most confident, certain version of you that's ever existed. There's something about, at least from the outside, like. Like having to get on stage as a woman with a damn near nothing on, and you're in high heels and you're being critiqued.
Yeah.
Your body's being judged by a panel of judges.
What's weird about that? I remember when I was deciding to do it, and my nutritionist at the time was like, what's your why? He's like, because I don't usually just recommend this sport. It's very tough. He's like, so, what's your why? And I was like, well, I. At the time, I was like, well, I just have my. My third daughter. I lost the baby weight. I want to, like, Change. Like, no, what's your why? And I was like, I'm an introverted hairstylist that is terrified to speak in public. And he was like, let's get you on stage. I was like, okay, but it's. It. Actually, this was, like, during the time, too, where we started doing more big hair events. I was speaking with you, and it helped me, this certainty, actually, even though I was still scared to speak on stage and teach and train, even though I felt called to teach and train and speak, getting more certain with myself helps me in business. And I was like, oh, my gosh, big time. Like, I can. Like, even now. Like, we went down to the salon today and filmed, and we're reading off of a teleprompter. And I'm. And I'm good.
And like, you guys have a teleprompter?
Well, we just did it on iPad. There's an app that is pretty cool. Anyways, so. And I'm like. I'm like, gosh, this. If you would have, like, showed me this version of. Of me. I'm like, whoa. Like, I thought I was there, but then you turn on the camera, and I was like, Like, I can't say anything, you know? So for me, it's just been. It's kind of helped me in all areas of just like, yeah, let's go. What are we doing?
Well, it's like, unleash you and your certainty as a speaker. It's unleash you and your certainty as a. As a trainer. It's unleash you and your certainty as a sexual, sensual woman, too. I mean, your. Your sexual. Your sexual release.
What did it do for you?
Well, it's doing the same thing. Like, it's building. I mean, it's just building. I would say, like, the description of what's happening now is I would walk in a room, and if you didn't know who I was, you might be like, who's this guy? And then the minute I started speaking, you're like, okay, who the fuck is this guy?
Yeah, yeah, you're good. Speaker.
But now I walk in, and my physical presence matches your already demands respect. And then I talk, and it's like, one, two, punch, knockout. And they're like, oh, my fuck. Who is this guy? Like, legit, like, now, like, the physical body. I've walked into situations in business meetings with guys that are overweight, and they're just carrying a little bit extra body fat. Like, not a little bit extra. Like, a lot. And they're powerful. Dudes make a bunch of money and I'll walk in, dress like just normal clothes. Clothes are tight and tighter now because of the size of my body. And there's an immediate up and down look and there's an immediate game which they will put themselves in a lower status.
It's like more intimidation factor, way more intimidating.
And it does. Just because you have muscles doesn't mean you're going to be intimidating. But the energy between everything has been very different. Like, being able to be that kind of place. The same kind of certainty you found. Am I feeling like the same certainty in. In sex with us too? Like, I feel like me getting bigger has, like, allowed you to feel there's.
Something about it safer. Yeah, I was gonna say there's something about it where it's almost like as you get bigger, I get more feminine.
Yeah, it's 100 softer. Yes.
Oh, cute.
Yeah. Like at 170 pounds, I was way too close to you.
I like that role. I'm like, oh, there's my big guy, you know? Well, I'm also a tiny human.
You did say, like, it was like a few months back. You were like. We were talking one night and you're like, well, I know I said I didn't really care about muscles, but it appears that I'm a muscle girl.
I just. But like I said, it is about the muscles, but it's about, like, how you operate and how you.
Like how I carry myself.
Yeah. I literally told you this. I'm like, oh, there's the man I married. I've always seen you to be this person. So it's cool that you're finally recognizing this in yourself. I'm sure you look at me, same thing. You always thought I was cute and sexy, and now I'm recognizing this in myself. And so it's just been like an interesting and fun journey.
So we get bodybuilding completely unleashed our sex life.
We were always pretty good, but.
Yeah, we were good. But it's now like your certainty in the sex game is through the roof.
I went from being shy, introverted Mormon girl who was raised to think that sex was bad. No, no, no. To a porn star in the bedroom. And you can too.
There you go. How to go from conservative uptight double blinds. Wear your north face jacket.
Five comforters on this, you absolutely guaranteed I could sell you. Raised Christian. Guess what? I'm gonna let your inner stripper come out. Join my four day bootcamp.
Join my four day bootcamp dot how to go from how to go from saint to slut in four simple steps. The bottom line of this, it was like, this is exactly what women want. Women want to feel this way in the bedroom with their husbands, and men want their wives. No matter how conservative the man is, at the end of the day, this guy wants to have a wife who will unleash.
This is what I hear, like, for a lot from, like, your guys. They'll say, like, I. I don't want my wife to just throw me a bone. I want my wife to actually want to have sex. And that comes from inside the woman feeling safe and confident. So it's like. Like, there's times even with us, where I'm like, yeah, I don't care. It's more for you than me. I really don't care. But I also love the feeling that I can unleash, that I can feel safe, that I can feel sexy, and that's. That's way better than even an orgasm for me.
Yeah.
And all women want to. To feel that.
Yep. And all men want their women to feel that.
Well, and that's. I say they. They do. And so they're like, I want my wife to want to have sex.
Yeah.
And that's.
And I want her to. And we want you to feel comfortable in your skin sexually, and you have. So fitness is a path. We've got a competition happening April 27th.
