Daran scheitern Software Seller #softwaresales #saassales #vertrieb #salestipps #meddicc

In this German-language coaching video, Jiri Siklar reviews a stalled enterprise software deal with his coachee Raimund. Raimund has a signed contract pending with a CIO for three weeks but receives no updates. Siklar explains that the delay stems from a broken stakeholder chain: Raimund talks to the sales manager, who talks to the IT lead, who finally talks to the CIO, the ultimate decision‑maker. Because Raimund never engaged directly with the true project champion (the IT lead) nor the economic buyer (the CIO), the deal cannot be accelerated at this late stage. Siklar argues this pattern is symptomatic of many software sales teams: they focus on firefighting at the end of the sales cycle instead of establishing ownership and accountability during discovery and demo. The core lesson is that early identification of who owns the problem (the IT lead) and who controls the budget (the CIO) is essential; without it, attempts to close the deal become impossible and the entire opportunity may burn out.
